That's the big 4000 amp Noco. Easily jumps diesel truck. I did a test. I had a 7.3 with completely dead batteries. The Noco started it six times. Don't compare the packs with lithium battery to the giant lead acid batteries. Tha Noco he has is a beast.
@@leviheim and many times they would not start, ever hear of dead cells in the battery ? Look it up , and educate yourself. New engines have high compression hence they also have high torque starter which need more amps to start , hence the need for dual batteries and again if one battery has a couple dead cells and the other one is weak well you will need more then one jump pack to start it.
The 6.7 is a beast of an engine and the ford super duty has stood up much better in the oilfield off road environment. The engines and frames have handled more weight and the transmission has done really good. We started with fords in the fleet and moved to Chevrolet and then to dodge and then right back to Ford after all the problems we dealt with. I’ve never had a single smaller jump pack start a diesel with both batteries dead. You a bigger jump pack for that or one on each battery. That exhaust blow of the turbo or turbo down pipe by the lifted 250 wasn’t on fire. That was common for the 6.4 power stroke when modified and tuned.
@@stevenbrooks1243 definitely didn’t with us and 2 separate fleets of trucks. However the GM’s and Ram trucks did with all the down time. Since they were under warranty and part of a fleet we didn’t pay for most of the repairs but it damn sure hurts when half of your fleet is in the shop due to transmission, suspension, exhaust, body issues. Not going to say we didn’t experience issues with the Fords but they were definitely far less and they were actually loaded down heavier most of the time.
It cracks me up, you’re out there looking for a great deal on a minimally damaged vehicle at a total loss insurance auction site. That’s like shaking a whore tree and expecting an angel to fall out! I love you’re determination and dedication! You are tenacious! What happened to the AC unit at your shop house? Love the content, great job!
Insurance write offs aka "total losses" can mean a lot of things and not all vehicles are "total loss" insurance write offs at Copart. Let alone that an assessment is not always correct. 🤷♂ He know what he is doing and is in that business for a long time. 🤫😊
18:01 I have a company truck, that’s an 2008 f250 with airbags, we don’t even maintain it a lot, it has never let us down. I don’t know if it’s cause we got a good one, but I think as long as ur reasonable with older fords, nothing bad should happen.
Those small jump packs only work if both batteries on diesels are in "okay shape" ,new truck need to have the voltage and amps to start. That White Ford you tried to start showed that you did not have enough juice when the dash lights cut out . . Use two jump packs, one on each battery. On the bent drive shaft for the F150 , just go to drive line shop, and they will make a new tube for it, probably cheaper then a used one.
On the white Ford 250 super duty, zoom in at 4:23 and see if it doesn’t look like a hole broken in the front differential from the pinion gear. I can’t imagine why that would prevent it from starting, but it certainly shows abuse.
If you read my comment i have some advice Ecoboost 3.5 and the cyclone (3.5 3.7) has a issue with the water pump it will leak coolant in the crank case and spin the bearings, $1,800 to replace it $7,000 for a replacement engine
Randy, it might be worth contemplating the 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch. This model featured a 3.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine, a strong competitor, producing 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.
I would definitely go with the Coyote. Eco-boost just has so many extra things to fail. As far as Diesel Fords, the 7.3 is great, the 6.0 can be made to be a good engine, 6.4 has issues and 6.7 is better than the 6.4 by far but still a lot of EPA garbage. If I got a 6.0 or the 6.7, I would want to do a bulletproofing kit on them and get rid of the EPA crap.
37:20 - They aren't expensive, vTuned just made a price breakdown with the repair cost on his 2017 F150 2.7 Ecoboost where he had to replace the driver side headlight ;)
I liked my 21 f250 gasser as a work truck. 10mpg tho ouch. But great driver seat. Yup it had a key but it did at least have Bluetooth Previous foreman who had it let it go it's first 18k miles without ever changing the oil once, but that didn't seem to hurt it any. Even better was my 91 E350 extended van with the wheelchair lift for my mower.
5L f150 4door . I have a 2014 f150 4 door I pull my john deere 3032e with bushog or disk about 12000 lbs no problem fuel mileage is the same pulling or empty.
Parents bought a Ford truck with tow package & all on it-first trip they took with it & their fifth wheel, blew up the motor in it-fought with Ford on the warranty before they ended up just getting rid of it & getting another truck.
Randy, the 6.0L in the GMC/Chevy 2500/3500 don't have AFM/DOD as this engine is considered a heavy duty truck engine and doesn't have the stricter emission standards. Plus, it has hydraboost brakes so you will always have power brakes even towing WOT.
@9:15 If you have a luxury interior in a work truck, it makes sense to take care of it. Otherwise, why would you bother having such a nice interior in the first place? 🤔
Randy, don't change from RAM to Ford!!! I'm a senior master tech for Ford here in Georgia. Ford has the most recalls by far. DON'T DO IT!!!! Also, the comments about that small jump pack not starting the diesel, I have the same GB150 and it starts them with no problem.
Have a look around some private dealers for a straight F150 so you get a nice clean one, im sure you would get a good trade deal with a garage, they like keeping there stock moving,
You will be begging for your diesel back after towing with a gas truck. Down shifting on every grade no engine braking to speak of and best of all 6 to 10 mpg depending on how hard your right foot is pushing..
Randy! The pick and pull lot I go to has a 2011 F150 with a 3.5. It has the drive shaft but I don’t know if its the boosted engine. If the driveshaft is the same, I’ll go pull it for you!
I love the King Ranch. Be fun seeing you put in back the was should be. I don't think it will cost much. If the video's are strong you'll make alot of the money back. I'd keep it until you find the one you love.
Just get a 07-13 Tundra. Will last forever, and never give you issues all while you can work it like a 3/4 ton and it wont complain. Stop worrying about the 3 american trucks that all have their fair share of problems.
The 2015 f150s are known to tip or role over easy due to be so light so ford add more structure into the cab in the 2016 models and up to stop it from rolling over cuz of the aluminum being so light when ur driving
6.7 sounds like it’s locked up. Bummer you can’t get the trucks running. You’ll find what you are looking for just might take a bit. Maybe if you can find out how you can get that king ranch running
On that king ranch F150, I believe theres a spot in the center console to put the key incase it's dead. I'd also treat it as if it has double the mileage on it. Considering the condition its in and how trashed it is, its likely been driven hard and poorly maintained. Looks like a money pit on wheels, hell just stay away from it
All engines these days have major design flaws. It's all depends on how on top of maintenance you are. Anything with timing chains needs replaced at the most by 200,000 miles. But usually around every 100,000 miles.
Was kind of liking how that all black excursion was looking but then again I only saw one side when he walked by lol also what's going on with that all white mustang you bought and showed in a previous vid let's hear that stang lol
You're not gonna start a Diesel with a small jump pack.
He’s done it many times…..
I’ve done it many many times when people have said the same thing
tell us you don't watch the channel without telling us you don't watch the channel

CP4 🤢
those cabs are called extended cabs, and the other type is crew cabs
Super Cab and Super Crew to be exact
Ford called them super cabs I know as I had an 04 F250 super cab
On the King Ranch I believe there is a slot UNDER the rubber mat inside the front cup holder (at least there was on mine). Insert fob there.
For the 2016 F150 that has the vandalizing put the key in the cup holder under the rubber mate I believe

Just between you and me, where do I find this whore tree? :P
Total loss vehicles are not what they sound, 100% of vehicles the insurance company deems "not worth our investment" go there.
The F250 when you first tried to start it did crank a little but then you just heard that clicking
I always love everything Randy posts. He's worked hard for what he has, and I always wish the best for him.

Did I mention, THEIR FAST AS HELL😊😅
You'll get better fuel mileage with a diesel. Pre-DEF is the way to go. I love my 01 Ram 3500 dually and it gets 17 mpg.
That older F150 golden / brownish color really looks good and sounds good /
Hey Randy to get that F-150 King ranch started I think there is a insert for the fob in the armrest

A bunch of Blue Ovals where @ that yard Randy Transit Connects, F150s,F250s & F3550s i think may seen a couple of F450s aswell.
Happy Tuesday Randy
If you want an eco boost, get a 17 or newer. 17 started with the second gen eco boost, much better
The 8.1 in the chevys are great I pull horses every day with it they only come in the 2001-2007
Everybody that does not know the 8.1 is a motor

If you read my comment i have some advice
Ecoboost 3.5 and the cyclone (3.5 3.7) has a issue with the water pump it will leak coolant in the crank case and spin the bearings, $1,800 to replace it
$7,000 for a replacement engine
I have a 2017 F150 and it runs great, and gets 18 miles per gallon. Only down fall is it is a 2.7 v6 but it does have dual turbos. It will move.
That ford excursion Is definitely something to buy would sell for way more then you will pay and never die buy It
My Ford's key fob goes in the cup holder(under the rubber)

The 5.0 in 2018 and newer have problems with consuming oil. I'd stick with 2015-2016 w/ the v-8.

the earlier 6.0's still get lifter/cam lobe problems..

G'day mate been saving a lot of your vids always great to watch
Randy buy a mint condition king ranch with a 6.0 and make a series on bulletproof diesels kit and how anyone can go spend 10k and have a great truck

What's the problem with the Ford you put wheels and tires on?
Chevy Z71 with the heavy tint is a good buy.

If you can find one with a 7.3 l gas engine p is a really good engine and be perfect for towing
