Honestly, wouldn't be too bad if lead by Queek Headtaker and with the same buffs. Only downside is that Stormvermin deal less damage than Censer Bearers.
@@frankhenschel4008 the big problem would be the lack of physical resistance right? Stacking resistance is extra powerful and stormvermin would be way worse because of it. The armor would be nice tho

@@wobblefoot7607 Yeah the way the rng is seeded in the game makes it really annoying to save scum for good outcomes. I just really don't like how unreliable Moulder's faction mechanic is, especially after those massive nerfs. Why wouldn't I just play another Ikit Claw campaign instead?
The nice thing about Infantry Doomstacks is the replenishment you can get after a fight depending on the faction you play. Monsters don't get any replenishment from casualties if I recall correctly which is why a life caster and high army replenishment are so much more important with those.
Short, sweet and to the point. Using magic in conjuction with the doomstack rather than in spite of it is the best way to go about it imo, it is part of the doomstack after all. 10/10 video for a 10/10 stack. Good shit Legend.
I tried such a stack, but only after installing 3 mutagen mods, making these mutagens faster and not requiring save scumming. It was ok, but Brood Horrrors were still easier to use. I would not recommend this without those mods though, it's too painful, and better to distribute that mutagen to couple monster armies.
as doktarr says, the impracticality really is the problem. It's the kind of army you get after you've basically already won the campaign. Brood horrors and mutant rat ogres do really well with just a few mutations, without a mod to remove the instabilities, just imagine how long it'd take to get this many mutations on all these units.
I feel like since this army is made as moulder, you have to compare it to the brood horror+instability doomstack. For me, this army loses a lot of points for how mutegen expensive it is. You can effectively make 3-4 brood horror armies for the same mutegen cost. 10/10 for the performance in most battles, 4/10 for cost, 4/10 for magic vulnerability. Overall 6/10
I think this should be a 9/10. Not because it's not strong, it's because is inconvinient. A lot of effort was put into this one, while a weapons teams doomstack can work even if you don't farm traits in the heroes. I mean, obviously the weapons teams doomstack whould be a lot more powerfull if you farm knowledgable and cunning attributes, but it doesn't really matter if you have reasonable leveled heroes. In this, you kinda need the monks to be this absurdly overpowered for the doomstack to work. But by any means, this is clearly a strong army, and I didn't expect it to work that well against dark elves.
10/10 unlike weapons team doomstack this one is no brainer doom stack, works on any terrain, all you have to do is get in melee. On top of it no heroes are required, and recruitment is simplified, you just need 1 specific building, and even without a full stack this lineup can be horrifying, while weapon teams doomstack relies on burst firepower to not allow enemies to get close, and getting full stack is a must.
I think this would be a 10/10 if skrolk is in command of this even though he only reduce the upkeep it still helps though but yeah skrolk when he dies is impossible to bring back so I agree with your rating.
It's cool but also weird to see all these factions using the specialist troops of one faction but the mechanics of another, like the Savage Orc doomstack using Grom's Cauldron to make it amazing, or using Skrolk's favored troops in a Throt campaign. I hope to see more interesting combinations like these with other factions and future DLC. Males we want to try out other combos!
If skrolk was in command it would be cheaper, but that's the only real improvement I can think of. 50% physical resist on plague monk censors is funny to watch
This stack requires a T5 (not too big deal), Thrott the unclean with all tiers unlocked (A bit more tedious, but always happens) and bazillion hours of tries if you don't savescum. The regular weapons team doomstack of course isn't as strong BUT you can start to build it on ~turn 5 with the abandon main settlement trick, while this one is clearly 100turn+ stack. Now what would be _really_ interesting to see would be this plaguebearer army vs the greenskin 10/10 trollstack.
It is definintly weird seeing a melee infantry army doing this well, even supported by a little magic this did very well. 9/10 or 10/10 are both fair ratings in my opinion. Not enough skaven came out in this fight though
I use the mutation that gives them fear as well as death frenzy instead of vanguard and leadership. It makes them unbreakable, they get AP and damage buff and with censor bearers and fear they break shit stupid fast
i tried to make such a stack, but I wasted tons of mutagen and had to recruit and mutate 50 Plague Monks just to get 12 of them with 4 mutations. So I assume the guy either save-scumed or was suuuuuper patient. Anyway kudos to him for the DS This stack performed great but IMO it's on the same inconvenience level as Morgul Haunters DS. By building this you are also weakening other armies
My meassure is: If it can eat through 2 full stacks in under 20 minutes, is easy to use, and every unit survives, is worth at least a 9, very much worthy to try and use. Convenience and how easy it is to recruit, I don't really mind, especially if it's an army you can use from the moment you get it, up until the end of the campaign. Then, so long as it isn't ridiculously costly to field, has magic, and it's versatile enough to not be melted by certain units in bulk (such as artillery or monsters), it's a 10 for me. Then we have this one. It's easy to use, cheap to field (relatively), tedious to get, very strong, has great survivability, has a good lore of magic, and even though it could be better if lead by Skrolk, I still think is worth a 10. It could be stronger, but I don't think it needs it. Waywatchers and such could be a problem, but magic is a good remedy to those.
The issue is, it's the kind of army you get when the campaign is basically over anyways. It's a very strong army, but the skaven (particularly throt) have other strong armies that are so much easier to get and can still take out multiple stacks fairly easy. Maybe their power lvl is slightly lower, but it's not worth the time taken, save scumming to stop instabilities, getting all that growth juice and mutagen. Without save scumming, the time taken would be even worse.
I feel like doom stacks are army compositions that do a lot better than they should. For example, darkshards, if the unit performs like a 10/10 then it should get it.
Not bad idea I might try Confederate Queek as Moulder, get juiced up Stormvermin and Clan Rats see how that works, 2 Plague Priests and and Chieftain maybe.
I'd say this is 10/10 if we count savescumming as a legitimate tactic, but if not then this is way too random given the nature of mutations to do practically
The issue is the other skaven doomstacks are so much easier to recruit. Even with save scumming this army would take a long time to get, without it'd take an age.
Battle Performance: 10/10 (no complains) Campaign Influence: 10/10 (no real sacrifices /making disadvantages required) Accessibility: 4/10 (nightmare to achieve without save scumming, but should be strong enough even with lesser results) Result: 24/30 -> 8/10 very good
I don't know about this score man. I feel like there are too many certain types of units that are very dangerous for these guys - flying lords (especially wizards), artillery, skirmishers, and maybe some monstrous units although they did take that dragon out fairly quickly so I'm not sure about that one, even though basically handed it to you on a sliver platter. I think I would like to see this army perform against something stronger with more units that are actually a threat, and not in a choke point either. But for now I think I would take a point off for the extreme cost and time it takes to build it, and another point for lack of options when faced with certain enemies, so 8/10 for me!
I don't think the most important thing is battle performance. The best army for the lizardmen is the pompous doomstack and it is indeed incredibly strong. However, the simple issue with it is, that it takes so long to get that by the time you have it, the campaign is either over or very close to it. Unless you're going for full map completion this kind of army has serious difficulties because of how awkward it is to recruit, and the skaven have a number of different very powerful options that are so much easier to get.
@@jeetsidhu7912 why am I wrong? In battle performance, sure it's 10/10. However, the stack is incredibly tough to get. Look at the guy who made it, he said he only managed on turn 120 WITH save scumming, without save scumming it'd probably take easily over 220 turns, probably nearer 250 and an incredible investment in mutagen to get. Most campaigns finish way before that amount of turns, so it's just an extremely impractical doomstack to get without save scumming, and even with save scumming it's an awful lot of effort.
9/10 because it is still worse then brood horror doomstack (imo) but it was more effort to get it to doomstack status. Brood horrors receive the doomstack status if they have cellular instability, and everything on top of that is a bonus. This one however relies on many levels of mutations, and is pretty costly to pull off. And last part I like it most when a doomstack is up against something that traditionally counters the stack well, But I saw very little magic used against them, but a single flame storm could annihilate entire units of them. (fire compensates for the magic res because of fire weakness) And since these units are so resource expensive to make, just having the risk to easily lose 1 in a single spell is a pretty huge weakness.
It feels very, very arbitrary how these doomstacks are validated... Sometimes, you say "I can't use magic because I can't test the doomstack." Sometimes, you cheese the everloving fuck out of magic. /shrug
9/10 Yes, it's absolutely an undefeatable monstrosity of power in the battlefield. But the sheer amount of effort you have to do to get it is unholy. ESPECIALLY considering you'll have to save scum to get it. There are other armies that were docked points because they're just upkeep expensive, and I think this is a far more impactful cost. Let's be honest here, by the time you get this doomstack, the game is won.
Based on a previously stated definition of a doomstack "a group of units performing above their paygrade". I'd say it has to be a 10/10 because melee infantry are so bad, and they beat two decent dark elf stacks.
Seems like the guy got rid of their discouraged effect and gave them poison instead, bit of a trade off.. Also it seems like this army might struggle against monsters/single targets, that was not really tested.
honestly they have high enough melee attack and a ton of entitites that the single entity would just be swarmed and killed pretty fast. Even without the mutations censer bearers are decent enough against single entities as long as you protect them ok, with the mutations it'd be easy.
Don't forget the fact that it's easy to kill them with magic while it's nothing to a brood horror or hellpit stack this is why no infantry (including missiles) deserve 10/10 because there are single entity stack that also 10/10 but it's imposible for ai to deal a lot of damage to them via magic.
It's hard to make but easy to use. ^savescumming it only loses you time not in game resources so I think it's fine It's good in all battle conditions but I think it can't rush an empire arti spam. I'd give it a 9.9/10

honestly they have high enough melee attack and a ton of entitites that the single entity would just be swarmed and killed pretty fast. Even without the mutations censer bearers are decent enough against single entities as long as you protect them ok, with the mutations it'd be easy.
Based on your rating system id give this a nine because its really good but could have some optimizations that would make it cheaper or easier to use
^savescumming it only loses you time not in game resources so I think it's fine
It's good in all battle conditions but I think it can't rush an empire arti spam.
I'd give it a 9.9/10
9.5 because it requires a lot of save scumming but isn't hard to make.
