I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
Because I'm not that way anymore

Love ol Alabama....watch them at Myrtle Beach before they were Alabama....as a teenager, then in the 80s as a Soldier .. now as a Disabled Army Veteran...still listening to them ...Rest in Peace Jeff ...Thankyou Alabama for the great music...
This first time I saw them was in a little country bar in San Jose California. Cost maybe $5.00 to get in. I’m guessing it was the early 80’s. I still have Jeff & Randy’s autograph they so graciously gave me. God I love them!
ALAMBA forever! 💗!
Live and breathe ALABAMA since the late 70's and onwards! RIP JEFF...thanks for the music!
Rest in peace, Jeff. 🙏
Back in the 80's I was the only Puerto Rican kid listening to Alabama in the hood. It's 2021 and I am still listening.
In the 80s I was the only Guatemalan listening to Alabama. I was lucky to visit Bama and made some good friends in Selma, Dallas County.
good choice juan! i do the same!
That's awesome. My mama loved Alabama! She played these songs all the time.
You simply ROCK🎉❤👍🙏😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I Started Out As An Early 80's Rock Then Turned Into A Late 80's & 90's Country Today.
No one will ever be Alabama. Except Alabama. Best group ever. Harmony, Harmony, Harmony. The best ever. Try to do what they did. Aint gonna happen. They keep me alive. Aint no sunday drive.
I love the line “ I swapped my loafers cowboy boots, got me some jeans and gave away all my suits” Alabama! All time greatest band!!
Probably one of there most underrated songs. This is a good one.
Not to mention Jeff cook’s amazing guitar solo in this
It should’ve been I burn the tires off my Dodge truck trying to impress the girls that I f. K
But I know they gotta cater to the ignorance of followers and dip shits it just broke my heart that a good decent Christian man like Randy Owen now is supporting the LGBTQ driving one of the LGBTQ‘s most popular vehicles amongst the gay community in the F150
My girlfriend in h.s. who I later married introduced me to Alabama.until then I was a stone cold rocker only listened to rock and roll. Not married to her since 1991 but I'm still listening to Alabama and have a large and varied music collection, you never know what will be playing on my earbuds.
@@skeller67sk this song wasn't a hit but its good, i dont even think it got radio play. My favorite group.
they are the beatles of country music
But, only women like the beatles
Well, stated-!!!
Indeed. I discovered their music in the late Seventies..Now i'm in my senir years...STILL the Beatles of folk and Country------ALABAMA!
Randy’s hand flick at the end….love him and this band!
Thought I was the only one who caught that
Alabama, the greatest band of all time they will never be duplicated been a fan since 79
I'm 57... been an Alabama fan since high school...And I am that way still!
i never get tired of Alabama!!
My favorite group. Just sad that Mark is no longer there.
Or Jeff
Always and forever an Alabama FAN.
I remember this song bringing tears to my mom's eyes, this one and Changes Comin On. I'm 40 now and my mom is 70. I get it momma.
Amen lostangel.
lostangel6896 Truer words never spoken!!
I"m 56. Tell your mom I get it too.
I'm not that way anymore either, but I still love Alabama. It is timeless music. RIP Jeff.
I still blast these boys in 2021. Best band ever, PERIOD
As we grow older we're not that way anymore. Great song, thanks so much!
This has got to be one of their best songs. Great sound and harmony.
Try 2024 and will listen and watch there videos forever 1:54
Simply the best ! RIP Jeff 😢
I've seen alabama 19 times. Met them several times. Huge fan. This is hands down their best song ever. You can just hear the truth ringing out in harmony in this tune. Awesome. Pure magic. Too bad music isn't "that way anymore" :(
My dad used to blast these boys ...brings back so many memories!! love it, thanks for posting
My dad too
The best Band ever.
their voices mesh so well. when they all 3 sing together in beginning, my ears were dancing
Damn,what a band.Great musicianship and great harmonies.
They still have it after all these years. They are awsome. I have seen them in concert years ago.
Love Always from these performers who have withstood the text of time!
❤️❤️❤️
Awesome band one of the best ever
Good Lord what happened to great country music???
Artists that are great can't get much airplay these days.
@@HeathRichards-m5n
That is SO TRUE
Alabama my all time favorite band. I love them
I'm not that way anymore either, and it feels so right.close enough to perfect for me.
The only country band I listened to in the 80's.
You sure did miss out on alot of great music.
Best country song ever.
Its a great song but best ever, can't go that far. Best country song ever I think was "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones. I don't even think this is the best song Alabama ever had. "Fire In The Night" is one of my favs. Love "Close Enough To Perfect", "Mountain Music", "My Homes In Alabama", "40 Hour Week", "Dixieland Delight". They had so many great songs. I finally got to see them in October 2016 in Evansville, Indiana along with Charlie Daniels. What a great show, they sounded just as good as they did back then.
@@gregrowe1168 , Folsom prison IMO. Nassau coliseum live is my fav.
Alabama is my favorite group because my dad was a truck driver my favorite song is roll highway
The last time I saw Alabama I believe it was in 85. Charlie Daniels opened up for them along with a new singer who had a couple of hits named Reba McIntyre. What a show! I sure miss the 80s.
Kenny Davis I grew up in the 90s and I use to have they’re albums on cassette tapes gosh I really do miss the old days though I hate 2020.
Always 1 of my favorite Alabama songs from our hometown boys
first cassette i ever owned was mountain music!!
I remember 1984 like it was yesterday. I was 20 yrs old and had left home for the first and had my whole life ahead of me. I lived with my sister in Little Rock Ar and heard all of these songs on KLRA and KLPQ there in LR. I remember listening to Brother Hal every morning when I drove into work. Saw George Strait for the first time in April of that year at BJ's Honkytonk. Great memories!
Awesome times, weren't they? The 80's were to me what the 50's were to my parents - you really had to live through that decade to understand how much fun it was. I have so many fond memories of those days - the girlfriend I never really got over, the house parties, cruising with my buddies in my '74 Pontiac (The Brown Bomber), just seemed like a better society when people were happier, didn't it? There are times when I wish I could go back to those days for a while. Well, I guess I still have the memories...
"WE USED TO GET CRAZY"...when we were younger!----BUT WE ARE NOT THAT WAY ANYMORE!
One of the best country bands ever R.I.P.Jeff
"My razor is rusted, my barber is bored" love that line
It's hockey playoff time, eh!
think it might be my razor is rusted my barber is poor
+Charles Rulo talbet

These boys are great!! I turned my dad onto them in the late 70's at 11 years old. Was fortunate to attend 2 June Jams too. You boys are the best!
I like this music
And this Band I haven’t remember for many years
This music is my favorite
Ah, keep burning the tires off your old Chevy. You can still be that way to this day 😄👍

I haven't heard this song in years and I forgot about it. Just came across this by accident. Nobody is ever going to top Alabama.
Love these Bama Boys
❤️💖❤️
R.I.P. Steve Adams, a good friend who used to sing this song while we cruised in my '74 Pontiac back in the good old 80's. Miss you, buddy.
I'll bet that song shocked some of their fans !
reminds me of my younger days growing up. miss those days
I am not like I used to be anymore either! Life makes me more careful! Love living, but this old hippie is gone! I love living and want to be happy and safe! Love to you!

I have always loved this song, but most of all Alabama. They were my first concert and we saw them every year after that. Randy remembered us every year. I'm 4'10 and my husband was 5'10.😂😂

Lyrics :)
We used to get crazy every Saturday night
We drive into town and get feeling right
A child of the 60s in '74
But I'm not that way anymore
Well I burned the tires off my Chevrolet
Trying to impress the girls that I date
And I've been a gambler when I couldn't score
But I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
American Bandstand, The Sullivan Show
I listened to the Opry on my radio
Well Dick Clark's still looking as young as before
But I'm not that way anymore
Well I swapped my loafers for cowboy boots
And bought me some jeans, gave away all my suits
My razor is rusted, my barber is bored
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way anymore
I'm not that way anymore
Time's closing yesterday's door
I'm just as happy as I was before
'Cause I'm not that way
And you're not that way
We're not that way anymore
Oh yeah, yeah
Thank you
❤
Amen. Thank God. We were crazy lunatics back then. We are not that way anymore ✝ 🙏 ❤

It’s hard to believe when I look at Randy owen
Eirich member him when he was young well so was I and I’m 16 and he’s 74 I think
Probably one of the finest bands that ever hit America eyeball genre is country rock ‘n’ roll your name nobody can beat Alabama as the great entertainers they were for better part of 25 maybe 30 years for all I know
I give them 10 stars
MI tema favorito de Alabama es único :) !!!!!!!!!
damn good country tune...
RIP Jeff
It also has the same melody as well as the Fate Of The Plain Chant, as well, too.
best!
Don’t get me wrong I love "If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band)" but I always thought this should’ve been the A-side or maybe even the fifth single off Roll On.
The Greatest Band Ever! These guys will always take me back to my childhood in the early 80's.
Love u aunt Debbie
