Lyrics:
There's an old flame burning in your eyes
That tears can't drown and make-up can't disguise
Now that old flame might not be stronger
But it's been burning longer
Than any spark I might have started in your eyes

THE BEST COUNTRY BAND THAT MY EARS HAVE EVER HEARD! ❤ STILL 2024!!!!!🇺🇲
How can you not like Alabama
This is real County music unlike County music today
Funny, critics said Alabama wasn't country in the 80s. Now you're doing it to today's country. Think about it.
@@LinkRocks never remember hearing that.
I'm not a country guy like at all, but a little while back I bought this old busted up cassette tape called country gold that had a bunch of various artists and songs on it from back in the day. This song was the opener of side one. Two full rotations through and I was belting this this one out loud lol
Not a born country girl but now live in a smaller town, and like it, a d love Alabama!
Love this song
Group good bunch of singers
This video is great. Thanks
It's a really good tune by Alabama and it's not a sappy tune at all lol
FOLKS THIS IS REAL MUSIC!! THIS SO TAKES YOU RIGHT DOWN MEMORY LANE TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS! PURE CLASS!!😊👍
And hearing Alabama and watching Randy Owen sell it too. Their voices, his facial expressions, and his little hop never gets old.
@@Traci59 👍
I have always loved Alabama music..I just turned 77 years young , because music has a way of lifting your spirit and taking you back to long ago...Randy Owen has always been my favorite singer of all times..
@@barbaramclendon7967 💜👍
One of the best Country vocals and Harmonies you'll hear, like hearing a Great Eagles Track with most of the Backing taken away, reminds me of Mo Bandy and Band in the Mid 70's. (Just add The Eagles are the most Fantastic Band I ever seen Live, with the Orchestra and without)
Never get tired of Alabama. Bless you guys.
My heart hurts! Rest easy Jeff...you will be SO MISSED! Thank you for all the years of the best music!
What a perfect voice for this song I love this lyrics. How are you Teresa ?
🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️🇺🇸
A grown man sitting here with tears in his eyes! So many memories that this song brings back! Time slips away so fast! I was a young man then. Now I’m knocking on seventy. So yes, this music pulls at my heart strings!
So curious. Hopeless romantic here. Did you have an old flame? If you did, did you go back to find this person? Why or why not?
Me too Crying my heart out Memories hurt sometimes
My mom was a country music lover, me I tolerated it. But listening to these songs I remember my parents driving us around on a Sunday drive and listening to this I was 7 or 8. Now I’m 48 and my mom is gone sure wish I could take a Sunday drive again.
That’s how it’s done ladies and gentlemen. The talent here is unreal.
The memories of seeing Alabama will never fade ❤
Just saw them last night!
Starting listening to these guys when I was in high school and I am almost 60. Still my favorite band to this day! Their music never gets old!
They started singing in the late 70s
I'm 71 so yes, he could have heard them in highschool - since he probably graduated around 1981.
I started listening to them when I was 17. I’m now 53 and listen to them almost daily. Been to 13 of their concerts. Favorite band of all time!!
Yep, class of ‘84 and remember them well, especially when they played the Houston Rodeo. Still have the ticket stub in my senior memory book, along with a George Strait stub.
Alabama will always be my all time favorite country band. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
This takes me back more than 30 years, hows that possible? Loved this band!
Me too loved them.
In 1981 8 Track tapes were still in fashion when Alabama created this masterpiece. I am listening in THX now. 🙂
I’m 22, and honestly I wish this type of country was still popular! Nashville needs to get its act together soon!
Trying to bring this kind of country back.
I’m with you!
Sometimes I call the radio station and request this “old” country.
I love this country music so much better than today’s stuff. I’m just going to be respectful and keep it like that😀
Right
one of the best song Alabama ever made
Marianne Barnes I agree pure country.
This and Close Enough To Perfect are the best. Old Flame is the best though
I actually prefer their older stuff.
R King This is their older stuff
Yes one of the best pure country songs, but sadly very under played in my neck of the woods,
Just saw Alabama in Nashville July 3rd, 2021. Randy's voice is still as strong as ever. There will never be another Alabama. I'm so glad I got to see them - finally! I've been a fan for 50 years!
I got to see them years ago - many years ago lol ... they did autographs after the show. Got my album signed - it was right after Old Flame came out.
I saw these guys in the late 80's. Fantastic and of course we girls called them "hunks" wow so much has changed ty Alabama for the great memories
Glad to see they are still touring!! I saw them several times here in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980s. Best band ever!!!
Who's here in 2020? Love you Alabama! You are true country music..not like todays music.
If this one doesn’t bring back memories..wow .. it’s simply the best thing ever
70's,80's 90's is what I grew up on this new shit ain't got no heart.
2021 !!!

Here February 21
This song is a good reminder of your very first Love.
You don't forget your first love, whether it's by :
Nature
You met in kindergarten
Married
Divorced
Abandonment
Moved away
Death
Or something else
You don't forget your first Love.
Amen, mine was in high school in a small town. She never wanted to leave that small town, but I wanted to see the world. We went our separate ways and I got my wish, and she got hers. Now, 35 years later, I wish I would have married that girl and stayed in that small town. I searched the world over and never found a girl as pretty and sweet as her.
Absolutely 💘 "old flame" by Alabama reminds me driving on the 99 hwy from up North to LA 1994 !
Than any spark I might have started in your eyes
Been listening to Alabama's music since the 80s. It really takes me back. The vocals and harmonies were always so on point, no cringey "out of tune" moments. Back in the days when talent was required. The best!
Reminds me of when I was 18 and life was good...
Doesn’t get much better than this! Jeff Cook and that double neck guitar is Pure Country Gold!
Rest in peace!
My band opened for Alabama about the time this song came out. What a night we had. The guys were so nice to us and let us use all of their equipment at the gig. I got them all to autograph my guitar and I still have the guitar.
I remember throwing quarters in a bucket at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach, SC!
Damn he was sexy! Loved Alabama as a teen in the 80's and still love listening to them... Takes me back. 💙
Yeah me too...i was 13 when this album came out. Love it, always will
I have always wanted to see them in person my favorite group
As I listen to all of these OLDIES that was the best times of my life‼️⚘
i find it impossible to listen to this only once.
Truth be trolled I’m with ya
No one can!
Alabama is the greatest next to Waylon and his outlaws
I have been blessed to have the chance to see these guys in concert 3 times!!!
They have a wonderful show and you were never were disappointed
❤. I Love You Randy Owen ❤
My very first concert! Cleveland…1983…can’t wait to see you again!
They were the best group in Country Music. Love hearing these songs again.
I do too
They still are
This is the country I grew up on. Real country. 2024❤
True Country.
Alabama ♥️Alabama
I grew up listening to Alabama thanks to my dad, a big fan of the group and my mom, who has and has had a huge crush on Randy Owens since the 80s. I'm not sure if I heard more Alabama songs or more of my mom going on about Randy, but I enjoy listening to both for whatever reason lol
I'm 73 and that song reminds me of the first time I got my heart broken. I remember her like it was yesterday
Her name is Kay Glass. What a gal
Just a band that played in Myrtle Beach until they discovered 3 part harmony. That was genius and rocketed them to fame and success and they became one of the most popular groups in history.
They were known as Wild Country before they became Alabama.I remember when they used to play The Bowery in Myrtle Beach but I also remember when they played Chief's Lounge in Greenville SC..many years ago....
Reminds me of a lost love 30 yrs ago still love him wish he would come back
I lost my love 30 years ago. I moved on as life would have it. I have been married 25 years and we have 3 wonderful children. I love my husband but iften times my heart aches for my old flame. It's not right or fair to him or us but what does one do when the heart doesn't ever really let go? My flame never went out and if ever we ran to each other, no doubt my eyes would give me away without even trying. 😭 I would hurt either way. Pride...a root of evil. We let go of people we love over pride and then long for them.
Same here i think of him every minute
Fort Payne has got to be proud of these musicians.
Mac McAnally is one of the greatest songwriters around! This song is just an example of his work. Many of his songs were recorded by Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Sawyer Brown and others. He has recorded many albums and was 10 times CMA musician of the year. He's an amazing talent!
❤. Rest in Peace 🕊️🕊️ Jeff❤
This band is one of the greatest live acts on the planet ! They are perfect !
this was my late mother's favorite song & it makes me cry every time i hear it because i think about my mother
this is for you mom!!!
So sorry for your mom
JohnH20111 my boyfriend's mother died 15 years ago on this date September 3rd. 😢😢 she was a remarkable woman. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊🕊🕊🕊
I'm crying too.
John, same. My late mom loved Alabama. She wanted to marry Randy, lol. These old Alabama songs bring me so much nostalgia and I cry every time I hear them. It's like a connection I'll always have with my mom through this music.
@@tiffanietx1 Lol. So did my mom! she was like I am Mrs. Owen to you! LMAO! I will always love Alabama and will make me think of my mom daily when I hear them. I miss her.

When your 17 and this is what you listen too. Kids today are missing out!
this kind of country music ages like a classic car the older it is the more people want it ! these older songs are diamonds this shows real country music and the younger generation hear these older song most of them are like wow where has this been hiding and your grandma and grandpa was listening to it before it was cool these guys like Alabama , Hank jr., Merle Haggard , the list goes on remain popular because no matter who comes along no one will replace them or be any better they are the staple of country music
A Great bunch of Pure Alabama Gold ! ROLL on ALABAMA!

Best group in country music they broke the mold and ás George Jones said Whos gonna fill there shoes
Nobody can....ONLY 1 ALABAMA !!!
I've loved Alabama as long as I can remember and when I hear their songs, I still feel a stirring inside.
Saw these guys in concert at the Ohio State Fair in 1984 I was 4 years old and jammed then. Been Rocking them since the 80s and I'm 43 now. Where has the times gone
The first of a few number one hits either written or sung by the great Mac Macanally.
Also, this is the third of 44 number one hits Alabama notched between 1980 and 2011.
They really tore it up in the 80’s and should still be in my opinion! I quit watching the CMA awards about 10 years ago!
I love this song from my favorite band how are you Connie ?
I cry when I hear this one -- I live it every day -- the pain is deep and real
This is such a classic!
The harmony is heavenly
it made them superstars when they discovered 3 part harmony
Real music from the heart.
I get this weird warm feeling when I hear this. So many memories. This song was in the background....
@randyowen. I have seen you in concert so many times. Some if my best memories. Solid gold talent.
@randyowen. Everytime your music comes on I tell my friends...I shook hands with him at the Circle Star Theatre in San Mateo CA. You were wearing a snakeskin vest. You responding is surreal. What a treat.
@randyowen. Juke box, Dancing Shagging, Old Flame (gets me right behind the knees) Love in the first degree. One song can't remember the name but it's probably about your wife. The song is about sticking together thru thick and thin. I apologize I forget the name. Love all your work Superstar!
God fearing, down to Earth gentlemen. Chose to have any place to live, but stayed in Bama. Thank you and Bless.
Real Country Music !!! 😊😊😊

My very favorite music group of all time .Love you Alabama 💙💙💙
Hello, how are you doing today
2021.. I loved watching Mama and Daddy Dance to this song.. Missing y'all
OH THE MEMORIES
My favorite song by Alabama (from the 80’s)
When the shoe fits, those ole memories hurts. Maybe not a great song for me.
Pure country
One of the GREATEST singers in country music. Brad Paisley don't hold hold a candle to them.
it's amazing that the dude who is the lead singer is also playing guitar. i heard this is VERY hard to do simultaneously. There's not too many lead men who can do this.
Who's here in 2021? Love you Alabama, your songs will continue to roam in my heart forever ❤❤❤
One of the first songs I heard when I started listening to country in 1981 and been listening and loving it ever since!
Pure country that gets you through the day! I miss those days of the late 70's and early 80's!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorites by ALABAMA
A great song that I’ve loved for 40 years…
If you are truly a country lover you got the love alabama
I had forgotten all about this song. Then one day it popped up on the player and Ill be damned. I remembered every word.
MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ALABAMA. 🎶🎶
Fell in love with Alabama's music when I was a teenager. Had the biggest crush on Randy Owen. I still think they're the best. I have all their songs on casette and CD.
Me and my girlfriends would watch Alabama perform at concerts when they were in our area. Then when it was over we would stand in line to get there autographs. It was worth the long wait. They were so loyal to their fans. Randy would give me a hug and say something cute. One time he made a remark that I was back to beat him up! They always seem to remember us.......
..
Love this song and Alabama!
This is the music that I danced to in the 1970's & 80's in the Honky Tonks. Great music! Thanks Randy & Alabama for all your great hits.
I came back here again to listen to this hit song! What a great group of singers and Randy Owens is one fabulous entertainer. The memories are always in my heart! Phenomenal harmonies!
