My heart belongs to the animal kingdom. It’s the relationship like no other. My pets make me happy. The peace that comes with a childfree like is the best!!❤
I'm STILL waiting to encounter a parent who is happy. At the grocery store, at the park🎠🛝, at the mall, at theaters, at social gatherings🎪, at schools🏫, at the airport🛫, at my place of employment🏨, all I see and hear is sheer misery. I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but out in public, observing and listening to parents tells me all I need to know.
Luckily for children, we know plenty of good and happy parents! I know what you mean though, there is often a sign of struggle when we see kids out with their parents.
I know my Judo/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor is pretty content with his kids but that is due to him and his kids being involved in Judo/BJJ local competitions. Some parents can make it work but not all of them do unfortunately. I am Indigenous so there is a lot of teen pregnancy's and single mothers with abusive/absent fathers where I live. Made my decision to be childfree solidified with time and seeing my classmates reliving the high school days on social media.
@classygentlemangaming8400 OK and? I am happy and so are many other childfree people. My point was that when I encounter parents, they do not make parenthood look enjoyable at all. They always look tired, angry, frustrated, and annoyed. During COVID, I had never seen so many angry parents. They actually had to spend time in the same space as their children on a daily basis, and they didn't like that.
Real talk, showing the meta-verse absolutley could get me to join. I am very into gaming. People want to feel connections with others based on more than just being childfree. Having common interests is one of them. Hilarious story. Hope that you can beat the boss without losing any more TVs.
Parents are making a massive sacrifice it’s ok to acknowledge that and not feel under so much pressure to proclaim they are happy. Happy is an emotion that’s nice to have but overvalued. Satisfaction with life choices is maybe more appropriate to talk about than happiness per se. Parents will be satisfied that they are living the lifestyle they chose and the child free are equally satisfied that they are doing what they want with their lives. That balances it out. The childfree will naturally be happier on a day to day basis because they’re not trying to meet their children’s needs on top of their employers’, wider society, etc. and combat the problems that having extra responsibility brings. Think about the reaction you get from parents when they talk about getting time off from caring for their kids and contrast that with the reaction you get often from childfree people when you talk to them about babysitting or spending lots of time with kids generally. It’s fine for kids to be hard work and not make you happy. That’s just the human condition.
it beggers belief when women say only their kids make them happy, I suppose the feel they have to say that otherwise they would be seen as bad parents.
I'm a father and my son is the best thing that has ever happened to me, yes it's tough at times but nothing has given my life more meaning than he has.
haha Mars v venus, yes we women would be more aware that electronics are near us. i remember I live on a farm and we have houses round our driveway, and we have contractors, horse boxes, horses using that driveway, and we have fields near by of course. a bunch of neighbours male, decided to play football in the driveway, i told them to play in the fields and the men said 'oh we will pay for your windows if they break'. there was no awareness that they were just being a nuisance to everyone and risking our windows being broken. they don't think or care.
i don't play video games as many seem to be obsessesd with violence and killing and sometimes they take it out on the real world. the only games i play are anti stress app cames and sudoku. don't understaand why violence and killing is so gratifying and makes people happy

The answer is no. Most people are miserable, with or without children
You are so lovely and eeal so funny
Thank you!
15 min in and you guys hasn’t got to the topic?! Pass
Hope you do a podcast on the nonsense statement...
You don't know true love until you have a baby
Ugh, such an ignorant statement. I know it well!
So true love can’t be found in family, friends, community, YOURSELF, passions, careers, hobbies? Hmm 🧐
