I like the occasional voiceover. You pull back from the detail and give us an overview of the construction and the larger topics such as the overall design, thinking, philosophy. These topics matter. The regular style building videos are also great. The variety works.
I just turned 60 yr. Old in July. I have been in Constuction all of my life. Framing is also my favorite part of the build process. Trust me when I say you will get slower by the year. Seeing your channel makes me miss the days when I could work 10 to 12 hours a day no problem. We never had the luxury of the equipment you have but seeing you 2 do the work of a normal framing crew makes me wish i did invest years ago. I have a crew of 4 and I am the oldest but the youngest is 58 so I know the day is coming when I have to give up to the younger ones but for now, I am still the one on the roof. I appreciate your love for what you do and the attention to detail. Keep up the good work. You are a dying breed my friend.
Greg is blessed to have a boss like you. You are a well matched team. Fun to watch a couple real craftsman do their thing. I keep dreaming you guys are building my future shop someday.
As a general contractor of 18 years, I still learn something from almost every post you put up. Super detailed, super efficient, super caring. No short cuts. Just honest work. If you ever take on interns, you it me up. And also a pretty good family man from what I see. Keep it up brother!
Voiceovers so much better than music. When you do commentary we get so much “behind the scenes” information that helps us understand the details we want.
I think the most satisfying thing of your job is that you can drive around in your area in 20 or 30 years from now, seeing all the buildings you done with your hands still standing. Not like in other jobs where you work like a mule and the other day it looks like you never where there getting things done. Thx a lot for showing, nice thing with the voice over... 👍👍👍
I build pole barns in Michigan. It’s so interesting to see how people build different. Love the content! I’m young, I’m only 28 and I’ve only been doing this since 2018 when I got out of the military. So I’m happy I found this page to learn different tips and tricks 🤘🏼
Uh-oh, you called it a pole barn! Kyle wigs out over these being called pole barns as it is post frame construction. Undeniably there is a difference but it's as annoying an an 11 year old telling you a motor is not an engine. It's cool you can build up there and Kyle is a good model if thats the case as he lives in a state where anybody can just start working as a builder! In other states that requires experience and state and county licensing and not just confidence.
I like it!! WOW!! 4 Days!! Kyle, I understand that 30 year old to 40 years old comment!! I'm knocking on 70 and have noticed that I can't go for the long days anymore!! Stay safe!! Thanks for posting!!
You guys rock. I've been paying attention to your channel for a minute now and seeing how you have grown your company and incorporated machinery into your builds. Your efficient, smart and fast. Having been in the construction trade all my life your love of your work shows in your end product. You definitely have your heads screwed on straight, no pun intended. Again great job, guys.
Love it when you guys do a build from the beginning like this series...it never gets old. So, even though you've done it before, please keep on. I also like this narration for a change, but I do enjoy the ad lib conversations you guys have.
Swinging a hammer and getting that perfect strike on the nail that drives it in an inch at a time is the industrial athlete version of hitting a homerun ball.
Voiceover and explanation of the design as well as process were super helpful! Wish there were contractors around here who built post frames on a perimeter foundation instead of just pole barns. Never ceases to amaze me how the combination of expertise and equipment can allow two people to do so much in a couple of days!
One of the things I’ve learned as a construction manager and something I definitely see in your work: if you’re focused on working as smart as possible while also focusing on excellent craftsmanship, you’ll inevitably be working more safely as well because you won’t be exposing yourself to unnecessary risks and you’ll always be thinking ahead.
I like the voice over. it keeps you from stopping work to talk to us, I don't do that kind of work but great job any way, Kyle and Greg. We call you, Mr. perfection. that's a compliment, by the way.
67 yr. Old in Aug . Been doing Construction a large part of my life. Framing is my favorite part also! I don't get things done as fast as I did 20 yrs ago! Also I have to use more lifts now wish I had them years ago.
You've made so many videos that I don't feel short in a voice-over, in fact I think it adds to the catalog as I can watch this for a quick all-around introduction of the topic and later go to watch others for more in detail explanation. As always, thanks for sharing.
I liked the voice over. The drone footage was excellent and I liked the “ghost” time lapse too. Production values are getting better all the time and it makes your presentation 1st rate. Great job guys 👍
Dude, I'm 52 and building my own house. 9ft and 12ft walls solo is a killer. I wish I had that skidsteer and boom setup! Love your videos. Keep it up!!
There's nothing better than having the tools and equipment to make the job less stressful on the worker. When they reach the age of 45 or so, they will be much better off ! Overhangs should be a code requirement ! I have seen many residential developments with NO overhangs at all and stare at them wondering what the true idea in that is/was. Likely in material cost but in the long run, weather and sun kills that idea as being anything close to legitimate. Truly love the idea of scrap wood to support butt joints ! Plumb and square is always king...makes for more precise assembly and the building itself equally stabile.
I always enjoy your videos and I base alot of tool buying decisions off of what you use building post frame buildings. You attention to detail on the metal trim is one of my favorite things to watch.
Like the voiceover. My older boss said with the construction technology a piece of equipment is cheaper than having to pay another employee and having to worry about a worker comp.
Hi Kyle, I've been watching and learning from you for a couple years now. Your methods have given me the confidence to build my own post frame. I'm no carpenter, and at 61 it won't be easy. But, you do such a great job at sharing what it really takes to get it done. I've been slowly preparing and I'm ready now, thank you Kyle. Respect. 👍
I like both styles, slow and detailed and the speed run overview. Always impresses me how just the two of you get so much done quickly, efficiently, and properly. Good planning and good teamwork. Thanks for sharing!
I'd venture to say that any additional time spent in this phase, compared to 10+ years ago, is well made up for in even better quality. I've been super impressed ever since a video a while back had you chasing an eighth of an inch over something like a 40 foot run. Quality takes time, and you've found ways to make that as efficient as possible without losing the quality.
You two are simply amazing. Do either of you know what a blessing it is to work with one another the way you do?? I hope to see another thousand or more of these
This type of video shows how well you two work together and communicate. Don't think two people not in sync like you guys are would be able to get a building done like that in 4 days.
Good for you Kyle, for being sure to treat people like people. I have found that some of my employers think that if they're paying me they don't have to care about anything else.
Wow, that is a huge structure and it’s amazing is a couple of lifts in a forklift that’s a lot of volume for two people in four days. Also, I paid attention to the 1.51 million subscribers very impressed.
⚾️ Grand Slam as usual. Love this type of content with the voice over from time to time. But also learn so much with the full explanation videos as well.
I liked the voiceover! Works very well for this sort of video, for videos where you're demonstrating/showing details it works better without voiceover. Keep it up!
Also, the quality of your video, sound, editing, is always top notch. Well done to all who are involved. I was a Media Arts and Design major (Video Motion Graphics) and i know its not easy.
I like the change and the voice over, but I think I prefer the speaking in the video itself. Much better quality and you can tell you care. I'm sure it's more time consuming, but I think it's worth it for the viewer. I love watching you and Greg put up these buildings. Such high quality craftsmanship. I want a building like the ones you build one day and I hope I have a builder then that cares as much as you and Greg do.
Your building process is absolutely Top Notch. You are able to get a remarkable amount of work done in a day..Kudos to you guys for your professionalism..
My buddy n i built these for years in early 2000s with nothing but had tools for years. My favorite job ive ever had. I built these, roofed 15 yrs, sided, plastering, windows framing .. now im 46 n hurt everydayday. I had to resort to outdoors forklift which beat up my back more. Now i do quality inspection on a stainless semi tanker building company. Easier job but i suffer from my beat up construction body daily
Just found your channel. Gathering info for a future build. I really like the voice over. You as a commentator are able to add much more detail than if you were trying to work and then trying to talk to a camera. And it has to be much safer.
LOL " 30 year old versus 40 year old" I just turned 44 this year and man I know what you're talkin about lol. Love this build by the way! I'm in the process of doing a 48 by 56 Shop with a mezzanine almost the same layout except Mini can't wait to see what it looks like!
I loved the time-lapse with voice over but honestly prefer the normal videos as you explain while you are in the process. Either way I'd watch for the great content.
25 Years deep in framing. Lately been doing alot of pole barns. Ours tend to be post embedded with steel trusses. Only real difference I see is we have to have "L" bracing on our wall purlins. Sometimes every one, Sometimes every other one. This style makes it easier to plumb up the walls as the posts will move to desired location.
I like the voice over. Your videos always make me wish I had gone into construction instead of dirt work and bus driving(Although I do love driving school bus). :P
I like the voice over video format, because there is no background noise. And, I would imagine it's better for your work flow, as you're not having to narrate while working.
Enjoyed voice over, narration format. Also enjoyed watching videos in the format you have used for years. So mix them a bit. Keep it interesting and we will watch no matter what format you use.
The boom attachment with hydraulic extension for your skid steer is worth it's weight in gold no crane needed assembly wall on ground no heavy lifting only 2 men WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE. Ray Stormont
Yeah great voice over I liked it and I've always thought you and Greg are very efficient I don't think there is another two guy crew that gets as much done as y'all do and your right using equipment I can't imagine the time climbing ladders all day on these buildings no way as I've said before I've never have done anything on a post frame only conventional framing but I would do a post frame now instead of conventional it just makes sense
Great vlog format! This is one step closer to you putting out an infomercial series people can buy your how-to product. lol I love watching your version of how to build things. Your content totally fills in my Sunday need to watch Stuff like this. I wonder who else also used their Sunday’s in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2K’s to watch: NHRA, Car/Truck Mechanic Shows, This Old House, KungFu, etc.

YES!! I love the new style... the time lapse with the narration over top. Excellent!!

What part of MI?
You build pole barns- but R.R builds post frame buildings
Yeah, where do you live in Michigan.?
Who do you build for and where at in Michigan?

Kyle is a class act and his manner of speaking and thinking says it all. You must have wonderful people in your life. Great job, guys.

With this build I have my wife watching now.

Like the voiceover. My older boss said with the construction technology a piece of equipment is cheaper than having to pay another employee and having to worry about a worker comp.
I really like the quality you have put into your projects the extra mile is usually the shortest distance in most cases. Good Job !
The men who build and maintain civilizations!👍😎
Hi Kyle, I've been watching and learning from you for a couple years now. Your methods have given me the confidence to build my own post frame. I'm no carpenter, and at 61 it won't be easy. But, you do such a great job at sharing what it really takes to get it done. I've been slowly preparing and I'm ready now, thank you Kyle. Respect. 👍

GRK without a doubt! RR Builders integrating quality within every aspect of the construction process!! Build on!
the voice-over was nice. your comments and interactions with others is also entertaining. I vote to mix it up!
I’m in the snow zone, and to me, it’s crazy to see roof trusses on 8’ centres. They are beefy trusses, though. Great, efficient work. Great job.
You two are simply amazing. Do either of you know what a blessing it is to work with one another the way you do?? I hope to see another thousand or more of these

Love watching your build series. I miss this type of work. Keep on being much better than average. Setting the bar higher for all.
Like the voice over. Gives you a chance to step back and describe the process. Thanks Kyle.
Wow, that is a huge structure and it’s amazing is a couple of lifts in a forklift that’s a lot of volume for two people in four days. Also, I paid attention to the 1.51 million subscribers very impressed.
This is the most interesting video that I have seen on UA-cam for a long time. Thank you for educating us and sharing your knowledge.
Enjoy voice-over explaining how and why your building is best
Planning and the right equipment for the job is a recipe for success.
Well done again I like both the voice over with the day count as well as the narrated longer style love the drone footage of the site
⚾️ Grand Slam as usual. Love this type of content with the voice over from time to time. But also learn so much with the full explanation videos as well.
Good stuff Kyle, voice over is a good thing and thank you for doing these vids. I truly enjoy watching.
I liked the voiceover! Works very well for this sort of video, for videos where you're demonstrating/showing details it works better without voiceover. Keep it up!
The narration works pretty good for a time lapse video like this. Al always love the content!

I liked the voice over style of this video. Best part is you have all your audio levels dialed in perfectly. Great work for a 40 year old 😂
Your building process is absolutely Top Notch. You are able to get a remarkable amount of work done in a day..Kudos to you guys for your professionalism..
Maybe my favorite style of video you've done. Kinda like a Larry Hahn voice over style , but on post frame ! Nice !
My buddy n i built these for years in early 2000s with nothing but had tools for years. My favorite job ive ever had. Savage opening shot with the drone. 👍
Great video with narrative giving essential details . Succinct and informative. Thanks for the presentation. Will continue to follow this channel!
You and Greg do a awesome job love watching, you exclaim it like a instructor
The box knock over with the garage door post was on point😂
Love the voiceover. More information is always good in my book. Great video, great work and a great channel.
Again, another great video! Kyle, you’re a pioneer of the post frame industry sir. Great work.
Crazy amount of work for 2 guys nice job!
Great focus on detail. I like the voiceover, allows you to comment after watching yourself…
U guys work so fast and efficient
Im convinced that if you weren’t a builder you would have been a Chef. What you do to get everything ready to build is called mise en place. IYKYK.
That was soo cool to watch, the thought process to tackle such a project is amazing. Always a pleasure watching y'all work...
I love the voice over. Great work guys
Pure entertainment. Love it. Awesome work and even better video and production and commentary.
Just found your channel. Gathering info for a future build. I really like the voice over. You as a commentator are able to add much more detail than if you were trying to work and then trying to talk to a camera. And it has to be much safer.

Awesome work. Definitely learned a thing or 2 from these guys. My record for framing up a 50x80x16 by myself is 42 hrs split between 5 days.
Awesome work guys, love to see any build from beginning to end. You guys do amazing work, keep it going.
I loved the time-lapse with voice over but honestly prefer the normal videos as you explain while you are in the process. Either way I'd watch for the great content.
The video is perfect. I like the voice over edited summary.
Thanks for the video Kyle. Always thumbs up. 😁👍🏼
Very nice Kyle, you guys are true craftsman!!

You too, Greg.
Enjoy your Casey's
That is some quality work! You guys are top notch
Great job as always
I really liked the voice over ( inserts thumbs up icon)
Amazing
I enjoyed this format, more visual information in a shorter amount of time. I watch all your videos. You are a wealth of information.
I like the voice over. Your videos always make me wish I had gone into construction instead of dirt work and bus driving(Although I do love driving school bus). :P
I loved this format!
Really enjoyed the voice over! Great job!
Great job as always guys. 👍👍🏴🏴
Absolutely love these kind of videos, great work!!
Format; really good Kyle.. Nice for a change.
I like the voice over video format, because there is no background noise.
And, I would imagine it's better for your work flow, as you're not having to narrate while working.
Impressive as always. Well organized, well done.
I enjoyed the voice over. Great video!
I really like the voice over high speed film format. Keep it up or at least do it more often....Greetings from Texas...John B.
Enjoyed voice over, narration format. Also enjoyed watching videos in the format you have used for years. So mix them a bit. Keep it interesting and we will watch no matter what format you use.

I really like the voice over, as I feel you can explain more in detail.
Bruce Brandeberry
Love the voice over!
Always amazes me how it only takes 2 of you to build these buildings!
Definitely like this format. I’m old AF but I always like to learn. I’m surprised that you guys don’t wear sun hats with big brims. I do. 💥
Great vlog format! This is one step closer to you putting out an infomercial series people can buy your how-to product. lol
I love watching your version of how to build things. Your content totally fills in my Sunday need to watch Stuff like this.
I wonder who else also used their Sunday’s in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2K’s to watch: NHRA, Car/Truck Mechanic Shows, This Old House, KungFu, etc.
