The problem with your guide is that is meant for roles such as Sapper or Pioneer or AT and Marksman. You are not going to be Squad Leading with this mindset. You only take roles that let you get away with not playing as a squad. If your SL sees you hundred of meters away from the rest of the squad he can figure you are searching for stuff to blow up, or snipe people. If you are the medic or the radioman you need to stay with SL, there's no getting away with it, otherwise you might get kicked out. So I guess you very rarely play as Squad Lead, you must be one of those waiting for someone to create a squad and click straight away to take your preferred role. Nevertheless, the tips you gave about flanking and situational awareness are on point.
I just bought the game and I love it ! I come from the Battlefield franchise and I use the same tactics.Using sound it my advantage to cover my movement or shots,I use nades to distract enemies and I always flank from a position that im lest expected to pop out from. And today I used a tree to cover myself and shoot enemies and I got about 10 players without them actually knowing wtf is going on and I died because I got too confident I can take on a sherman tank (i still dont know how tanks work) and he got me too fast.So im subscribing,I want to more about maps and positions, fortunately its easy for me to recognize who is enemy and who is friendly, i have vast knowledge of ww2 uniforms.

7:40 "In the same bush as me" I once did a little bushdance with an enemy. I was looking at the guy, realizing I*m out of ammo, he shot and missed, i ran into a bush, he ran past the bush, I stood up lookin for him but he wasn't there I went left back into and on the otherside of the bush, heard him doing the same I just did, went forward right in a circle motion hearing him doing the same, finally came out on top as he didn't do the same the third time but was aiming at where I was a few seconds ago and killed him with a clean headshot. It was so awesome. That was when I was playing active and the same round I achieved 34 kills in 6 death as medic on... Oosteerbeek? I don't remember
Hm, Seems to me from what I've seen in the gameplays that there are preciously few players with a real 'Infantry mind-set' and you are promoting to acquire just that: The real Infantry mind-set. Aside from the technical settings, etc. Do your homework (map-study) and be tactical instead of mindless Berserker. The team/squad is more so a weapon to lead to success than the sum of all the indivudual weapons combined. Real infantry warfare has no respawns and common battle injuries do not remotely heal instantantly with a simple administring of morphine. In real battle, the life you have is the only one, so a real infantryman will most of the time err on the side of caution so as not to lose it. Besides that, the added dimension of intelligent, cautious and meticulous gameplay will certainly make for a much more satisfactory immersive experience than the too often displayed kill-hungry stupidity.
How i play: determine the locatoion of enemy, do a moderate flank, get some kills, move to a position overlooking your previous position, enemies come to search, kill more. Rince repeat until u make a mistake or get outmanouvered Edit: yes its a team game and i do stay with my squad and follow orders. I do this when i play at or pioneer, sometimes radio aswell since i have confidence in myself and generally i dont dissapoint my sl and am always there when they need me.
I too love to break away from the easy kill mantra, but always find it utterly infuriating when given the SL role or start as SL there's always a large group of individuals who can't process the blatant information that a team isn't going to be coming from 1 single direction. Which usually ends in them having to find a new squad or just constantly complaining. Something I don't see alot in squad. This is a very good guide and only wish the majority of the player base would watch and take note from.
So my biggest mistakes are: - I get greedy and run towards the fist shot heard - My spotting is very often garbage - Sometimes I get lazy moving from cover to cover, (as it's not inbedded into my mind) and stupidly run over a field to get quickly into the action. Solution: - Lay back when I get greedy and get back later - Play more FFA - Play more quick-action casual games instead of post scriptum
Every time I try to flank or use some thinking to circumvent the obvious direct onslaught I got an angry SL telling me “hey what are you doing down there, rush to the objective” every time the same story, SL pushing people to rush on a straight line to get killed, it’s counterproductive. Great video by the way, i try to do the same things as I like to act like i would IRL, but 9/10 theory goes down the drain and SL try to storm the objectives BF like.
This is exactly what i do! Being a lone wolf in this games. I always try to grab Pioner and I just ambush the shit out of enemy from sides and behind, destroying all their pushes actualy on my own.

Sorry but I disagree with turning down settings. Ultra Low Quality players hurt any competitive game because it’s practically cheating by exploiting lower graphics. The fact that you would promote this is why I disliked your video. Though the rest of the content is awesome.
The ballistics in this game are not realistic. The trajectory is way too curved. If you shoot with a rifle zeroed at 100m at someone at 200m, you'd have to adjust a lot more than you would do irl. This makes long range shots more difficult than they are irl, which negates the only advantage of rifles, especially the slowest rifle K98 as that requires you to take your eye off the sights to bolt.
Yeah, if anything the zeroing is too easy, the setting which requires a manual bolt is your best friend, for long ranges I shoot and watch for my bullet to land before cycling the bolt, adjusting as needed, I land moving shots in 200-300m range plenty with this method, and the amount of lead needed and approximate distance of targets becomes second nature at some point, it really becomes quite easy when most people run in a straight line at one speed to their destination.
Just got this game on steam. I played two games. It’s pretty much dead almost nobody playing, there was only 4 servers with people playing. Nobody would help teach anything. Some people even went as far to get mad even after I told them it was my first game. I requested a refund after my second game. I would not recommend this game to anyone! It will never be as good as Squad.
