Noooo the ultra low latency mode in control panel is different, they have a new mode called Max FPS that caps your frame rate to your monitors refresh to reduce latency, probably the one you’re talking about

Dang man. That thing is kind of to be expected with a 1st gen model of any piece of tech. I am looking at getting the Omen X but almost nowhere online has them in stock. I may just shell out the extra cash for the ultrawide Alienware panel.

It's almost pointless cause you can't judge picture quality of a monitor while viewing it through your own screen. You are basically just seeing what your monitor can output as far as colors.
The 600 € Gaming Monitor does not have a dark spot feature. Which is present in all competitors. This is the only thing that stops me from buying this model.

I would buy an NVIDIA card if you want something better than a 5700 XT like a 2080 Super but it’s all preference. Either 2070 Super or 5700/5700 XT. And it does support g sync compatibility as I showed in the video
Prob the best esports monitor rn, they all say 1ms response time buts its just false marketing. This one is actually faster than all of zowies xl monitors
Make sure in Nvidia control panel and windows display settings you have it checked to 240hz. Check your DisplayPort cable too, and make sure you don’t have VSync on in game
@@TooMuchTech i did it but, still same problem, just activate on your monitor to show you it frame rate, and you will see that when you put any game on full screen the monitor change to 144hz

Alienware is cheaper and has an ips panel which is going to give a lot better colour accuracy whilst the omen has a tn panel which still has good colours but not as good. I would recommend the omen if you have a second monitor that’s ips so that you can use that one for things other than gaming and also if you have a very good pc with a rtx 2080ti. But if you’re going for a single monitor setup go for the Alienware as you can use it for gaming, browsing the web and even editing
How much bad is Omen X 27 to Samsung G7? I ordered Omen X and I had G7 and returned it. Backlight bleeding and flicker. Also really hot monitor if long time sitting close

Yeah I feel that but to fix that you can do a couple of things, Mount your monitor and increase the distance you sit away from it. Maybe buy a bigger, deeper desk. Sounds expensive but it’s really the only way and the best way.... unless you wallmount it
Bro I love your videos and reviews but bro you have the highest end monitors but Astro a50’s, people often overlook audio and I’m not even an audio file or anything but audio can really really help you immersion in many games and your performance in FPS games, I highely recommend the sennheiser hd6xx or the hd58x and there less than 250 bucks and if you want the best headset get the dt990 pro’s because there amazing but they cost 700, so more audiophile level.
I prob will at some point, but I do like A50’s because they’re wireless. Tbh I still use my A40 TR’s more for sure 2020 is the audiophile year of Too Much Tech, I’m going to be investing in some new headphones to replace the Astros I’ve been using for the past 4 years lol

Just got this monitor, my PC is a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 4070, 32gb RAM @ 5600MHz - Anytime i switch to anything above 144hz, the screen gets cut in half and I can only see the left half of the screen? Hey got the HP Omen X27 monitor and was setting up my settings but for some reason my refresh rate only has 60hz, 120hz, 144hz. There's no 240hz option do you have any idea why?
Make sure you update your Nvidia drivers, and using display port and not HDMI, and you can always go into Nvidia control panel to change the refresh rate as well

It will essentially cut it down at times. I forget how it exactly works I think it limits your fps cap by which your gpu can always sustain

Apparently the G7 had a firmware update that fixed that issue.

ultra low latency mode does only work correctly, if your gpu is maxed out 99,9% , if the usage is around 50-70% or so, it doesn’t bring anything

Only use low latency modes when your GPU usage is very high (97-100%), otherwise it increases input lag.
