Hi, great video man. The Lenovo Legion Y27gq-20 can be purchased for as low as £447.99 in the UK and with the Harmon Kardon speaker, so this is by far the better deal right? I keep reading complaints about the AG coating being too aggressive on this panel, is that true? Did it bother you at all?
I was gonna buy this but I already have a 1440p 27" 165hz screen and I wanted a 240hz smaller 24" screen for esport games so I bought the Aorus KD25F... I'm very happy with it! 27" is a little too big for Overwatch and Quake

I have this monitor. My honest review is there is only little difference between 144hz to 240hz.

Good video bro. Believe it or not I’ve been gaming on my C9 OLED on pc and its drop dead gorgeous in true HDR @ 1440p playing apex getting 120fps maxed out settings the oleds input lag is 6.8ms in 1440p which is the lowest ever recorded on a tv. so smooth coming from 30fps consoles lol

@@TooMuchTech yes its the c9 that has had the gsync update i have an amd card tho 5700. but trust me no tv or high end monitor comes close to the reproduction of colours and them black levels are unmatched. i get that people prefer smaller screens tho

I have the original hp omen 27 and Its so sexy and I think it's almost perfect, 1440p, 165hz, and 1Ms response time but the one major flaw is it doesn't have hdr. Now this one adds hdr, local dimming and it ups it to 240hz! Hell yes now it's perfect
The HDR is good! It’s impressive to play on even though I wouldn’t call it the best implementation, it’s better than not having it for sure
How do you turn on adaptive sync? My display mode always says normal even thought I have turn free sync on

Would you recommend going from a 165hz 1440p to this? Or would you think the difference in refresh rate would be negligible?
If you’re is IPS I dunno you might be indifferent to it because the color isn’t as good, but if you play a lot of competitive titles like over watch that are easy to run the I would say go for it for sure

How would this monitor stack up against the benq xl2546 for fast paced games?
I mean the Benq is a competitive monitor and this one is more of a luxury product so it just depends. Do you want a smaller and faster low resolution panel that’s easier to run or do you want something a little bit nicer with some bells and whistles?

Late to the party but I gotta ask, why this monitor? Don’t get me wrong it’s a great monitor but the price point point is questionable. Do keep in mind this is on a tn panel. No disrespect to tn panels cause I’m starting to be more of a tn guy myself, playing rhythm games I need as little ghosting as possible but this monitor is currently sitting at 1000usd. Thats crazy ngl. At that price I would shoot for an oled. Depending on the oled monitor you can get it for 100-200 dollars cheaper.

What about Lenovo Y27gq-25? It is 240hz, TN, 27¨, 1440p, G-syng, 0,5 ms, but no hdr.
Its has an annoying fan and it costs more. Get the x27 like I did.

I‘m so Happy withe the Monitor. I got it for 500€ from the official HP Site at Blackfriday. I use this Monitor as my Main Monitor and mainly for Gaming. It’s so buttery smooth :D ( If you have the right components ) But for this price and those Specs, there is none other option out there in my eyes. I mean 240hz 1ms and fucking 2560x1440 is just awesome. Gaming Looks way better than just full HD 😬 and don‘t forget it is Future Prof ✌🏻

For $650 it's cheap! This is a one of a kind monitor, zero competition. When there will be competition 650 is a bit much but were not there yet, so if they wanted to price it at 1k people would still buy it if they want the features.
Remember when 4k was a new thing? The monitors were SUPER expensive but as more and more manufacturers made 4k monitors the prices went down. This 1440p 240 is already under priced lol great deal imo

Too Much Tech I already have a 4K monitor that I use for production, but as far as gaming is concerned and simply digesting online content - 1440p has always been the sweet spot for me.

I haven’t played console in a while to be honest but just try all three out, you’ll see and feel which one is the most responsive. At 60 FPS I’m not sure if the fastest mode gives you ghosting or not, check it out

Really depends what you want, next year when the new consoles come out they’ll prob be about to do 120hz so I would get something with HDMI 2.0
I wish you could measure the monitor. There are plenty of "dimensions" online but frankly i dont find them to be accurate. There is no way this monitor is 21 inches high. I need to know this for my set up. If you see this message, could you please give me the actual dimensions of the screen?

how many games are you going to be able to play at 240fps @1440p? hitting those frames at 1440p i dont think is possible on most AAA games.
AAA games don’t even get to 240hz at 1080p, 240hz is for competitive and lightweight titles

You would do pretty good in competitive games getting 240 should be doable, just make sure you tune your settings

Um depends on the game. Fortnite, overwatch, Csgo, rainbow 6 or any other light title more than likely or pretty close. I’d say over 170 for sure. But I would definitely upgrade your ram to 3200Mhz, they have kits as low as like 70 bucks and you’ll see a huge performance increase

240hz is a little much for what's capable at 1440p. I play at 144hz 1440p and that seems like the perfect sweet spot.
it depends :X ive 400-600fps in csgo 500fps in fortnite 200-260fps in pubg and cod 240+fps in apex

Ryzen 5 2600 or 3600? Probably. I’m not sure tho I don’t really play warzone these much but I’m pretty sure you’d get decently high FPS

Ahh I see, the Ryzen 5 you’ll definitely get decent performance, later on in the year when the 3600 becomes dirt cheap I would upgrade for sure and you’ll see another notable performance increase. Look for deals around the holiday time!

SLI helps but probably not a ton, but a single 2080 ti will get you pretty close at high 170-200 FPS on lower settings

Ya the 27 inch Alienware is 1080p and 240hz, waiting for them to come out with 1440p tho because 1080p at 27 inches isn’t as nice but running it in game is easier

The 600 € Gaming Monitor does not have a dark spot feature. Which is present in all competitors. This is the only thing that stops me from buying this model.
