Just a quick correction to this, the Omen X 27 DOES support VESA mounting, there is a plate included in the box but it was hidden behind a foam panel
as soon as i saw the rear i was like DAMN IT
Do a review on the new 240hz 27inches alienware ips monitor
Nice, I avoid non-Vesa monitors by default. The generally last so long that it's a neat option to have even if you don't plan to use it right away.
While it does support VESA mounting, it is a major pain in the ass to get multiple of these lined up with a non gas-arm type monitor stand as the stand and mounting mechanism because the pivot stays on the monitor with the VESA mount and these monitors are HEAVY. everything about this monitor besides the panel is exactly the same as the HP Omen 27, which was a 1440P 165hz monitor with an older panel, so make sure you are buying the correct monitor!
guy is this monitor gsync compatible or not ? it is not listed on the gsync compatible nvidia list :X
I think you are missing the point. When i am playing competitively i am willing to turn all my settings down to low to get 240+ fps but when i play a AAA single player game it is nice to have 1440p.
This monitor is good for both scenarios really 'cause the color accuracy is pretty good. It'd be nice if it had good HDR too and maybe something similar to ULMB but then it'd probably be a lot more expensive.
I wonder if you could run the upcoming 3080ti in SLI with itself and hit 240hz-ready FPS numbers into AAA games...
@@ryanmcgrath7069 I recommend blower or Hybrid models for multi-GPU setups
Having 2 rtx titans or 2 rtx 2080s in sli and you can easily get over 144fps in any game on ultra with 1440p
thats the reason i just ordered this monitor.. its nice to have the diversability with one display. ive still got a 1440p 165hz acer predator as my second monitor, but will probably tilt that to portrait mode for social media
Thing is, you can lower your settings out of ultra and down to low or medium to get the most fps for when flashy graphics are not important and a lot of games today still look awesome at 1440p in lower settings.
Dude you dont need anti-alias when you play at 2K..More sharpness and less gpu power..
@@frattuncbas yes you do. Even at 4k. Btw, 2k = 1080p not 1440p.
I was gonna leave you like but its at a perfect 69 😉
@@filiphedman4392 ??? NO.
720p is Standard HD, 1080p is Full HD, 1440p is 2k and 2160p is 4k. The reason 1440p is called 2k is because of it's horizontal resolution (2560p), same goes for 4k which is 3840p horizontally.
my dears, it has freesync 2 and g-syng. So you're 120 Fps get syncronised . . . .
i play everything without it - not problem. Better that 120 fps on 165 Hz

I love the monitor reviews, they're really great with a lot of useful information. Could you please do a end of year monitor buying guide/best budget picks for 2019?
yes yes yes
I have this monitor now 4 weeks, it's a beast! Excellent monitor! And yes the vesa bracket is in the box, it's hidden in a different compartment . About the 240hz, you don't need displayport cable 1.4 if you dont need 10 bits color, I have cable 1.2, but pay attention how fast the cable is, at least 17 gbps. I have the displayport cable from Amazon, Cable direct, version 1.2, 17 gbps and it plays on 240hz flawlessly, but on 8 bit color. Under 240hz, like 165, 144, 120, etc, I get 10 bit color. So if you want 240hz AND 10 bit color, you need bigger bandwidt. On xbox: yes, it playes at 1440p at 120hz. In that case you need hdmi 2.0. Not every hdmi 2.0 is capable of that. Also here the bandwidt is the issue. I tryed many 2.0 wich did'nt worked. Some said, try 2.1 , that didn't worked either. I got black screens or flickering screens or was only able play 1440p 60hz or 1080p 120 hz. Finally I found the Ivanky hdmi 2.0 on Amazon, iVANKY High-Speed HDMI 2.0b, 18 Gbps, Mirror & Extend modus, Ultra HD 4K 2160p, HD 2K 1080p, QHD 1440p, HDCP 2.2, 48-bits diepe kleur, Audio Return (ARC), Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio en Hotplugging) and that cable works with: Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, at 1440p 120hz. Also no problems with AMD Freesync Premium Pro, it playes everything very smooth. Amazing monitor.
i use the dp cable from the box . . . 10bit 240hz can't be possible i guess
For QnA: Can you explain overdrive, overshoot/undershoot and those graphs as i don’t understand em?
Also what are these: Avg Rise, Avg fall, 0-255-0, best(what), worst(what), Avg dark level?
Making Plays I believe it goes like this
Undershoot is then the monitor doesn’t change the color of its pixels fast enough to accurately represent the next frame. This is why VA monitors get the worst “smearing”, and it makes sense. They have the highest contrast, which means that dark colors will take longer to switch to bright colors, since the darks can be like 3x darker.
Overdrive is a feature to try to counter this. The monitor somehow forces the pixels to change faster. It DOES help the undershoot problem, but it also brings another potential problem.
Overshoot is the opposite of undershoot, and usually happens when you turn the overdrive too far. When the pixels change color, they change too far than is really accurate. If the pixels needs to change from black to gray, they may initially run from black to light gray. They overshoot the brightness level. This effect is normally considered worse than undershoot or ghosting.
@@nicksosa8225 overdrive works by adding a higher voltage to make the pixel gates open and close faster thus lowering pixel response time. If the overdrive is high though, it can lead to those gates accidentally opening again when they're suppose to close and vice versa which leads to reverse smearing.
Thanks to both of you for explaining this. I had the same question as well.
Thanks for answers, i would still like to hear a few words from Tim and Steve, also they can put those graphs on screen again and explain them in QnA

Finally a review on the Omenx27. You should also try the Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25. It is also a 1440p 240hz panel! You’re the first big UA-camr to review this unit and I’m excited because I’m sure it will gain more coverage.
He mentioned that the Lenovo Monitor is its only competitor and at 50% price difference he can't really justify any reason to purchase it. For that reason I don't think he'll waste his time reviewing it.
Nuril Nuril Ah yea my apologies I commented at the beginning of the video and then he discussed it later on
@@raymonda6025 Who comments before watching through the video? I mean that doesn't any sense if you don't know what the video is going to cover and what not.
@@jaybee0507 It's not unusual for people to jump the gun and comment while the thoughts are fresh in their mind.
@@nurilnuril4372 It's not at 50% price difference in the UK. It's actually cheaper than the HP! Therefore it should be compared against it. I for one would like to know if the Lenovo has better colours, build quality, and whether G-Sync V2 is better than adaptive sync.
I love the look of hps omen products. They look so cool and I love the black and red theme
I think folks forget that one of the side benefits of high refresh rate monitors is going back to older games. You can easily hit extreme speeds with older titles, and usually on fairly mediocre hardware. These would also get you the closest to the feel of CRT monitors, with their high refresh rate and low input lag. Some food for thought.
Yup. I play a lot of Mount and Blade: Warband, and my last-gen midrange hardware can push upwards of 200 fps without problems.
Always looking for a little less input lag, so this monitor is definitely on my list.

Cool review! I've been using this monitor for past two weeks, it's Awesome💯
Have this monitor a blue light filter?
Black Blacky Yes it has that option!
Are you gonna benchmark AOC 24G2U? Seems like excellent choice for lower budget.
I looked it up to see what it is and what it does, that does not look like budget, but the price does. I am impressed. I got two AOC monitors already, both IPS, so I would think this one looks good as well.

good to know. 1 reason that i remove and may get this monitor.
Thanks man, but please confirm, as this was the only reason I wasn't going to buy it
Thanks this comment pushed me over the edge to buy.
Man, cant wait till IPS panels can have these specs
I was thinking the same same thing.
@Transistor Jump for competitive games. they can run at 240. you dont need 240hz to play tomb raider
@Transistor Jump He just explained it ... If you play R6, cs go, dota 2 , lol. this is a great monitor for that
@Transistor Jump Its a very niche product.
@Transistor Jump Some of us dont have that much time to play and have more than enough older games that they can run at >165Hz (which is the barrier, where 240Hz makes sense, because there is not really all that much in between for the required VRR headroom). Doom 2016 in 1080p on 1070 max quality can easily go over 165fps, for example.
As an owner of this monitor for the past month, I can confirm everything hardware unboxed is emphasizing here. Coming from an alienware 3418dw (120hz IPS), I feel this monitor has better colors due to the overall brightness difference - they are very punchy without being washed out. The only downside is the vertical viewing angle - the contrast shift is in-line with most TN monitors. I primarily use this for overwatch with a 5700xt and can max out frames at 300 on 1440p (low settings) - the difference between 120hz and 240hz is quite amazing. Also, HP offers a 3 year warranty (that you can buy separately) on this monitor for under $50 with next day shipping - this covers dead pixels as well.
Btw, you mentioned it doesn't have VESA mounting capabilities: It has, there should be a VESA mounting kit included that mounts into the rectangular slot for the normal stand. According to www8.hp.com/us/en/displays-accessories/gaming/omen-x-27.html: "VESA mounting
: Yes, mounting plate included"
For anyone watching this in 2023: The Monitor is now only 270$!!!!!!!! It is now the cheapest 1440p 240hz Monitor on the market and therefore an AMAZING deal. And for anyone wondering, it does indeed come with a 100x100 vesa mount in the box. I highly recommend it
Idk what it is, I have tried 390Hz IPS panels and various others but I keep coming back to this monitor. TN and response time is king.
Can you elaborate? I've been looking at the Acer 390Hz but it hasn't been in stock so I've had to consider other options. Is the Omen better even with the backlight strobing on the Acer?
@@umarellvidya1367 Personally I don't like the strobing.
Idk what it is, whether it's because it's TN but it just looks clearer / faster despite being similar / same response times. IPS panels seem to suffer from motion blur.

Hi guys, I'm getting a monitor soon and don't know whether to pick from Pixio PX7 prime or the LG32GK650F monitor
This monitor will be used for watching content such as movies Netflix and youtube and playing games.
All statistics are from Hardware Unboxed videos.
The pixio PX7 Prime specs are:
- 6.5 ms of gtg response times
- 8.13 ms dark level average
- 66.4% refresh rate compliance
- A response time average error of 5%
- inverse ghosting of 7.3%
- An input lag of 9.90
- CCT of 6602 -after onboard manual tweaking from the video
- Gamma of 2.191 -after onboard manual tweaking from the video
- deltaE of 0.84 -after onboard manual tweaking from the video
- 1035:1 contrast ratio
- 27' with a flat IPS panel (10bit) (400nits)
- £ 399.99 on amazon
The LG32GK650F specs are:
- 6.5ms of gtg response times
- 11.28 ms dark level average
- 79.1% refresh rate compliance
- A response time average error of 2%
- inverse ghosting of 4.5%
- An input lag of 10.73
- CCT of 6855 -after onboard manual tweaking from the video

- 2463:1 contrast ratio
- 32' with a flat VA panel (8bit) (300nits)
- £ 299.99 from Curry's pc world
Which one would be better suited for my needs? The size difference and the extra £ 100 does not change my decisions either. Or even better, if anyone could recommend me a better alternative 1440p 144hz monitor for around £ 300- £ 400

TheItalianStallion 13 it will as long your pc has enough power to pull off 240 fps
This is the best most elaborate product review I have ever seen.
I have the monitor for over a month now and I'm really happy with it - 240 hz on 1440p is great. Only big minus is the controls of the screen itself and not the possibility to make and quickswitch between profile settings ( game - browse - video).
This is one of the main features I love from BenQ monitors, I really hope BenQ releases an exceptional 1440p 240hz this year...I'll sell my XL2740 and get that or this, or whatever is best.
Would this monitor work well with a 2080 super running cod warzone ?
Mine arrives on Friday 😊
Why do your charts only show frame rates for ultra or epic settings? If you're getting a 240hz monitor, you're NOT going to be playing on ultra settings. Can you please consider usage when you do these reviews? For example, when reviewing 1440p 240hz monitors in the future, please show us the highest settings we can use and still get 200-240 frames in 1440p. I wanted to see the frame rate of a competitive online game being tested on 1440p 240hz , with competitive (performance focused) settings, not everything maxed out on ultra/epic.
1440p 240hz is my next upgrade from 1080p 144hz... it's been 7 years...
You do get VESA mount compatibility. There is an attachment in the box that you can connect a mount too. I have this monitor and have it mounted with no issues.
I picked up the Omen 32 1440p monitor about 3 years ago. Caps out at 75hz but I'll be damned if you couldnt use it to knock someone out and it would work fine after. This thing is built with impressive quality and I love it. Good show HP, good show.
Why does the refreshrate generally jump from 60Hz -> 120Hz and then suddenly 144Hz, 165Hz and 240Hz. Is there anything special with those specific numbers?
Probably the paneltech (TN at first) being pushed to slightly below its absolute limit. 60Hz, 75Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, 165Hz, 200Hz, 240Hz.
I know for a fact any 165Hz monitor is an overclocked 144Hz monitor (usually requires a manufacturer set profile within the OSD to "unlock" it). The other numbers are pretty likely to be just overclocked settings as well.
the refreshrates are usually a multiple of 24hz, which was and often still is the refreshrate used to get "fluid" motion in movies/TV/cameras. 60hz is 2.5x24hz, 120hz is 5x24hz and so on. 75hz is a multiple of 25hz 25 and 50hz are the standard refreshrates for the PAL(EU) format. The NTSC format however allows 30Hz/60Hz.
Another advantage of 240Hz is the increased adaptive sync range. Even if your gpu can't reach 240fps you never have to bother about crossing the upper frequency range and entering tearing territory.
VA is the only type of panel I’d buy anymore. Significantly better contrast and comparable colour and viewing angles to IPS and response times aren’t far off anymore either. I’m using a 144hz VA and don’t have any noticeable ghosting/smearing and couldn’t go back to the washed out TNs/IPSs.
It means that you have no clue about technology and how big of a difference is on a TN and VA or IPS... why people with no clue can have acces to internet... at least go inform your brain before commenting nonsense...
@@dorintony I have all three panel types right next to me. A BenQ 1080p/60hz/4ms TN, an Asus 1440p 60hz/5ms IPS and a Samsung 1440p/144hz/4ms VA. The IPS/VA have indistinguishable colour, viewing angles and response times but the VA has much better contrast. The TN just looks awful. I've played PUBG/CSGO on all three and the VA looks the best and clearest with black frame insertion (even at 60hz). My girlfriend has an ElectriQ 1440p/21:9/100hz/8ms VA and that has noticeable ghosting in the blacks so it depends on the spec of the VA whether it's good or not.
Looks great, 1440p 240Hz was something I was waiting for, but I just bought a pair of the Asus VG278Q (1080p 144Hz TN) open box from Amazon for $130 each. I couldn't pass up that deal. So far, I'm really impressed. Far better than the ROG Swift PG248Q (1080p 180Hz TN) I had before.
There is something up with the backlight of this monitor. I had it on release about a month ago and I returned it because i get real bad proper headaches by looking at it for more than 20 minutes.

Fantastic review! I was just wondering if u are planning on reviewing the “viewsonic XG270QG”? It uses the same panel as the lg 27gl850-b but with a g-sync module. For only 100 usd more.
Is such a minor difference worth $100? With that money just put it towards something better like a nicer mouse or keyboard or headset or mousepad or a better GPU (or a second/third/fourth GPU) or better water loop etc. If it’s really new design you can finally use that monitor with Freesync on Radeon hardware (preciously I would refuse to buy G-sync, unless it was like half the price as it locks you into a single vendor), and Freesync works on everything and works great on my Titan Xp collectors edition and I haven’t noticed any issues with it (I’m 99% certain it’s not on the aproved vendor list).
To me, I don’t think there could be a big enough difference to justify that (for reference, I can easily tell input lag difference between 240 fps and 300 fps even on a 60 Hz 4k monitor, I almost uninstalled the game because it felt “broken” and then I saw my drivers had somehow activated some power saving feature that limited it to 240 fps instead of hitting the game engine cap of 300 fps, switched that off and voila, game “fixed”, lol!). I usually target 200+ fps even on 60 Hz 4k monitors for games competitive games like Fortnite, but now basically I have a dedicated system for just for that game (the Titan isn’t good for anything else) which is using a 240 Hz 1080p monitor with the Titan Xp Star Wars edition and typically a Ryzen 1700 unless I want to sub-zero cool the processor for lols on which the phase cooler testbench is built upon (goes down to -60c and up to -35c when driving really power hungry chips like an
FX at 1.7 Vcore).
My main build is Threadripper with quad Fury (over double the fps of the Titan Xp, it can do a mind blowing 100 fps in Crysis 3 at 4k ultra vs a very choppy 45 fps on the Titan, hence I say get more GPUs if you can afford it, as basically just Fortnite is the only time I’ll use a crappy Titan, everything else gets blown away with my multi-GPU machine, and yeah, Threadripper is basically mandatory for quad GPU if you’re wanting to replicate, PCI lanes needed!)
This review is so amazingly thorough. Ty so much!

I own two HP Omen 27, the "old" ones and it's pretty good tbh ! It's consumption with my settings (luminance 0, all the shitty leds turned off) is 22w.
I find it a bit weird that this newer model eats up way more watts...
Other than that, the picture quality isn't bad, of course if you pay attention you can see the TN "blur" thingie on bright images, but the reactivity is awesome and I'm not a photo editor, besides having f.lux at 3000K at all times hahah
Also, compared to my two other HP Omen 27, the new X model has a bit more horizontal "blur" when scrolling text horizontally. Also takes a very long time to turn ON, as we can't disable the HP OMEN LOGO on this newer one. Overall I prefer the older Omen 27 screens, even though the new model has better colours, the contrast is very very bad. It's easy to see as I use them in triple screen.
Bought this today. I used my 144hz 1080p tn panel for over 9 years. Inever used an ips panel but i never hated it or had any problems. All i do is game and youtube web browsing etc. Fps is very important for me. I play old games like cs and halo mcc using a gtx 1080ti and a ryzen 5900x. I will upgrade my gpu once prices are acceptable. I bought this to play older games at a higher resolution and high fps. The IPS counterparts are like 250 bucks more expensive. People hate Tn panels but i was ok with it and dont have any complaints since i just sit in front of it and just play or watch UA-cam. I hope i made the right choice to go for this instead of a 165hz ips which where i live is only around 100 bucks cheaper. I went for max fps to futureproof and make the jump from my old monitor to this one more noticable. I am a huge fan of high fps in games. Lets wait and see..

I think monitor above the $400 with 120Hz+ should come with a small remote control with extra buttons dedicated to custom profiles.
I have this monitor, its amazing.. Games look amazing on it! and smooth enough for competitive play
do you use it for pc or console? and if you use it for pc what gpu cpu do you have?
now realistically aside from esports or really old games, what games can you play at 1440p 144-240 fps without dropping graphics details to very low? although in most games even that won't help. Good tech, but the hardware is just not there.
At 1440p you can turn off anti aliasing
@@xflamousz I already had that in mind when saying "dropping graphics details to very low", so my point still stands.
@@RonaldoFan-zz9rk I mean i actually recently got the other monitor that uses this panel (after having this one and returning it as the backlight gave me horrendous hedaches) and I can run BF, the new cod etc at 240 fps. With a mixture of some settings low or off others like textures filtering etc maxxed. But I also have a 2080 on water.
@@xflamousz in new battlefield you won't go far above 144fps with the 2080 ti at medium settings ua-cam.com/video/wjKxhVB3Ctk/v-deo.html
in COD okay maybe, I don't know I guess it's well optimized then, but you're looking at exceptions. the absolute majority of games won't run at high framerates in 1440p these days
@@xflamousz I'm talking Gears 5, Borderlands 3, Ghost recon breakpoint, Metro Exodus, Outer Worlds, Red dead redemption 2, Control. All these games I listed are modern and you'll be lucky to get 144fps in these games at 1440p with the 2080 ti
What gpu would give you 240fps at 1440p? Two titan X’s?
The TN panel is sorta a deal breaker for me
I agree! Once you go IPS there's no going back to TN imo.. well I couldn't anyway!
your content is amazing. You answered my questions within the video @ 4:25 we must see the competitors Legion Y27gq-25 & the Acer Nitro VG2 :)
Hp omen x 27 or samsung odessey g7 ??? Please answer me I have to decide 😰
hardcore pvp fps gamer and nothing else? HP all the time, you play other games aswell and enjoy eye candy? samsung g7
@@lennartmook9182 nothing but Pubg thanks for the replay 🌹
yippie video releases are back to during Aussie evenings 🥰
Hi could you please review the HP Omen 27i please 🙂
YEs please do htis one im curious to to see how it stacks up against LG GL850
27" is unfortunately too large for TN, viewing angles will cause vingetting at the edges depending on distance.
Never had an issue with my 27" TN. Just don't sit with your face in the monitor. Adjust your viewing distance based on the size of the panel (duh)
I have this monitor. I can maximize the 240fps on COD MW on small maps like "King" and its amazing! The response time and input lag is top notch! The only down side of this monitor is its color accuracy. But ofcourse you cant just have everything. If I want more color contrast then I use my LG OLED 55 inch tv. But this monitor is great for FPS and browsing the net due to its 240hz. Single player is good too but not that great due to color. Overall I'm very happy to have a 1440p 240hz monitor.
Cant wait for a AW2721D review from you guys!
Why does it say Native 2560x1440 is at 60hz????
Nice review, but im not interessted in 1440p. I just want the fastest 240hz Monitor (lowest input latency) while still have no ghosting/smearing
Please review one of the follwing Monitors: Acer Nitro xf252q, HP Omen x25F, and/or Acer Predator XN3 XN253QXbmiprzx
Those should be pretty fast, im curious if they are faster than the HP Omen X 27
Hey guys, really like your videos, keep up your good work.
Regarding the recommendation at the end of the video I have a question though: I looked up the LG 27GL850 on amazon just to find a cheaper verion of the monitor the LG 27GL83. After reading reviews and gathering information about it i got the impression that the performance is almost the same.
Being no professional I would be very interested in a comparison between the LG 27GL83 and the LG 27GL850. If it really is the same performance for 270 dollar less it would be a fantastic deal but i somehow doubt it LG would sell something with simmilar performance for nearly half the price.
Of course anyone is welcome to answer this questions. Greetings from Germany.
Rtings did a comparison of the two
@@CknSalad Thanks for the Answer. After watching the Video from Rtings I definitly intend to buy the LG 27GL83. Who would have thought the difference would only be the USB Hub! Hardware Umboxed should definitly update their Best 1440p 144Hz Category as this Monitor just skyrocketed in the Price to Performace ladder. For half the price of the original monitor but with the same panel this could easily be the best Bang for Buck Monitor of 2019.
I have the older hp omen 27" that's 1440p and 165hz. They stopped making the 27" and to see them bringing it back is awesome
Are you going to review the Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD?
GREAT review! I'm definitely going to grab one. I mainly play Fortnite and Siege which with my 1080 ti and 9700k @5.2ghz I can hold fps around 200-240 and far exceed that in fortnite. There's no link for the X 27 in your description tho? Is it not out for sale yet?
It's on the HP website
@@123shadower thanks!
Thinking get one of this.. still worth ?
My question is - do we leave adaptive sync on (from the OSD for the monitor), when we are also using G-sync?
Got the monitor, you need to turn A-Sync on in OSD else Gsync wont show up in the drivers control center
There is a VESA mount adapter in the box
Love your work! So sensible and so smooth, I wish you had reviewed the Samsung C27JG5x.....
Damn. Can you do the CRG9 from Samsung and tick of the two monitors I find the most interesting for this year :D? You guys would be my heroes even more if you did so
Really didn't expect a good monitor from HP.
Colors don't seem too good though but I don't mind that too much.
is this monitor gsync compatible ?
Can you review Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25 and compare it to HP Omen X 27?
Please review the HP Omen X 25F.
hey can you review the asus tuf vg32vq1b pls 🙏🏻🙏🏻
this monitor is selling nowadays for $350, im gonna get it soon, im buying a new high end pc too so 240fps in 2k on all modern comp games will be ez
This monitor should come with a vesa adapter in the box, mine did at least. It just hooks on to where the stand connects now and gives you a standard 100x100 vesa mount.
IAmSkyhawk thanks for info... this is really good news for me... did you actually buy this 240hz version and not that 165hz version? Did you experienced some issues and how is it overall?
@@B0R1S3K Yes, I have the 240hz version. I've enjoyed it pretty well overall. Everything feels buttery smooth and if I drop some settings down I can hit 180+ in most games I play on my 5700xt. I only really played fast paced easier to drive games but couldn't convince myself to go back to 1080p after having a 1440p monitor. The only thing I don't like is that it is a 27 inch monitor, I would've preferred a 24 inch, but that is a minor nitpick and most people prefer 27 inch 1440p monitors. If I've had any issues I can't think of them at the moment.
Wonder when we will get a review of the Sceptre C305B-200UN. It is a 200hz 2560 * 1080 1800R curved VA panel that goes for $299. As of right now, I can't think of a single display with a spec sheet as bizarre as this one.
Just set up the 25 inch version Omen X 25f 240hz. Bought it refurbished for $245 :)
Would love to see Hardware Unboxed review the Omen 27i
The HP Omen 27i is a new monitor by then you guys should review. Looks like a good competitor to the Viewsonic elite and the GL850. It’s also on sale at Best Buy for 400 right now instead of the usual 500.
Thanks a lot for yor work guys! Please make a review on new Benq EX2780Q monitor - looks like a pretty good option this days.
For the older models OMEN 25 (144hz TN) there is a vesamount extention in the package...you maybe going to get that from somewhere, if its not included here. (mounting mechanism seems to be the same)
I'll be buying this monitor going into 2021, the best pick for me
1080p IPS is getting 240Hz while 240Hz is getting 1440p TN
The monitor comes with a vesa adapter. I have mine vesa mounted. The adapter plugs into the back and has a square plat for the mounts.
Can't wait for these 240Hz panels to come down in price so I can finally justify going to 240hz. Wish they'd stop releasing them in freakishly large sizes like 27 inches though. What's the point of a higher pixel count if you're just going to trash the PPI by making the panel larger?
Can the 2080super actually run games like fortnite and call of duty warzone at 1440p and 240hz?
sure if you pair with a 10600k OC and lower the settings (fortnite gets 300 +fps with low settings 1440p and warzone 200+)
