Optimising kitchen storage in a small home with custom drawers | Pantry declutter

- In this video I declutter my pantry in preparation for installing custom soft close drawers in 3 kitchen cupboards including the pantry, my pots and pans cupboard, as well as the main utility cupboard in my new apartment. I show footage of the drawers being installed, arrange my items in the new drawers and the full results of the kitchen declutter and reorganisation. I hope you enjoy the magic of turning shelves into drawers to make better use of my small space!

Those drawers are great. I have no idea what I'll be getting in our new apartment but if I have cupboards instead of drawers I'll definitely be doing something like this. It's especially wonderful for your narrow pantry.

Hi Lilibet! brilliant makeover with the sliding drawers! I would love to install those one day! thank you for the motivation, I need to get my pantry and larder sorted out as well. I do kept my containers together with the lid on as well, yes it does take a little space but it saves me time and its a jiff when it comes to packing my lunch in the morning. lots of love and have a wonderful weekend! xo

Narrow, deep pantry shelves are ridiculous! I didn't even know you can have custom drawers made and retrofitted into cupboards! This is brilliant!
So true! But I suppose I should be grateful to have a pantry at all. Not all apartments have them. You do loose a bit of width when the drawers are installed. But it creates much more useable space. 😍

They are beautiful!!! I can see with the deep shelves one must have drawers. I know it's not good to be envious but I am. I want the pot and pan drawers. I'm always lifting something up to get the pan under it. And to have a drawer to put the lids in..oh my!!

They use these drawers by Blum, www.blum.com/au/en/products/boxsystems/tandembox-antaro/overview/. They are definitely an investment but wonderful quality and value for money. 😍
Oh wow! I was just thinking it's a shame those pantry compartments are so deep! But, with the drawer inserts, they have been absolutely transformed! Now I'm thinking, thank goodness they're so deep! Look how much you can fit in there! AND you can easily access everything now 😍
Lilibet, may I ask, where did you get those clear Sistema containers with the black lids? The ones that you were decantering your teas into? They look perfect! (PS I'm also in Melbourne)
Yeah, the drawers have worked out great 😀 Sistema are often on sale at either Coles or Woolies. Seems to be on sale right now at Big W. I would say they are medium quality robustness and air tightness. I like them because they are slimline which really works for my narrow pantry and are not too expensive. I have heard that the Kmart ones with Bamboo lids are also good value. If you want to go high end you could try, www.blissfullittlehome.com.au/. Maybe I'll swap over one day when I want to get fancy 😍

I cut out the name of the tea from the box and put it in the plastic containers, so that I know what kind of tea it is.

I thought you decluttered everything before the move surprised to here things are well out of date already.
Yes there were a few items from a previous decluter that had a some months left before expiry. Thought I would hang on to them just in case but didn't end up using them. Mostly baking supplies.
