There is nothing way to calibrate the focus motor when operating from the handle wheel. The problem is that on lenses with the focus wheel lock, it is possible to break the focus ring, because you cannot set the working range of motor. I think the DJI should consider calibration motor in the next firmware.

Yeah, this is a major problem. On lenses with hard stops the camera bumps like crazy when it hits the end of the focus range... Lenses that have infinite focus ring rotation are generally autofocus anyway, so in most cases you don't need the focus motor at all for that type of lens. So what is the point of the focus motor if it barely works with manual (hard stop) lenses?

Regarding your issue, please try to use the camera riser, or mount the motors on both sides, but you may need one more rod mount, if you have a longer rod mount, you can try and adjust the distance of the motors.
@@DJISupportGlobal Ok thank for your answer.
I understood that it is not exactly the same focus motor because of you are in another country.
Thanks for your help, I’m going to try.
Last question, how can I get the WiFi transmission and the control of the Ronin with the Raveneye using this configuration ?
The the new focus is using the USB port of the Ronin (who was used by the Raveneyen).
There is a solution for this ?
@@paris3DVR Could you please tell us the specific camera model do you use? You may check out the tutorial first: ua-cam.com/video/s0bNfpN-0Is/v-deo.html

why do they call the second motor a 'focus' motor when it clearly activates the zoom function!! My goodness, nobody in marketing bother to check these videos for accuracy before they're released?
Hello, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. May we know which product you are using and could you please tell us more details?
Anyone know how to reverse the dial so the lens focused the opposite way?
Slide your finger up on the screen and select dial speed. you can adjust the speed, smoothness, and dial direction from there.

Unfortunately the focus motor is not compatible with a 1DX and standard L series lenses. Big oversight. :(
I've connected everything, and my focus motor blinks red. What now? Is it telling me I need to update or something?
1:36 This is not happening for me. I have the correct dial options, and the cables are connected, but it really just sits there flashing red. I'm starting to get worried there's something wrong...
Hello, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. Would you please tell us which product you are using and how the red like blinks? For example, the red lights blinks fast or low, how many times?
The Focus Motor doesn't reach the gears on my lens. I'm shooting with a C70 which is a tall camera and a Rokinon Cine Lens which is not very wide like the Canon RF lenses so it's just out of reach. Has anyone found a workaround?
Yea. You would have to print a wider gears
Can't rotate both A and B at the same time..
pity..
first half it shows rf lens then it shows EF lens
Is there anything these gimbals can't do?
My gear strip is wayyyyy too long. It sticks out like 5 inches on my 16-35mm sony lens. What on earth am I supposed to do.....
Hi there, may we ask will it affect the other accessories? If you usually only use this lens, you can cut off the excess part of the gear strip.
@@DJITutorials I guess I can cut off the excess for my largest lens and hopefully the extra won't be too long for my slightly smaller lenses.
Also, is there any way to flip the direction of the focus wheel? I don't like the current set up of the knob and the direction it focus pulls
@@trimotionmedia5487 Hi there, you can press and hold the focus wheel multifunction button to reverse the rotational direction of the focus motor. You can also check out more information at the focus motor users manual: dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_RS_2/DJI_Ronin_Focus_Motor_User_Guide_mul_v1.2.pdf.
Please let us know if we misunderstand the request, thank you.
Due to the new digital focus control with the new index finger wheel, the focus motor is rendered a pointless purchase. The only redeeming factor would be calibration and focus control with the limiting options, like the previous Ronin S and SC had, but this has been completely removed??? DO NOT BUY THE PRO COMBO VERSION unless you want the Raven Eye, which even then can be bought separately later.
What is this digital focus control you are talking about? I bought the RSC2 but thinking about ordering the Pro so I can have the zoom motor.
😍😍
Anyone take off the M4 cover and nothing is there at all?
yes but when you zoom it goes out of balance
It doesn't work with the Canon 1Dx Mark II despite the fact that DJI uses it in their commercials to sell RS2. The motor is too short and doesn't touch the lenses. I just wasted my money and DJI customer services remains silent after several messages...
❤️
This does not work with the Nikon Z 9
Did NOT show how to calibrate it
Ага сказки расскажите... камера раскрутится таким макаром и отвалится... я дома выпиливал с уголка детали для фиксации объектива чтобы его не мотало... иначе камера открутится и разобъётся......
Foucs :)
Thats one HOT chinaman

can I use the one focus motor on the zoom for dzo 20-70mm parfocal lens without disrupting calibration? Thank you for any clarification.
