All I need is a BUILT IN ACTIVE TRACK IN THE GIMBAL. Just throw in the User interface from the pocket 3 where you can tap to track people/items. This would open up so much creative shots and movements especially for solo operators. I dont want to screw around with a separate raveneye system.
@@TheAETHER22 lol I don't want that cropped "tracking feature". Those never look good anyways. I want gimbal tracking where you can do interesting/cinematic shots with the camera actually moving. Add easy parallax shots into the workflow.
Honestly when I saw they had vertical shooting that’s all I needed to hear to instantly buy it. My work flow has me going back and forth between vertical shooting and landscape shooting. This is going to save me a bunch of time!

just for the record, if you forget your battery you can not power your camera with any external power. I did that once and tried everything and my camera did not turn on without a battery in it. Dummy battery or a battery with at least 5-10% should work.

This is essentially the same as the RS3 Pro. Not worth upgrading this year, especially from RS3 Pro. Hopefully RS5 Pro will actually be a worthy upgrade, with notable differences.

I have the same exact setup as you but have not been happy with the gimbal. It seems like the gimbal isn’t actually strong enough to stabilize big sweeping movements. It always wigs out. What type of gimbal shooting are you normally doing?
I own the RS2, do you think the stabilization of the RS4 is better than that? That's the only reason I would upgrade honestly. Awesome B-Roll btw, the best I've seen so far.
I have flown a similarly heavy set up on the RS2 before and the RS4 Pro is noticeably more capable. Though note that the RS2 is technically the RS2 'Pro' from a payload perspective.
Same question here. I can say you that I use it with a rs3 and it works properly til you don't zoom to 35 or 150. This is the only reason why I'm leaning towards the Pro model right now.
In general if my regular setup is a A7R5 or FX3 with a 35mm, 85mm and at the most a 70-200mm and later on putting focus motors and other accessories...I was thinking of just going with the RS4Pro?..will a "lighter" setup on the Pro make it more "jittery" in the sense that it might be too "light" for the Pro?..bc my rational was "I rather have and not need then need and not have" kind of future proofing myself if I do have heavier setups down the line and the Pro will be able to handle it...
do you think we could mount a Cannon C200 on top and it would operate well? C200 weighs about 3.2Lbs and lets just say its a Rokonin 50mm(1.16lbs) lens we attach. with a 10 lb payload it should be able to fly a bunch of different rigs, I wanted to see what you thought, Joey?

Hi Joey and other RS4 users - how does this RS4 fair with heavier zoom lenses, when zooming in and out (if yoyve balanced the gimbal to the middle of the Zoom)?
I have an Canon R5 and a Ronin RS2 Pro, I’m looking to buy a new stabaliser, thinking of going for the normal and not the pro due to it’s weight because I travel a lot. Anyone regret their decision not going for the pro version?
Where would you place a R6II with RF24-105mm z at, RS4 or RS4 PRO? (Its a 2kg +- rig before cage and focus motor/power zoom (PZ) are mounted) The original RS3 when i borrowed the showroom one to test, i had problems with the eye piece, kinda similar to your issue with the V mount battery on the cine rig, and this was before the PZ came out I ain't gonna try any fancy transmission stuff with the raven eye
Rs4 is good for me but when changing settings on camera while the gimbal is on and shooting will the camera shake too much and the shot be unusable? Past gimbals the motors are too weak to be able to change settings on camera without shake so the shot is ruined. That’s why we always bought the pro versions
Did you even watch the video ? Maybe do some research, these gimbals since the original ronin S have been able to to take almost all mirrorless setups. Just not massive lenses
@@philvfilms Im mainly interested in concrete experience with the load, because three kilos is not that much and it will definitely be better to have a reserve for the setup. No need to be toxic next time ;)
@@martin.prazan I’m not being toxic it’s nice for someone to do some research. Fx3 weight is 720grams add a battery and lens will be less than half the max payload total.
