I fully agree on GM seats being uncomfortable! I'm a previous owner of a 2018 Chevy Tahoe Premier and the seats, which are the same for all recent models GM trucks and full size SUVs, are way less comfortable than Ford equivalent cars and trucks
@@studio101280 I'm not talking about seats in top trim levels from GM and Ford! Xlt & Limited from Ford. IMO Ford seats are way more comfortable
Complaining about the seats to me is comical. First of all it’s a truck not a Rolls Royce! If your over the age of 50 I am sure you remember how uncomfortable the trucks from the 70’s 80’s were. My first truck that my dad passed down to me was 1976 regular cab Chevy pickup. It had heat only no ac, am radio only and no power anything with a hard ass vinyl bench seat that burned your ass in the summer and was hard and cold as cement in the winter. Currently I have a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab truck. My God I never dreamed that trucks would be this nice and comfortable. The creature comforts are a God send anyone that works a Physical job and especially one where your outside most of the time having a nice vehicle makes the you feel like the money you paid was worth it especially if your over 50!
@paulespinoza1994 oh please! The seats in the old GMT800 were straight up recliners! Everyone praised how good they were. That's why I'm still holding onto my gmt800 Suburban Z71.
They are both very cool trucks with lots of power. I do think the black or Vader chrome looks very premium. I am not a regular chrome or brushed nickel fan at all. I think when it comes to towing Ford usually wins that battle out of all three of the major truck manufacturers.but I would buy either or it doesn’t matter to me.
Viewing You & Dad in both cabs… Ford Interior more roomy in width and wide bodies fit better in Ford seats. Sunroof big difference, Full power tailgate Up & Down another plus, Upfitter Switches and wiring loom another benefit… the ability to use SW ( ForScan) to tweak settings, calibrate larger tires, etc. is a huge plus for Ford.
@@luketrochinski3954 I stated the SW (software), "ForScan". It allows very in-depth mods & Tweaks on many variables in programming. Exp: What lights are on for Daytime, Fogs on with HighBeams, behavior of locks, changing control behavior, adding features to Instrument panel, adjust tire size and speedometer, change the TPMS Tire pressure values, etc, etc. The Tire Size is a good one, most newer Trucks can't recalibrate their Speedo and many Dealerships won't reprogram it either. That Speedo change requires several tweaks in the programming. The Wire Harness, GM may now provide... inside Cab providing physical 6 Upfitter Switches (on Ceiling) pre-wired in harness. Each Switch Includes Relays & Fuses seperately for each of the 6 Switches of what ever you desire to configure. I'm a Ford guy (and yes, the seats are far superior on the Ford), but these days, having gone minimalist in expectation of the upcoming retirement, I don't even have a garage that could swallow that beast, and no side parking area. Why am I watching this? 😂
I wouldn’t say far superior at all. Initially they feel more comfortable but at least for me the range of adjustment (how low they go) and driving very long hours, the Ford seats slowly cut off my circulation. I’m about 6’0” 190lbs. Initially the GMC feel opposite, very firm but over long drives and after a certain amount of time they break in gradually and are much more supportive. The Ford seats also are cheaper in material quality. Ford up front, GMC over the long haul. Something to consider I think - I’ve owned both.
@@CH-RC The longest run I did in a Ford was 3K miles in 4 days, and I was surprised how comfortable I was. 6'3" 230 lbs. I did not have similar long runs in a GMC/Chevy, but like you said, initial impressions were not good.
I've always had ford lariat super duty and hands down for me GMC Denali is definitely more comfortable and the interior is way better from here on out GMC has my vote
The seats in a Chevy are terrible!!! I drove a 2019 90 miles one way to work and was wore out by the time I got there … now I drive a 2024 55 miles to work and they haven’t changed a bit!
We have both in our business. Not the top of line of either but high 80's on both. I preferred the Ford on many counts. Power, comfort and extra stuff like the plug on the inside and in cab..etc. The seats are a big one for us on long hauls. They are way comfier. The dash looks better on the GMC but the wood doesn't do it for me. The exterior looks I prefer on the GMC. Now I feel the ride is better with nothing in the beds of the GMC where when I add 300lbs in the Ford it helps soften it up. Both great, both have been flawless in 20k miles.

I saw that you showed the Dinali as 127,000 Canadian and 97,000 American and the Ford 124,000 Canadian and 99,000 American… Something is not correct there. If the Ford is less Canadian, it should be less American also…
The Canadians marked up the Denali more than the Americans did. The numbers are not interchangeable one is just simply the price of the truck in Canada and one is just the price in America.
I just brought the GMC for price reason only. I wanted a new Ford, but the price was wade above my budget. I am happy with my purchase, but I am still a Ford man. Great video with tons of information. I learned a few things about my GMC.
Since you asked which one looks best. I don't hate the Ford. However, to my eye the front end looks like an over size version of the Maverick. That isn't bad, but it makes it look like...less than a heavy duty. The GMC definitely has an in-your-face look. For that much money, I prefer the look of the GMC.
@truckking i owe you a big thank you sir, I'm going to be an entrepreneur soon and your video has been a pleasant guide towards a heavy duty vehicle choice. Wishing you and your lovely family great health and success 🙏
Honestly, I would prefer a Ram 3500 Limited 4X4 Long bed SRW or DRW with a Cummins, but Ram needs to get an 8-speed transmission or greater. I doubt that will happen because Ram has too much drama going on right now. I love the GMC’s Multi Pro Tailgate because I am shorter than 6ft(1.8M). Since Ford copied the sidestep and the bumper step from GM I wish they would be able to copy the Multi Pro Tailgate. I agree with your Dad that the GMC Denali is a more elegant truck, but I would buy the Ford because it has the features that I want like the secondary tailgate camera, the bed scales, the 2kw bed outlet and the 4 cup holders. I am not sure if the High Output Power Stroke is worth an extra $2,500(USD)/$3,381.87(CAD). The only problem is that I cannot decided between a F350 Platinum 4X4 SRW long bed or a F450 Platinum 4X4 DRW.
Didn’t like the look of the ford initially but I think I prefer it compared to the GM this time. Don’t know if it’s the color of this particular GM but it just seems too busy and I think the ford has more useful features in this comparison
You guys are my favorite truck channel, and I own ZR2 since 2019. But what I have never seen you or the other truck channel (with Andre on it) to cover in depth is how these trucks age. A few years from now, how do the engines/transmissions, etc. hold, what are the pain points, what trucks are money pits, looking great brand new but then complete junk 48 months later (mind you, doing real world heavy duty truck work, not pavement princess parking or just picking groceries)...? Wish you would do that, but since you don't, I watch Scotty Kilmer in the meantime.
32:01 One thing Ford does show I believe is turbo boost pressure which I personally appreciate. GM is far better looking exterior and Interior and my preferred manufacturer but Ford does have pros over GM trucks. Better braking, power, more AC electrical capacity in the bed.
Not a typo. Vehicles are priced differently in the US and Canada. It is not based on the conversion. And in this case, GMC USA seems to offer more value where GMC Canada thinks its truck should be priced above the competition.
Great video, liked the comparison and I’d most likely buy the GM Because of a light bias but also because when is it enough. You’d have to think, how much is too much when it comes to capability without challenging tractor trailer semi stuff. Also I have a question on how much of a difference is it for diesel to gas for ranch work?
If the front grill and hood look is why you purchase a truck, then definitely get the gmc, because after that, the Ford has it beat everywhere else except the tailgate seat you can sit on. Since the gmc is $4000 more, I'd get a leveling kit for the ford front end to lift it 2 inches and put a black ranch hand front bumper guard with a 12,000 pound warn winch on it
i have a 2024 GMC 2500 Denali Ultimate with the max trailering package, the payload is 3300 lbs and 20000 lbs, gooseneck 21600 lbs, only flaw i have with my truck is the fact that it doesn’t come with the 8Ft bed, like how the Silverado High Country, that would be awesome and it would compete better with this F250 with the 8Ft Bed
The only things I’ll knock the gmc for are the seats, no power adjustable foot pedals and no power adjustable steering column/wheel. I would knock it for not having a panoramic sunroof but I won’t since I don’t like fords or rams. Gm if you’re reading this, put in a panoramic sunroof or bigger sunroof that can be opened up all the way or just enough for the driver and passengers to stick up through. I know it sounds silly but that’s what the old school sunroofs were used for. But have the choice for no sunroof as well for the people who know they eventually start leaking.
So GMC looks better and has the rear view camera mirror. Other than that the ford seems to win everything else. The GMC had more payload but the 8’ bed makes that difference.

Negative . They say they break in after a while but I’m with the people that say otherwise. After owning my Silverado for 6 years if anything the seat got worse and I had to buy a seat cushion .
I'm looking at the Gasser 7.3 Ford and the 6.7 diesel as a replacement for my F150 V8, since I'm moving into towing 12 to 14K lbs. Are there any winter starting concerns with any diesel engine, I've heard that it is very bad for cold diesels. Should i be concerned because i live in a cold climate where starting below minus 15 Celsius is common.
Not to be that guy, but for some reason I’m not sorry that I have to manually adjust my steering wheel. The power seats are there, and they’re fine, but I wouldn’t be sorry if I didn’t have them. I wound up paying way too much in 22, but that was something I had to do. We always thought trucks would come back down, but how stupid; nothing ever comes down, only up up up. The roof lights I didn’t want were $55 USD, I don’t remember the cost of the other features off the top of my head. I hunted for 3 months before finding it in another state, so it’s not like I was impulsive. I’m just glad I’m done truck shopping for several years.
I just went to GMC dealer in Phoenix to look at 3, 2024 Duramax ATX4 they had on the lot. One had the hood up and nobody could give me an answer what was wrong. Another had a check engine light on and I could not test drive. The last one had a dead battery and wouldn't start. Are there common problems with these brand new trucks or was this a fluke? I'm definite leaning F250 Lariat Tremor at this point.
Definitely like the exterior looks of the GMC better (current 3500 Denali owner) but I’m trading into a Ford F250 Limited. The ride is MUCH smoother and the interior is better. Pro power is also very useful.
Ford! Go to the super duty and Denali forums and it’s more unanimous that Ford is the better option. People who went from GM to Ford are seemingly not looking back. They all have their issues but the ford seems to be superior in this comparison.
Both are nice looking trucks, I think I might like the look of the GMC just a bit better. I like both colors of the trucks, but the Ford wins for me in that.
In late ‘23 I was on the way to the Ford lot to possibly trade my ‘21 Denali 1500 in on an F250 Limited. Hadn’t seen one in person yet. Liked what I saw online with the interior… looked amazing, think it even had tilt-recline back seats, comfier seats per reviews, I even liked the front grill. And it was a more powerful truck. But I ended up driving right past that lot to the GMC dealer. I had to yield to my inner child desire to have the better looking vehicle. GMC’s aggressive look is very commanding. And am I the only one that can’t stand all the metal on the tailgates of the higher end luxury Fords? Looks terrible. And I couldn’t imagine not having the multi-pro tailgate now that I’ve had one. I ended up getting the ‘24 AT4 HD and love it.
I like the Ford but I am a Ford guy, but 975 ft pounds of torque is more than enough. In my opinion the GMC is a nicer looking truck but there's no way I would ever pay a 100K for any truck.
@@wiseguy3492 I thought aboot that, could be the GMC is made in Flint, so more expensive due to different law requirements and transport. Could just be a mistake, nonetheless I’d like to know.
GM takes the win. I've had both. GM rides way better. GM has a superior fuel system. I think the transmission is a lot smoother. The only edge i would think the ford has is, its built tougher with the solid front axle and a select few other things that make it a better work truck. Also the cabin is bigger and the seats are way better and thats it.

Tailgate is cool, styling is great & ride/build quality is good. Seats are not comfortable but that's subjective. RAM 3500 HO: Aisin shifts/lag is horrible! Cab/exterior is stale. Interior was best but other 2 caught up on style. Need configuration of 8' bed w/megacab & cargobox. Storage/layout is good. Build quality is OK. Ride is stiff. Best EB brake. Horrible phone charger pad. 24 F350 Limited Standouts that made me love this truck: Interior layout/storage and cupholders is awesome. 8' bed=48 gal fuel tank. EB is much improved. Shifting is smooth and tells you gear. Dedicated DEF/gear selection, turbo, EB & more info shown. Seats are awesome. Phone charger is large/good location to see. Style is 2nd to GMC but very good. Smoothest ride and best engine power in my opinion.
Obviously I am a long time Ford guy however when it comes to the interior, GMC has that in spades with the natural warm earth tones which I wish Ford would incorporate in their interiors. Even on my F-150 Supercrew, it's dark gray against light gray and it's bland and boring. I'd personally love to see wood grain added to the dash panel and door panels to break up the monotony and make it more inviting. One of my favorite Ford interiors is the King Ranch saddle leather. When you climb into that truck with extremely muddy boots on and leather gloves, it's no big deal because that is what that interior styling is geared towards. Mud on the seats, no big deal just brush it off after is dries out.
The etching in the wood and leather of the Denali is the topographic map of Denali… now that’s cool.

I wish I had such a luxurious truck in daily use. I would choose Ford with its HO diesel engine. Great review, Greetings
The Denali is 100% the best looking, but Ford offers more goodies. If I were doing line hauling, I would get the ram and if I were using it for construction, I would get the Ford but for comfort and family I would get the GMC. JMHO
I agree The Denali blows the First out of the water in looks period! The interior final looks like a premium level vehicle should for that amount of money in other words it doesn’t look cheesy and cheap! The infotainment system along with the camera system is top tier now The Bose system is not the best in the business but fir a nice truck it’s more than adequate plus honestly Tye human ear has a limit acoustically speaking.
The Ford looks absolutely horrible! They used to look better in my opinion but these new ones are an eyesore
You guys do awesome reviews, I'm looking at both of these trucks to buy and this has been very good information. Thanks guys!!
My old 2005 Suburban Z71 has the 4x4 auto feature. Still havent been in bad weather yet to test it out. That was the selling feature over the Excursion for me.
Ford hit it absolutely out of the park everywhere but the grill. I love it personally, but it is hard to argue with that gmc front end. However, it’s impossible to argue with that high output engine and 10 speed trans

@@davidg5965 I have a Rapid Red/Dark Bronze Metallic F450 two tone coming up to its build date soon (after waiting almost 2 years).
@rich7447 that's awesome man, why'd it take so long to get made though?
@@davidg5965 That's the norm for trims above Lariat on the F450s unfortunately.
I fully agree on GM seats being uncomfortable! I'm a previous owner of a 2018 Chevy Tahoe Premier and the seats, which are the same for all recent models GM trucks and full size SUVs, are way less comfortable than Ford equivalent cars and trucks
Not true, I have the ultimate and every part of the seat can be customized to you. You have to go into the massage seat functions.
@@studio101280 I'm not talking about seats in top trim levels from GM and Ford! I'm talking about the comfort of seat in affordable trim levels where most people end up buying specially with the crazy prices these days. Compare the seats comfort between LT & Premier from GM VS.
What is the SW, and are you saying GM doesn't loom their wire harnesses?
Air Pump, Additional parameter lights, snow equipment, Change Horn relays between OEM & Air Horn for Steering wheel, etc. Plus, if you needed a lot more, That can be added with multiple Screen Switches if needed: Boom & Utility Bed controls, or program a Series of events with 1 switch.
I’ll be ordering a ‘25 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate and will be moving to Payson and that’s what’s necessary. I’ll also have cars in the garage with it.
@@CH-RCthe Ford’s interior is plastic, Mattel-made, cheap, and noisy as hell. Not even a comparison to the Denali Ultimate.
The seats in a Chevy are terrible!!! I drove a 2019 90 miles one way to work and was wore out by the time I got there … now I drive a 2024 55 miles to work and they haven’t changed a bit!
What is the deal with General Motors and seat quality? They don't have the greatest seats and haven't since the 90s-early 00s.
The last gen of the good seats was in the mid 2000s. Loved my 2004 seats, my new 18s high country are mediocre at best. Super disappointing.
@@chadsteele1you own a clapped out, hand-me-down, 2004 GMC you certainly didn’t buy new, and you’re on here commenting about a $120k truck’s seats.
I imagine you typing this as the business owner’s assistant who has only read emails from the sales reps who your owner purchased from…and not an actual human who has even so much as sat in both trucks within the same day. 🎉🎉
@@VState60 You imagined wrong. We own both in our construction business and pull everything from 16k skid steers to 22k 37' Grady White and a large Catamaran. I also own a 20 F250 7.3 with 85k miles which is now being used by a few long-term employees. I just brought the GMC for price reason only. I wanted a new Ford, but the price was wade above my budget. I am happy with my purchase, but I am still a Ford man. Great video with tons of information. I learned a few things about my GMC.
Fact is, you could have gotten a Ford for the price you paid for the GMC. Plain and simple. I'm not buying either, that's a waste of money in my eyes.
I wonder how hard or expensive it is to retrofit more power to the GM AC outlet?
Since you asked which one looks best. I don't hate the Ford. However, to my eye the front end looks like an over size version of the Maverick. That isn't bad, but it makes it look like...less than a heavy duty. The GMC definitely has an in-your-face look. For that much money, I prefer the look of the GMC.
16:28 GM’s mirrors won over Ford. They have the rear facing led lights where Ford doesn’t. GMC also offers a second blinker yellow light.
love the video thanks for all the info
Man that GMC looks gorgeous. That be my truck because it looks so more blingy ❤️
@truckking i owe you a big thank you sir, I'm going to be an entrepreneur soon and your video has been a pleasant guide towards a heavy duty vehicle choice. Wishing you and your lovely family great health and success 🙏
Excellent review as always!!!😁
Looks alone, I'm loving the Denali Ultimate...inside and out. But darnitt, FORD just gives you so much.
I would like to see long term reliability of the Ford dodge and gmc hd's what truck do put the least amount of money in?
32:01 One thing Ford does show I believe is turbo boost pressure which I personally appreciate.
GM is far better looking exterior and Interior and my preferred manufacturer but Ford does have pros over GM trucks. Better braking, power, more AC electrical capacity in the bed.
Great review
Was there a typo on the pricing? How was the GMC cheaper in US $ but more expensive in Canadian $?
Not a typo. Vehicles are priced differently in the US and Canada. It is not based on the conversion. And in this case, GMC USA seems to offer more value where GMC Canada thinks its truck should be priced above the competition.
@@TruckKing Yes, I was thinking simple conversion. Thanks for the response. Love your content.
So i have a price question, which you started the viseo with. Why is the GMC $127K CAD & $97K US, but the Ford is $124K CAD & $99K US?
GM gauges don't show what gear you are in! You can't say they have more information.
I'm looking forward to 1000hp and 2500lb-ft trucks in 7-10 years
lol it’ll probably be electric.
Lol
You picked the right one
Does the GM tailgate step interfere with a large trailer hitch?
yes it does
B&W makes a tow and stow model specifically for the multi pro tailgate. No issues.
You can lock it out so it won't drop on your trailer ball. Just remember to do it each time you install your receiver.
If the front grill and hood look is why you purchase a truck, then definitely get the gmc, because after that, the Ford has it beat everywhere else except the tailgate seat you can sit on. Since the gmc is $4000 more, I'd get a leveling kit for the ford front end to lift it 2 inches and put a black ranch hand front bumper guard with a 12,000 pound warn winch on it
i have a 2024 GMC 2500 Denali Ultimate with the max trailering package, the payload is 3300 lbs and 20000 lbs, gooseneck 21600 lbs, only flaw i have with my truck is the fact that it doesn’t come with the 8Ft bed, like how the Silverado High Country, that would be awesome and it would compete better with this F250 with the 8Ft Bed
those rims on the limited are beautiful
I love the look of the Ford F250 with the chrome and light blue looks so damn nice. The interior is nicer too imo. I'd be ecstatic with either though.
Awesome review, please review an EXPEDITION TIMBERLINE!!!!!!
Drive an Escalade…or hell, a GMC Terrain, and you’ll never embarrass yourself like this again. ❤
I propose we keep it around the same power, but the trucks become more reliable and ultimately never break?
4A is a game changer but on the other hand there is the selectable rear diff lock you did not mention.
And only 145 000 ?
With the taxes and fees.
What a great deal
Lmao 😂

Regarding the seats, do you think the GM seats will hold up better over the long term due to the firmness?
Not sure about power stroke, but no problem at all with duramax. And we have days with -40*C in Alberta. I plug it in only when drops below-30
18:55 do the Ford seats have a massage option like GMC?
Why don't HD pickups come with 4WD auto except for GM?
Great video. Thx
The gigantic tall grills on the gm’s are just over the top. And you lose vision on top of it which is the worst part
I lean towards GMC looks wise too both trucks are amazing though
GMC all the way. I just ordered GMC 3500 Ultimate.
Who has the best sound system?
In Australia, these trucks will set you back at least a quarter million after right hand drive conversion.
I’d pick the Ford, it looks classy and not gaudy. 👍🏾
I like the Ford but I am a Ford guy, but 975 ft pounds of torque is more than enough.
In my opinion the GMC is a nicer looking truck but there's no way I would ever pay a 100K for any truck.
F-250 and it’s not even close
How come the Canadian dollars move inversely to the US dollars? This is the second time I’ve noticed that.
They shouldn’t. I believe it is a mistake
Maybe it's because some things are more expensive in CA than in US. It may not be a direct conversion.
I used to drive transport trucks, one of the Peterbuilts I had, had a C15 engine (15 litre caterpillar) which I was told made 475 hp, how a pickup truck could have more hp amazes me.
But the c 15 probably had 1500-1800 foot pounds of torque
How much time do you spend on calculating everything to metric
Owned both. Was a Ram guy for 23yrs. Went from 23 Ram 3500 Longhorn HO to 24 Denali 3500. Hated the GMC, kept it for 7mo. The style is great. The interior layout of the cup holders, storage & button layout is terrible a joke. I can't believe no one is talking about the fact that you can't see dedicated DEF guage, turbo boost and EB (exhaust brake is joke) or fact that you have to do weird shift into manual then can't see what gear!
No selectable E-locker in the GMC is a deal breaker.
