It must be a magical time for automakers when their main focus is making things as expensive as possible and its OK because their "competitors" are doing the same thing.
exactly, ha ha. at what point did they decide to focus on building cars for the 1 or 2% of people who can afford or justify this expensive of a vehicle. I paid that much for my first house 15 years ago. I think I'll just stick to the 2000 - 2018 vehicles, new enough, but not all the fancy electronics high prices.
it's extra magical when you count that sweet subscription money.....for a glorified map. Excuse me, trail guide. For an extra $5 a month, your guide can be John Wayne or Morgan Freeman. 2 year subscription required.
Even the original 6.2 raptors in my area are going for 30 K plus and you get a woping 10 to 12 mpg and premium fuel is 4.79 a gallon!!! Lol so even a 20yr old truck is going to run you 1000$ a month with insurance fuel and 600$ a month payment NO wARRANTY

By 2025 all Jeeps will be electrified. That makes total sense. Take a vehicle known for its offroad capability, that will be powered by electricity, to an area with no electricity. Genius!!!
Sorry, Jim, Jeep and Ram have gone off the rails. The JT needs an engine upgrade. Ram HDs are still on the old cab, the Cummins has fallen behind, the 68RFE should have gone away years ago, and the Aisin is completely outclassed. All of this, and astronomical pricing. Even the most loyal customers can't make excuses anymore.
IMO the point of this demo was to test the new video camera in the Cybertruck bumper that is angled down. That hill is so steep a Cybertruck windscreen would reveal blue skies and nothing else. But with the viewing system an inexperienced driver can climb the hill without any vision through the windscreen.
Please use up some 5.7 hemis and put them in it for god sake everybody wants an “affordable” v8 option even if it’s only for 2 years you’ll sell them all
New grill, new wheels, new touchscreen inside…..update complete ✅. The move to not update the powertrain, and they’ll wonder why numbers go down this year….and possibly kill the truck. 🤦♂️
Totally insane. The electric infrastucture can barely get by in limp mode when heat hits. See Texas grid asking people to CONSERVE between 5 and 11pm., They are on their own "grid" persay, but California has same issues. So when can you add the load of all these electric vehicles onto the grid? When it's 70 degrees mean temp year round? This is truly a case of putting the cart before the horse. Additionally, this carbon neutral crap is ridiculous. What mode of power generation will be called upon to supply the grid right now? More impotantly, can the grid DOWNSTREAM of power plants handle it? Just asking for a friend.......
Noticeable improvement. My prediction is that, like Lexus and Acura, the future sussessive iterations will keep narrowing that exaggerated front grill. Expect that to be claimed as refresh down the road.
i love my 2017 colorado ZR2... i just wish i got 4 more MPG in the City. I would have upgrade to the new ZR2, but it is only 1MPG better (not enough for me). Waiting to see what the Yoda can do once MPG is released
I bought the 2023 Colorado trail. Boss with the 2.7 l Turbo and I can tell you. My trailboss has more towing capacity than these over price plastic Jeep piece of crap 7800 lbs of towing capacity off-roading and 4x4😂
In Sales for 35 1/2 years companies seem to have two modes, getting additional market share mode, you make money selling volume, profit mode we’re going to get every penny out of the consumer while theres still a business left, I’m wondering if these companies are looking ahead wondering if they’ll be legislated out of business?
Why not move away from "wrangler" styling and extend the rear (closer to the end of the cab) for the Gladiator to make it more comfortable for rear passengers/cargo ???
Never owned a Toyota. Had Honda sedans, a Nissan Xterra. Currently running a 2 door Bronco. But I’m really liking the new Tacoma over Ford and GM. Home run if Toyota doesn’t over price their Tacos the way Ford and GM are pricing their Rangers and Colorado/Canyons. Shout out to Frontier. Underrated pick up.
If Jeep here in Australia would up the KG's to 3500 instead of 2700 KG's on the Gladiator, I would by one in a hart beat. Peoaple say why don't you buy a Ram, and say I want a Jeep, and plus the base Ram is a 100 grand here😡😡
Amazing how the Ram Rev morphed from the over the top prototype from the NY Auto Show to the actual basically normal looking Ram pickup with battery power. You mentioned Ford pricing, but I don't recall you mentioning the Ram pricing.
Instead of a 11k bumper, Ford should be making more affordable options. Didn't see any Maverick updates or options. I guess they are too busy adding truffles to their big $$ trucks.
Not one actual pickup in the lot of them, only fit for hauling golf clubs..... provided they are carefully loaded so as not to damage some plastic crap on the tailgate of a bed that is too short to be of any real use. Even if one were equipped with an 8' bed, the bed itself would be too flimsy to escape getting bent all to hell inside. Or split/punctured in the case of an aluminum Ford. Seriously, people today have no idea what a pickup is for so manufacturers no longer build an actual truck. Just these glorified four door sedans with a missing trunk lid.
Buy a single-cab XL F150 with an 8-foot bed. Buy an XL F250 with an 8-foot bed. No one is forcing you to buy upscale trucks. Me? I've had nothing but F350 King Ranch trucks for the past 30 years. I need an 8-foot bed and I want a reasonable amount of quiet and comfort.
The Ram REV frame looks really well designed, with only a few awkwardnesses. They will get better at integrating all of the systems into a frame, but as their first EV truck designed from scratch, i can see many advantages. The air suspension will be fabulous, and so will the independent rear suspension. They appear to be ahead of GM and Ford in their design, but i am sure Ford is stealthily building a next gen EV truck platform for deployment once their BLUE OVAL City is cranking out batteries.
The Ram REV incorporates one of the elements that made me love the Lightning so much, it still has a true frame. And it would appear that the battery can still be dropped down relatively easily for repair/replacement.
Jim, I just want to let you know what’s going on at Jeep customer service. I’ve tried calling them numerous times with a promised phone call back within 72 hours without a response. Spoke to my dealership about the issue without any help from the general manager. I have been having problems with defective new parts that are being put on my jeep, and now the dealership will not warranty the part. This is not the Jeep that I remember since the beginning of my journey with your product from 1995. I know Jeep is better then this.
Feel sorry for him. However a great job his team does, the dealerships are working against sales with markups.$$$$$$. I purchased a new 2020 JTR via Costco and it was priced at $750 below invoice.
The Tacoma is going to continue to dominate the mid size market. Even the lower trims look good and they addressed the major complaints of the current gen. Mainly the seating position and power train. In comparison, the Ranger only really looks good in the Raptor trim, and the refreshed Gladiator didn't really address any customer complaints
Tacomas are garbage. Everyone in the offroad community laughs at them. Old, incapable, boring underpowered. I continuously have to pull Tacomas out of the sand & mud. Had to cancel off-road trips because the Tacoma couldn’t keep up. Sad!
4th year in and everyone wants a brand new truck already. Its just not going to happen on a mid sized, medium sales niche truck. They just have the cash to pull all the time. I get it, everyone’s attention span is 7 mins nowadays but come on, the 3.6 is adequate and overall very reliable. Manufacturers have their hands tied when it comes to installing higher emissions engines. They have targets they must abide by and remember they also sell other trucks. I know I will keep my na v6 over these new T4’s with very complex tuning and software. Love my 22’ Mojave
$10,900 for a bumper and a winch that looks like it was bolted on as an afterthought. Who is actually buying this stuff at these insane prices? The bed divider cracks me up too, the bed is only what, four feet long? You really need a divider for it?

Exactly what I was thinking

@@theprfesssor banned? Why would they get banned? what crack are you smoking

Jim for the love of God where is the powertrain update?
Ugh??? They have options...
And why fix what's not broken.
Where are the Hurricane engines, that 3.6L Pentastar is very tired engine.
It will never get the hemi v8 due to epa regulations.

On the other hand, cars have a lot more technology than ever. Surely you don't expect to get all that new stuff for free? Do you?
Why is the Gladiator isn't offered with a Hemi 392?
Or a hybrid Gladiator?
For the same reason the RAM isn't offered with a 1600 ci Cummins diesel, it's just not needed.
Andre is a real professional. He knows the product better than the BIG 🧀 Jim Morris.
Thanks TFL Team.

AEV definitely deserves their props for Jeep innovation. There wouldn't be a gladiator without AEV in my opinion.

You walked right by the Silverado Bison!
great to see there's still a little left in old tech
I was at Fort Ticonderoga yesterday and there was a new, red Colorado ZR2 Bison in the parking lot.

Most jeeps never leave the pavement. For soccer moms, a 4xe makes sense. A hybrid system thst adds torque and milage would improve the offering.
For soccer moms a jeep is small and lacks space. Any hybrid Toyota would be a better option.
