another great and useful tutorial! i once tried to use this in the past and had some trouble so thank you for explaining it so well. i test drove it, it worked well and it was so much easier.
A very useful and informative video tutorial today! I’m going to give it a try! Thank you, Gary! 👏🏻❤️
Really saved me from more years of frustration. Thanks for your help
I just want to thank you for posting this video this morning I’ve been playing with all day.
Excellent help. Thank you
Very useful and helpful, thank you
Great Video and tips
Thanks, I tried a tutorial without a video and I couldn't get it to work. Now it's working!
Thank you so much!
Thank you soooo much, beth
You the man 🖐️ hands down you the best teacher
Thank you sir! 😊
Very helpful ❤
I always KNEW deep down this phone had these smart features. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Thank You
youre lifesaver ♥
Excellent.
This is great! I won’t have to fish around for my reading glasses when trying to see something on the small screen of my phone.
That's awesome Gary! Have you tried using the Back Tap (Settings → Accessibility → Touch ) feature to start reading text?
I haven't combined them, no. Did you try it?
Thanks bunches
super helpful. thanks. I will be losing my voice after surgery and need a way to communicate . much appreciated.
I wish you a swift and blessed recovery Michelle🙏🏽❤
Very helpful. These are options that many of the "I hate auto-correct" people should use. Eliminates mistakes, improves communication - a win-win! Thank you, Gary.
I use this constantly and really like it for Kindle. Do you have any idea how you might implement the actions app to get it to switch for you?
Not sure what you mean. "implement the actions app?"
You can also create a shortcut in assistive touch.
This is exactly what I’m looking how to do. I downloaded an app called actions, but it doesn’t really work. If you see this a year after you posted your original statement lol I would love to hear from you on how you were making it work!
Ty ty ty i be trying to read and drive life safer
I always mess it up when I scroll down and end up pulling down my notifications bar thing pain in the butt
Thank you so much. Any ideas how to get it to read a kindle book to me? It only reads to the end of each page and won’t continue reading unless I swipe to the next page.
That would have to be something enabled in the Kindle app, I would think.
How do you remove this it won't stop
It will always be there and mostly in the way
I turned on the speak control feature just as you’ve demonstrated.
However. I don’t have the [X] to hide the speak controller.
The hand select tool does not work for me either. Whenever I attempt to use it, instead of reading wherever I direct it, the program starts reading at the top of the document.
Perhaps using a different version of iOS?
Is this feature available in Mac ?
If it is then make a separate video 😍
Yes, and more. See ua-cam.com/video/NE0VbLzi-uM/v-deo.html
The dragging from
Top just makes page keep refreshing can someone help me set my phone so I can highlight it and press “speak auto”
How do you change the voice to a different one in ibooks?
I show how to set the voice in this video.
"Hey Google, read aloud". #TeamPixel
A nice feature, but problem is it won’t work for reading Apple Books or Amazon Books out loud. And that’s where I most want to use it!
You can kinda get it working in Books. Switch to scrolling view, then start a selection, then keep scrolling and moving the end of the selection down. Increase the selection to something large, like a chapter, and then tap the selection and select Speak. Not ideal, but it shows that it isn't completely disabled for Books.
For me doesn’t work on safari. And I have 12 pro max.
Works well but it won’t let me scroll down with two fingers I get either Lock Screen or the page drags down
Make sure you start above the top of the screen.
Worked out from the camera area not screen as such
I want to thank you for this well done video. I have trouble reading articles on the iPhone. Your you teachings help seniors like me. Thanks so much
I also don’t understand why they have the option to adjust the voice /pitch super fast and high pitch voice adjustments Who would ever want to hear a voice like that? it’s stupid.
Why does it only work 40% of the time?
It’s so frustrating
how to delete duplicate contacts.... I have 6500 contacts and more then 2500 contacts is duplicate.....how to remove this duplicate contacts
There is a Look For Contacts option in the Card menu. Maybe start there?
@@macmost sir plz make a small video on …. Remove duplicate contacts
@@v4uevents Did you try my suggestion? Other than that, it is just a matter of going through them and cleaning them up. Make sure you know where each contact is located (iCloud, Google, On My Mac, etc) so you don't get confused about that. Then just clean up the mess.
You move too fast for somebody to understand
