How To Listen Along while Reading an ebook in Apple Books app on an iPhone or iPad

In this tutorial I show how you can read an ebook in the Apple Books app on your iPhone or iPad, and at the same time as you listen along to the book with a very natural voice, using Apple's Neural Engine built-in to the device it self that uses neural text to speech. It's really great for comprehension and for reading more books. It is how I read around 50 books a year. It's a really great technique so check out how easy it is to do.

When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.

Just started using these settings - do you ever have issues with the word highlights dropping random letters or briefly highlighting multiple lines? I have a new iPad Mini 6, I wonder if the resolution is causing issues? Not a dealbreaker, just wondering if others have experienced the same. Thanks for the helpful video! Yes I have that too sometimes. I think it’s because the cpu do other things at the same time. I quit the other apps and it seems to get better. But I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker either

Well if you download a book from the web, then you do that as you download any file. No difference.

If you use Apple Books app they sync between your devices on the same Apple account using iCloud. If you activate iCloud sync in the Books app settings then it's totally automatic.

Thanks for suggestions. I’ll try it. The one thing I want to suggest you while reading 50 books per year is try to find a book “how to read books “. That’s more about understanding than the technics. In this technics there is minimal amount of iterations of reading a book, it’s 3 times minimum to get the idea and include critical thinking. I hope you’ll enjoy this book

No it works with all books. It works I Apple Books app and in the kindle app. I think you just have to find the right spot where to swipe with two fingers. It’s an Apple feature. Built into iOS itself.

It’s better to just begin from a specific chapter in the audiobook. This video is not about audiobooks though. It’s about listening to an ebook read aloud using text to speech

It continues where you left of if you use the controls. So if you tap the play button instead it do that. My recommendation though is to have a larger font so that there is not too much text on one page. And you can pause by tapping with two fingers anywhere on the page and tap again to continue
