Just tried this minus the rosemary and thyme just Montreal Steak seasoning and fresh good butter and garlic. Was sceptical at first because in Texas we grill everything! But boy it was mouthwatering good. The only thing I'm worried about now is how to do 3 at a time next time. Thanks for the video definitely helpful.

I tried this and it was unbelievable. It’s like a magic trick. Remember the 80’s movies where the nerdy kid secretly knows karate and kicks the bullies butt and gets the secretly hot nerdy girl after she takes off her glasses and takes her hair out of the bun? That’s what this steak cooking technique is like. I thought the garlic would burn and saw no value in the herbs but followed this recipe and technique to the letter and it was UNBELIEVABLY good and even beautiful to just look at. My wife said it was the best steak she’s ever had including the $50 steak house dry aged ribeye.

This is my favorite method to make my steaks these days although it's a selfish method. My family loves steaks (six of us) and this method only makes one at a time. I've tried two ribeye's in a 12" cast iron pan and it's not as good as one at a time. The grill is still pretty dang good though. Great video!

You left the ribeye cooking longer on the second side than the first side because you were basting. I would have flipped and basted the second side equally. I loved that you gave the cooking time but then you stopped after you flipped onto the second side. Looks like it was a perfectly cooked medium rare. What was the total cooking time from start to finish? What kind of oil did you use - virgin? avocado? I would have cut the slices a little thicker, but that's just personal preference. No need for a thermometer as look as you keep track of the cook time. But looks delicious no matter what. I can virtually last it through the video.

Dang Tommy!! That steak, and about 3 bud lights, and I'd be in heaven!! Great job, look forward to seeing Kevin do his too. Like him, I like to use sous vide with steaks, but when I don't, I like to pan sear like that. The AWS on steak🤔🤔🤔🤔 GENIUS!

This virtually identical to how I cook my steaks when I cook on a skillet instead of a grill. What I like about this method is it works on virtually any good cut of steak. There is a steak called a Chuck-eye steak that you should check out if you haven’t already. It’s basically a poor man’s ribeye. But if you cook a Chuck-eye using this method, believe me, you won’t feel like you bought a budget steak. (Chuck-eye isn’t considered a premium cut the way a ribeye or porterhouse is… but it honestly should be, but the good news that it’s not is the price is low).
