Good overview. One brand I’ll add is WLToys. Note, I’m new to the hobby but after much research and many UA-cam videos, I settled on the WLToys 144010. I know, I know. At 1/14 scale, It’s probably not racing quality but I have to say, I have not been disappointed with this thing. It’s crazy fast, the price was fantastic, it comes with a impressive brushless motor, plenty of upgrade and mod options and overall it’s just been a ton of fun. I enjoyed the first so much I got a second one - different model (1/24 scale) - and it’s also been a blast. Also, Carisma has excellent reviews and similar to WLToys they are excellent price point. I just ordered a Carisma truggy and I’m starting to think the Chinese RC companies are giving the US companies some tough competition. Anyway, just something to consider. 👍
I just bought a Schumacher Cat xls Masami re release from Amain. I doubt I will ever run it. I'm not even sure if I will open the box. I just wanted to own it. Really enjoyed the video and that track looks like a lot of fun.
I'm surprised at how good that kid was at being a marshal (I hope that's the right word for it I'm a complete newbie) Amazing video! Only complaint I have is the camera following the cars is a little too zoomed in and missing it every now and then but yeah otherwise everything is on point, your voice is calming and video quality is great.
Awesome video! I like to run TLR and Kyosho. I like to be different I guess lol. Where is that carpet track located? I go to the clay track in Columbus but was curious in that one.
Hot bodies makes a 2wd buggy, it’s the d216, there is not a lot on these buggies, but I have gotten to drive them along the side with losi, and I will say there handling is amazing, and it does have an easy excess diff, it is extremely durable, and made with good parts. I don’t like how everything has shims to make up for gaps in control arms hubs and any wear part on the chassis. Parts did hold up well until I had to buy them. I broke the rear shock tower and have yet been able to find one on a site that doesn’t have it back ordered. I have only stripped one diff but I was able to buy that. I would say that it is an amazing carpet/turf car. But I have never owned any ae modern buggies, so not much of a comparison.
I haven't raced it yet but my arrma senton sct seems pretty decent. Add a traxxas motor and a upgraded steering servo and ur good to go. Stock chinese motor is only $2 cheaper might as well use the same 12 turn for $25. Just need brushed classes where I'm at to be more than just kids or starters. 🤷🏻♂️
Losi makes so-so carpet buggies! They'd be better off road in my opinion! But they are very convenient to build I agree! Maintenance on the car isn't super great either!
If it's on high grip clay keep the carpet setup (switch to a ball diff or 10k-30k diff Grease)! On loose dirt I would get the best tires that work for that track! Just some suggestions!
Good overview of the different brands, I enjoyed it a lot!
Thanks man.😊
Love the background jazz

I really enjoyed this video. As a guy that prominently races Yokomo both on road and off road I still enjoy learning about other brands.
Your videos should have more views! Great Content
V-roll is on point!

Great vid! Your voice is so calming!
I'm just glad you mentioned tekno. ☺sweet video
If tekno ever decide to make a 2wd buggy, you better believe I'm gonna be on that.

This one is in Acworth. It's called AJC speedway and its open for practice all day every Tuesday. I'm actually there as I write this
I'm looking for this car with particular rear wheels. They split up or closes like stripes depending of the speed does anyone knows it's name?
I'm just here for the music

Hot bodies is becoming more and more interesting every time I look back at them

You can run a brushed motor in a novice class. Those classes are usually a "run what you brung" class anyway

I'm about to test to see how hard it is to turn this carpet car into a dirt car.

@@maxthunder2 It's gonna be on high grip clay. I'm looking to expand my experience. Unfortunatly the closest clay track to me is 2 hours away😅
