Beautiful equipment. Your the best farming UA-camr ever.
I’m always surprised by how many people say they prefer the north farm videos! I’m south all the way! The sheer scope of the operation combined with the unending vastness of the land just makes me giggle like a school girl.
Probably because for most people the north farm is closer to what they see on a daily basis. I had some friends from Germany visit my ranch/farm in Montana a few years ago. I’m just across the border from Mike at the south farm so very similar terrain. I swear they almost peed themselves when they saw the seemingly endless and wide open prairie for the first time.
Me too . For me all his machinery just looks over kill up north but in the South it all looks in proportion
The north farm makes crops. The south we have been watching it not even making seed for 4 long years.
@@clearskiesranch1362you speak from my soul. I am literally a german farmer and i simply get my mind blown by every video, these drills for example couldnt even wing out on some fields here lmao
These places in North America are strange to me, where I live I've never even seen a horizon that isn't covered by trees in every direction. Unless you're at the coast that is. Wide open spaces like these are strange, even the north farm barely has any trees compared to where I'm from.
That field is looking super - from a couple yrs ago, good going! Thanks for sharing Mike.
I hate to say it but every year I most look forward to you start planting the north farm, it feels like the the real show we are here for! It's been awesome watching you build it from nothing! God bless you and your family!
I hope n prayers ur family has a great season ahead !!!
Yes
Dear Leatherman, send Mike a Leatherman to save his fingertip.
Sincerly, Concerned Citizen. 😂
That STX looks so sharp and its rims look almost that they're chromed / polished.
That silver is just so bright 😎
Always have time to watch Mikes videos. Like the real thing. This isnt a test its for real. Glad you got some good rain at south farm.
Love the video Mike especially how you improve the land year by year to make it a productive farm
Man I love that big red tractor.
Must be tired 😂😂😂😂 keep up the awesome work you do with your family and crew Mike
3:15 we got 5.5 inches from that storm here in southern Alberta
Good luck seeding your crops at your north farm Mike and Ashtyn
Thank for the great videos.
May I suggest a multi tool on your belt good sir.
We used to take some seed and chew it and make gum from wheat seed, we used durham. None treated a course.
We are going to nominate you for “Duck Land Lover” award😂😂😂😂. We know how much you love a million water puddles!! 🎉
Great video Mike
Hi dear. I do not know if you have been to DQ in the Fort lately. If you have sorry i missed you because I am at home with a broken right wrist. Been off since March 16th and hope to be back in the middle of June ( I hope ) some of my staff will probably know who you are. Nice to see Ashton and Chapel on the videos ❤❤❤
Been wondering where you have gone, been there many many times! Get well soon 🙂
Wow what big equipment
Pay attention Mike 😂😂😂 Grandpa would Reem me a new one if I missed a pie like that😂😂 love the videos keep up the hard work🤘
Oh boy when I saw Mike using that knife as a screw driver I thought what could possibly go wrong here.😂🤷🏻♂️👍
😆 Right?!
That's a great office to have
Is there any chance you could show us the pits you dug out in your North Farm area for holding snow melts and water? Please? And how the dirt work ended up working please. Thanks 😊❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
I carry a Swiss army knife that’s got screw driver ends etc. it’s saved me eons of miles back to the tool shop
Speaks about 100 acre per load, meanwhile I did like 8-8,6 with our drill when I did wheat. 😅 Well our (now sold) 3 point drill had roughly a 700 kg capacity, unlike these big behemoths.
Hey Mike..when u gonna haul out the rock pile
New betting pool on North Farm? How much of the grain is going to lodge?
80 acres a load?
(Keeping compaction down?) Is the soil peat ground up there? Good drain ditches, luxury...
😆 It does lodge some under the right conditions yes, but I am using the same fertility package as the previous years. Nothing out of normal 🙂
I would prefer to farm the north. Makes more fun to drive.
You should try lithium AA batteries for your remotes and stuff. The batteries will last twice as long as an alkaline battery. They also handle extreme heat/cold well.
A big D11 could make it a nice field 😜
Hello!
How many acres do your family far all together
You need to pack a Leatherman "wave" . They're awesome
Question. Why do the Borg, Seedhawk, seedmaster type drills pull so hard? The biggest reason we not have 800hp tractors. Is it just the cart size or is it the ground engagement also?
I think in an older video he said that the combined tractor, drill and tank weighed around 160,000lb when EMPTY so add all the phos, nitrogen and seed, thats a lot of weight behind that tractor. And putting 24m of spikes 4” into the ground doesnt really help, especially if the ground is tough. I might be wrong on the weight figures, but either way these things are anything but light 😂
Oh i also forgot, the cart has its own brake system that also adds a minute amount of drag. The brakes help slow the cart down on hills so that it doesnt take off tossing the tractor like a toy
great video mike
Mike magnifique vidéo et le tracteur et le semoirs et bien équipés et le guidage est bien 😂😮😅😊
I'm happy with 8 acres/load 😅
Great video Mike! Approximately how many acres do you and your family work every year? If that’s not mine or anybody’s business just forget it! And does that figure change from year to year by leasing and government programs?
Over 50,000 acres
Mike, how did the 'North' farm come to be? How long have y'all owned it? I've followed you well before Ashton and you got married. I always thought you traveled east and west when you moved fields.
Ashtyn is from that area originally and her family still farms up there. Mike and Ashtyn just started buying and renting land and that’s how the north farm came to be
i can feel it ma bones
its goin to be a bumper year?
and that's a knife not a screwdriver mike
or did I miss a joke somewhere?
morning
Your comment on the water run tells me there is water coming off the sand seeps from the neighbors land.
powered by energizer
Mike why don’t you get a back hoe dig big holes in the low spots and Barrie those rocks if you go below the frost line they won’t get pushed up and you fill in the low spots at the same time
When you say only 100 acres left of that field to plant leads me to believe that's a pretty big field
Any grass for seed?
That carpet is a little dirty, Mike 😉🫢
Olfa to the rescue.
Is that your tractor or Ashton's ?
Irish bill went to revel stoke with clarksie. Fuggin chimy Bruh
Mike down here corn country it’s end rows not headlands… these debates can get quite heated. 😂
Headlands with a drill, end rows with a planter.
In my corn country we call them headlands.
@@justincase2830 Ohh… where you from then?
@@crandonborth Southern Mn
@@justincase2830 Ah I see… I farm in eastern central Wisconsin in sand country. I will say it’s kinda nice that we don’t need the center pivots this year. 😆
😂😂😂 mike we have a drill that only take 500kgs of seed
Were is the north farm located
Oi 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍
Maybe you should get yourself a battery powered tractor.
Look like the creek needs tile drainage
👋🏼😎
Why do you unload trailers with the tarps closed ?
They are vented
nothing but the best :):)
At the speed they're unloading, it won't hurt anything; don't have to worry about opening tarps until the chutes are opened more.
100ac. What
Why are you putting so much nitrogen in the field ? Is it a waste of fertilizer esp with the high prices rn ?
Because the current market futures on wheat… there’s money to be made.
@@crandonborth wow 🤯 didn’t realize the payout was that much grander
80 acres on a 1300 bu tank? Wtf
The 1300 bushels isn’t just seed. He’s using most of the capacity to carry fertilizer
Big skip!
I don't like your GPS setup not very accurate layout and travel path drop.
And you call this Farming👎👎
What else would you call it?
It's like plowing snow only bigger and better and warmer.
