My interview is the day after tomorrow. Very nervous, but I am very confident I'm gonna get it.

Lol. Ironically with the horn part, I myself just got out of an interview with a new company involving that line of work. This is definitely a thorough and straight to the point type of job preview video, and thank you to all you Starbucks out there who give all of us out there some of the best cup of brew money can buy, even in times of now literal peril.

I really enjoyed this video and the way you speak! I have an interview on Friday and I’m so nervous. They called me to ask the first round of questions and I think I answered them pretty well. I’m currently a seasonal employee at target and am hoping to put in my two weeks and move to Starbucks!

I recommend calling and asking about the status of your application. Some managers really like the initiative 👍

I got an offer at the interview but they said that HR would call me to discuss my pay etc and I haven’t got a call yet, they said if I don’t hear back by Monday to call the store manager. I was hoping to start as soon as possible but oh well either way I’m just happy to start working again bc the struggle has been REAL.

This video was so helpful and detailed, I felt most of my worries were answered. I applied to 2 locations and haven’t heard back, but at the same time I’m scared that they won’t hire me because I’m honestly not an outspoken person like you, although I feel I can handle a customer service environment, but I’m not fully capable of engaging in a conversation. Do you have any tips on how to be more outgoing and being less shy so that when they do call back I feel less nervous?
Hey thanks so much for your comment!! To be honest, not every Starbucks barista comes in as an extrovert. I have a ton of coworkers who are not that talkative. However, I think you should be true to you and be honest. I would tell the manager, “I am not naturally extroverted but I am willing to grow and develop that skill during my time at this company.” I think they will appreciate the transparency! Also, it can get real crazy with covid going on so just give them a few more days then make a call if you feel comfortable!
Also, when you start working - here’s are some good conversation starters with customers: “do you always get this drink? My favorite is the _______”, “how is your day going?”, do you have any plans for the weekend? “
, “Any plans for the holiday?” Stuff like that! You’ll do great!

How'd it go?
I applied to several Starbucks locations but haven’t heard back from anyone. It has been over 2 weeks on some locations and the most recent has been 3 days. Would you recommend calling and asking for the manager? I don’t want to bother anyone but I really want to work at Starbucks :-(
Hey! Don’t look at it as “bothering” them. It’s part of their job to hire new employees. Look at it as being proactive and persistent! Starbucks is a busy place so it’s likely they just haven’t had the time. I would definitely call the top two Starbucks you really want to work at! Good luck!!!
I had my interview on monday and I think it went good. They sent me a background check to do and it been a couple of days, I havent heard from them since should I call back to them? Or just wait...
Hey!! I think the background check is a good sign! Also, it takes a few days for the background check to come back so I would say give it through the weekend then call! 😊

As someone who has no working experience at all, how could I answer these questions? I really need help!

Don't try to answer with work experience, but life/volunteer experiences. So when they ask about past leadership experience and things like that, you can think about class group projects or volunteer experience where you took on that leadership role
So i called last week to follow up and they said I would get an interview but they would call later in a week to organize it, it’s been almost one week should I call soon?
I would wait the full week and a couple days then call! Starbucks gets super busy!

I had a phone interview yesterday and she asked me a few questions and she told me when we were done that shes calling people around bc theyre gonna start doing in person interviews but she wasnt clear if she would call me back or not or when they'll start the interviews :(

im currently trying to get hired at a certain Starbucks and followed up. I was lucky enough to speak with the store manager and she said she was gonna call back to schedule an interview with but its been 2 days and i still haven’t heard anything byt she did warn me it woukd be hard to schedule one rn due to the holidays amd shes going on vacation but hopefully she calls soon because i really wanna work there!😩🙏🏽
