Watched this yesterday and had my interview today!! I was suprisingly interviewd by three people at once which was intimidating and they said they will be reaching ou from Monday to Wednesday but I got an email saying I was not selected to move forward 😔
Don’t beat yourself up about it! I applied to 7 stores before I got an interview and it was for a store 35 min away from where I lived. Keep looking or try a local coffee shop! Might be more fun and less busy. Best of luck!

@@swetha4844 after i called them, the manager picked up and scheduled me for an interview over zoom. after the interview, i didn’t hear back until about a week and a half later, but the manager let me know that she was really busy and it would take a while to get back. don’t sweat it too much, it took my friends weeks to get an interview after submitting an application. my manager said that she liked me showing initiative and interest in the job by calling

Im binge watching these videos. I have a virtual interview tomorrow at 12pm. Does anyone know what type of questions they ask in a virtual interview? I have like no real job experience but I was the cashier/barista at our school store in high school my junior and senior year. I really hope that’s enough to get the job🥺. This would be my first job.

hey so i had a virtual interview on Monday this week and i honestly think it went really well and the manger said she’d give me a call back, how long should i wait for that call back ?
I would give it a week (maybe even 2 weeks honestly) before reaching out again. November 4th is the winter holiday launch and there is a lot happening hahaha …also with order delays, and everything it’s a lot. BUT I also don’t think it would hurt if you go in and see if you bump into her and just say hi 👋 don’t ask about the hiring process or anything, but just showing your face again could remind her and helps with a lasting impression! 😁👍

I have an interview Monday and i’m kinda stressing 😵💫😭 do you have any tips on what to wear to an interview? and don’t have that much previous customer service experience so I can’t answer my worst experience, do you have any more advice on what i should say. and what questions should i ask them at the end?
Wear business casual, nothing too formal. For worst experience you can talk about and issue with a group project at school or a conflict with a sport team you are in! At the end you should ask them how they started their career at Starbucks!

@@watdavedoes That interview went well. They asked a number of open ended questions. They explained the core values and mission statement of Starbucks. They asked what I know about the company, they dug deep into my school and employment history 😂 overall, interview went good.
That interview was done by the store Manager, they're supposed to call me and let me know when to do the second interview, this one with the HR

How did you memorize all of the drink recipes? Do you have any tips that help you remember them?
There are actually not a lot of different recipes to remember! It’s usually the same portions, just changing syrups or milks. But it does just take time and repetition. I think it helps to focus on either hot bar or cold bar first. Master the drinks for one then move on to the other and master those so it’s not all the drinks all at once. I mean after you make a Frappuccino 100 times in one day you will remember it, trust me haha

@@swetha4844 I never had a telephone interview, always in person. Each time I was emailed for an interview or rejected, it was within a week. I've yet to land that job ANYWHERE but GOD DAMMIT I'm still trying! 😂😂😭

@@watdavedoes , just to update you, so i did my interview today and i brought my resume also just in case. the manager kept my resume and told me how she would call on monday because she had other interviews to do, so she said she’ll call some of us to go forward with the job position. i’m really nervous about that :(.

I have an interview tomorrow afternoon. I like to be very prepared and know what to say so what do I do if I get asked a question I haven't prepared for and don't totally know how to answer it? I can do situational questions like "what happens if a customer is unhappy" but not very well with the "tell me a time when..."
*And it's my first real job (I'm 16) so I don't really have much past experience with customer service except volunteering

Pick a few times when you didn’t know how to do something and respond with I asked for help and I followed the instructions very clearly, I read lots of info on my “problems” if that makes sense? It’s definitely nerve wrecking

Talking with customers gets easier with time but it’s hard for everyone at the start, even people with a bunch of confidence! Like all things it just takes practice. As for the interviews start thinking about the questions I mentioned in the video and if you don’t have a good answer in the moment that’s ok too! Just smile and be friendly and throw whatever out there. Be yourself and I am sure you will get the job! You got this! 🥳
Hey I'd love to apply but I don't have any prior experience other than my small buisnesses I own. My friend siad its not a good ideah to mention its my own buisness because they may think " well if they're a buisness owner why aren't they making enough money" and mabey question whether or not they should hire me. How should I word this? I really want to be hired since it's one of the only jobs I can apply to around here.
Definitely mention it! Business management skills are very important, especially in a shift supervisor roll. They would love to have someone with that experience on their team!
Today was my first ever interview in starbucks. Interview experience was quite good. I Don't have work authorization card. They said they hired me but for the authorization card they can't give me a official permission for work. When I get my work permit then let them know. And call them. After work authorization card they'll hire me and give me the permission.
Now I Don't understand are they hired me or rejecting me???
i think they're intrested but if you arent legally alowd to work yet, get the authorization and then give them a call back to see if the position is still open for you

Yeah, they should be able to conduct online interviews! (Since a lot of things are moving online now) they might just have questions about your start date if you can’t meet in person for the interviews

It’s pretty difficult to move up past shift supervisor because there can only be 1 store manager per store. So you would have to just wait for a manager to quit or get fired lol. I’m thinking this job is just temporary but I am really really enjoying it!

Don’t go too fancy. I wore a button up and jeans to my interview. Definitely look put together but don’t let your outfit outshine your personality! Good luck! 👍

Formal or casual work. I wore sold black Nikes because they fit the barista dress code haha (stay away from solid white shoes…not in Starbucks dress code)

Well, there are hour restrictions for minors so if the store is looking for a full time worker over part time, it could make it more difficult to land a job BUT definitely still possible! We had several minors who worked at my store! Just try to find a store that is looking for a less full time position but you are doing the right thing applying to a bunch of different locations! Usually they will call you but if you don’t hear anything in about a week I would go into the store or call the store, just being nice and asking if your application has gone through yet!

I didn’t know how to make drinks either when I first got hired! I actually didn’t even like or drink coffee and they hired me haha just bring a smile and good attitude and you will get it!

Hiring event is just when they set a day to interview with a bunch of people. Turn on the charm and make sure you stand out! Be personable, ask them about how they got started with Starbucks. Make a connection that they will remember or you will be lost in the crowd 👍

every video i watch about interviewing says they wont hire you if you're not outgoing and i have an interview tomorrow and i have terrible social skills ugh. the workforce is not accommodating to people like me at all lol

It could be the timing too and not something you are doing wrong. There tends to be a lot of applications before summer starts
