@lucaselaine That is what I like to know also, it’s like the guard lost their voice, they are petting your horse and is not doing anything about it. I really have respect for the Kings Guard and horse, Thank You For Your Service but these animals don’t have to follow rules which makes my blood boil. What is London coming too this is really showing all these Countries what really counts, that is you are from Kuwait, Japan, China, Jews, Muslims, Christen’s, that you can get away with anything. Those folks are urging the horse to bite and hurt them so they can file a complaint and sue. Those folks are very opportunistic and will use every occasion to their advantage. The Japanese and South Koreans are safer and more honest of their intentions.
Under these circumstances they wouldn't be suing the Ministry of Defence they'd be suing the Crown and they'd lose hard. If they want to waste their money trying they're more than welcome.
Poor horse could get really sick with every person touching and letting it lick thier hands. The germs they are spreading. The guard has so much patience. I would be shouting at them all the time. I know it is a beautiful animal but use your brain people.
This guard did absolutely nothing to enforce the new rule, no need to shout just say NO. All he did was make himself look like a fool with that sign next to him. It's very disturbing that they have been given the opportunity to stop this behavior and most of them are choosing to look foolish instead. Just unbelievable.

That's your opinion, and I respect that. It doesn't make one of us right and the other wrong. It's simply my opinion, and I'm pointing out something blaringly obvious. I guess I care more about the horses than I do the tourists, so I was so excited when the new rule went into effect. And then seeing the guards seemingly ignoring it, drives me nuts! The only thing his boss should have said, is to follow through with the assignment. He shouldn't care about what others say. He's grown. He'll be fine.

Why do the guards allow tourist to bother the horses? They rarely do anything... that gives everyone the idea that it must be ok..the gaurds rarely make a big deal out of anything...
I think they were told to not shout unless it's a serious safety issue. I suspect it is because of all the UA-camrs standing there waiting for a horse to bite and the guards yell. The higher ups don't want to be portrayed in a negative manner on UA-cam. I think they want to bore the UA-camrs so they will give up and go away.

Yes I have thought about ŵhat the guards must endure...and the horses. I have read about their lives as gaurds...probaby a lot more to it than I know anyway. I get so angry at the disrespect shown them many times. I just happen to see the video when I was in a part in a particular mood I guess...lol...I've wanted to leave comments many times. I will admit that I don't understand All the things that go on in that area of life...the rules and regulations and traditions of the various personal.... So I should not comment. I heard the Guard tell one boy not to touch the horse but then loads more people touched the horse and the Guard said nothing to them as annoying as it may seem they all have to do the same thing and keep telling people not to touch the horses I definitely think they need to put another sign up either side of the arches then tourist’s can see it whichever side they stand

Just replace the "Guards" with mannequins since the "Guards" are not guarding or protecting their horses! Hang some balloons out front, bring in a Fish and Chip Vendor and sell soft drinks to the tourists since they run the place and might as well make them comfortable! So sad to see how clueless the Brits have become!

I used to admire that guard but since the no touching rule came into effect and he says/does nothing I lost all respect for him and I hope and pray that horse guards demotes him from being a box man.

Well, it’s back to being a petting zoo….and guards don’t care or they’re sleeping on the job and they don’t care. Something sneaky is going on. Perhaps those signs were put up for our benefit, to appease us. It does the opposite because now I am questioning the brightness of the guards.
