    Nice review of the gun. Didn't know it had a blowback feature on it. Now comes the most difficult part of getting this gun.........saving up the money to buy it.

    Agreed, two QD mounts would be ideal. Good to know about the rear "QD" mount. I'll attempt to follow up with EF and see what's up with that. I would think it wouldn't be too difficult to make that operational.

    Correction - Just to let you know the rear mount is not QD. You will need some 550cord to loop knot through it to set up a sling mount. I picked up a velcro strap for wrapping around the frame (several companies like zahal make them or just rig it yourself) just behind the rear sight which to me has a much better balance for mounting a single point sling in my opinion. Youd need to pick up something else to use in conjunction with the rear mount if you want to go dual point.

    I haven't picked up a sling for my Tavor yet but I would recommend a single point sling that can connect directly to that rear QD mount.

    Absolutely, the bullpup format gives you some great handling characteristics not available with standard ar o ak variants. Furthermore the ease of access to the internal parts and quick change spring make upgrading and swapping from cqb to field velocities a snap.

    No the piston makes one complete revolution on each pull of the trigger (on semi auto) meaning it starts and ends in the forward position. The nozzle is what moves back and forth allowing bbs to enter the firing chamber and it moves in conjunction with the piston. Hitting the bolt release allows the piston to move to the forward position.

    I used a small format 9.6 nunchuck battery. A standard shaped battery would work as well.

    Sucks this doesnt come with the front sling mount behind the charge handle like the ARES or the real steel. I still love mine though

    I had done a bit of research and the EF elite model is a direct import of the S&T professional EBB version (the one I have) which was until now asia stores only. S&T didnt put the front sling mounts on neither the explorer version or their pro version, and if the EF ones are direct imports yeah it'd be S&T to fault. The rear mount though is spec'd right from the real steel though. IWI had something in mind I guess with using such an unconventional sling mount hole.

    What type of sling do you use for your Tavor? Just got mine in the mail.

    Does it work when you click the first shot the piston locks back then the second shot brings it forward firing the gun. Then by hitting the bolt release it puts the piston to rest?

    Awesome video and very well in depth review of the gun. I'm still on the fence about getting one myself I like the gun and love the fact it takes standard m4 mags I have about 7 mags (2 hi cap and 5 140rd midcaps by elite force.) I just want to know is it worth it for the price you payed for the gun?. Also blackhawk has a sling adapter that you can wrap around the stock or close to the rear sight. I hope if I get it it is compatable with my 1 point bungee sling.

      I do feel the gun is well worth the price. I'm still getting used to the bullpup configuration but the short overall length really can't be beat. You can also make a sling mount with a short length of strap and a buckle. I can make an article on that if there's an interest.

      Sure sounds good I may get the competition one to see how I like the gun first then move to the elite after a while can it take a lipo battery right out of the box?

    • @TheMilsimPerspective
      @TheMilsimPerspective  10 років тому

      Frost Airsofter
      You might just save up for the Elite version - the Competition level gun is made from ABS plastic (like Walmart guns) while the Elite level is made from nylon fiber (what real guns are made from). It also has higher quality internals. Both are 7.4 lipo ready but would need to be modified to take an 11.1. That said, if you get the Competition Tavor and want the longer barrel that comes with the Elite hit me up :) I'll trade you for it.

      I got about 6 guns I use for airsoft lol I want to try and sell off some so I can put it towards the elite version I have some ideas both external and internal for it lol if I do get the tavor comp and don't like it I'm more then willing to trade

    I'm also a lefty shooter, I heard in your video that you were trying to get the selector switch moved to the other side. How is that coming along? I wanna get that done to mine (when I purchase it) because when I held it the selector switch got on my nerves kinda pointing me in the hand.

    • @TheMilsimPerspective
      @TheMilsimPerspective  10 років тому

      Actually, not very well. I will most likely have to get a new part machined as the included selector switch appears to only be able to go in one way. That said, my Tavor is still in testing so I'm going to hold off on opening it up until that is over.

      Ok thank you for the information. If you could give me a update for whenever you get the selector moved to the other side?

    • @TheMilsimPerspective
      @TheMilsimPerspective  10 років тому

      Absolutely, when I'm done testing I'll be posting a full length review on themilsimperspective.com as well as any updates with the left handed switch project.

    Is the whole upper part metal?

    • @TheMilsimPerspective
      @TheMilsimPerspective  10 років тому

      No, the rails and front sight are metal but the upper (black) portion is plastic.
