    Very informative!!!. You focused on teaching us how to use V Flats not selling V Flats. I rather see videos like this to understand simple photography rather hearing 90% of the video how great the V Flats are... Again Thank you very much. I rarely make comments on videos I watch but this one DESERVES A BIG THUMBS UP!!! KEEP IT COMING.

    Love your technique for getting an even coloured background firing gelled flash into two V flats. Getting an even exposure across the background is near impossible shooting directly at it. Thanks 😊

      My pleasure! That is a super difficult thing to do, and v flats are super helpful for getting even color across the back drop.

    Great video, Spyros! I need to look at your making v-flats video, because I started to make one, but couldn’t get the cut-down 4x8 sheets down into my basement studio! Duh!

    Better late than never but been getting into my lighting a lot more with video and always looking for different methods for different needs.
    Just learned about booking lighting then during part of that heard an off the cuff remark about flat v lighting... hold on what's this??
    Lol similar approach to book lighting but you don't need the stands soooooo. I'm making some tonight. Great vid btw

    Excellent advice. I am going to try this. I have been using foam core board, but one one piece at a time. This way is more user-friendly as you don't have to worry about finding something to lean the v-flat against to hold it up. I assume that you would PhotoShop out the seam on the white background.

    • @spyrosheniadis
      @spyrosheniadis  5 років тому

      Awesome!!! Yes, if the seam shows up in the image, I'd photoshop it out. You can light it in such a way that you blow the seam out too. :)

      Thank you! Those are the Godox AD200 lights. I’ve been using them for about a year now, and I absolutely love them. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new strobe option

    Great ideals, got a question about your color gels. Where did you get them I am having trouble finding some that fits on the bigger AD200 head.

    • @spyrosheniadis
      @spyrosheniadis  5 років тому +1

      I got them from Amazon. These cover up the AD200 nicely: amzn.to/2T7tNI1

    How do you support the V Flat in front in between the umbrella 3:34

    • @spyrosheniadis
      @spyrosheniadis  5 років тому

      What you see at that point is the outside of one side of the v-flat. The support is the other side of the v flat, which wasn't visible due to the angle of the camera. So the v flat was just standing open.

    I didn't hit thumbs down cause you have none so far but dude that clapping is EXTREMELY annoying

    • @spyrosheniadis
      @spyrosheniadis  5 років тому

      This video was a bit of an experiment as far as format/style goes, and the overwhelming response is that the clapping is a no go, which is why it’s the only video I’ve made this way. 😊
