Saw Frankie in Boston just the other day on March 23rd. What an amazing night it was. I took my Mom and my wife. I'm still blown away by the show. It was fantastic. It was an honor to have witnessed him still doing his thing 60+ years later. Been a fan my whole life. I gotta tell you, the kid still got it. Great times.
In about the mid ‘80s, I worked as a banquet beverage manager. For New Years Eve we had a package deal for overnights guests. It involves my crew and bartenders setting up over 20 mobile bars, 6 in the main ballroom, every private suite in the hotel, etc. I didn’t even know who the band for the ballroom main event. I was busy setting up the ballroom bars, and the band was onstage setting up to do their soundchecks. I had my back to the stage. They were powering up. They suddenly broke into Sherry, and the hair on my whole body stood up- I was speechless. Completely blown away at how great they sounded. I’ll never forget it.

I was already loving this video but when they segued into Ragdoll I was so moved by the beauty of it I broke down into tears. Yes, tears literally streamed down my face because I was overwhelmed by the sweet harmony of their voices and the sweet, poignant lyrics and melody of Ragdoll. Gossip had it that he would always start a conversation with strangers about backup singers as he was immensely paranoid that he would need to replace one. What an interestingly gifted man.
+Jed Lahaman I got to see them live in about 1967 or 1968, from the 4 th row of a concert hall. It may just be this recording, but they were distinctly better when I saw them. At that time, they were just "The Four Seasons." The " concert hall" was the converted basketball court of the little University I attended then : Tennessee Tech. On the fourth row, you got to see the sweat on Frankie's face, as he put so much into singing. It was a great night. The University is half way between Nashville, and Knoxville which must have been the reason we were able get them to perform at such a small venue. Seems like it lasted two hours with a break in the middle. It was awesome. The drawback, is today , I'm an old man looking at 70 years old soon. Those guys were great.
Saw em at the Starrett City Brooklyn site playing "on the grass" , from maybe 20ft. / just a few "rows" back , they played everything - no lip sync , and all the high notes , an unforgettable treasure .

I've watched this... gosh.. 50 times.. I just love them.. gosh to see them live I bet was a treat.. such tallent... that voice.. Dawn.. and Don't you Worry about me are my 2 favorite songs by them.. just amazing..!!
Great performance. They are singing wonderfully and those Thunderbird guitars have that quintessential early 60s rock sound. The Rag Doll harmony is so heavenly and poignant. And last but not least Bob Gaudio is pumping it on the organ.
I was a 9 year old In McKeesport, Pa. in 1962 when I first heard Sherry. From that day on, I couldn’t get to the record store fast enough when they released a new song on a 45 rpm. I took my girlfriend (now wife) to see them live at the old Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh late in 1971. I was fortunate enough to get front row center seats for what was one of the best live shows I have ever seen. When Frankie Valli did Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, he sang part of it directly to my 17 year old girlfriend and I still tell people about that today. Nick Massi was gone by then and Joe Long was on bass, but the other 3 originals were still present. A truly great memory.
I saw a tribute of the four seasons on a cruise and with my family growing up loving Frankie Valli, i had to check out all of their music. Some of the best music i've heard in a long time. Love this kind of style.
I was just at Frankie Valli’s concert the other night in Radio City and Bob GAUDIO made a special appearance!! He walked right by me and I got to say hi and meet him!! Such a cool experience

Outsiders basically and i knew one of them that controlled Franks mic that night..He was left baffled by the experience...... lets just say Franks a gangsta..lol
Went to see him at the Royal Albert Hall in June (2022) while in England visiting family. At the unbelievable age of 88, he had us all on our feet, we just wanted more from this amazing vocalist
I’m 26 and I can’t find anyone my age that loves them or even knows of them. I love them so much. Listening to them since I was a child. Their music makes me cry happy tears.
Ragdoll holds a special place in my heart. I cry every time I hear it, not just because of the poignant lyrics, but because it’s the most hauntingly beautiful song I ever heard.
you can imagine a young shy Brian Wilson bursting to sing in alto and Frankie not only showing it can be done , but with complete conviction confidence and masculinity some real talent on display here
I saw The Jersey Boys last night (10/17/2018) in Amarillo, Texas. They did a truly great job of honoring the fabulous Four Seasons in both their music and storytelling. Born in 1951, I grew up listening to this type of music and, last night, the hair stood up on the back of my neck just like it did a half century ago. Those were the days when some of the greatest music in the world was created. Those were the days when real talent was on display. I am very grateful that I got to live the real thing decades ago and relive it last night. The Four Seasons were the greatest!
Fantastic. I am 69 now but I remember these songs from my childhood. Rag Doll makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. What talent these guys had. Frankie Valli had one hell of a voice. Nobody else sounds like him.
Remember working as a venue crowd controller back in the early 1970s in Washington, DC when the Four Seasons appeared. As a Haitian young man I found the gig very interesting. 🎶🎵🎼🙂😉😀
I can remember my mom listening to this when I was a little girl, brings back precious memories. Frankie had such a unique voice and the group just harmonised great together. Glad I got to see this. Thanks

Nick did most of the arrangements. After 1965 when he left I think it was Gaudio.

Didn't Valli say that Nick had an eight-octave range?

villi valkili
I lost my count!!
They were just in Miami last week, I missed them unfortunately
add one more to the count
It was EUPHORIA to see and hear them live!!!
Great performance. They are singing wonderfully and those Thunderbird guitars have that quintessential early 60s rock sound. The Rag Doll harmony is so heavenly and poignant. And last but not least Bob Gaudio is pumping it on the organ.
There's is no comparison to how amazing these guys are fantastic harmony they are the best love them girl from iowa
Man, life was so good in those days! Lord take us back to where the days were simple and loving!
It's 2021..anyone else listening?
Always 😍😍😍
🌈72 years old in San Rafael on my patio on Smith Ranch Road thinking back to my childhood in San Francisco🌈
Absolutely incredible ❤ my father taught me about Frankie Valli when I was a little girl we don’t have singers like him anymore 😢
The real Jersey Boys!!! ❤❤❤❤.Memories
I saw a tribute of the four seasons on a cruise and with my family growing up loving Frankie Valli, i had to check out all of their music.
Some of the best music i've heard in a long time. Love this kind of style.
How I wish we as a society could go back to days like this, so simple and normal 😢
Where racism, misogyny, and homophobia were far more prevalent? No thanks
I was just at Frankie Valli’s concert the other night in Radio City and Bob GAUDIO made a special appearance!! He walked right by me and I got to say hi and meet him!! Such a cool experience
It's so amazing to see these lads singing and playing their instruments LIVE like this! Thanks so much for posting it.
Met Frankie about 20 years ago backstage at one of his shows. Nice man and great well produced show. All the bells and whistles. At the time he was using in house sound guys. Outsiders basically and i knew one of them that controlled Franks mic that night..He was left baffled by the experience...... lets just say Franks a gangsta..lol
Please tell me more, have always loved his performance and voice.
I fell in love with these guys as a teen and now as a grandmother, they still melt my butter!
One of the greatest rock groups. Nick Massi's bass playing, vocal arrangements and bass vocals played a significant role in the band's sound.
I'm fourteen but I listen to the Four Seasons all the time. These guys have more talent then most people today who are famous for singing.
Went to see him at the Royal Albert Hall in June (2022) while in England visiting family. At the unbelievable age of 88, he had us all on our feet, we just wanted more from this amazing vocalist
I get a crick in my neck watching Bob Gaudio perform with his head 90 degrees sideways the entire time! But Bob and Frankie are the best.
Amazing voices, all of them, wow!! They make it look easy!!
This is the greatest group to come out of that era. They had the most incredible arrangements and difficult harmonies.
I’m 26 and I can’t find anyone my age that loves them or even knows of them. I love them so much. Listening to them since I was a child. Their music makes me cry happy tears.
I’m 27 & I love the music as well
I'm 21 love the music
Ragdoll holds a special place in my heart. I cry every time I hear it, not just because of the poignant lyrics, but because it’s the most hauntingly beautiful song I ever heard.
you can imagine a young shy Brian Wilson bursting to sing in alto and Frankie not only showing it can be done , but with complete conviction confidence and masculinity
some real talent on display here
What a performance, the four of them, simply singing,no daft body movements, obviously well enjoying themselves
Sheer Class
Nice clip of The 4 seasons before they were Frankie Valli and The 4 Seasons. Love all the songs!! Have been listening to them sense I was little!!
I saw many singers/groups back then, but, unfortunately, not these guys. They are truly great, and wish I could have.fantastico
Remember working as a venue crowd controller back in the early 1970s in Washington, DC when the Four Seasons appeared. As a Haitian young man I found the gig very interesting. 🎶🎵🎼🙂😉😀
This is an excellent group with great harmony! All of their songs are great and Rag Doll is my favourite.
I just gotta say how brilliant all of these band members are playing and singing especially to Rag Doll, my personal favourite
I can remember my mom listening to this when I was a little girl, brings back precious memories. Frankie had such a unique voice and the group just harmonised great together. Glad I got to see this. Thanks
It's 2024 anyone still listening.?
Yes, I am.
Me! Can’t get enough of the four seasons!
Yes absolutely. I’m 24 and I love this music. Just discovered the earlier four seasons music and I can’t get enough.
Wish I had seen them live
youtube is great..... always heard these guys in the background throughout my life wherever I went, but just appreciating the hell out of them right now !!!!!!!!!
Im 49 but this takes me back to a simpler time, spending weeks at my grandparents. The fact that this is live and not lipsyncing is amazing.
Loved them then and love them now. Amazing how the years have gone by! Thanks for this video.
I watched Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at the Roostertail supper club in Detroit Michigan many many years ago! It was awesome
And that's why the 4 Seasons survived the British Invasion. They had a sound like no other.
Them and The Beach Boys
@@user-gd7kn1qq6n Yes but being from the Northeast .... we leaned towards the 4 Seasons. What the hell did we know about surfing ? lol :o)
Frankie's concert in Greenville, S.C. last week was simply amazing. What a crowd pleaser. Thank you Frankie for all of the great memories.
Absolutely love Franki Valli. My childhood was built on his music.
3:20 a voice like this can truly bring a man to tears
16 years old and still love this music so much more than anything that's put out now
So young, but you chose wisely.
Same this is my favorite rather than any rap song I just love this and the musical jersey bits is great too
These dudes are impressive I sing their song at school everyday I’m not afraid these guys showed any voice is good they my favourite singers RIP nick Massi he’s about 100 now love you four seasons
I HAD THE PLEASURE TO PLAY WITH NICK MASSI IN THE 70S. WHAT A GUY.
+tony castellanos And they were never the same...or as good after Nick left in 65.
