I have been wanting to buy an Edwards guitar for like seven years now! Basically a higher quality LTD guitar that’s built in Japan for a more affordable price! My friend ended up buying a barely used, basically brand new Edwards E-M-II a year ago for $1000 canadian and i was blown away by the quality of it, you really can’t get much better than that for the price!

It's more Navigator that does that . Edwards does more ,like signatures and all that ESP does .

You should look into Dir en grey Die signature 7 string too. It is Edwards E-DR-II-7st 27 scale length. Really wanna see you try it in the future.

When you swapped around the pots, did you take note of what the pickup routing is like beneath the pickguard?
I had the chance to mess around with one of these as BIGBOSS in January this year and fell in love with the guitar, but I was thinking if I ever bought one to get a custom HSS pickguard made and some Lollars.
also the staff at BIGBOSS was incredible, they were willing to get Ohmura himself to sign it as he was coming into the shop over the next few days to film some instructional videos. I unfortunately was unable to buy it, I was worried about bringing the guitar all the way back with my connections, but seriously they were fantastic at BIGBOSS and ESP Guitar Workshop.

Edwards and E-II are basically the same level of high end/quality. If I’m not mistaken they’re also both made in Japan. E-II used to be the ESP standard series but they renamed it. Basically ESP stock models compared to their $2-3k ESP models

I own that exact guitar and its so good. Also own another Edward's Alexi in pink and its amazing. Edward's guitars are amazing bang for buck
I have an Edwards Alexi Laiho. It's my favorite guitar our of the other 6 I own (Solar, Ltd, Ibanez). Sounds great, plays great, stays perfectly in tune. Bought on Ebay, delivered in 3 days from Japan, with very low taxes on it (something like 3 or 6%, don't recall). 10/10!
I have two Edwards LP style guitars. Had them shipped from Japan to Canada. They are fantastic!

for everyone looking for a banger Les Paul Custom or Alexi Laiho signature, I can only recommend Edwards; good shit~
Not only that but also some actual more exotic shapes - can't get better bang for your buck than with Edwards. I love my Crying Stars and my Anchang Star, can't recommend them enough

Its a dope guitar. Id be happy with the purchase as a "one time exclusive to the country i may never get back to" souvenir. Its one youll play and get more use out of than a thousand trinkets 🤷 keep slayin

Will you try Cort? They make pretty good guitars for a good price. I have their 8 string multiscale with Fishmans and its sweet
I just picked up a KX507MS on sale for $600 brand new. Great guitar, also came with the fishmans.
i’ve been wanting to try a Cort for a long time since i heard that they make alot of the guitar bodies, necks and parts in house and send them to alot of the bigger name guitar brands they are partnered with like Ibanez, Schecter, Fender, Ernie Ball Music Man etc, they just slap their brand on it and charge extra, so it sounds like it’s kind of a no brainer to just buy a Cort for a more affordable price since it’s basically the same as the guitars from the brands they are partnered with.
@@lordcuddlebuttz3336 Exactly! I have Cort KX508MS II. Got it for under 900 euros. 26,5" - 28" multiscale, 5 piece maple neck, beautiful poplar burl top, locking tuners and 9 string Fishmans. Thats at least 500 euros cheaper than big brands with similar spec. Really happy with it

Every old ESP / LTD user know Edwards . For me it's just under ESP standard in terms of quality but pretty close .

Takayoshi Ohmura is in my opinion one of the best guitarists there are. I wish I could afford one of his signature models, but having them shipped to EU as well even for used ones is just way too much. One day, I'm going to get my hand on one of those (^^)

But for real, they can be found real cheap in Japan. Especially if used. I had an Edwards LP that made me sell 3 Gibsons. And before anyone shits on me for the Gibsons, those were an good ones. But the Edwards felt and sounded better for a fraction the price

Most Edwards are not made in China. Only the lowest end models are MIC then sent back to Japan. Almost all Edwards are made in Japan at the ESP factory. If you ever get the chance to tour the factory I'd recommend doing it! You can see them from start to finish side by side with E-II(E-II will have a piece of tape saying Hi END)
I’ve been getting conflicting information on this - most sources seem to state that they’re made in a ESP owned factory in China though
@@BaenaCarcosa You can see for yourself in the most recent factory tour video here on UA-cam(you can see the rough bodies without necks shaped/carved next to the "HI END" E-II models being made.
ESP makes A LOT Edwards models so a lot are made in China, but those are only the lowest end models(like the E-LP-92SD for example). When I visited their factory pre-covid all of the signature models and anything with nitro(the vast majority of their models) were 100% MIJ.
