Mick did an unreal, unmatchable job with 2016 and Eternal, but i can't give Andrew enough credit, he slipped right into the biggest shoes and they fit snugly.
This DLC made Doom Eternal's normal campaign look like a tutorial. And part of the reason it was so enjoyable was the awesome new soundtrack. Awesome cover !

When I saw Hulshult was taking the helm I knew it was going to be good. I've been a fan of his work for a few years now especially his work on Dusk. Great cover Andrew you nailed it.
I am really at a loss for words how little standards the metal community actually has. Hulshults stuff is repetitive and boring compared to Mick Gordons. He comes awful close at a few seconds of reclaimed earth and Davoth the dark lord. Pretty much all the others are just hitting the open string and then some randomized chords to cover up his lack of creativity and effort.
@@baronhelmut2701 I'm really at a loss for words at how stupid you sound. You've clearly not listened to much of his stuff, and clearly they aren't random chords since they harmonize and flow into one another, despite the fact they shift time signatures and progression rhythms as smoothly as they do. Listen to alienation akimbo and the the frozen void. They sound completely different and give off different atmospheres and sounds. Quit pretending you know anything about music, kid.
What about that Holt Slayer gate ;) I’m convinced that the master levels that have come out for the main levels, both modded and not, are how the base game was meant to be played if the game didn’t need to introduce you to the mechanics and give you the weapons along the way.
@EdgeIsBetterThanDanielBryanAndAllNJPWGuysI’m just now starting nightmare and wow, some fodders melt damage so easily. I’m currently on cultist base and boy it sucks not having the SSG yet.
idk if it was blood swamps gate or the holts gate but at one point i had 4 fucking archviles and a possessed marauader. that DID NOT feel like a cooldown lmfao i was stressed
It sounds more raw than Mick and I love it, I would miss those techno gibbing by Mick, but guitar sound is a guitar sound, timeless. Lets hope David Levy could pull more of the techno stuff next if he has more time.
Since Mick Gordon is no longer going to make music for future Doom games, we should make a petition for Andrew Baena to make music for future games (and other youtube guitarists)
My favorite Doom cover so far. Super heavy and on the longer side of the doom songs. Of course every video with the words “Andrew Baena” and “Doom” in it’s title has proven to be great.
I like how each realm has its on respective music, hell is the pure raw metal and Earth has been a mix of electronic and metal and urdak is purely electronic. Super fookin cool
1:07 .... jesus christ thats gotta be one of the HEAVIEST headbangers ive heard in a fat minute.. big up to doom, n awesome cover of the song my guy, i about broke my neck lol
I`m really surprized that this comment is still unnoticed/Unanswered by Andrew. I hope he`d really do that. It`ll be so much pleasure to hear. This cover ROCKS! I`ll go listen for some meshuggah, i`m fucking inspired!)
Why on Earth would you take a perfectly good song, chop it up, and cook it to absolute glorious perfection? For the people who don't understand jokes, this is one of those. It's really f*cking good.
I can tell you love playing these tasty riffs, its fun to watch haha. Although the riffs in this song are pretty simple but they hit hard as f***. Thanks again for another filthy shred 🤘
Damn, they went all out metal with this one didn’t they haha. First time hearing any of the new tracks. I’m totally diggin this, it’s a lot different than the other stuff.
Proud to have been Andrew’s Hulshult’s guitarist for 5 years. Happy to see he is still kicking ass in the music gaming world. Great cover to man! Keep up the great work!
