If I didn't use that much tape the tap wouldn't have lined up as solid when straight. This was the second attempt at replacing this outside tap as the first attempt didn't line up the way I like it so I added more tape. Different outside taps need different amounts of PTFE tape as these backplates can be fitted at any angle.

Takes me longer than three minutes to get tools from my box.
You can do it without any tools most of the time.
Way too much Teflon tape, only need about 3 wraps.
3 wraps would leak 100% and the tap would be virtually horizontal, what a moron!
