would it be to much to ask for you to lower the volume and give a brief rundown of exactly what your doing and what tools/spray you are using? i just started at a body shop a couple months ago im still cleaning cars an scotchin bumpers but i wanna know more that way i already have an idea your shop is awesome btw very nice equipmemt.
Hey bro great footage I'm trying to learn auto body on my own by watching videos like this however before you spot weld the panel onto the car did tack weld it first???
He doesn’t. He places a lot of clamps on the panel and then starts spot welding. He doesn’t show it in this video but on other videos you can see the clamps
How long did job take, start to finish? I have a similar issue. 4 door 2007 Toyota Corolla panel crushed into trunk. No damage to rear door or trunk lid. Rear fender cover also damaged. Insurance is totaling car as they say 60 hours of labor. Sounds high but not an expert.
I am currently replacing the same side quater panel on a 2022 honda pilot I bought. It has roof damage that caused the damage there. If you have one the same as mine I would appreciate that you share a video. I am running into some unknowns.
1:08 i hate finding those big chunchs of foam that they love sticking behind panels...drives me nuts! Nice place to hold moisture and rot everything out
You did a fantastic job on this quarter! Now a question for ya... At 1:38 why do you use a backer when installing the quarter panel? Are you not affraid of that being a spot for moisture to collect, possibly causing rust in the future? I understand the backer to keep everything flush...i butt weld those areas, but that also is a risk, because if a pinhole gets left behind, id also have a place for moisture to bubble out the surface. And im asking because im truely interested! I always like to find out if maybe another way of doing something could benefit the way i do a repair. Love your channel, you do some great work! Keep it up
and that discouraged me of fixing my rusty rear quarter panels. awesome job, didnt think it required so much work
You have no idea how much work goes into refinishing a vehicle properly
It's honestly not that bad. You just need to have the right tools and practice.
Me personally I don’t care how much work it takes. For me it’s the tools man😓
😮
Excellent work Kyle! This is super helpful.
Wow you replace the panel, prime it,cover the car and get it ready for paint ?Respect man.Never seen that you must get paid handsomely for that.
How much does this repair cost?
Nice job
What type of polyester filler and glaze do you use?

How much did you charge to do this?
After you grind the spot weld using a belt sander what chemical did you place on that? To have a good adhesion on the spot weld??

I need to change quarter panel for my Camry 2018 xse , but unfortunately I can’t find that part to buy
Bring a cordless grinder with a cutting wheel with you to your local salvage yard.
How much would that same type of job cost for a 2 door car?
Joshua Mouw it’s impossible to say a price without having the car in person. There are so many variables and every car is different
would you have a video how to do it on aluminium pls

ICAR backer usually taken from leftovers for the matching profile. If your not familiar with ICAR it's on the web.
What was the total damage. $
Nice job! though I I would listen to a d8 then to ur sound track kinda annoying
for the joints it is better and faster silicon bronze nice job clean👍👍
hmm... no Corrosion protection? no E coat on the back side of the panel??
I love how you're never using any gloves.
Hi. Why don't you use CuSi³ wire ??? Fe wire is corrosion.🤭
Interesante.....
Why can't they just pop off and on like a piece of interior trim lol
I agree, this would be nice if they were just bolted on. I was thinking about replacing one of the quarter panels on my lancer
Yeah right! I'll replace my car first. Unless you hit me. Then let that instance fix my old ass car.
Maybe you could talk and wear gloves
