The Arctic Panther growl... what a throwback
I just posted a question about this during your last probe! 🙂
I've never been more fascinated with Paul's wood.
.. and his drawers.. lol
@@craigd9305 preach
I can appreciate he keeps his wood natural. What a real man.
you have to deal with the tech briefs first
I’m pleased that he tried really hard to keep his wood nice and straight.
Paul + Legos? Man, my tech hobby was dying down a bit and now my Lego addiction is in full force, and Paul is catching up with me! Will definitely be looking at some of those storage solutions you recommended!
Paul has never had so many people looking at his back door all at once.
Gotta start a new DIY woodworking channel now! PC mount definitely looks EARTHQUAKE PROOF???
I gotta disagree. Watching them trim that door made my eyes cross. They had a miter saw and still couldn't cut a 45.
Thank you for taking us in this adventure of how you are setting up your office.
Great work guys. Job well done. Thanks for taking us along as you did your work. Looking forward to the next one. Take care.
Garage work vlogs are truly the gift that keeps on giving.
I love watching these types of videos. They sometimes give me great ideas and inspiration for my own area.
If you were giving your view on the world of computers from a van down by the river... I would still watch! But I hope these self-help upgrades help your life! Thanks!
I always loved the garage. Just feels right
Yeah. It is definitely Paul's signature. He definitely feels more relaxed there compared to the office.
I love it when you have additions to this series of home studio upgrades. Btw I used the same shelf frames for my shelves above my desk.
Woo, upgrades! 🤘
The Garage work log videos are my favorite!
That lightsaber looks so cool!
Very cool video Paul and Joe.
It's really intriguing to see what others build and put into there workspaces on home projects.
Funny though, I have never seen a door molding/frame style placed like that before. I'm on the East coast here in the states and it goes to show even in the same country at different sides how people like thier architecture. Basically molding here is angled and squared off.
Very cool though guys 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing and stay well!!!!!
Great setup Paul! You have done a great job and not forgetting Joe 👍👍👍
Look at that lush green lawn! Holy crap!
Awesomesauce video Paul and Joe!! Oh how i love the garage/house vlogs. I am really glad to see the Brent Spiner photo still on the wall.
And that french cleat action! Such inspiration my friend.
As for the Dark Base 902?? On the shelf, it looks fine!! The mini-split still has room to flow it's conditioned fluid. Ohh, i so need to get some organizational work done on my area.
And Hana was so nice to help out.
I wonder if some LEDs could work around the door molding??
A fridge you say?? One might need some Bawls, amber ale or cold coffe to fill one's need to create more content 🤔 😀.
Caffeinator out.
I think 45-degree joints on the top corners of the door trim would have looked a bit tighter, but I notice the trim isn't all the same size, so that wouldn't completely work. Still, nice work sir!
Nice job Paul and Joe. Workspace upgrades are always the best upgrades.
Always fun seeing the DIY studio improvement videos! 👍
Really enjoy these Garage and even home renovation work-log videos 🔥🚀
Your daughter is growing up so fast ❤
Happy midweek
You know your day is gonna be awesome when it starts with Lowe's and Joes! 😎
Impressive LEGO collection! Should get those drawers for mine!
I know these videos are your usual content, but I just wanted to let you know I've been enjoying them. Thanks for sharing with us.
I have enjoyed your garage build way more than I should have - LOL
I think a giant thumbscrew logo would look great in the middle of your acoustic board. Maybe just made out of poster board or something but it would look nice in the background.
Nice to hear the ARCTIC PANTHER GROWL!!!
Always likes your vlog updates! You and I are a lot alike with the "why didn't I do this earlier?". Don't know if its to do with some diagnosis that makes at least me miss doing things. Not that I procrastinate by will... I just leave it because I weren't finished and then forget it because there is something new that came up :) Never ever finish something completely unfurtunately... Its good you have Joe there to help and remind you... I also need a Joe! :D
Would strongly advise making some sort of classy earthquake strap for that jumbo tower on your shelf. 😳Otherwise I think it's perfectly showcased there for your future videos (why go SFF at this point if it fits 😜) Thanks for taking us along for your upgrade!
Diamond Bar is 27 miles from the San Andreas Fault! (Assuming you live in the same town as your post office, could be a whole lot of shakin' going on.)
Good to know that Joe is such a solid caulksmith.
Lives in the LA area... that PC needs to be strapped to the wall because of earthquakes. Super easy to do, just get some pipe strap, and wall anchors/screws. Pipe strap is the metal straps with holes through it, bolt one end to the case using the holes for mounting fans or radiators then put the PC on the shelf find the best hole on the other side of the strap for putting in the anchor, mark the wall for the anchor and where to cut off excess strap, repeat for the other side of the case so one is on the front and one on the back. Put the wall anchors in, trim the straps, put PC on shelf, screw the strap into the wall anchor. Done and earthquake safe in less than a half hour.
I love your garage and house upgrade videos :)
aircon air straight in front of the PC! NICE! Yummy cold air
Looking good, the garage is coming along nicely.
Always great to see the build process.
If you make a smaller PC (in something like an NR200p) you could always mount it underneath the desk.
That's what I've done myself, makes for easier cable management and saves you desk space!
But then you can't enjoy seeing all your glory, sweat, and tears. And scars, chick's dig scars. 👌
TIL LEGO actually has official communication guides which ask people to pluralise with either just "Lego" (same way we use fish as the plural for fish) or "Lego bricks".
Looking good. Cant wait to see the final result. Lighting looks very soothing.
"Intro- Back Door Work" Wow Paul, you going all in?!
Time flies by way too fast. Seeing his daughter that big and I remember the housing remodel she was less than a year old. Wew lads.
And wouldn't using monitor arms be better and give a ton of space compared to using the normal mounts?
I enjoy these videos from you. Plus the bonus for you it's for content for your channel that can help make you money and potentially get you new viewers too.
I have a great idea! Wall mounted PC. You could make it on a slab of wood!
As always I love the vlogs! Joe, I share your anxiety over the PC.. has Paul.. Paul, have you considered crafting yourself an ultimate SFX streaming/productivity PC, something worthy of the Arctic Panther lineage? It could actually become a centrepiece and thing of beauty up there, and it would make another delightful couple of videos.
Kudos to Hanna for the delicate art of painting - well done!
Love the storage boxes.. that interlocking modularity is fab! It's all coming together nicely guys!
I like these types of videos you do Paul, good to watch and helps me with ideas
I know it’s just a blog video, but man did it ever feel like something was missing when you brought up arctic panther…
One thing I've done with some black wall brackets that I used non-black screws with was to blacken the heads by heating them up real hot with my blow torch and toss them in some cooking oil. Looks good and I can use better screws than most of those brackets seem to come with.
Wow project time looking good. Watching from the Philippines "Bohol" getting pretty warm or hot I should say.
I've been seeing your videos for a while now Paul. i don't believe I have ever made a harsh comment ever but that shelf needed a coat of paint. My eyes go to it everytime it comes into the shot! 🤷♂🤷♂😯😯😯😯😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice...
Thanks, Paul!
Love you!
I never sorted my Legos... just kept them in two giant boxes. Dumped them on the floor and started building. I think Legos did a great job on my creativity and three dimensional thinking, they are a great toy. A bit expensive though, but there are alternatives now.
love these, thanks for sharing!
Thumbs up at, "my garage" - paused briefly to type this and get popcorn.
Art Supply Warehouse is down the street from my house. You were in my neck of the woods. I have some wood projects currently as well. Building a storage rack for Costco 27" gallon totes, a work bench, and a new pergola for my backyard. Side note, I was at Micro Center yesterday. Spent a half hour in the store, bought nothing. One of the sales guys came up to me and asked if I needed help. Told him I was good but would definitely get his sticker if I bought anything. He said we just need to look busy and it isn't that busy right now. BTW, your daughter is so cute. My son and your daughter's birthdays are 1 day apart, my son's is the day before.
I love these Worklog videos!
2:27 joe is really good with...
I think a micro-atx white pc would be ideal up there.
Love the content Paul!
Always fun watching you screw :D
Edit:
I mean screw stuff into the walls >.>
Wall mount case would be pretty cool
Really cool style to this one. Loved it.
Looking good Paul
Hi Paul. I see you have the opportunity to start a new channel. You could call it "This Old Gamer Room." The door trim, 2:00, could have been mitered. A small trailer is always lovely to have. I always take mine when I go to Home Depot or Harbor Freight. I keep a small pancake air compressor in my gamer room. It allows me to spray paint and remove dust from my PC.
Excellent Lego situation!
I like how the bit fell out of the impact driver at 12:01
2:25 Google caption decided to [__] when Paul said "CAULK" work... twice.
_He's really good with the caulk.._
Man every time u do dyi stuff i think how surprising it is that u do this real shoddy but can do computers so well
Now I need the drawers to organize my Lego...
Those drawers are dope. Looking forward to the soft box video.
Joe is the friend we all wish we had.
That's mainly what my channel is for, to hang with me lol. Thanks
Heck yeah! Garage vlog 😊
For the wall mounted computer. I have a TT Core P3 that I wall mounted and it's pretty nice.
Fun video as always! You may want to check if your acoustic panels are safe from off-gassing VOCs, etc.
Good video. Enjoy the home improvement journey
Great job Paul and
Hell yeah, love the garage videos.
You could always wrap the cables coming out of the back of the pc, or maybe velcro them together or something.
That was fun, another Paul DIY project...what could go wrong?
Joe and Paul are really living the American Dream..... doing dad tasks
(edit) also, if you have an outlet down low on the left side of the PC, you could possibly put another one up higher above the light switch so you dont have to run any loom to hide AS MUCH wire!!
Love this kind of insight, thanks~!
I would like to strongly suggest fastening heavy things aka PCs on that shelf down securely to prevent them falling off said shelf and onto one's head when the next major earthquake strikes. It's not a question of if, it is a question of when. Take it from someone that has rode out more than one quake.
As you had a chopsaw, why didnt you do 45 degree corners on the door frame?
Long live the jank. And Joes laugh.
great job paul!
I wood comment on how good of an instructional video this is but I wood sound unhinged or nuts and I might get a letter from rigid just to set the record straight. Great job Joe! (and Paul of course) and great selection of all of the hardware.
wall mount open air glass front custom loop build on the wall would be prime
Awesome job so far!! Love these type of videos : )
you should mount those little drawers to the under surface of the shelf
Most excellent 👍
Hi Paul! I like it, that you found brick builds as a hobby for your daughter and your self. I will not go into details, but be aware that there are more brands than just Lego out there. Lego is more the Apple under them. And no, forget the Fanboys, Martel also have Megablox and Lego produces in Asia not like Cobi in Europe. And no, Lego didn`t invent the wheel. Nice office by the way. 😅
More please 👍👍
I'm really curious to know what the difference in power draw between having a home studio and office studio. Maybe another video to touch on your power wall several years after the install? How long until you break even?
Let's hope you don't get an earthquake anytime soon. That tower on the shelf is making me super nervous lol
@paulshardware Looking Nice Man!!! I do think the smaller chassis will be a good rout and keep the PC up there as well or Use a under the desk hanging mount to hide the PC and keep off the floor. I would do something to showcase your home lab as well. Also If your going to show case your studio upgrades or show off some the home life with your fans start a second channel for it so you can get monetized there as well. I mean why not you know. I would but i haven't even gotten my first channel monetized yet. Plus I have been watching you since you started Bro. K well Peace.
Really like these type of videos, and it also gives me a lot of ideas for my own renovation plans. The aqustic panel is still to this day the best looking one i have seen so kudos for keeping it :) Curious about the softbox, but also a quick question if i may. The Corsair chair. Is it any good and how's it holding up after some time in use?
Keep up the great work guys and have a great week.
looking forward to seeing the next episode of garage wars 😅
Go Paul and Joe
wall mount case for that PC make it a part of the set with matching RGB to the wall.
Computer on shelf? You could attach a lip to the shelf. Shelves on ships typically have lips.
"LEGOS" Come on, Paul. That's one S too many. Luv ya . At least no self stud finder joke was made
@paulshardware Just a thought for the soft box. Did you consider using a Mylar blanket for the reflection? They’re pretty cheap and cover a large area as opposed to reflective tape.
Bring back "Awesome Hardware" show!
