Ryan, you have a career as being a documentary narrator. Your voice is very atune to that I think. Hopefully somebody in the industry will hear your videos, if that's something you'd like to do.
Dude. You were literally 10 miles from my house. I recognize every outdoor shot in this video. I love the Willamette Valley, but that's because I don't get springtime grass allergies. You literally get a haze from all the pollen that hangs in the valley around that time.
Excellent job to both you and your wife with sharing an interesting part of lawn care from its core. From beginning to the end user, the work that goes into the seed process is amazing. Thanks for your dedication with helping others like myself feel more confident in making our yards look and feel a whole lot better!
Wow, nice video editing again. Been some time since I drove a swather or combine, but the hard work and dedication of farmers is something that never changes!
Bro! You are killing it! This series was by far the most insightful. You’ve carried us through the home owner experience and now this is just beyond anything I’d ever thought I’d see myself. Thanks for your dedication, Ryan. And thanks to your wife for supporting you through this journey!
Thank you Ryan and Kelsey for the insight. I have a new appreciation for what goes into filling that bag of grass seed every homeowner easily picks up at the Home and Garden Center.
Ryan Really nice job always wondered how they did the grass seed and now you can understand why is not cheep to get quality grass seed these guys are awesome and thanks for the video . 👏👏
Awesome Ryan! Like someone else said, thanks to the farmers who plant our produce, and also the grass that we plant in our yards. Thanks again for showing us this process that they go through 👍
Thank You 🙏 Ryan for letting us know how our grass seed is produced and harvested from the fields to our own lawns! I have always wondered how it was made. Plus you also gave us AMAZING VIEWS as well too.
You have done such a fantastic job on these videos and they have all been a joy to watch. It is great to see the intersection of your love for lawn care and your passion for film making. Thanks so much for sharing!
I truly enjoyed it Ryan thank you so much for sharing this!! I would say they have my dream job i would give anything to do that just for a day but for a lifetime for sure man I love my grass addiction its so amazing to see stuff like this!!
This was so interesting! I didn't know hardly any part of the grow to harvest operation but also that Oregon is the seed producing capital for the world (I live 50 miles south from Silverton - the town you were in.) I am reseeding all of my lawn and have devoured your videos (you provide the best/most comprehensive info all homeowners can use to improve their lawn therefore adding value to their home - Ryan you're better than the Lawn Care Nut guy! Allyn is a character and can get someone doing bits & pieces. But if I need step-by-step info that's where you don't miss a -step- beat btw is your fertilizer sold in Walmart or do I order it from you? Ryan you know grass/lawn care and can predict what the homeowner will need to improve their lawn and you show us how to do it. I wish I could give you 5 stars or something so others (like me) would know you're one to land on for all things lawn care from bare ground to minor patch ups, you cover it all! Thanks Ryan : D
Ryan,..this was another Excellently produced video w/ so much educational information ! Being a perfectionist I know that it can drive you crazy when producing such high quality but it's that attention to ALL details that originally had me following both your channels & makes you the absolute Best !!
Ryan this is my favorite video you've ever made. Very cool! Next, you should do one on how Swardman's are made (Or Allet's) and expense a trip to Europe!
I love grown grass. When it seeds I think it looks so pretty. Shame most folks want the golf course, I respect it of course. Just a big fan of the seed reeds.
Just an incredible series! Bravo, very well done! Captivating, informative, Insightful and humbling content creation! You are seriously next level with your cinematic and story telling abilities! I felt like I just watched a Netflix Series on "The Life Cycle of Grass" So proud to be part of your community, our community! May God keep blessing You, Your Family and Friends! Peace my Brother! Wow, that was really interesting and informative! I sure do miss living in Tacoma will in the Air Force, completely different weather and people then here in Iowa.. Thanks Ryan!
Awesome video series. I always wanted to know how Grass seed is produced and harvested. Keep up the good work! I might have missed it in the video but was it mentioned what a common pound per acre harvest of say Rye seed is in a normal growing season?
This makes me feel a lot better about my $100 bag of seed being a good value. Also curious how these guys feel on the right to repair issues we are hearing about.
Hey Ryan really enjoyed this video don’t believe I have ever seen a video that went that deep into seed harvest. But one question why can they only harvest once a year and why does your seeds in your yard not germinate what is different what has to happen that they do germinate. I thought this would be brought up but I didn’t hear anything.
Thank you Ryan for putting this together for all of us! and THANK YOU to the farmers of not only grass but all crops for providing for all of us.
Ryan, you have a career as being a documentary narrator. Your voice is very atune to that I think. Hopefully somebody in the industry will hear your videos, if that's something you'd like to do.

This is pretty sweet and in depth. My kind of stuff.
Next time on "How it's Made".
Might actually be better. I was a big fan “How it’s Made.” It’s amazing what a single UA-camr can do compared to a TV production company.
Really excellent video thanks so much for making it I was so curious on how all this is done
Great series Ryan. Was very educational. As always. Well filmed and edited.

The windrower and header were both built in Ottumwa, IA.
Loved this series 💚. Well done.
Hopefully that was a twofer one your bucket list with a visit to ROGUE Brewery.
Crazy, I live in the Columbia Basin of eastern Washington and had no idea they grew blue grass out here.
Hell of a video! Why is there such a big difference between how many years a field of ryegrass (2-3 years) and fescue (10+) can go?
Very informative Ryan! Thanks!
Wow man amazing video! One of the best
Awesome content!!!! Nice job Ryan!!!
Love this. Great video.

Always wonder how they prepared grass seed 🤔
thank you for your research.
That was cool great job! Thanks
Nice video. Is there a product made from the combine swath after the seed is collected? Can they make bales?
Yes. Duane discussed that in this video about what they do with the other part of the grass plant
