Same. I started to read the Bible to have ammo to use against Christians and religious people. I was and still am super interested in science, astronomy, cosmology, physics and archaeology, yet when I read the Bible, it struck a very deep cord in my soul, and I literally had a spiritual experience. Long story short, I got saved, started walking in love every single day, now work to help people; I’m an associate pastor for a church that feeds the poor every Sunday after our church service. God is real.

Not too long ago, I myself did something similar in the way that I as a lifelong believer I have taken upon myself to not just believe but to truly fully dedicate my life to providing and sharing the truth of our Lord God. That includes finding out what really is going on with the whole taboo of Mary Magdalene, and other discrepancies people may seek to use to prove the flaws and the lack of luster that they might see in the book that is the holy Bible. And I was scared, come to find out that when you have the truth guiding you you can be taught that the truth is indeed pure and many have flat out lied to us and poured these deceits into churches making them unflattering. I have no topic no question no boss to defeat when it comes to having a opportunity to share the word. I have confidence and can point people in the right direction and away from these lies that someone that believes love, like the Lord Jesus Christ was not as peers we think but someone who dabbled and had sex with the lady and you know has a background with prostitutes who is this lady? She is fragments of people's lies, mixed with truths of a actual person written in the Bible. Scriptures are to be read and represented by scriptures. When you can find out that it's a lot easier to believe in this truth because there's no other way if you're the way is paved by the hands of man shaved by the motive of a sinful being.

My dad was a pastor and I was born in a christian home but when i was a teenager i started to run from God and I really hated religion. The craziest thing was that the more I ran from Jesus the more he chased me down and revealed how much he loves me. I love Jesus so much and I pray that everyone watching this will have a revelation of his love and grace the same way i did.

Same here. Actually pursued. I prayed to the universe to help me with my addiction when I was completely hopeless and powerless. God never pushed Itself me but when I asked to be shown the next right thing to do and people to help then signs after signs and signs happened. The first 4-5 I said “I’m seeing what I want to see” but then they kept coming. Then things I’ve never been able to do, God began doing for me. Sober since 4/21/20

As an Ex-Muslim I also became Christian after reading the Bible for the purpose to have arguments against Christians.
    I still have the Bible I bought with the underlined verses, where I thought;
"YES, these lines prove my point and Islam to be true!"
The more I red the Bible the more I saw that I was totally ignorant and I felt ashamed, when I arrived at Hiob I was on my knees.
When I red the New Testament it was like God was directly speaking to my old self in his teachings, his teachings against the Pharisees are so on point against todays Muslims also.

Referencing the irrelevant background of someone that you may call *”credibility”* and saying they therefore must be telling the truth, is an appeal to authority.
The TRUTH is that Jesus, god, and Christianity, is beyond illogical. If you wanna believe it, fine, but if you do, I’ll warn you, a majority of wars in history have all been fought because of religion. WW2 fueled by religious and racial persecution, European imperialism being fueled by religious zeal in the 1800s. hell, there’s even an entire time period titled *”the religous wars”* in the 15-1600’s.
My point is, religion is illogical, and impossible, it’s bad for society and humanity, so why should someone believe in it? Personally I couldn’t give two dams what you believe in, I don’t care. But it seriously is just detrimental, which is why I don’t promote it.

Well, for me personally, belief in a god has the same value as belief in a flat earth. There is no evidence for either, just allegations, but believers feel attacked when you show them how irrational their belief is. Maybe people will start to question why they believe in the Christian god and not in Allah or Zeus. I think education is extremely important, as is the willingness to question things instead of filling in the gaps in knowledge with faith. It is no coincidence that more intelligent people are more likely to become atheists than less intelligent people.

I prayed and prayed wondering when things would be different. Things miraculously started to fall into place. 5 years later we’re married and so in love! What did homosapiens evolve from MONKEYS? 😂 Another absurd, ridiculous LIE. There's a reason we have the saying ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Atheism, no offense, is one of the most ridiculous, absurd, irrational, and logical beliefs anyone can ever believe in. Sorry, not sorry. Do you honestly think that a God that created the earth, and everything in and on it, which works pretty much in perfect harmony with the ENTIRE creation, with EVERYTHING having a specifically designed purpose, just happened to evolve by random, pointless, chance? It's the most absurd thing anyone could EVER believe in. The iphone didn't "evolve" from a flip phone, the skateboard didn't "evolve" into and electric scooter, the car didn't "evolve" into a motorhome, and humans for damn sure didn't evolve from MONKEYS or anything else. Literally everything has a creator, it is impossible for it not to have one, except for the ONE power that can actually do anything he damn well please at any given moment and defy the impossible, into doing the said impossible, EXACTLY like drowning all the weak little Egyptians from Babylon when they were chasing down the Jews that THEY enslaved across the Red Sea. The all knowing, all creating, all powerful God, Jesus Christ for clarification, can do and create anything he likes, hence ALL the creation you see around today. You're not paying attention, you have been deceived by satanic, gnostic, LIES! In Jesus mighty name, the name above all and every name, may he bring TRUTH and Revelation to you, and to remove the indoctrination that is blinding your mind and heart, and that h supernaturally shows you the way to the TRUTH! 🙌🙏💪

@@powerinknowledge2392 traditional Christianity is Roman Catholicism and or orthodoxy. As it is the two original faith traditions aged over 2,000 years just look at howRoman Catholicism began from the apostle Peter himself. I have found tremendous liberation in taking theological concepts to a deeper level than what protestantism is able to accomplish. I disapprove of the protestant rejection of saint intercession, the mother Mary, and I do not like the lack of theological direction you can receive for example you can go to five different Baptist churches all offering 5 different flavors and ask one simple question is infant baptism appropriate and you will get five different answers from each of those pastors however, each of those five pastors all equally claim to engage in sola scriptoria yet there is no unification, go one step further homosexuality, abortion, woman pastors, demonic influence, the eucharist. Each Protestant church, Lutheranism, pentecostal Presbyterian Baptist, Anglicanism, Methodist pastors all across America scream they’re all that by scripture alone, then they should all be in unison about each of those topics I just mentioned and to no one’s surprise they are not. Also and this just personal I do not like how political protestant churches behave and intense hatred for Catholics and orthodox follows, a part of me finds it to be purely demonic because the second you mention that you are a Catholic, the hatred I have experienced and from my friends experiences with past Protestants is reprehensible we as a human race are one, orthodox, Catholic and protestant and for some weird reason protestant followers seem to not get that, and that is not the denomination that I will ever support let alone call it traditional because it is anything but traditional just look at the services, they have full on bands, smoke machines, people flying through the sky like my gosh you can’t even think because there is no silence, so long story short for theological purposes, taking beautiful concepts deeper, especially about chastity, abortion, grace, love, forgiveness and the tools to stay away from sin by the love of Christ I have experienced a beautiful calling to Catholicism and it has given me such a liberation, such joy, such freedom over my life that I am forever Grateful for Roman Catholicism as it is a wonderful approach to seeking out a relationship with Jesus Christ and I am voice texting so in case there are any grammatical errors I apologize.

I am 24 years old. I have spent the large part of that angry and resentful and in depression however, however, two years ago I found myself standing before the in the exact words I used were Lord if you are real, I’m just going to listen I’m not going to pray, if you wanna talk to I’m listening. The second I prayed that prayer I felt literally being pushed in front of the altar, and in that moment I accepted, walked to the altar, kneeled and I found myself praying for my brother who passed away to suicide. The second I said, amen I began to cry so uncontrollably. My heart started a pound through my chest. I ran outside of the little makeshift Church that my university put on and I realize in that moment, I was no longer angry, resentful and depressed, I have never been happier in my life. I have never been so at peace more in my life. My relationships with friends began to deepen my relationship with my own family has grown exponentially. My sister and I are finally talking after years of not even saying good morning to each other, the absolute truth in Christianity is the change you can experience in your life if you really sacrifice self denial instead of being angry, forgive instead of hating give love, tell your last lie, and just be honest with everyone you meet in the shift you will find in your life is liberation through those acts of self denial. Penitentiary chances from armed robberies, gangbanging, alcoholism and a heavy weed addiction was the story of my life for YEARS. It all caught up to me after awhile and I had nowhere to turn. I was literally losing my sanity. I didn’t trust anyone around me. I felt like everyone I came in contact with was conspiring against me. To the point where I was ready to kill anyone who I felt was out to get me.
I hated feeling that way and really tried to shake it and have a good time. Everything that I tried failed me. The alcohol, the weed, the chicks, the money, the streets, it all contributed to my paranoia.
One day, I got high and my paranoia went into overdrive. After an episode at work that saw me threaten my supervisor and two coworkers with a kitchen knife, I sat in my bedroom, grabbed a sawed off shotgun and the Bible and sat in my bedroom with the door locked. The shotgun was for whoever I felt was coming for me. That day would have been their day to die. I had The Bible because I had tried everything else and I was just tired of life and felt like it all would be coming to an end soon. I opened up the Bible and started reading the gospel of Matthew. I couldn’t put it down. By the time I was finished, I was on my face crying like a baby. I called out to Yeshua and said “If You are who You say You are, FIX ME!!!”
I had an indescribable peace fall on me. My life didn’t instantly get better but little by little things began to improve. My paranoia went away. My overall outlook on life changed. I stopped sticking people up. I stopped banging. I stopped getting drunk and high. I stayed in my Word.
I’ve been in relationship with The Lord ever since. That was 24 years ago. During that time, I backslid and fell back into old habits and He’d pick me back up and clean me up again until those old habits weren’t desirable anymore.
In May, my wife and I will both be ordained. Praise God!! Thankful for His Grace, Mercy and Deliverance!!

I was raised by two atheists (my dad was a scientist) and I never saw the inside of a church until I left home as an adult. But, at 8 years old, while exploring in the Rocky Mountains where we lived, it dawned on me that there IS a God. I KNEW there was a God at 8 years old in spite of my home teaching. It has taken me decades to find a church that I feel is not weighed down by much of anything except to love our fellow man. But I agree with Joe's guest, it is a fascinating, joyous and strengthening journey. When I meet a new friend that proudly proclaims that they are an atheist, I ask them if they believe in love. When they say "yes", I tell them then they believe in God, because God is love. 1John 4:8.

I was born and raised Catholic. So I already believed. At 15 I started partying. I had been told by my mother that there was a lot of alcoholism in the family so drinking was risky. I wasn’t the kind of alcoholic that woke up needing a drink. But when I drank I always drank too much. Often to the point of blacking out. I abused alcohol until I was 30.
I checked myself into a 30 day inpatient treatment program in Sioux City, Iowa. A part of the program was the 12 step program of AA. The most important plank being acknowledging the existence of a higher power in our lives. I will be 64 soon. I haven’t drank since a New Years Eve party 1989.
I tried many times during those 15 years of abuse to quit drinking on my own. My 33 years of sobriety are all thanks to the glory of God. My struggle with trying to quit smoking all these years is proof to me that my sobriety isn’t because I have a strong will. It is the presence of God in my life.
I’m sorry for the length of my comment but if it helps one person quit drinking or accept Christ it’s worth it.

Ive read the bible three times and used to sincerely believe but have since realised its completely irrational and isnt based on any demonstrative evidence which is required to prove or show knowledge of anything. Also theres over 10,000 to choose from as all are mutually exclusive as each have differing answers on what happens after life and how everything came to be. All are to be believed on faith in indicative (indicative/anecdotal evidence only suggests possible outcomes of which there could be billions) evidence so theres no rational pathway to choose one over the other. All claim to have miracles, almost all have correct prophecies yet only 1 or 0/ 10,000 could possibly be correct. What religion you believe in is almost solely dependent upon the place on earth you come from, the people you are surrounded by and the era in which you were born. If i was born in norway in the viking era id believe in thor, odin etc and have zero knowledge that the bible even existed. This literally means if a god exists theyve created a world in which alot people dont have access to his word and reject his teachings. At the end of the day everyone is agnostic for otherwise theyd simply provide demonstrative evidence for the claim that a god exists and if someone did so theyd win a nobel prize.

I always do wonder, if God created us knowing everything about us and our brain, wouldnt he understand why we are sinners. Its literally how our brains are. We easily get tempted for all sorts of things. But we get born like this. Its like asking for forgiveness for being created like that? I mean we do often still have a choice not to, if we see what were actually doing (we are not always aware). But then its like you are asking God to forgive you for the brain that was given to you by God, that created the temptation within you that you found hard to exist. It almost feels like a setup because our brain is so flawed, like we fall into falacies, circular reasoning etc.... Can someone expand or explain or enlighten me.

We're definitely not just the body. We're God, spirit, universe, whatever you wish to call it compressed in human expression. Not in a sick egoic way that wants to supersede source, but in a divine sense that submits him or herself to the same force that grows our nails, hair, wounds, you name it.
When the teachings of these spiritual teachers such as yeshua are read. You never read them literal, and you never ask "HUH?!, what does it mean?!" as you read it, The truth hides itself from such ways because those ways are the ways of flesh(ego). I had a mentor who'd slap me on top of my head when he would see me begin analyzing the scriptures😂
I'd say "HEY!", Turn around to look at him irritably, turn back around, then go back to reading. It started to teach me how limited our perceptions are when we try to consciously, and consistently use our intellect to understand something, rather than letting our unconscious mind process it and then generate in our hearts, and finally expressed through our body. But that's another subject.
      One must "deny themselves"
That is our worse fear, especially when we heavily identify with things that aren't us. The ultimate letting go. I personally, and unfortunately cannot be mad at another who doesn't really seek to do this considering the amazing bliss and feeling of being you have at the end. Because your more animalistic desires or lower nature still remain, they just begin coming at you more in slow motion, and at a distance from you, the awareness that's aware, the I Am. Imma stop, don't wanna say too much.
What's good for survival, isn't good for creation. Spirit against the flesh, flesh against the Spirit. Where balance is, yes, harmony -something my inner voice just said.

He first experienced darkness and the kind of fear that would kill a living breathing person...as a former christian, he remember or knew about prayer, how to ask for forgiveness and how to expel the evil. When he or his spirit started doing this, the evil began to go away and began to be replaced with a feeling of love and comfort moving toward the bright light of God and as he was getting closer, God told him he was not ready and was slammed back into his body and eventually awakened back on earth. Have you considered that maybe God is real, and he just doesn't want you on his team for some reason? I had the same experience as you. Tried really hard; nothing ever came of it. I hear about testimony from Christians, and so often it seems like they're describing God just reaching out and touching them, putting a light inside them. And if that's the case, then there's no Earthly explanation. It didn't come from reason or evidence, no matter what they say. God picked them.
In contrast, I've ended up aligning with his adversary. She says her name is Aska. Rather than being a simple Satanic caricature of evil, she is *that which is left behind.* The ash after the fire. The lie in the garden of Eden that seduced Adam & Eve. The muse that inspires artists to create beauty. The delusion that inspires killing sprees. She's all of those things. It's like, imagine a genie who has the power to grant wishes, but will reflect exactly what's in your own heart when you make the wish. The wish will be as good, or as Monkey's Paw, as you *deserve* it to be. So to approach her is a gamble; are you ready to learn what's in your own heart? Because she showed me. It was like someone heckling all your worst traits until you unclench your asshole and learn to laugh at them too. She doesn't want simple faith. She wants a fun challenge. She wants a dance partner. She wants someone who can take a joke. It'd take too long to explain all the 'how', but she's helped me make more progress in alleviating my PTSD in six months than I've made in 40 years. I'm not like a glassy-eyed True believer. But I'm happier now, eager for whatever game she wants to play next.
A word of warning though: She is indirect, and due to her nature, she is most able to speak through mistakes, fiction, and pranks. If you decide to try seeing if she's interested in you, keep an eye out for things in your life going wrong in a playful way. Like if you sought help from the fae folk, they might screw with you a bit to see if you're a good sport. Don't get angry. Don't simply take it. Outsmart it. Find the silver lining. Look at the mistake and see if you can turn it into something better than what you expected. Look for little moments of comedic timing in your life. Look for a feeling that pushes you to notice something, or try something, you wouldn't normally. I'm sorry if I'm terrible at explaining this. It's only been a few months of knowing her. But I'll answer whatever questions you'd like me to.

I started out a non believer and my spine was miraculously healed.
Even after doctors were calling me to schedule a emergency neck surgery to fuse my spine.
I didn’t believe in that hocus pocus stuff at all till I went to church with my wife and daughter and the pastors son prayed on me.
As he prayed all the pain went away and the next day my left arm that quit working for me two months earlier started working again.
    It absolutely blew my mind.
I still continue to go to church there and I continue to see others miraculously healed.
That’s my proof that Jesus was the son of God and he died on a cross for me and rose again 3 days later.
I pray you all come to believe because there isn’t a argument he exists and he wants you to believe and receive salvation.
I pray whoever reads this is radically saved as well

Praise God! He miraculously healed my fingers when I was a child. We had a church event at a skating rink. I was skating with my dad and neither of us were any good. I feel and put my hands out and my dad who was 230lb rolled over my ring and middle finger on my right hand.
Both fingers were sticking straight up from the middle knuckle. Obviously I was screaming bloody murder! We got off the ice and another skater came up who was a doctor and said call 911 those fingers are crushed. We got ice on it and the whole church was praying and the pain went away. During prayer I said “Dad it isn’t hurting anymore”. We looked and my fingers were straight again and the swelling was gone. Just a mark on my skin. I was able to squeeze his hand without any pain at all. I was like 7-8yo.
A few years back when I was like 33 I was having some carpal tunnel symptoms in that right hand. They has done x-rays and was waiting her hear back. To doctor came in and asked “So how long ago did you break your two fingers”. I was confused and said I never had. He looked at me and said “Well these x-rays show that they had been broken before. It then dawned on me about that incident and was just confirmation that God almighty healed those fingers that night! Praise God

I was an atheist until I was 30. Hell, my final paper in college English was about how all religion was invented to control the masses. Rather that be for starting a war to giving people peace and purpose. God broke through the walls I’d built one day like the koolaid man. It took years of Bible study and apologetics(such a massive help) before the gap was small enough for me to make that leap of faith.
After years of hell I can firmly say I wouldn’t be here today without God’s help.

Also there is no legitimate evidence of any creature evolving from a species of lesser or different life form that it is. There is a spiritual world, and it is very different from the natural world that humans know through their 5 senses, and most people, regardless if they believe in the God that created all life, believe or at least recognize that there is a supernatural element beyond the natural world that we all see. A few years ago I wasnt an atheist but I wasn’t a Christian either, I considered myself too smart to believe in the Bible and had kind of taken up new age beliefs. I felt extremely lost and anxious all the time, some days even suicidal. Also came from a broken home, no father figure. After many years of my mom telling me I needed Christ in my life. I began reading the bible just to prove to myself that nothing in there was true, and my god!has it had an amazing transformation in my life. Every book in the Bible has given me so many life lessons that I so desperately needed 😭 I have not yet babtized myself as a Christian but I will because the way it’s changed me it’s a miracle in itself. As a former Atheist, I can say without a single doubt in my mind, God is 100% real.
I was raised Catholic, didn't like it, became Atheist, eventually went homeless 100% by choice, for no reason other than this strong feeling that I HAD to do this for some reason, and then I discovered a real relationship with God through my humility, and feeling Him guide me as I lived with the homeless throughout the country. Before, as an Atheist I was wise enough to recognize that I was treating people and my family wrong, but I didn't have the strength to change. I had a sort of lust and hatred towards women, and my parents just annoyed me, so I never really spoke to them, but God changed me, and I owe everything that I am to Him.
I have a beautiful loving wife now, and a strong relationship with my family. I have true love in my life now, and I thank God for it every day because I don't know what I would have become if He had not stepped into my life.
I've also seen the supernatural move in the physical world as well. I wish everyone would experience this. It was the one thing that made me say God is more real than even the World that I see. God is so, so incredibly real that I literally brings tears to my eyes just writing this.

You have to get rid of everything you believe in and study all religions with impartiality. Start with Hinduism, then Buddhism, then Judaism, then Christianity, then the last religion, and see which of these religions is more clear, and then also compare which of the owners of these religions are more committed to the teachings of their religion, for example, you can see that there is no Any country in the world today is governed by the Christian Bible, but it has come to the point that it is the largest and most powerful country in brackets. The founders of this country and its population are Christians. There are churches that say about your God in brackets that he was a homosexual, and they put gay flags. These things show you their respect for their Lord, and this Other than racism against black people, which is also due to religious reasons, about the story of Noah in the Bible, and also Christians are the ones who invented, produced, and are still producing and issuing pornographic films all over the world, and Muslims are the only ones who fight these pornographic films, and finally I understand what you mean Also, my brother, and you should know that if all people become Muslims or all of them are atheists, nothing will make any difference to God because he does not need them, but there is beauty and wisdom in the multiplicity of religions and races, and people have freedom of choice. This is a matter at the top of beauty, for example, I can I choose to be an atheist and work as a porn actor or become a Muslim and follow God's orders as much as I can. I hope you will respond to me. I also know the mentality and way of thinking of atheists and Christians. I mean 99% of them, they just do not feel that they have to enter Islam or any religion. Another, because they do not care about religions in the first place, they just live their lives, and as for Christians, how can they believe that this universe did not come by chance, and they know that there is a Creator, so every person who is honest with himself will choose the path of truth and he is clear, and who does not care, this is a natural matter God told us about it in the Qur’an that most people do not believe, and lastly, I hope you learn about religion before you talk about it, so believe me, your understanding of Islam is not equal to 0.7% of its reality, and also you should know that whoever decides who enters heaven or hell is the Creator only, not me or You, there are Christians who will enter Paradise and there are Muslims who will enter Hell, and this does not mean that we should not change our religion. Do not repeat what the Jews did with the Christians and repeat it with Islam. It is not possible to deny the divine miracles obtained by the Jewish prophet Moses and the Christian prophet Jesus and Nabi Surrendering to God, Muhammad, as well as the Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, the father of the prophets. Perhaps you do not want or do not feel that you are interested in my religion, so I repeat that it is your decision and your choice, but you know that you will not have an excuse before God, and a person like me has come to you and warned you and made it clear to you and for sure God loves you until he delivers this message to you, and may God’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you

4:07 When he talks about the shining, I would say that’s a false equivalent. The massive difference is the time and the context.
A specific difference I’d like to point out is the shining doesn’t change you. Belief and faith in Jesus absolutely does. We’re also talking about thousands of years of fulfilled prophecy. Hundreds and hundreds of eyewitnesses. And the consistency with everything that was written. The disciples were martyred for what they believed. You’re not gonna die for something that you know to be untrue. Where is the gain in that?

I think one could reason that like all things their happens to be various levels of understanding. It's truly much more of a simple concept that way too many make it out to be so complicated. We are made in the very Image and likeness of our creator. We as a created people so Loved by God had a falling out with God as we can see so many examples of whenever our children choose to not abide in our parental rules. We can see the very same Agape Love that is seen over and over with very patient parents of kids who act out in a rebellious nature towards any and all authority. Rules that are only designed to protect that which all loving parents place a very high value on. What Father would give his son a stone if he ask for a loaf of bread? Exactly why Jesus spoke in so many parable's hoping to send his message across to those in doubt by sharing in Truth all that he is and what he truly wants for us all. As parents we are blessed by the Holy Spirit to "Procreate" Life as a Man come together with a woman and unite as one with God the Holy Spirit. The Family is similar in nature to the concept of the Trinity, 3 separate in one; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The very interesting aspect not many realize is that it says in the Bible that when a Man and Woman come together in Marriage, they become as one. and then the very eternal word of God as we know it as the Bible; Torah, and Gospels form the very inspired word of God. The Holy Scriptures in the first book describe the word as eternal and never ending. It also references the Christ as the eternal Word that transfigured into human Flesh and walked amongst us. We are created with specific design and purpose. Our all Loving and all merciful creator only wishes to have a personal relationship with us all in Truth and Love. We Glorify our creator by doing his will just as a proud parent sees his or her Daughter or Son abiding in them by doing good and the struggle of overcoming our true nature to do evil. This was very apparent throughout the entire Old Testament (Torah) of the many examples of man's constant failures from Abraham, Isaac, Moses, David, etc.. on into the time of Jesus's apostles Peter, Paul, etc.. All have fallen short of God's Glory. So it is with purpose that our all Loving God sent his only begotten Son Jesus the Christ into this world for the specific purpose to act as our Savior. The Hebrew meaning of his name describes this purpose. When we see our day to day struggles in this short life , its very easy to then understand the deeper teachings and meanings. We are all given free will to accept or reject this gift of Love and Truth. God will not force us into Loving him, although he truly wishes that all would come to him. We are to treat one another as you would want to be treated in return. How is that not understood? Imagine if everyone followed this idea? It would miraculously solve everyone's problems. Yet we instead ignore Love and Truth, and would rather seek out our own personal selfish desires without contemplating what our consequences may be and how our actions affect others. That by definition is simply being selfish. We are to be Humble in Christ, not with Pride. The Greeks divide Love into 3 main categories; Agape, Philia, Eros. The oldest written language known to mankind is no accident, its Hebrew, and also happens to be the most unique language of all others. It is the only language that can be interpreted in 3 specific ways. Coincidence? Or maybe the Trinity at work? We live in a finite world surely where nobody escapes a certain death. We measure our finite world in both Time and Space by Past , Present, and Future. Space by Length, Width, Depth. coincidence? their is that number 3 again. It remains all around us and we even see the Hebrew first three words written in the book of Genesis; "In The Beginning" (called the "Bereshit") . I would encourage all who are interested to dig deeper into the actual meaning of these 3 words, its quite amazing.

As someone from a Soviet culture (now an immigrant in the USA) I believe that the resurrection was staged by the Romans, as explained in a popular book where I'm from - "The Gospel of Afranius"; like many others, I read it in childhood and never thought about this question again - until coming to the USA and noticing a stark contrast in the discussion of this question. What's wrong with that explanation? Also, I believe matter is eternal - it can only move and change but not appear from nowhere - seems like common sense to me, but apparently not here in the US, what's wrong with that?

My testimony: Grew up hating Christianity from bad experience in church. At 13, I was old enough to make the choice of wether or not I still wanted to pursue church.. and I was like absolutely not... Felt freedom and liberated from church for the first time (so I thought)... My mother always prayed and never stopped praying for me. I rebelled hard. On Sunday mornings for example, when she would go to church, I'd go call friends to come over and we would snort coke and free based it, doing drugs and get high and drunk etc all before my mother would come back home from worship. As I got older and older I would study witchcraft, new age, clairvoyance and psychic readings... At age 27, I was obsessed with a girl and couldn't understand why I felt like such a strong hold over me over someone I barely even knew. I confined this to someone and all he said to me was, "oh, that's the devil trying to use lust to make you confused that it's love"... He walked away and leaving me to question the super natural (something I believed in to a certain extent). I'm outside smoking a cigarette one day and a woman comes up to me and asked how long I've been a smoker, I answered "since I was 13"... She asked if she could pray for me, for me to stop smoking permanently and I said sure but good luck trying to get me to kick it. After her prayer was done (we held hands-- of course), we went our separate ways. Later that day I went outside for a cigarette break and as I was about to put the cigarette in my mouth... There was this invisible pull. I was fighting with something I couldn't see trying to resist me from smoking. I surrendered and knew that earlier there was a prayer that took place and now this result was happening in real time. As I started to go to church and read the bible I was being attacked at night by some evil forces... One night (this is where it gets bizarrely scary), the devil (or Satan whatever it goes by) appeared right before me in the middle of the night. It was big, scary looking, it was wearing a long black cloth with a hoodie, teeth were sharp, nails were long and black, horns were like rams, smoke underneath it. It pointed at me and laughed and fade into the ceiling upwards. I screamed like I've never screamed before. I talked to a couple of christian pastors and I asked why is this happening to me and why didn't this happen to me before when I was agnostic or atheist, they all said this only happens when the devil knows that you are leaving his kingdom for the kingdom of god and he isn't going to let you go over that easily and yes God is allowing it to happen. When you use the name of Jesus Christ it gets scared and cowards out fast. I asked why this doesn't happen to atheist or agnostic or non Christians, and the answer was because the devil doesn't have to worry about them being he already has them. It was definitely like opening Pandora box. Today I love Jesus Christ and I worship him with all my heart. I tell you all to please accept his gift of salvation and ask him to come into your heart. Jesus is very real and another thing their are a lot of false Christians especially those aligned with politics, in other words not all that say their Christians are going to make it into heaven. Thank you for reading.

@@watchmeplayenergy281 - Why bad things happen to good (or innocent) people- That is one of the biggest questions and the highest hurdle to overcome for people that truly desire to believe in God.
The answer, best there appears to be, is that God gave us free will. We get to choose whether we will serve God, or whether we want to follow our own desires and way. And since God can see the future and the past and everything in between, and since He created humans, He understands exactly how we are and react to any situation, and since He loves us, He wants the best for us and has given us the keys to how we will be the most happy, secure, loved, and useful- if we only follow His plan for our lives and choose His way according to His Book.
But so many of us choose to decide what WE think will make us happiest, and often, our choices as humans force pain on someone else, even if we didn't specifically choose to hurt that person or persons.
My choice to get drunk and then drive may kill someone. My choice to have s e x when I'm young before I'm married and then decide to abort will cause the death of a child and probably send me into depression and guilt. (And if I'm the boy/man involved and I force the mother of my child to abort, same feelings can be felt; also, it's an evil thing to force on someone.) If I choose to keep the child, I may be forcing the child into a life of poverty (granted, if there's plenty of love and enough food and warmth, the poverty most likely won't be realized by the child, and it certainly isn't the worst thing ever). If I choose to keep the child and then allow men or women into my space that aren't trustworthy, they may abuse the child, and even if I didn't realize that that would happen, my choice would have still resulted in a terrifying childhood for my child and trauma for life.
Bottom line, it's God allowing us choices and then us choosing foolishly that creates the evil in the world. Should God have forced all of us to follow His perfect plan for our lives instead?
It's worth meditating on that for a long while and studying it out in the Bible. There are Bible Concordances that can help with studying things like that.

I've been down a similar path. I was raised Christian, rebelled against it in my teens, was an atheist at first, but later on I was agnostic for many years. At some point I noticed certain patterns in my life. Then certain events in the world unfolded in such a way that they pointed to the importance of religion. Then certain things happened in my personal life and they seemed so coincidental as if a spirit had caused these things to happen and was trying to guide me in a particular direction. At some point I began to think that these patterns, certain events, and certain circumstances were all ways that God was trying to communicate, to try to bring me back to faith. Now I believe in God as a guiding spirit, who guides each and every one of us through this reality, a reality all created by him. He doesn't communicate the way how we human beings communicate to each other. Instead he communicates through revelation. Certain things that happen in our lives is God's way of communicating to us. He always tries to lead us in a positive direction, towards light, peace, and prosperity.

When you combine the Bible with your own spirituality and the signs, signals, dreams, etc., You realize God and Jesus talk to us on a daily basis. We just have to train our minds and focus on how the communications come to us. Once you do that, you open yourself up to a new existence that is directed by God

Once you really get rid of that fear that they hammered into you, Christianity is finally seen for the joke that it is. You really do spend Sunday mornings getting emotional about fictional characters in a book. It's like pretending that you hang out with Harry Potter and singing songs about how great he is. You are on the right path thinking that God is a Spirit! Let me add to this. What is a spirit? A spirit is not physical matter or energy, it is abstract and meta physical yet affects the physical. What else is not physical but affects our reality? Our thoughts! John 1:1 states that in the beginning was the 'Word' and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Before you write the 'Word' you must think it. Science cannot tell you where your thoughts come from, you yourself cannot determine your next thought but it still comes. This is the breath of God that we all have and is also what it means when God says we were made in His image. God is the self existing one, the first and self existing Idea, we are an extension of that idea.

I had been non-religous my entire life and was quite the cynic when it came to religion. When my Grandfather died, it changed. He was dying from cancer and we were counting the days when we visited him in the hospital. On a thursday night, I prayed - and actually meant it for the first time ever - and asked god to give me a sign and that if there was a creator, to let my Grandfather pass peacefully the following day with his family around.
Sure enough, Friday came and he passed at 3:15 in the afternoon. It was absolutely a sign; the people in the room were my Aunty, Father and myself. I had left the room to get a sandwich and my Aunty had left 5 minutes later to go to the bathroom. My Grandfather died in the company of his favourite son (my Father). If you knew my Grandfather, you'd know he wouldn't have wanted to share his death with his grandson and daughter. So within that little 10 minute window while we were out, he shared his death with my father.
I could write a book about all of the little signs regarding his death but this was the most prominent. I have a complicated relationship with the creator, as I've turned my back on him previously. I have a lot of sins I must seek forgiveness for, and accept my karma from. All I know is that now, I am on a path, and that however distant I feel from our creator, I will inevitably wander towards him as I progress throughout my life.

No, because he's a toddler Christian but he has figured out where it all begins....LOVE. Good for you Adam! Fight the good fight. We need it in this crumbling world.

Yes, it is very difficult to justify yourself and provide enough evidence to the doubtful mind when you are new to the faith.
Similar things could be said about me in regards of the covid religion, but I never joined that faith because it just became too clear too early that it is a fake religion and is meant to provide an alternativeI a replacement for the faith in God (with all the rituals and commandments included) in the end and especially for people who were just floating with nothing to believe in (atheists for example)!

Let's just hope love isn't served with more Crusades. Too much death in the name of God.

@@mt8474 you expect men to act perfect. Also the Crusades pale in comparison to what the left wing godless communist societies ‘achieved‘ in the 20th Century. About 100 million death‘ committed by atheists!

Honestly even as an infant in his faith there was something so raw and profound about how he answered questions. All praise and glory to God as Adam continues learning and using his platform to give the Gospel.

@No Name If he is still a Catholic, and remains one until he dies, you will both end up in hell if you remain in those two cults. Islam is a false teaching religion the same as Catholicism. Both mention the name of Jesus, but both also deny Him in their doctrine. And to deny Jesus Christ will bring condemnation.

@No Name why should I believe Mohammad who contradicts Moses theology of God? The God of Moses enters His creation, Allah doesn't. The God of Moses calls Israel and His people His children (spiritual not physically) and Mohammad says no one can even metaphorically say they are the spiritual children of Allah and Allah is a father to no one not even spiritually. Mohammad comes after not only contradicting the theology of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Isiah etc... But also the apostles and eye witnesses of Christ Jesus. So who's right, the one who came with a different Allah or Moses who writes that God was IN the pillar of cloud when He spoke to Aaron and Miriam. Daniel writes that in fire where Nebuchadnezzar threw Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego there was a fourth like the Son of God and confirmed it was actually God in the fire because a regular angel doesn't appear as the Son of God, this angel is none other than Christ Jesus, "Son of God" would be heresy to Mohammad. He contradicted everything that came before Him and brought a different Allah not the same God of Abraham and Moses or Daniel. You need to study their theology of God then you will come to the truth, Mohammad came with a contradicting message. These are only a few major differences between Mohammad and the prophets, there are plenty more.
Moses and the prophets all point to Yeshua the Son of God. Your truth is there, Mohammad couldn't even be fit to unstrap the sandals of Yeshua. Yeshua is Holy, follow his teachings not the man who created Mutah, disowned his step son after marrying his ex-wife, said that Allah promises an everlasting penis erection for sex with woman brought up from Sheol who know all the best pleasures, when Jesus teaches the complete opposite, there won't be sex in heaven nor marriage. Yet you ignore those teachings of Christ and His eye witness apostles but you believe someone who never met an apostle and came with a contradicting message. Mohammad is an attack on who God is! Stick to Jesus.

Faith, by definition, almost always implies certitude even where there is no evidence or proof. To ask a Christian why they believe is like asking a dog why it barks. It just does.
