I find Snoke to be intriguing. He’s apparently an ancient being...but also made by Palpatine. Either he existed, and Palpatine tried to clone him with what remained of him as a test to see if powerful Force Sensitives could be cloned and have their spirit inhabit the body...or Snoke was amping himself up and pretending to be bigger and more ancient than he was
both would work for me. What i do hope though is him being based on someone from the high republic. Some being strong with the darkside. It would be interesting to see if Palpatine or someone tried to regrow "snoke" hence making snoke etc.
Interesting. After Snoke was revealed to be a clone, I literally didn't spend any further thoughts on his backstory, I thought this would be everything there is to tell and was fine with that. But all these theories thrown around here really take me back to speculate further. Maybe there is still more to his story after all...
To me the reason I never cared for a backstory or an “explanation” of who Snoke is in the movies is because I don’t think it was set up like that in TFA. No one in the film asks the simple question: Who is he? He kind of reminds me of Sauron from Lord of the Rings. Yes there are books and it’s own expanded universe explaining his backstory but it’s irrelevant to the movies or the main plot. Snoke always seemed like an extension of Kylo’s arc (a plot device of sorts which isn’t a bad thing), so when he died I was perfectly happy about it (still one of my favorite movie experiences seeing that moment on the big screen) What do you think AT-AT?
The sauron idea is pretty cool. With that said, he does have his own Lore as well which I find pretty neat. I guess in the very least, I hope for a BIT more understanding of what he was up to, how Luke and Leia knew him specifically.
The Star Wars community is seriously so toxic now. Seeing people react so ignorantly to the high republic trailer. Thanks for actually posting content on it and not just hate videos for click bait cause unfortunately ignorant rage sells.
Probably because KK and the cronies at Lucasfilm pretty much tainted the whole community's hope, can't say they are in the wrong or right, just confused at best.

He always kinda appeared to me as the "evil old master wanting to kill the good guys" trope as a plot device in Kylo and Rey's story, although finding out more about each character is of course always nice.
“I made Snoke.” Or did he? What if that was the real Snoke that Kylo killed in The Last Jedi and the ones seen in vats in Rise of Skywalker are clones of him? Perhaps Snoke has been cloning himself for centuries and using essence transfer to enter a new clone body. However since Kylo caught him unawares, Snoke was unable to enact the transfer ritual and thus is finally dead with untold clones just sitting in suspended animation. Prior to Return of the Jedi Palpatine and Snoke meet, become allies and together they put a plan into motion that will see the Emperor finally unlock the secret to immortality. Snoke is to take control of the Empire/First Order while Palpatine is cloned and regains his strength. Perhaps something went wrong (accidentally on purpose) leaving Palpatine’s clone in a weakened state while Snoke plans to takeover the galaxy without him.
im curious if Snoke being a real individual ends up being the case and that original was then used as a Volunteer/ maybe they used DNA from the dead one knowing how force sensitive it used to be when alive.
To be honest I was not a fan of the sequel movies(Surprise!) and I am on the side of the Force with just letting it die, but that's not to say I hated everything about it.
I think there was a misunderstanding. The station from the Kylo Ren comic is not called Elsewhere. That is just an indication that there was a change in location in a comic. But I do think that the new villains - the Drengir - will have something to do with Snoke's station that is overrun with planets. Maybe. It's just speculation on my part.
@@ATATChat, it's nice that Mr. Soule has done this. I am not a fan of a recent trend in SW media that gives us a ton of unidentified people, locations, planets, etc. Just sayin... Here's hoping for some awesome stories and connections by Mr. Soule and his fellow authors.
The question I want to know why was Snoke was obsessed of killing Luke we never know why he hates him besides of being a failed clone or something of Sidious but really don’t you think he contradict himself in TFA and TLJ first he wants to turn Rey than kill her for what exactly?
Yea it's super confusing ngl. My guess is originally, Snoke was interested in having no Jedi in his way to dominate the galaxy once and for all for his master palpatine. But I also think originally, that Snoke probably was intended for palpatines role in TROS kinda. At least, if JJ was staying on board throughout, I think snoke truly would have just been this generations "emperor" but with no back history.

Right, hence "elusive elsewhere". It wasn't officially named/ confirmed until soule said it was the Amaxine station.
I just guessed he wouldn't want the guy responsible to ending the last Empire to still be around
Is it confirmed that the space station in Into the Dark is the same as the one Snoke is in? I've looked it up but I can't find anything else suggesting this.
Yeah, looks like Soule had to delete his tweet because this information comes from a book releasing in FEB.
@@ATATChat So he confirmed it on his twitter then deleted it?
What advise would you give someone wanting to start a star wars youtube channel
Just have fun with it! Don't have epic expectations. And get a good microphone 🎤
@@ATATChat thanks i will! Ive been talking about doing one for a while but im just hesitant cause i know how the atr wars fandom can be somtimes you know
I was honestly skeptical at first but for some reason I'm pretty intrigued now, this is gonna be good.
Yeah, its the one lingering thing I thought about regarding Snoke. Either way, it makes me excited for Tuesday.
Good thing the sequels are saved
Saved?
How is the high republic gonna have a connection to Snoke when palpatine and maybe the imperial remnant made Snoke , and palpatine wasn’t even born yet in the high republic era and even if he was he probably wouldn’t have been a sith at that potion. The whole real Snoke was made was to lure Kylo to the darkside since the emperor couldn’t the galaxy the same way so it literally makes no sense. I get you like the sequels that’s fine but let’s be realistic. Even if they don’t retcon the sequels , Snoke being connected to the High republic era wouldnt make any sense
Did you watch or only comment? Your comment makes it seem like you saw the thumbnail and commented. If you watch, then you will understand the connection.
@@ATATChat yep I watched it and I still stick by what I said lmao. Go ahead delete my comment if you want
@@ATATChat looks like my comment made you triggered on Twitter huh. And yeah I watched the video and like I said just because Disney wants to tell an interconnected story that sets up events 30 years later it still doesn’t make sense for Snoke, when Snoke was simply a temporary pawn for palaptines plan who never was a sith
“Sees thumbnail and comments” automatically assuming I haven’t watched just because I didn’t agree with what you have in the video 🙂
@@chaosboss1033 no, you just don't make logical sense regarding your comment and the information provided. Lol. Snokes connection is literally only a location. He's not in the high republic lmao.
You need some ritalin dude
BUT THE SEQUEL SUPPOSED TO BE DECANONIZED
🤣🤣 Says who?? The FaNdOm??
....Yeah that would be a horrible idea
Supposed by who ?
@@theelderkingstation3502 I got into a short-lived debate with this guy who told me the fans have the final say on what's canon and always have. Yeah, no.
