This is why we love you. You can admit when you made a mistake and turn it into a lesson. We are all constantly learning and being reminded, that's life.
I definitely don’t love you

@giuzeppe peperino no the reason he makes these videos is to help remind the young children who are new to the gym, most adults have already learnt their lesson while the kids hasn’t, Noel is just trying to help but people like you try to put him down just because he is better than you

Hey
I was attempting a back squat PR this morning, but while I was warming up I felt pain in my left leg. I REALLY wanted to hit that PR, but I decided to skip squats altogether.
“Why didn’t you squat at a lower weight?”, you may ask. Well, as I said, I felt that pain while warming up with weights that are basically very light to me at this point. So yeah, I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for being a voice of reason, Noel
Absolutely. I have hurt myself ego lifting more than once. In my old age (29) and facing some limitations that arose from my first career, I have started to accept that slow progress or even plateaus are better than injury. So sometimes if I'm not feeling right, I'm squatting 135 as a 200lb man, and that's ok.
Yeah when something doesn't feel right during the warm ups you know it's time to cut back. If something feels a little funky but goes away as I loosen up I'll usually just try to keep an eye on it as the weight gets heavier, but if I'm getting a jab in my hip squatting 135 I'm stopping there.
your comment and Noel's video made me realise my mistake. I felt some pain in my hip flexor while warming up but I still went for some heavy squats and later I realised I've strained it. Now I'm out of squatting for approx. 3 weeks until they heal. It feels so damn sad when you can't hit PRs but sadder when you can't even workout.
@@blusky3591 everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes ego (and ego lifting) is too attractive to pass up. And I would know, I ego lifted for weeks after a heartbreak. I just wanted to turn sadness into power, and I just so happened to get lucky enough to not get injured (also, the deadlift PRs are a bonus).
However, I’ve matured now. If I know I can hit a PR, I will. But if I can’t? I’d much rather postpone it rather than get injured and not be able to lift or move for weeks, if not worse
There's no shame about it. Joesthetics ripped his biceps by literally just flexing it. Take good restdays in between heavy workouts and watch your recovery.
bro Noel is literally what everyone should be, Positive, Smart, Respectful and He knows when he makes a mistake and admits to it, good shit
humble too
Too bad he also included excuses lmaoo
How is he smart? Did you see what he did? The fact he's aware of these things yet trained so stupidly is sad
you forgot "Big"
@@WhopperCheeseDotathe guy praised Noel for admitting to his mistakes when he did, something not many people would do. You didnt even read the comment and yet have audacity to call someone else stupid. Smh
Damn, this man is so inspiring and genuine
he is a juicer and keeps making mistakes. Find an old timer in your gym, sbdy strong with no major injuries and learn from them, not from this guy. He is nice and all, but he is here for the money, he shoots drugs up his ass, he gets injured? These youtubers are nothing, the earlier you realize this the better.
@@MMABeijing Nah. Lol
@@MMABeijing Injuring yourself is part of the game to develop. You can even injure yourself from the lightest loads. Old school bodybuilders were no exception.
@@andresvalverde5182 a careless juicer has no business trying to take any position of leadership or influencing. Old timers at my gym have a lot of wisdom to share, this tiktoker is nothing but a viral joke. I am not taking any lesson in "being careful" from a risk-prone juicer who is too old to make mistakes as he goes. feel me?

This was a test of character. Noel is a Gem. I hope I can rise to an occasion like this when it is necessary. Thank you for being a role model for an uncommon lesson these days, man. It really means a lot. At this point, most of the committed fitness folks know this was a mistake and got the lesson already, but that's a minority of the fitness community. The lesson for that minority is the character you put on display here.
Try trial of wisdom.
We should know to not train with Larry, they always get snapped up 😂
First the chest, then the biceps. All the gym bros are quivering now

Love how these sex bots have become such normality that people just carry on as if they didn't cover 3/4 of this comment section.
@@andresvalverde5182 - Dude I know. Hella annoying
Wheels had better start to put on the brakes too, cause after 30~ the testosterone stops and all that damage becomes permanent. Actually, its already don't but if he stops now he may be able to salvage what is left. By the time you feel it, its too late. Although he should be feeling something by now.
Ive never seen an influencer so good and honest like noel. Your videos always have genuine advices and tips. Keep it up 👍
I too saw Greg's video on this and im so glad you are ok and have learned from your mistake and hopefully this advice will prevent tens of thousands of others from making the same mistake, its not that i dont think it was a good idea to go for more weight and go for a PB, i just agree with Greg in saying more warm up reps and practice on the front squat before going for a PR on a lift you dont concurrently do on a regular basis.
imo this should be pretty standard, since i feel like it's actually just common sense really. but still as a reminder for people, can't really hurt 👍
@@mrloqqe1610 true and as somebody who has been going to the gym for about a year its not like new information or anything i just think injuries and lifting beyond people's limits will always be a risk when training with stronger people and i think its such a good thing as people seeing somebody at Noels level do that and then make a video to say that it was probably a bad decision and furthermore informing people on how to be more safe in similar situations is much more compelling than the "gym rules and advice" poster on the wall lol
So much respect for you for making a video about this!
How can people hate on this guy? Even when he makes mistakes, he is being honest about them. Much love towards the daddy.
If he was honest about it he would have just said “i tried to ego lift with larry” not any of that work sleep bullshit 🤣
Where is there significant hate? 99.9% of the comments are some degree of dick-riding.
@@dparis2172 People hate but you can't usually see it. Although people who hate on him don't even deserve to be named because they're literally abominations

This is such a humanizing video. We all make mistakes, as beginners but it even happens to the best of us. Making mistakes isn't necessarily bad, it all comes down to failing safely and how you move forward when mistakes do happen.
