      @@psysports9666exactly. Jesse didn’t fold, he was explicitly told he wasn’t allowed to ask those questions. Sam’s approach is very clearly don’t talk about it ever under any circumstances. Jesse isn’t the only one who has tried to ask him, pretty much everyone has. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why we haven’t seen Sam on a lot of big podcasts despite his popularity. @@ncramz1662 I agree and i think its very deliberate hes does not talk about his steroid use, ever. Steroid usage somewhat contradicts his whole "enlightened lifter" shtick and car talks. Everything he says is still important dont get me wrong, i enjoy his videos, but steroids are a major part in why hes big and maybe he thinks that would hurt his image and bottom line if he would acknowledged that. In reality, at least to me, it does hurt his mr nice guy and gym bro image, because being open about roids and their negatives when you take them is important, otherwise you will impact your mostly young viewer-base negatively, because none of his fans will ever get as big as him without them, but sam is portraying something else differently to younger fans, work as hard as him and you will get big, which just isnt true.

    Bro I love this video, between 19 and 21 years old I took steroids and it messed up the way I would look at myself so when I got off it was hard because libido immediately shot down, I had to regain my confidence again and get used to being natural and normal. No matter what even if you're taking trt you cannot stay on a cycle that long you have to eventually come off. The psychological affects after you take them will definitely change your perspective. The key is to love yourself, not damage yourself.

    • @timmyjohnson1195
      @timmyjohnson1195 2 місяці тому +10

      I was on TRT for a year but I did have “valid” reasons.
      My testosterone was at 215mg. I believe normal range is 264-915.
      While on it, I really did feel incredible. I also gained mass like crazy(obviously). I ballooned to 215 at 5’11. After being typically in the 184-190 range.
      But the mood swings affected me and my wife and she hated it. Especially being the one to pin me twice a week.
      I got off it and last time I got my blood drawn, I was at 450. While not high, it’s definitely not where it was(I still don’t know why I gained 200mg, after being off it for the last 8 months).
      I will say, though the first 2 to 4 weeks were horrible. My anxiety was heighten, so bad, and I was getting panic attacks at work nonstop. I did feel like my Blood pressure was higher as well, which I HATED that feeling.
      Now everything is normal but I don’t feel that “crazy rush” I did while on it.

    • @NotYourFriend19
      @NotYourFriend19 2 місяці тому +7

      This is such a crazy take on TRT. TRT is literally prescribed as a hormone replacement therapy that is intended to be taken long term, even lifelong. You can come off, but cycling TRT is literally pointless. Cycling test, which is the same drug, but not for the same reason, is what you’re talking about. TRT is for people struggling with T levels… test is for idiots wanting to cycle. TRT is quite literally regarded as a drug that should be used indefinitely lol

    I've always wanted to see a legit show/study like the Biggest Loser, but about gains. Showing basically how much of a change and improvement you could make with the right knowledge of your diet. Just like a 6 month thing where your Macros are tracked and met every day and with a custom workout plan for you just to show actual results. I think something like that would be a hit and show people you can actually achieve amazing results done right with the right knowledge and determination.

    Love this. I have a 14yr old son who’s getting right into body building. Misinformation and glorification of steroids is rife, either indirect or otherwise, but the more these kids are exposed to guys who are openly on gear the more it’s normalised

    • @psysports9666
      @psysports9666 2 місяці тому +3

      That is a big problem people dont see i feel like. Everyone is like "they are open about the usage!" but saying you are juicing hard and not bring up all the negatives, will only romanticize it.

    • @boocackeedquackhead8454
      @boocackeedquackhead8454 19 днів тому

      There's far more fear mongering over steroids than there is glorification, especially since many social media sites don't allow illegal drugs to be recommended or glorified.

    • @boocackeedquackhead8454
      @boocackeedquackhead8454 19 днів тому

      @@psysports9666some people don't have negatives, besides what is a given in that their natural levels shut down. Some people get acne, and some people might have heart problems that steroids could make worse. That being said, every person in this video made the same sort of statement about how basically no one else besides them should take them. They all discouraged it, and that seemed to be the motive of this video.

    The issue is they want to be influencers the second they start lifting. I see so many teenagers at my gym who film their whole workouts and spend more time setting up shots/reviewing film rather than just focusing on getting a great lift. Get big THEN become an influencer. Learn the ropes of bodybuilding and what works best for you, it will give you much better progress in the long run and then you can share your knowledge to others. Nothing in life is instantly given, you’ve got to put in the work

    Great video, at 57 and getting into the gym and training in the 80's I am so glad I was never tempted to take steroids or anything unnatural. I gave up powerlifting at 25 as I was making 10kg lifting gains in 12m and watching others make 50kg+ gains. I never made my target 150kg bench, I was 2.5kg off for 2 years, I'd hit my limit. I loved Arnie and coveted his physique, I improved and was stronger and leaner than most. I am delighted to say I'm still squating, still lifting and still heathy. All those I know who had these unbelievable gains are not so lucky, don't do it guys, there is no point in my view. Unless you are a professional bodybuilder and then it's trading health for cash, which is as crazy. As you get Older you realise that health becomes more and more valuable. The idea of putting an inch on your biceps and risking your health is as bizarre as it sounds !
