As a fairly jew UA-camr just letting you know I’ve always enjoyed ur channel. The Straightforwardness without the gimmicks and BS is so refreshing. Just real fishing and great information. Keep on keepin on brother!!
Thanks Adam. Don’t know how expensive those shrimp were but trying different baits and artificial lures makes for a challenge. Keep up the grind my friend. Richard from Menifee, California 🙏
Very true!
We need more multispecies videos for west coast fishing youtube! I suggest high-low rigs with shrimp or lug worms for your next trip to the jetty or pier. Though the fish yield isnt as big as stripers and lings, its very nice to see a variety of fish being pulled up rather than all just one of the same species at a larger size. Regardless great video, and yes that was a white seaperch.
Noted! Thanks for the suggestion!
Im pretty sure a 1/4 oz pompano jig tipped w/shrimp, clam, squid, fishbites, etc. would be so much easier to cast and manage. thats how I fish the surf in florida. enjoy the content.
Nice video and very informative, thanks for sharing! Sometimes when we have leftover grass shrimp. If they’re still fresh and alive…we make Lao jumping shrimp salad…so good!!
So fresh! Sounds yummy!
The perch on the pier with the lateral line was a white perch, we get them here in the NE.
They are a related to the striped bass.
Grass shrimp are fresh water shrimp caught in the Delta
@Bfishin This channel shows how to make your own shrimp pump to target Mud/Ghost/Grass Shrimp. Appears to do most of his fishing in and around Marin County. Great content as well.
This made my day!
The pump comes with airline and air stone you take it anywhere. It call a Bubbles air pump!
I was thinking the same thing he is only using fresh dead shrimp. Do they not have a bubble pump setup on the west coast 😂😂😂😂😂
We basically don't even have baitshops at all on the west coast we almost only use frozen bait@@dd214fishing
Lol an aerator
Nice video man thank you for show ass, how about Hollywood and San Francisco Bay? Are they still catching? Thank you.
Maybe worms next? Blood and pile worms? Would love to see you catch perch or stripers with them
I use magic thread to tie the shrimp on so the perch don't steal your bait so easily. Keep the videos coming!
That's a great idea!
I'm saying the most important thing first. Congrats on scoring the sponsored merchandise 🥳.I hope there are many more to come! Love your content, but I think Crappies are a better eating choice than surf perch 😊.
Crappie are definitely a good choice!
Grass shrimp absolutely slays stripers around Benicia for me. It doesn’t even matter if you keep them alive or not
Thanks for answering my question about dead shrimp.
Split tail perch they taste real good.. the flesh is a lil more firm
A surf perch challenge? Catch every variety of surf perch on a single bait or lure? Tweet!
can you do a review video about the allijoz
Does this rig work just the same if you are using frozen shrimp vs live shrimp? When using it, are we basically just letting the wave action toss the bait around the same way it would for anything churned up in the sand?
Brother what the name off the store you buy the grass shrimp.
As always, awesome video! Which pier is this?
What about buying an aerator?
can someone help me out, does the 1 rod from shore rule also include the bay south of the bay bridge?
Nice most people use squid on the west coast. You think a halibut would smack a large shrimp!?
Yes, absolutely
are you park and walk? cause i can never find parking..
Shrimp is perfect bait for Sheephead
where was this at
Question why you just invest in a small bubbles air pump you get from Academy sporting goods they cost about 5 dollars runs on battery that lasts for for at 3-4 trips and keep the water cool you golden bro . They will stay live for long time. Try it you’ll like it ! Good luck!
Those grass shrimp stay alive for a long time outta water
That will probably work too!
🔥🔥🔥
Where do you buy the shrimp?
Wish you the best. Your content is then best . I’ve got a 20ft boat . I’ll take you on it anytime . God bless
Adam, time to get a boat.. how you feel about this new regulation of 300 feet deep?
A fine, informative video! But were your fishing live shrimp or fresh shrimp? After you pierce it's head (err. carapace) is it still live (alive)? Barely?
The fish usually eat it before I can find out! haha
That's really not a HA! HA! For you! That is the truth. Now for me the bait the bait would be out long enough to drown and/or become water-logged before a fish stumbled on it. Keep up the enjoyable and informative videos!!@@DieHardFishing
I always seem to do better on a high/ low rig . I like those whole shrimp they sell pretty cheap at the Mexican meat market.. cut them up into pieces and send them out!
I think you need air holes!!
Is there a way to catch them yourself?
On the East Coast we use live shrimp a lot, but big shrimp. Do you use Live shrimp over there?
It’s not super common tbh, if anything it’s usually ghost shrimp here. Lots of squid and sardines for bait
This is probably the closest thing we have to your live shrimp fishing!
love you
Donde consiguió los camarones vivos
kool!!!
Another fantastic video. I know this is off topic but does anyone know why Fisherman's Life hasn't been posting videos? I enjoy all these guys videos. I just hope Matt is doing well.
First ‼️💪🏽
⛽⛽⛽⛽
split tail perch, leader to long for pylons on the pier...
Those are pilings that hold up the pier. Pylons are for big power lines fyi. No shame.
Good to know!

What happened to fisherman’s life
That's waaaay to much work for those shrimp. Just pay $50 for a nice live bait bucket with a aerator. You're a UA-camr, so just write it off on your taxes like I do.🤷🏾♂️😂
Literally isn't that much work if you're using them the next day
@@joseduran7368 yeah or you can just buy a bait well. 🤷🏾♂️
@@TheFishAndTrips see that's more work and more expensive for the common folk
@@joseduran7368 yeah, but he's a UA-camr and is just a business expense.
