Is it really fair to treat all oleds as having infinite contrast, when some of them have higher brightness than others? I mean, yeah, it is pitch black but in relative terms, when the pitch black is just beside some 200 nits bright element makes a different effect than if it was alongside something that is 400 nits l, thus granting a difference in contrats even if the black is still full dark, bc the white can always be brighter. Idk, just so food for thought.
Why did Samsung think aggressive abl was the way to go for their 3rd gen panels? This makes last gen better in my eyes. WOLED 3rd gen panels actually really good right now
Hi Tim, I have a question! Why do they call the screen size 27” but it’s actually 26.5”? This seems to be quite normal across various monitor brands and sizes. Where is the .5” going and why?
Why do reviewers not mention stand wobble ever? This one looks solid, but many of these OLED monitor stands look like they would be wobbly af just from heavy typing.
If you aren't in a hurry i suppose you could wait it out and inevitably both the gpu and the monitor would support dp2.1, but till then I would think its a long wait to reach that point
@@brookdow no issues. That being said you kinda have 2 options 1) treat these monitors as an early adopter experience and let it simmer until either its cheaper or its downsides are now comparative to lcd tech (say burn in and that it Only covers ya for 3 years) Or enjoy the benefits now knowing full well that there is a chance that the expensive product would need to be bought again if yours fails after 3 years. I am not trying to pressure ya out of it but from what I have seen its basically only for those who can afford multiple monitors if things go south and not worth it if you can purchase once as your life savings (which i guess goes with any purchase)
If you mostly play in the dark then buy the QD-OLED, if you play in a room with a lot of light then get the WOLED...I personally think the QD-OLED looks much richer...However I have not had the best time with either one...I would warn you to look up VRR flicker from OLED...I went through 4 different OLED monitors from different brands and every single one of them had terrible VRR flicker...It doesn't bother some people, but it drove me nuts! Guys, I am really in a dilemma...help me out I have a 3060ti and I have been playing games on my LG-GN950-B Nano IPS 4k 144hz with DLSS Performance. I have two options - 1. I buy new GPU in 2025 - I might have to invest into a new PSU though. I have 750 W right now. 2. I buy a 1440p OLED monitor. What should I do? Should I buy OLED for my desktop. I have an OLED C3 120 hz as well but that is in my living room or maybe there is third option that I move OLED from living room to my room and buy a 60Hz TV for living room.
I really want an OLED but still can't pull the trigger as the cost of these panels are still to expensive for the gain IMO. I'm happy with my 2 IPS panels and my 1 VA panel for now.
You have 3 monitors which probably cost more than the oled or at least equivalent, and you complain that is too expensive. Like how do you even live when you cant afford 600 dollars to buy something that you need or like, I dont understand you people complaining that you cant afford an oled it is not like buying a house or an expesive car, its hilarious 😂 PS: its definitely worth it once you try an oled you can never go back to an lcd
Why aren't there more talk about the color banding (especially in dark scenes) that most, if not all, oled gaming monitors have depending on content you are watching? I just bought in to the reviewer hype over the XG27AQDMG only to discover that watching dark scenes (where oleds should be at their best) in some games (like cyberpunk 2077) and streaming services (like netflix) was an absolute horrible experience. Returned it after 2 days of testing and finding out that most oleds have this and that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. I will wait until Micro-leds become a thing in the future and keep using IPS until then. Oleds are seriously still in beta phase of development in my opinion. Products that cost this much should not have this many issues.
Color banding is usually a content issue rather than a panel issue, specially when talking about oleds, saying that you couldve gotten a bad unit with problems or any other reason, is not like ALL oled panels have that problem all the time
Funny how after so many years, you won't find ANY sort of oled or microLED FALD for a penny less than $1200aud? 🙄 Infact the market for 1440p pc monitors between $450-$1199aud is just pointless as they are just upcharged versions of what you can find for $400aud in IPS and VA with simple backlighting. Given how long it's been the case, one cannot even a QD-OLED for $1000aud; this is blatant artificial market segmentation!! Would be nice if channels like this could grow a spine and point out this fact.

This is why brightness and contrast are different measurements
Wow he actually listened to me nice
Will there be oled with around 400nits anywhere soon?
So the alienware one is better? I got the the AW2725DF for 700$
Why did Samsung think aggressive abl was the way to go for their 3rd gen panels? This makes last gen better in my eyes. WOLED 3rd gen panels actually really good right now
Is the only difference between this one and the PG27AQDP (480hz) one the max framerate?
this one is considerably cheaper then that one.
Other one better sub pixel layout, probably better hdr performance i dont remember.
99.5% dci p3 coverage is insane
Can you do the Sony M10 s 480 hz OLED???
What monitor shouldf i get koorui GN07 or koorui 27E3Q
27" WOLED 4K Glossy - till this I dont care...
How is the input lag when gaming under 360 hz
Hi Tim, I have a question! Why do they call the screen size 27” but it’s actually 26.5”? This seems to be quite normal across various monitor brands and sizes. Where is the .5” going and why?
Wtf is this braindead question 😂 what is wrong with you
all we need is a 1440p 25 inch 360 or higher hz w-oled with a glossy finish.
Why do reviewers not mention stand wobble ever? This one looks solid, but many of these OLED monitor stands look like they would be wobbly af just from heavy typing.
They need to make a 27 inch 1440p 1800r curved model for me to be interested.
Wonder if worth waiting for monitors with display port 2.1?
If you aren't in a hurry i suppose you could wait it out and inevitably both the gpu and the monitor would support dp2.1, but till then I would think its a long wait to reach that point
@LoneBeastYT sounds like could be next year lg got monitor coming out with dp 2.1 coming out soon could be sign 50 series come out with it
@@brookdow iirc lg monitor is also a not true 2.1 cause the bandwidth is still below the required amount for 1440p 480hz
@@LoneBeastYT was thinking could be the case thanks
@@brookdow no issues. That being said you kinda have 2 options
1) treat these monitors as an early adopter experience and let it simmer until either its cheaper or its downsides are now comparative to lcd tech (say burn in and that it Only covers ya for 3 years)
Or enjoy the benefits now knowing full well that there is a chance that the expensive product would need to be bought again if yours fails after 3 years.
I am not trying to pressure ya out of it but from what I have seen its basically only for those who can afford multiple monitors if things go south and not worth it if you can purchase once as your life savings (which i guess goes with any purchase)
Can't decide, woled or qd oled
If you mostly play in the dark then buy the QD-OLED, if you play in a room with a lot of light then get the WOLED...I personally think the QD-OLED looks much richer...However I have not had the best time with either one...I would warn you to look up VRR flicker from OLED...I went through 4 different OLED monitors from different brands and every single one of them had terrible VRR flicker...It doesn't bother some people, but it drove me nuts! I ended up buying a 4k Mini-Led and couldn't be happier...
How the input lag when ur playing under 360 hz
The naming of monitors can be confusing!😅
this vs msi mag 271qpx E2 pls
i'm still thinking about buying the Alienware 32inch the 1440 one.
70% gaming 30% watching.
Just saw on Amazon Samsung Odyssey G5 LC34 £350 🤔
i saw the alienware aw2725df go for 500usd +tax in canada lol
Is it even worth reviewing oled monitors anymore? I mean there specs between them are so similiar you wouldnt even notice it in person
I just ordered asus pg32ucdm!cant wait
I got an rtx 3080 10gb what would you recommend i upgrade to if I want to play rdr2 on 4k with max settings??
Could you review your experiences on 3080 10gb card with 4k 32' monitor? I got the same card but haven't yet pull a trigger on the oled.
I'm waiting for 4k 27' to come out while wondering if my card can pull off 4k with high setting in gaming.
@@Zerogenome it's going to be tough for new games. older games sure. 4k is demanding even for a 4090 if RT or PT is enabled.
2k 360 hz 10 bit????
Honestly, I think all I want is for a monitor like the PG27AQN to be ≤$500 (I know it's unrealistic, but still)
I'm not sure I need 360Hz. Or can have in any modern single player game.
the burning image will be in your eyes, with the front logo
Can turn it off
the only place trickle down economics works is in the technology industry lol the other day i saw a 360hz ips monitor go for $300 on amazon considering they were almost $1000 a couple years ago thats some insane value now available to average gamer.
the problem isnt capitalism..its the fed eroding our savings and the government making everything expensive..end the FED get rid of the income tax and cut spending in a major way..eliminate mass regulations..it be a great economy
hi when are u going to review g60sd or g80sd? will it be any soon?
this or msi or samsung g6?
or they all the same ? xd

Thanks to u for ur kindness just go for asus-lg-dell alienware they’re all goat
Guys, I am really in a dilemma...help me out
I have a 3060ti and I have been playing games on my LG-GN950-B Nano IPS 4k 144hz with DLSS Performance. I have two options -
When will there be the g sync pulsar panels???
Pulsar is an LCD technology
@ I know.. and its certainly better motion then any oled yet … you will see

I REALLY need ASUS to get rid of that *_GAMER_* LED mini-screen under the screen.
You can turn it off in the OSD.
@williamchacon9558 I know, but even without the actual light, as part of the design it's terrible
TCL34R83Q anyone? This looks, on paper, like a great OLED alternative.
Like how do you even live when you cant afford 600 dollars to buy something that you need or like, I dont understand you people complaining that you cant afford an oled it is not like buying a house or an expesive car, its hilarious 😂
PS: its definitely worth it once you try an oled you can never go back to an lcd
Waiting for 32"
I know it's a change in the editing workflow but I REALLY think you guys should start publishing videos in HDR, especially monitor reviews.
It is still too expensive in my town
Ips glow is 10000 times worse than any issue on oled, your loss
@@GFClocked VRR flicker can be pretty bad though and in those moments I wish that I were using VRR on IPS.
why would you even use VRR on a 480hz monitor 😭 just run your esports uncapped
Color banding is usually a content issue rather than a panel issue, specially when talking about oleds, saying that you couldve gotten a bad unit with problems or any other reason, is not like ALL oled panels have that problem all the time
@@heisen1815 Who are you even responding to? I don’t play esports games nor I use the LG 240/480 Hz panel.
this thing cost more than my pc
Funny how after so many years, you won't find ANY sort of oled or microLED FALD for a penny less than $1200aud? 🙄 Infact the market for 1440p pc monitors between $450-$1199aud is just pointless as they are just upcharged versions of what you can find for $400aud in IPS and VA with simple backlighting. Given how long it's been the case, one cannot even a QD-OLED for $1000aud; this is blatant artificial market segmentation!! Would be nice if channels like this could grow a spine and point out this fact.
is the woled 480hz better than this?
If you play one of the three games on the planet that can even do 480fps, and have a 9800x3d then sure
@@GFClocked non mi interessano gli hz, parlo del pannello in se, è meglio il woled 480 o il qd oled 360?
