Hey Matt! I loved this video and it got me thinking about the future of Lexus Performance. Considering that the GS production will be ceasing in the coming future, do you think that this will be end of the Lexus performance sedan as we know it. Originally the IS F was discontinued and now that GS will be discontinued as well, it would be cool if Lexus took the V8 from the LC500 and put it in the ES and defined it slightly.
The ES is FWD based, so anything beyond the F-Sport version would be tough to do. I think there’s a pretty good chance that the next-gen IS will get an F version.

that blue is so special though
@@stevornrichards1380that blue is something else. The yellow is okay.
Stevorn Richards I always loved the GS F in blue
A friend of mine has a GS F in red and it is menacing
Do you prefer this or the 2016(17) Cadillac V-Sport?
This is the car I’ve always wanted in the color I want! Glare yellow!!!
Flare
Super sad the GS got axed this car is literally the best sedan you can get ever. Its luxurious it has RELIABLE performance and its value will most likely not go down. Def my dream car and hopefully will get one soon
I love this car! The last of a dying breed!
For all those saying how slow this is, look at the rolling start numbers. Beats the 550, and a tenth behind an AMG GT63.
link me bro
Kinda of like a modern E39 M5👈
To all the comments regarding the $89k price tag- Just get a used one with 20k miles for under $50k. It will run forever and at 20k miles, still look and smell like a new car.
Not many ppl are buying these.. dealers still have new GSF's 2016 - 2018's new on their lots.. I predict this car will be like the ISF's from 2008 - 2014..
moe malik yea for 90k plus it’s not worth it but when it’s CPO used then yes very much worth it!
I figure in like 2 years I might be able to afford a 2016 GSF! These cars will be classics one day. This will be the Supra that I never had and still can’t afford💯💯👍🏿👍🏿
I got my GS-F after watching your first video, Matt.
I love it, but the transmission sucks in heavy traffic.
What are Lexus plans for this model? Are they gonna redesign or discontinue this are what? This generation been on sale forever now with no work on a replacement coming, it's time for something new.
I'd buy that car just for the noise lol
Can you also do a review on the RCF (not the track edition)
7:24…. If the Japanese couldn’t figure out how to make this particular area flush, you know nobody else could.
This must of been such a fatal blueprint flaw.
Oh you're in Jersey.. Maran
How's the ambient lighting at night inside that car?
It doesn’t really have any.
@@MattMaranMotoring that's rlly sad though cuz the cheaper gs350 does have it and it absolutely needs to have ambient lighting at minimum to be competitive with the Germans lool
No surprise he said the interior looked a little dated now. I thought the interior of this and the newer camer y when it came out looked dated from the start.
The pricing of this car is really hurting the image of this car yes as much as I like the N/A V8 fact of matter is that motor is a decade old and transmission.
Rhanier Santiago true but in another decade it will be one of the few Performance sedans that a car net would even consider buying.buying a 10-year-old used AMG or M car with no warranty it’s just out of the question.
My 2015 Gs350 f-sport is obsidian black with the peanut butter inside, but I have 16 way sport seats so idk why you only have 12. Also I will say even though I only have the V6 it’s still a really composed sporty driving car that hides the speed you’re going very well! Great job to Lexus and overall my favorite car to drive, I just wish they would keep it going 😭😭😭😭
what is that rattle? is it your camera rig or the car?
Camera mount on a rough road, sorry :/
A big selling point to this vehicle is that it will last forever without a litany of problems because of its simplicity. Unlike some of its competitors and that's coming from an M3 owner.
Would love to see a rcf review!!
That's a beautiful taxi
You had a GSF for an entire week and only put 176 miles on it?!
Shit, I would’ve put that in it per day
if I am not mistaking, GS F is the only car of that kind with vented bucket seats
i got one in 2016 blue. contemplating on upgrading to apexi evolution exhuast for even meaner sound
Isn't the GS lineup discontinued?
In Europe yes. In the US, the GS is alive (at least until 2021). Unfortunately, you’ll have to order online, because dealerships are not stocking them.
that side profile looking like the Infiniti Q50
Why is your audio so flat? It's been like that for years.
I was never fan of the GSF. I find it really hugly. Like... a lot !
But I hope they will find buyers for that. We really need sportscar that are doing things differently. The one GSF I know that is to be sold in my country, is to sell since last year.
This or a dodge charger widebody scat pack?
This. The build quality/interior/luxury/engine are far superior than a Chrysler product
Yellow actually really suits this car. Man that V8 noise too. Wanted an IS-F before I got the Mustang.
I want one in the future 🙏🏼😫
89k for a sports car that does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with a decent infotainment system and interior? Not worth it maybe used in a few years but 89k is way to much
Sadly used they hold value I couldn't get one locally for less than 50k and it was 3 years old with 70k miles on the damn thing
Wedow Then fuck it.
There are several used on-line 3 years old with 15000 -20000 miles in the low 50s
@@richardj3715 still for that money you can buy a new loaded Kia stinger brand new with money to spare. Or a cpo s6.
I still waiting for a new isf
I bet it’s a pain in the ass to replace headlights in those.
Hey Matt can you do a review of a 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 GT
This car doesn’t suit yellow quite well. Needs more carbon accents to match.
I wish I could afford this car
is that the worst color ever or am i colorblind?
I love this car!
Lexus gang
HOT DAMN 🥵. Damn hot looking car.
That yellow is money. This car will be a future classic. Love it wish I could afford one
Hopefully I'll be able to buy this car in 10 years when it gets cheaper haha
damn thats a yellow cab yellow
The price point really killed it for me and many other buyers. It's priced at an M5 range but performs like a 550i 🤔
abcdLeeXY A comparably equipped M5 will be $120k whereas the GSF comes fully loaded at $88-89k. However, you are right right about the M550i performance comparison.
@@arvinder4694 I wanna see that M550i, 5 years after it leaves the dealer and half the shit on it doesn't work. It will also have an interesting depreciation.
Marek D. Haha yes! Most people buy German cars thinking their exorbitant prices imply great reliability, when it really is just paying a high price for brand name.
is that yellow if so they knew wat they were doing giving you a yellow press car
Love the color but, the chrome trim around the windows combined with the polished portions of the wheels absolutely kills it for me in regards to the side profile.
A nice vehicle, to be sure. However they are wildly overpriced for the segment, IMO.
drwinlied it’s priced right. It’s a high performance sedan. It just needs 600hp so people like you can stop bitching
@@Toyota4Life agreed.
I really liked driving the GS F, but this yellow just doesn't do it for me.
Are u ok?
A little outdated looking on the sides, but awesome v8
I like your videos but you need a better camera.
Planning to upgrade cameras soon.
