Trust me I know what you mean about it taking a while to down shift when it is in automatic. I cannot stand that. Glad you gave us a year in review. I follow your channel and receive nothing but great info from your channel. Thanks again for sharing. Lexus GS-F for life lol
Nice car & I have a '23 IS500 that has the same V8. I have always wanted a GSF. My car is stock other than Borla Axleback, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (Summer-Tires) & aFe dry flow air filter. I clocked 0-60 last night 4.5 seconds with Traction Control off.
I love my 500 so freaking much, but the transmission (when left to its own devices) can be challenging. 😀 So I only drive mine in Sport S+ and Manual almost 100% of the time and keep the RPMs above 4k to stay in the power band. Other than the poor gas mileage as a result, the one thing bogging down the engine is taken care of. Thanks for posting, I look forward to seeing more!
If I’m honest I’m not one for throttle controllers as I fell they do nothing but mask the problem by tricking the cars computer into thinking you’re hitting the pedal harder than you actually are. My plan is to get a tune once I do headers and that tune should help drastically
The only thing i will say is the valley pan leak is probably coming. I have an 16 gsf and mine hit around 72k miles. Change the coolant frequently maybe.
@@SEsGarage according to forums, its somewhat prevalent over all lexus v8s. Except maybe the lc500, but those are super rare. Is500, and several v8 suvs have had it. You can drive the car with it, i did without realizing for about 2500 miles. I was quoted 1650 for a local shop to do the repair so might be something you can do yourself. Just dont break the 4 knock sensors, they are 3-400 dollars each. Otherwise bulletproof. Everyone i give a ride to loves it.
@@SEsGarage Yes i hear you just have to change the coolant every 5 years like you would if you were using Toyota red coolant. I have a GS460 with a 1UR FSE at 83k. I'm doing this schedule
Glad to see GSF content in 2024 please keep them coming!!!
Mine has only 21,000 miles, atomic silver with circuit red leather interior, all options.
aw man how is it? im 14 and my dream is to own one of these by 20
Looks like mine! I have a GS F 2017 bone stock. Enjoy your content, thanks!

Thanks for the kind words man! Appreciate you!

I was so close to buying an IS500! With my family I needed something a bit bigger so I had to go with the GS

I keep mine around 3.5k so I can enjoy the big baritone sound change around 3.8 and short shift 5.5k to repeat it
Have you considered adding a APEXi Throttle Controller? I’ve heard that it helps with the lag that’s suffered in these cars.

Я 8 лет думал об этой машине) И купил её пару месяцев назад. Но езжу на ней исключительно в выходные дни. В будни передвигаюсь на ES250.
I got a beat sonic apple car play interface and it makes the car looks modern. Love it !
Yeah the camry looks like it wants to be a track car so it just put on aero

Yeah I have it in the back of my mind! I actually went over this in another video I have going over common F car problems

Do you still have the stock axle back? If so are you interested in selling it?
I do, but unfortunately, I’ll be hanging onto it. I don’t like getting rid of stock parts because they add value when the time comes to sell it!
Transmission is different to 2007 IS f
Nope same trans
gave you a sub. i'm a toyota HQ employee and car enthusiast looking to get a IS500. i'm a puss so i usually keep things bone stock
Thanks for the sub! I so wish they gave the IS500 the full F cat treatment. I would’ve purchased one in a heartbeat
I keep my 2016 stock, besides brake pads, because it's so very good. 911 to Boxster to LS to GSF and start over. GS F is always exciting.
