It's too short if he's the executive producer that's responsible for the crappy way this movie is being shot. The last movie I worked on WE compensated everybody that was affected by the production, director David arquette even hand delivered a check to a woman who was somehow overlooked in the neighborhood where we were shooting. David also made a point of patronizing the businesses in the commercial spaces we shot in, ordering custom-made airbrushed hats for all the crew from a local graffiti art outlet.

This production rented gear from my business in Oakland in November, still haven’t paid the invoice for the gear that was used. It’s been nearly 8 months now.
It’s ok for people to get robbed constantly but someone tries to do business and you run them off

I understand their frustration but they should be worried about making downtown/uptown more presentable and safe for their patrons. Every time I ride thru yhat part of town it makes me sad bc it didn't use to look like it does now. This movie will be finished in a month and back to normal business.
There are a very few Bay Area artist who are the gate keepers to the industry and who they allow to make it from the bay. Too short & E-40 for example. Mac Dre was killed off because he was actually for the people. He did it independent and didn’t take no deal or sacrifice

There’s always someone complaining. No matter what. Then when people don’t come to Oakland to shop or live they will complain. It’s great that their filming in Oakland. With the crime and high rents happening that’s what people need to be worried about. Proper notice should have been given to the businesses and that’s on Oakland as permits had to be granted for shooting the film.
