My antistasi AI tutorial- ua-cam.com/video/E_B15ia908M/v-deo.html
i just started playing an thanks for the tips , ive been killing the pows now i know not to
why tf does it sound like an asmr tutorial rp
I can only assume he lives with other people or just likes talking extremely quietly.
@@mcvaluemenu This is just how he talks. I read something he posted stating he actually speaks a little louder in his videos than he usually talks.
it's actually refreshing to see someone playing and making tutorials who also doesn't have apex, some people seem to assume everyone has it, and thank you for the well made and helpful tutorial
You're welcome! I know what you mean about the DLC, the expectation that everyone plays with all DLC is a bit of elitist bollocks- some people can't afford it or like in my case I just never had a good reason to buy it.
Just watched through all of your Antistasi series. Man, you're doing fantastic work!
You got no glistering intros and millions of subscribers, just the pure beloved old-school entertainment of a person playing the same game as we do, commenting this with clean and attracting voice and actually putting effort to make videos interesting and to teach us new stuff about the mod. Thank you so much for what you're doing! I hope to see more of great content on your channel :3
upd: just tried - you can have a sidearm (pistol, a small SMG) equipped and still be undercover, though the character always takes if when you leave a vehicle so your undercover state breaks immideately.
Also you can skip the 30 minutes undercover cooldown by changing clothes
At one of many restarts I for some reason had an UAZ with DSHKM (soviet machine gun) in Civilian vehicle category, lul. Sadly I deleted that save
Thank you, while I'm not sure I deserve such high praise I'm happy you appreciate my content for what it is! I personally can't stand flashy intros so the most I'd ever end up doing would be a splash-screen which faded into the video, no dubstep and sensory overload here!
Under what sort of conditions could you be undercover while having a weapon equipped? I've never been undercover while holding a weapon and I even showed in this video me picking up a pistol which broke my undercover state as soon as I took it. Are you using some sort of mod which allows you to holster weapons perhaps? I know a lot of life mods use something like this and from content I've seen you always get your weapon out when leaving a vehicle. Even if this was something I could do I'd still recommend people to keep weapons in bags rather than risking the situation you described with losing your undercover state when getting out of the vehicle.
@@JackArden yyeeeaa, I think the Enhanced Movement mod adds an interaction menu which allows you to holster a sidearm, with it you can go undercover with pistol equipped but holstered. Sadly the character still always equips weapons when you get out of a car, so better carry them in a bag
@@JackArden 9 months late I know, but I believe he means you can have a sidearm on you holstered but not equipped as holstering it conceals it.
just started playing yesterday... what a wonderfully timed upload.
Wonderful timing indeed, I hope you're having fun with the mission file!
@@JackArden is it possible to edit what the arsenal has?
Hey jack, I'm getting started with Arma 3 antistasi thank you for the playthroughs and tutorials.
No problem, appreciate your support over all the time you've been around the channel!
Thanks mate, your videos made me play this mod!
I'm glad they inspired you to play it too! Feel free to drop a comment again if you run into any problems
Just started getting into Antistasi. You can change a few things in the code that the Author allows and even shows you where. Bit of extra hr and money and you can spawn units with Aks rather than old rifles. Its a very difficult game. Realistic in the fact that soldiers will whack you fast. Its addictive and immersive though. I like the interaction and the way you interact and influence the surroundings.
About my eighth time watching this video. The floating bunker finally makes sense.
Houdini never makes sense
The best asmr i've ever heard
Awesome Tutorial, loved you voice!
I'm glad it helped!
Very useful, gonna use your advice for my game
Glad the video helped, good luck in your game
Excellent info, many thanks.
You're welcome! I'm glad the video helped you
Thanks for the video. I wanted to play single player like you were doing and didn't know you could start it under the "single player" tab on the main menu. I had previously hosted a LAN multiplayer server, but that had no way of saving the current state of the game to my understanding. I'm looking forward to starting again now
You're welcome, it's always good to see my videos helping someone out- especially considering this one is months old now
@@JackArden im having the issue that i can only launch it in multiplayer, its not showing up under the single player scenarios.
@@karlrytter7738 Which version of the mission have you downloaded? The one linked in this video or a different one?
@@JackArden thanks for the reply on a 2 year old thread. I was running a newer version of it which can only be played by hosting a server.
@@karlrytter7738 No worries, I try to help out whenever I see a new comment. The version I have linked on this video should work fine as a scenario.
Good video helps alot thank you
You're welcome, I'm glad this helped you!
Immensely helpful video.
oh this is so good! I love the one about the mortars! I'm gonna abuse... I mean use that a lot lol
There's no reason not to abuse it, if you can soften your target up before you move in it gives you a much higher chance of your operation being successful. Mortar away, friend!
@@JackArden ikr, another thing i do with the "steal cargo" missions is hook up a civilian vehicle to them and drag them "home" :p
I think i need to try that with a roadblock.....
It's a shame you can't stay undercover using tow ropes, there's so many funny things you could do with them like with your roadblock idea. Dragging around some poor soldier on a machine gun would be hilarious. It's a good idea to use a civilian vehicle to tow the transports but they're armoured better than the MRAPs are and you would need to be about the same distance out to go undercover to tow as to fast travel out anyway.
@@JackArden hmmm, it must be a mod thing because on my RHS save I do stay undercover :s
@@LordInter That's odd. Every time I interact with tow ropes near an enemy I get detected. I'm only using the mods I showed in the video, the 3 compatible RHS packs and advanced movement.
This mod would be great if there were less enemy troops, because getting assaulted by 50 NATO riflemen, 4 HMG vehicles + more coming every 1-3 minutes just for capturing a single outpost cannot be described as fun and healthy expierence.
I believe it was playtested by a group of 8 people, so it makes a bit more sense when you think of it in terms of 8 people leading their own squads/operating vehicles. For the rest of us though, it does get a bit overwhelming at times.
Well, that undercover ammo box stealing is what I've been doing but with Destroy missions, stole 3 M6A2 so far from the same air base near Abdera, but I'll use the ammo box one now to get started. Always learning something new or getting new ideas from you Jack also new pfp!
That's funny, I got my M6A2s from the Abdera airbase too. (I'm going to assume pfp=profile picture) Yes, I also made a banner for the channel too. Just threw them together really, they're probably going to be temporary until I get some inspiration for something better.
@@JackArden looking good tho and yes pfp for profile pic :P
I'll start over once more and try to get a decent location, near abdera is nice but the airbase just ruins my day when messing with outposts, any idea for a good location?
@@Achef2tre There's a few decent places I know of- my favourite place to start is the group of buildings to the west of Oreokastro in the north west of the map. It's like a "training wheels" start since there's very little up here and it's all easy enough to capture. The unused factory building in the hills north of Negades works well, I've never seen it be patrolled to and you're very central in that left island area which is perfect for the mission. You'll get messed around by the airbases no matter what so it's good to be central to respond appropriately. Another position I'm considering using but haven't tried yet is across the bay west from Pyrgos. There's an unused military base here which has a big green tower, plenty of walls and the only road in has more towers on it to put statics in/around. My only concern would be your garrison trying to aimbot the enemy in Pyrgos over the bay or the other way around but the walls are pretty tall and it gives stupidly good coverage for anti-aircraft guns.
@@JackArden i know that base across from Pyrgos, AI shouldnt try to snipe, but if there's a sea port nearby history will be different. I'll start there and see how it goes, up north life is easy but also limited, I keep triggering QRFs for fun at this point lol. There's a good place on the portion of the island that inv force controls east? Of the abandoned resort, by the end of the road no issues but it's far and when playing with the RF as inv force well... Napalm tastes funny so to speak
Sure it's limited but there's nothing to stop you moving your base around and honestly I think it's best to do that as much as possible. Keeping close to the areas you want to work on gaining support on makes it a lot easier as random/requested mission spawns will be in that area more often.
I don't generally like playing near the invasion in the early stages of the game. If you've only got gear to just scrape by vs the government force and they can't stand up against the invasion it feels silly to make them angry early on.
Your accent is really intriguing me, it's like a cross between Queen's English and Yorkshire! Haha. Great vid BTW!
That has to be the most accurate that anyone's been about my accent haha, I appreciate the support!
@@JackArden no no, thank you for the video! Starting out on Antistasi today so it's a big help. If you don't mind my asking where abouts are you from? I could pick up the Yorkshire as I'm only over the road in East Lancashire haha
@@jimmydholden That makes sense, I'm from North Yorkshire. I'm glad the video was helpful for you
@@JackArden I thought the accent sounded familiar, I just moved to north yorks myself
I absolutely love accents and genealogy, where families have come from and where different families merged through marriage. Like me, I am a mix of north and central Europe; Norse, Anglo-Saxon, Scottish, Dutch, German and Polish. My surname even comes from a minor Anglo-Saxon noble family that was just east of St. Albans.
nice vids bro
cant wait to play it!
also i kinda want to make a series with it
gotta need a microphone..
Go for it! You should be fine with a headset microphone or whatever if you already have one, just use a program like Audacity to remove noise (like static) and you'll be good to go.
@@JackArden so... about that series...
Thanks for the help! Also 999th view!
You're welcome, I'm glad the video helped!
Hi i have problem with finds any nvgs and modern vechicels is there a special place with them? Im asking bcs i saw lots of gameplay where people have them and its really important for nights mission
I suck really really bad at this game mode but it is super fun for me. I live in a place with 800ms ping so the Single player version is wonderful for me and gives a TON of game time in one mission.
It realistically lasts as long as you're willing to play which is the great thing about these persistent missions. If you're looking for singleplayer value I'd recommend Overthrow. It's basically the same deal completion-wise however there's a complete economy with unrest levels affecting prices, shops to buy/sell at and businesses where you can create raw materials to craft weapons, vehicles and items with.
@@JackArden I grabbed it last night to try out as well because of this video! Lol just about to hop in
Hope it goes well!
Can anybody tell me how i take the civillian vehicles in towns? It does provide "get in as driver" but does nothing when selected
how do you save progress on a server? every time my friends and I play we have to restart :(
Go to the noticeboard in your base, select "game options" and make a persistent save. You can't use vanilla save mechanics as the mission uses several variables which aren't stored in a vanilla save to keep your progress.
Aweeeesomeee
thanks
Heyo Jack! I know it's super late mate but can you help out with a few things?
1. What exactly does capturing a resource do? I have not captured any Outpost but I have captured 4 resources and have added Garrison's. Is it any use capturing these without capturing the nearby outposts? And oh yeah the same question is for Factories too.
2. I am playing war Lord's of the Pacific and I have built bunkers on my base several times but each time I restart the game after persistent save they disappear! I have placed static weapons which don't disappear but the bunkers do (and yes bunkers not trenches). Any tips?
Capturing resources adds to your income by a flat amount, whereas factories add a multiplier to this number. So basically, a factory is almost useless without a resource. You'd want a resource dump first, but once you have one a factory can really boost your income.
Bunkers are broken, there's no tips, you can't fix them unfortunately. They'll either vanish completely or teleport around at random, which can lead to some pretty funny results like in my playthrough I had a floating bunker which would be inside a different building on each load, so my base was full of broken buildings before long.
I have an issue, when I spawn any vehicle from the base I can't drive it, it just doesn't move. Looks kinda like the wheels are a little stuck in the ground? I am running Ace3 and RHS mods.
Where are you spawning the vehicles in? There are some places on the map I have a similar issue, I'll have static weapons fall through the floor or vehicles will spawn in the floor making them unusable/explode etc. The best place I've found to spawn vehicles is on a road, it's the most flat surface you can spawn a vehicle on so you're less likely to have these issues.
wish this included setting up a dedicated server, even if it was a link to another guide and/or a server.cfg. I'm new to this and trying to figure that out.
nice video man, I was wondering if you knew how to get more uniforms in the arsenal? when I get crates there are never any in there, Im not sure why. I can only use the basic gorilla clothes even though I have the RHS mod.
That's actually a limitation of the base game. It's a war crime to wear your enemy's uniform, so the game stops you equipping other factions clothes. You can get mods which change this, then you can either spawn the uniforms in or loot them from bodies.
Hey dude, great video, just been playing on a server with a few of my mates and I'm wondering if you know of a way to use zeus in the gamemode? I want to be able to just top up my arsenal with a few guns and other things? Cheers
I don't believe that the mission has a zeus module added by default, but you can use a cheat menu from the steam workshop to give yourself the ability to enter zeus mode. Just be wary of doing this if your server has battleye enabled
How can I complete the arsenal, man? Cause we only start with 3 guns, that's it. And you have to collect guns to make them infinity in your arsenal, but I don't know if I can change that, or how many I have to get.
i have done all of this stuff and like a year ago i got modern troops in the game but i took a break from arma 3 and i have same mods enabled no conflicting ones and the rhs mods only spawn in cold war era enemies now like nato is using m16 and fals with old uniforms, and the russians are in their cold war uniforms as well
edit: also how do I get just opfor instead of nato controlling most of altis?
LMAO ASSASINATION MISSION GUY RAN HIM OVER FELL LIKE A RAGDOLL PMSL; LOVE THIS MOD
Any tutorial for this for nonsteam? the instructions online are confusing for me to follow
yo how do i add simplex support devices to this?
@jack Arden I watch your videos and they're great I play with all the same mods that you do but when I revive a downed enemy and release him instead of Saying go we don't want to be enemies I instead recruit him and my aggression goes up how do I change that
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy my videos! This depends on the type of enemies you're trying to release. Invasion forces and the lower ranking troops for the government forces (the ones in woodland camo with unarmoured vests) have a chance to be recruited when you release them. The military police and any government troops other than the woodland camo ones will be released and asked to spread that you're not an enemy. Unless there's a particular need to get as many releases as possible quickly, it'll be easier to go after the military police in towns.
Jack Arden ok thank you so much
yep i cant find any way to go undercover (except being in vehicle) but when i exit the vehicle without any gear on, i get shot. plz help
press Y
Awesome vids man. Appreciate it. I was wondering if there was a way to edit the arsenal. I just want unlimited kar98 And Back packs. everything to be scavenged. Can this be done?
I don't know of any ways other than using something like zeus to spawn in a container full of a certain item and transferring it to the arsenal box. This would be simple enough if you're playing on a server, or using a singleplayer cheat menu to enable zeus.
the back pack your wearing while undercover is counted in military so pulls you out, is there some what to fix this? on the official website wiki it states "all backpacks are safe to wear" but on game is states that you cannot go undercover with a non-civilian backpack when using any of the field packs.
EDIT: seems the assault backpack is safe to wear which seems a bit counter intuitive
I still seem to get immediately spotted when undercover and approaching a garrison, is that normal?
Apparently a lot of stuff in this guide still stands up today, but keep in mind it was made for a much older version than the current release. The website you found may have been for the old official release of the mission, where now most people are playing a community adaptation, so check where your version of the mission came from and make sure you're drawing information from the right sources. It can get a bit confusing otherwise, there are a lot of versions of this mission floating around!
The bag you wear in this version doesn't matter I don't think, but some adaptations may limit the types of bag you can wear. Try going undercover in your base with one on and see if it works, if not, you know there's no point trying out in the field.
Getting spotted when approaching a garrison generally depends on your war level. At low levels you're unlikely to be detected, at max level there's practically 0 chance you'll make it in without being spotted. It's always a chance and it never works 100% of the time, so take an approach with more cover so you have a better chance of getting back out if needs be. Also keep in mind the restriction of roads. Not all outposts have "real" roads in them, which basically means that a lot of side roads and paths through compounds aren't recognised by the mission as actual roads so you'll be detected by driving a certain distance away from the last road you were on.
So I know it’s been months since you uploaded this video man, and I may just go comment on a more recent Antistasi, but I played for over an hour and the game never saved. Does it auto save or should I have to save it?
There's no auto save and the vanilla save mechanics are not supported. You need to go to the whiteboard in your base and use the options there to create a persistent save. There's too much going on in the mission for a normal save, the file would just bloat and become unreadable by the game.
Jack Arden Thanks man, you’re one hell of a committed UA-camr for responding to a comment on a months old video btw
It's no big deal, glad to have helped. To be fair, YT sorts comments by most recent, not which video they're on so there's no excuse not to keep up with questions on old content!
how do you play antistasi with rhs and ace ? ive seen multibe videos but cant figure out how
Antistasi detects RHS automatically, so subscribe to the RHS USAF, AFRF and GREF packs on the workshop and activate them in the launcher before opening the game. ACE is a bit harder, the branch of the mission I play won't work with ACE medical so you need to remove the medical.pbo from the ACE install manually or subscribe to a version of the mod on the workshop with the medical module already removed. I'm not 100% but the community branch may have some support for ACE medical so it may work better there.
What Acog sight is he using?
I have been playing Antistasi with my frinds the past week and it was the first time I played arma3. I took a role of engineer and when i descovered that i can build trenches and such i went a bit over board and covered our hq in them, now we have some AI problems with path finding. Is there a way to deconstruct trenches/bunkers and so on?
Trenches should disappear when the garrison is unloaded, which requires all players to be a few KM away. Bunkers are persistent though, so the easiest way to remove these is to just move your HQ a few KM away and then back again. You'll have to recruit your garrison again, but when you move your base the HR and money you spent on them is refunded. Remember to garage your statics before you move!
@@JackArden well we've been playing for a week since i made them and they don't disappear. Does HQ ever unload?
Sometimes I come across flight recorders in weapons crates. Playing antistasi. What do those do?
I'm not entirely sure, I just assumed it was a mission item that got added to random loot tables in the mission file but I'll make a note to look into it and I'll see if I can find out by monday's video.
Jack Arden thanks!
lol i used to drive in enemy bases and picked up their arsenal box. just pretend to roleplay as charismatic private contractor who was sent to deliver military supplies to another base.
I have a dumb question. How do i get civilian clothes and how do i change them? I killed a civilian but couldnt put their clothes
You should have several kinds of civilian clothing in your arsenal box by default. You can't take clothing off of bodies because of how taking the uniform of an enemy soldier and wearing it is a warcrime, so the game was updated (yes, you could do this previously) to reflect how you shouldn't do this.
How does the radio tower work once you take it over? Its grayed out for me
The radio towers give a passive change in support in the towns surrounding the outpost, whoever owns the radio tower gains support every resource tick. If the tower itself is destroyed, this doesn't happen- though the enemy will repair the tower if they recapture the outpost. If the enemy controls the radio tower, they can use it to call for a larger QRF from airbases instead of just reinforcements from nearby outposts.
13:27 I dont believe thats true anymore. I legit just tried that mission and they blew me up right when I started to drive away. Lol
@Hayden Cannon I think it was because it was at an outpost and they had those huge guns on the towers that just destroyed the truck. Lol
I'm having problems with the loading of the mission it gets to the map before I can choose what I want aka the rebs vs gov and so on, also there is no red circles around points, plz help if you can.
I think I just have a fiffernt version but idk how to check that.
Where did you download the mission file from? If you subscribe to the mission file in the steam workshop link I've given then you'll be on the same version as me. There used to be a different branch of the mission file which went all the way up to version 1.8 and it was reverted back to the 1.0 version for stability so there's a confusing number of places to download it out there, including other people's adaptations of it.
@@JackArden ok I have gotten into the part where I choose the mission but after selecting the mission nothing happens, I'm just sitting in a dark area with the arsenal and other items. And again I can not choose where I place the base. I got the mission from the steam link. Idk what to do I'm still just sitting here.
That's odd. If you got the options to pick the gamemode and difficulty it should load the map after a few minutes. It definitely does take a few minutes on first starting the mission to initialise all the map elements, it won't happen instantly.
@@JackArden Ok well now it's working after I had restarted arma thanks for the help I probably wouldn't have figured it without you!
Is RHS required? I'm tryna get this working on a host with some friends and can't seem to do it
No, you can play without it. RHS is the natively supported pack of mods for Antistasi, other mods require a lot more work to get into the mission which is why you'll see RHS used a lot with this.
Can we just talk about how you can get a ton of gear by using the advanced sling loading mod and loading all of the outpost boxes from the entire map with the RHS heli. Can also use the sling loading script already included so you can sling load one more cargo that way
You would just need to stay about a KM away from any airbases if you didn't want to get shot down but yes that's a pretty quick way to do it.
@@JackArden I was thinking and I just remembered Ace has cargo, so you could load I think it's 2 or 3 more of those big cargo nets from the outposts directly into the heli as well, and maybe unload either partial or full contents of another net into the inventory of the heli too. Really you can be extremely efficient and get a TON of ez gear with a heli, expensive as it is. Though it doesn't work in Antistasi Plus
I just nabbed ARMA 3 on sale after watching a certain Brit funny moments youtuber and fell is love with the game. This guide really helped me set up my solo antistasi but before heading out it seems I did not spawn with any civie cloths or bags in my stash is this normal? if so how do I get that stuff without just murdering civvies or getting smashed while try too? thx in advance
Never mind I figured it all out. (I feel stupid)
Sorry for not catching this sooner! What happened with your stash? Might be handy to know if anyone else has the same issue
What do you see this is required because it won’t download
Jack Arden what are your custome keybindings and if you kan could you teach me some arma 3 am nieuwe and am not so good at arma
am still need help learning the controls
I don't use any custom keybindings, everything is default for me. If you're looking to learn the basics, play through the Bootcamp campaign, which will introduce you to the controls and then give firing drills a try to work on your aim. Anything specific you're not sure on, feel free to ask me here or on discord!
@@JackArden thank you
how do you make the sights look so nice and not like all the way zoomed in
Change your FOV, it also moves the weapon models further from your face so you can use stuff like ironsights without having 50% of your screen obstructed. Go to your A3 folder in your documents, find the profile you want to edit the FOV for and look for the two values "fovTop=" and "fovLeft=". I have top as 1.03 and left as 1.83 to give me a 90 degree FOV. No idea why this isn't a basic setting in the game but this works I guess!
I can't enter the drivers seat of vehicles for some reason, I'm new to arma in general so i might be doing something wrong, well do you know the issue?
Which vehicles are you trying to enter? If it's from a DLC you don't own, you can't drive the vehicle but you can still mount as a passenger. You also have to be on the driver side of most vehicles to be able to enter that seat from outside. Most vehicles also allow you to change to the driver seat from a passenger/gunner/commander seat, so try scrolling after getting in a different seat to see if you're able to drive.
@@JackArden none of the veichles allow me to, If so, which dlc do i have to purchase?
You'd only need DLC if you were trying to drive a vehicle from that DLC. When you approach the vehicle you should get small icons in the middle of the screen which indicate you can use the menu on the scroll wheel to pick a seat, or just press space to get in from there. If you're not getting that, you probably want to try verifying your game files through steam, reinstalling the game or uninstalling any mods which change gameplay mechanics.
@@JackArden Okay I will try that
How do you get you AI teammate to put on civilian clothes for the outpost part?
Nvm just found out
The gamemodes or resource difficulties doesn't show up in multi-player what do I do
They should appear whenever you start a new save file, get the host to disable auto-loading of save files on the server and start a new one when you log in
Jack have you brought a loot box for €10,000 if so was it worth it ?? Ps this is on the community version fp
I haven't played enough of the community version to know, I'm sorry!
Why play the older antistasi when the community version is out and has a lot of updates and some stability fixes?
This video was uploaded before that branch was available to play
How did you get your map to look like that in my game there are no red circles around enemie controlled towns or anything.
The red circles only appear when selecting a starting location so that you can see the patrol range of enemy positions.
@@JackArden Ah I understand now they weren't appearing for me but after I restarted the game it fixed I am new to arma 3 so I didn't know if it was an option in some menu I wasn't seeing thanks for the help.
No problem! They only show up in that scenario so you don't start the game right next to a patrol route and get your base destroyed immediately
i cant figure out how to get ammo or mags for my gun whe i spawned
You need to take ammo out of the arsenal box when you grab your gun. At the side you'll see categories for items, like primary weapons, secondary weapons, launchers etc. There will be an icon of a magazine, as well as one with an icon of a few magazines. One will show ammo you can use in your currently selected weapons, the other will be all ammo currently in your storage. You will immediately be able to tell the difference when you switch between the two.
Hey Jack, this is a bit of an old video but youtube sorts by most recent so I was hoping you could help me. Im not just new to antistasi but new to arma itself. How do I interact with the flag or Petros?
Use your scroll wheel, you'll notice that a menu appears in the top left. Scrolling will move the highlighted option, then either press space or your scroll wheel to select what you have highlighted. You can click to select these options too, but that tends to lead to.. unintended discharges of your weapon from time to time.
@@JackArden Thank you for your help and for the fast response. I really appreciate it.
No problem! If you are completely new to the game, I'd strongly recommend you play a few other missions, maybe give the East Wind campaign a play before you play Antistasi though. As far as enemy responses to your actions go, it's incredibly heavy-handed so it's worth getting a few hours under your belt before walking into a hail of gunfire
@@JackArden I've played East Wind and the old man scenario.
Fair enough, I figure it's usually worth the warning since people often pick it up as a first mission and get put off the game pretty quick through how grindy and difficult it can be. Not everyone believes you when you describe one of the attacks till everything goes boom and you're back to square one
Any other recommended mods for antistasi? If you have the tanks and jets dlc, will you eventually be able to buy those vehicles? Can you hire Ai friendlies to patrol your base?
You can't buy aircraft or armoured vehicles in most versions of the mission, so it wouldn't affect you by buying the DLC. You can hire AI, though generally I don't bother with them.
@@JackArden if you have the rhs mods installed, how do you know which faction is which?
You get friendly markers (if enabled) and each faction retains its map colour, so USAF has NATO's blue, AFRF has CSAT's red and GREF has AAF's green. Most of the uniforms are pretty distinct so you'll work out what you're looking at after a while. Failing that, if they shoot at you they aren't in your faction haha
@@JackArden cheers dude, but was more thinking for the faction selection screen. (gov vs reb etc) who is who there?
It still remains consistent with the base game, so USAF is NATO/BLUFOR/GOV, AFRF is CSAT/OPFOR/INV, GREF is AAF/IND/REB
The RHS factions arent appearing in my factions? how do i fix this
You need to be subscribed to the RHS factions on the Steam workshop, then enable the mod in your A3 launcher before you get into the actual game. When you launch up Antistasi and start the game it'll automatically detect which factions you have installed if you use the same version as me. If you're using a different version then you need to check if it supports different factions or if you need to repack the mission with the factions changed yourself.
No matter what i wear be it nothing it wont let me go undercover? Bug? Fix?
Does it give you a message when you try to go undercover? That usually (badly) explains what's stopping you from going undercover.
How do I select my bases starting location?
After the map initialises fully for the first time, it'll open your map for you. After closing the popup which tells you that you can now place your base, left click anywhere on the map and where you click is where your base will be. If you just close the map it'll keep the default position.
Dude how did you climb the building at 9:19 ?
That would be the advanced movement mod. I explain how to install and set this up at the start of this video
how did you get the american guns like the m4 and stuff
Using the RHS mods - steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=843770737
When I start a game with me and my friends, we can get guns out the crate but there is no ammo. The magazines are lit up green. Does that mean I need a mod? As you can tell I'm an absolute noob. Any help would be very much appreciated.
By "lit up green" do you mean the colour of the magazine icon next to the weapon in the arsenal screen? You'll need to select any container-type equipment (clothes, vest, bag) and then on the right you'll be able to add items to its inventory. In this case you'll just add the ammo that fits whichever weapon you equip. The colour is just supposed to give a rough indication of how well stocked you are for that particular weapon, with green being enough for everyone to use it, yellow being moderate supply and red meaning you can probably only run it once or twice more before you're out.
@@JackArden Yea I figured it out the next day. Thank you for your reply, it is much appreciated. This video helped a lot.
Ah fair enough, sorry I didn't reply sooner in that case!
@@JackArden no problem at all bud. Thanks for the reply.
do i need to download the RHS collection?
Not unless you want to use the units and gear in the RHS pack, Antistasi works with vanilla A3 also. I just showed how to get the same modpack I used in the playthrough I did at the time this video released.
How do you change enemy factions to stuff like CUP russians?????
If you want to use anything other than vanilla or RHS units you'll need to manually unpack the mission to change them. I recall seeing something about unit templates on the Antistasi forums so you may find an existing guide over there
hey, can I setup zeus for singleplayer?
If you want to use zeus in singleplayer you can either host a LAN game and play on your own or there are several mods which enable the menu in singleplayer, such as cheat menus.
Hey Jack
What if I get a mission to steal an ammotruck inside an outpost?
These dogs are very annoying!
If you can still get in the outpost without being detected I'd just say be quick about it. Recon the dog locations before you move in and speed your way through the outpost if possible. Otherwise you might just have to knock over the outpost the old-fashioned way!
@@JackArden Yeah.. Assaulting the outpost with stick and stones sounds like a great idea!
Just buy a mortar team. When the stones explode you don't even need the sticks.
Big question, so I want to fight against russians, I have all the RHS things but how would I "trade" out Nato for Rusfor. Even if it's just equipment
There's a BLUFOR version of the mission where you'll play against OPFOR. If you're using RHS, OPFOR will use AFRF gear.
I downloaded the antistasi mod but it won't show up in my mods tab?
Antistasi is not a mod, it is a mission and so it won't appear in the launcher. It will be in either your scenario list or the mission select in multiplayer
@@JackArden yeah sorry I just figured that out after i watched the full video :/
No worries, at least you know now!
You looked at warlords of the Pacific yet?
It's on my list of mission files to try, so when I'm done with my current mission I'll pick another out of that list. I'll get around to it eventually, though I know it's very similar to the version of antistasi I played (as in the v1.0 rollback was an Altis port of warlords)
I cant see the outposts in the map pls help
Which version of the mission are you playing? Are you letting the mission initialise before checking the map?
how do you save the game though...
Scroll on the noticeboard in your base and pick "game options", then "persistent save". If you look at the information box when you load into the mission it explains this for you, in case you need a refresher when you load the game.
Antistasi doesn't support vanilla saves due to the large number of variables and the tendency for vanilla saves to bloat to the point they're unreadable.
I need help . i want to be able to start with nothing in the arsenal so i can collect it .
You'd need to unpack and edit the mission in that case. There will be a .sqf script somewhere in there which ads all of the gear to the arsenal on game load. You'll probably have better luck asking about this in the antistasi forums!
@@JackArden thank you .I also have an issue where I load in and stuff I put in the arsenal is gone after restart .idk if there is a setting I gotta enable ?
Are you making sure to save by using the whiteboard at your base? Standard saving doesn't work in the mission
@@JackArdenawesome !
@@JackArden yea that was the issue
My base is in the swamp
Does the base have All Star playing on repeat on the radio? If not, why not?
Do u know how can i change the view??
In what sense? Your FoV or something else?
@@JackArden i just can see around 1 km
@@JackArden and in my play configuration i have 6km for view antistasi have and independ view

Some missions like antistasi do have their own view distance settings which they can overwrite your own settings with. If you want to change them in general, look for the "visibility" sliders in your settings. Those manage how far away you can see different parts of the game.
i cant go to undercover at all. even if i take EVERYTHING OFF... i cant go undercover. why?
What is your war level? Last time I played this mission (over a year since making this guide) you can't go undercover in high war levels anymore
@@JackArden i just started it and the first thing i was trying to figure out was, how to go undercover. I tried taking every piece of gear off when i first spawned. Then i bought a car and if i leave the car i lose my undercover. I tried to google for it, but didnt find anything...EDIT: i've never played antistasi before this
If you take absolutely everything off it won't work. You need to have civilian clothing equipped, and can only otherwise have a bag worn openly. If you want to go undercover you need to have any weapons or vests in your bag or stored in your car. Then press Y and then go undercover from there.
If that still won't work, try unsubscribing from the mission, restarting steam then subscribing again just in case your install of the mission is broken.
@@JackArden ok thanks. I'll try that tomorrow.
how do you get off the wanted list?
It's supposed to remove you from the list when you go back to base and use the repair/rearm feature on your vehicle box, but I've had mixed results with this. Change your clothing and garage/retreive your vehicle and it should work too.
@@JackArden thanks, that worked but i do seem to be spotted really quickly at outposts and whatnot
That's normal, it'll happen instantly when you get within a certain radius (usually 1-200m) of the centre of the map marker. The only way around it is to have a lower war level so that the chance is reduced.
@@JackArden ok, on a different issue my friends an i are having trouble getting started, we take a outpost/tower or whatever and then a couple of minutes later a bunch of tanks roll up and wipe the whole place, i can hire 20 defenders and it doesnt matter against tanks, not to mention that thye litterally just stand there and die and dont even try to fight back. how can you keep bases you take
That's because you're not supposed to take outposts when you first get started. Go back to your base and take some missions to win over support from the towns, do hit and run attacks on radio towers, factories and resource dumps to stunt enemy growth/development and then once you're in a better position and have gathered up some decent gear you can start to take on outposts.
There will almost always be a counterattack, but they have to come from an outpost, so start from somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and use mines and launchers to ambush the QRF somewhere more advantageous to you than sitting inside an outpost getting shelled. It's a guerilla warfare mission after all, you'll be up against overwhelming odds so have to use creative tactics to overcome this.

I HOPE YOU SEE THIS COMMENT, I REALLY NEED HELP.
You see I have about 20 mods installed up to about 4gb (NIArms All in One is the single big mod of guns that's making the mod folder 4gb).
So I know I'm kind of minimal on mods so I don't break my game. I see UA-camrs that claim to have up to 80gb of Arma 3 mods so I know I'm on the safe side.
But this CBA A3 mod (Community Base Addons A3) that so many Arma 3 mods require is the single mod that is responsible for breaking my single player mission checkpoints and save data.
I can start a mission/campaign with CBA 3, but when I want to reload a checkpoint (due to death or as a returning player), it shows an error 'You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted' and I know I didn't mess with any file.
I would have simply removed it since it's just one mod, but all my other mods require the mod in the load order to work.
Do you have anything that could help?
Thanks.
Sounds like either corrupted files somewhere or a conflict. Since you haven't listed anything you tried to fix this, I'm going to assume you haven't tried anything yet and that you don't know for certain that CBA is the problem, so bear with me and go through these IN ORDER:
1. First things first, always verify your A3 install through steam before trying anything else. It's the most automatic part of the process, so if it fixes things, fewer headaches for you. If any files redownload when your verification is done, try again to see if the problem persists.
2. If you installed these mods mid-save, start a new game and overwrite your save file. Sure it's annoying but if you install mods mid-playthrough you're going to encounter issues in a lot of cases.
3. If the issue persists on a new save, try playing a different mission to replicate the problem (maybe throw a quick one together in the editor where you spawn in, immediately autosave and then an enemy shoots you so you can replicate this as fast as possible). It might just be the mission you're playing which is the issue. If that's the case, check the workshop page for that mission and see if any conflicts are listed or if anyone else has the same issue.
4. If it's not the mission which is the issue, disable all mods in the launcher (don't unsubscribe on the steam workshop) and try them one by one (of course including dependencies where needed) until you find one which causes the issue. Disable that mod, then continue down the list and repeat till you have all your mods enabled except the ones which cause the issue.
5. Unsubscribe from the mods you confirmed to cause issues on the workshop, go through your game files and delete any remaining traces of them (configs, leftover folders with files in them etc) and then subscribe to them again to redownload fresh copies. Try again and see if the problem persists.
6. If it does, you've got a conflict. See which of your mods do the same things and only enable ONE mod in each conflicting situation.
Past that, I'm not sure what else you could try. This is general troubleshooting for modding any game, so you might find more specialised advice on an A3 forum. Hope you find your fix!
Thanks for this help, I just realised my game version is 1.82, since 2018. I've checked Arma 3's official game version changelog and I've seen the files I'm missing.
Thanks for the help tho.
Ah okay, maybe you'll be able to find older versions of mods on their Github (assuming they use it) though you'll struggle to find support for non-legitimate copies of the game
@@JackArden I did. I appreciate the help fam.
dont need advanced movement is cheaty and wasent suppose to be used this way

IF NOONE AHS APEX I SUGGEST GET IT ONE OF THE BEST DLC OUT THERE GOOD WEAPONS
I just want do desactivate the APEX cars and things in general
I'm not sure if you can without getting your hands on an earlier build of the game- all the DLCs are packaged with the base game download, they're only soft locked behind license tokens. It's up to the mission maker if they actually use this content though, so if you know how to unpack and repack missions you could always edit them out of the potential spawns.
