- I ended up getting another tank while trying to record a different idea for this video, though that one didn't work out so well. Instead, I decided to use the tank as my weapon of choice, but this time backed up with several mobile anti-aircraft guns. Those things.... they're good.

Which one did they fix? The arsenal box exploit? I'm not really looking forward to the 1.4 release, reading the "roadmap" forum post on the antistasi website doesn't really give me high hopes for it. At its core, antistasi is a broken mission file, there are way too many bugs to be adding new content at the moment. Sure, I've gotten used to working around a lot of the more common bugs but new ones turn up all the time (like the second tank getting deleted in this video). To top it off, there's talk of implementing features from the 1.8 version which was abandoned because it was too buggy to keep working with. I'd really like to do another playthrough on this mission file but until a much-needed bug fix is implemented I'll look at other mission files to record once this series is done.
@@JackArden going in as undercover and stealing ammo boxes is not possible in 1.9, even if you do nothing, getting about 100m from enemy locations blows your cover away, there was some major optimization for FPS as far as my potato could see but in general there's still lots of issues, some of the features are great ngl, gives a bit more... to do but I do agree mission itself is broken, one thing I want to see back in IND version of Antistasi is power plants
@@Achef2tre Yes, power plants were an excellent addition and actually made public support a mechanic with some depth to it. Radio towers feel quite underwhelming, they only have an effect if you're already the dominant faction of a town and they only serve to stop support of other factions growing- which is rendered useless by counterattacks on towns immediately removing all support for the resistance there.
@@JackArden Yeah radio towers have been a no no for me, just avoiding them like the plague, never changed any balance of the play unless it was BLUFOR version of the map for some reason.
1.9 has the supplies for towns feature alongside power plants, so far seems it's working good, there's some changes on the commander menu, but expecting to see more things to do and ways to gain control over sectors

Unfortunately this playthrough is on single player so we wouldn't be able to use this one if we played multiplayer. The whole point of this series was to complete a mission alone which was intended for a group but there's always the possibility of some multiplayer stuff in the future!

Do you ever play grand strategy games like Hoi4 and Ck2? I think a series on those games would be pretty entertaining.
I think the closest I've played to an actual grand strategy game would be 4x strategy like Civilisation or something along the lines of Mount & Blade, I actually have CK2 on my steam account, though I've never played it. I'll install it and give it a try!
@@JackArden i think those games would fit your channel pretty well, you should definitely play some mount and blade bannerlord when it is released
@@caden8255 I've definitely got my eye on bannerlord though I'm currently trying to wrap my head around CK2's menus. So many buttons to press and I have no idea what any of them do yet haha
@@JackArden There's definitely a learning curve to paradox games, i just bought Victoria 2 and its taken a bit to get used to. Its a lot of fun once you get used to the controls and learn how everything works though.
@@caden8255 As far as Paradox goes I'd say it's less of a learning curve and more of a patience mountain for figuring out how their incredibly unintuitive designs work. One moment you might feel like there's no game to even play and then you find one collapsible menu and suddenly you've unearthed 20 features you didn't even know existed.

It's not that I can't, with the time I spend on the other two videos I could swap them both out for one extra antistasi video though I'd just get burnt out of the game if I played nothing but ArmA. I understand it'd likely grow the channel faster but that's not a fair trade in my eyes- I'd hope people would prefer higher quality videos than higher quantity where I'm not enjoying making them.

It really was, it seems like such a simple oversight too... Is this vehicle towing something? Yes? Don't let me garage it or just break the tow ropes!
Jack Arden the garage system is just really buggy anyway. I was just looking through my garage and I came across my civilian helicopter, it killed me instantly and blasted my body to space.
I've had a similar experience with vehicles spawning in sideways and exploding in the floor. Apparently any wall, as high or low as it may be (including the damn bushes), can allow you to spawn your vehicle in sideways, leaving half of it in the floor.

Hey, I've been playing Antistasi with my friends for a few days now, and we haven't seen any AK's, M16's, M4's etc. We only encounter enemies with MX rifles and it's variations. Can you help me why is this the case? I'd like to play with the more popular weapons from real life. Btw we don't have the Apex DLC (though we're considering buying it), but we do have weapons from Apex, we just can't use them, so I don't think that this is why we can't find these weapons.
Which mods are you all playing with? The AKs, M16s etc are all part of the RHS mod packs and you'll be finding other guns like the MXs, MTARs etc if you're just playing with the base game as those are the base A3 guns. I also don't own apex, yet find apex guns so I can confirm that the DLC won't be your issue.
@@JackArden I don't have any mods, we just bought Arma on the Summer Sales, so we are new to the game. We only downloaded A3 Antistasi Antis from the Workshop and started playing.

It's my quick start guide for antistasi, the first section talks you through installing all the mods that you see me playing with in this series. Each player will need the appropriate mods loaded onto their client. As for your server, you'll likely be better off looking at how your host recommends you configure mods as you'll also need the content loaded server-side and this process is very different.

Whenever you install mods you "should" start a new game as you'll have inconsistencies like having vehicles and equipment you would have never normally had access to or some enemy garrisons may still have base game equipment until you kill them all and they respawn but I don't think it'll be required. You can always back up your server files just in case though.
