+Tom Steel (Tom's inflatable chicks) I agree the set up is important live but the building is a factor too its a combo of how well the crew can adjust to different environments
You probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
James’s right hand is a freakin beast for chugging along for 3+ hours a night with no breaks. So glad I got to see them on this tour and am going to have the opportunity to do it again in May
@@soloistdeve Absolutely. I have a hard time getting through ONE of their toughest songs, while playing alone with zero pressure. It's hard to even imagine the stamina needed to play an entire setlist worth of downpicking. As *ANY* type of guitarist, I feel it's impossible not to appreciate James' ability.
James may be 52 but that intro kicks in, the feet go wide, and he becomes that 20-year-old metal head kid again. The chops are still there, so why not keep rocking out? The songs keep coming, because this is not just "hard" -- it is an excellent song.
D'you see em lately?! 😳 They're in the best shape I've seen in the last twenty years, easily. Lars discovered tempos, Kirk studied solos, Rob learned to sing, and James...remains consistently awesome. They're in such good shape, I suspect they might even huck us a live version of "Frayed Ends of Sanity" before long. Fingers crossed! 🤞
I STILL CANT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE NEW METALLICA ALBUM! ITS MILLION YEARS AWAY BETTER THAN WHAT I EXPECTED. MAYBE ONE OF THE BEST METALLICA ALBUMS...
it's going to be a fantastic tour. these songs are going to be really good live. can you imagine singing along with 20 -100 thousand people "... youre falling but you think you're flying high, high agaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiin!"
and there we have it.. when you see these guys live and feel that power you know why they are the biggest heavy metal band of all time.. with respect to the other great bands, they really are the kings
It’s crazy that Metallica have been around for almost 40 years and they can still crank out songs as good as this. More to come from the greatest band ever!!
Absofuckinglutely. It almost isn't fair. Been a fan for over 30 years and it's been awesome to watch who he was and what he's grown into. He's the Fonz of music.
Sozen DryaginS Same here. Been a fan since the Master of Puppets days. I use to be in a band and we did Metallica covers and I'm pretty sure we were the worst group ever to try to play their songs. We'd get to a part of a song that was too hard for us to play and decide to just skip that part. I had 7 Metallica shirts (one for each day of the week) that I wore to school and I had the nerve to think I was one of the "cool" kids.
All sounds so perfect !! And the drums maaaaaann....So sweet ! Congrats to the one that mixed this. My favorite of the album, besides Spit Out The Bone of course !
This show sounded REALLY good!!!!! I heard it on XM, and I could have sworn it was from the 90's! James sounded great this night, everyone sounded great! "Orion" was amazing that night too!!!!
Check out Metallica's gear and you'll realize they use wireless systems for their guitars. Most performers use these systems as they don't want to trip over their cables on stage.
@@davidebaso6994 So every instance where the live version has sounded different (read: the extended bridge section on every live version of Creeping Death since the '80s) doesn't exist?
My god this song kicks maximum ass! The sound on this live mix is awesome too, they sound so powerful. Haven't sounded this tight in years. Bring on 2016 Metallica!
Alex Hughes that's because the double bass parts on the record are completely quantized, as well as most of the fills. It is baffling that he completely omits these parts live because it's better than trying and failing. I get that an album is it's own entity, but many of the double bass parts on the record are trademark parts of the songs.
Alex Hughes Actually if you listen better You'll here that double bass is bumping Bass is not good in mix But you can clearlly hear that he is doing it
greatest concert i've ever been to. when they came out and played breadfan i lost my shit. then when they followed up with holier i found shit i didnt even know i had then lost that too
Honestly, I find it a little surreal (in a Great Way!) to see the Lads from San Francisco playing smaller rooms, esp. historically black concert halls like the Apollo and Webster Hall! Live at Vans, etc.
GunsnRosesfan2012 from the penguin logo I'm guessing you're in Pittsburgh. Same here. I hope they come here and will pay anything lol. They haven't been here since 04.
Lars promised back in 2010 in Lithuania that they will be back very fucking soon, sadly it's taking long as this album! hopefully they'll visit us again in new tour
The best live version for Moth Into Flame right here.
I love when they play in places like that, the sound of the guitars are so strong and surrounding. Awesome performance.
+Tom Steel (Tom's inflatable chicks) I agree the set up is important live but the building is a factor too its a combo of how well the crew can adjust to different environments
+Aaron Mcclure recording studies are used for a reason
Martin RR true
Martin RR I hate it when they play in places like this, cause theres NO FUCKING DOUBLE BASS TO BE HEARD.
Agreed, I think they prefer it too, as much as they like the snakepit I think they prefer small club gatherings.
Jesus that was flawless. Not just the band but the mixing is fucking just....wow
I agree 100% I have to get this cd
It flawless. Lars skipped the fill before the final verse and I think he also skipped the double bass at the ending. Still, sounds great.
I wish the mix on the album was this good. The album lacks a lot of power. It’s all drums and high end. No ass. This mix is phenomenal.
Completely agree. All levels hit hard!
You probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
Damn!! This riffs are fucking crazy,2023 and still listening 🤘
What a killer performance! Sound mix was great too.
Matthew Lyon agree!!!
Mix sounds great. My thoughts exactly.
Holy shit...this song sounds even better live! 🤘🤘
OH YEAH \m/
Jason M IKR. AMAZINGGGG
Jason M it was, I was lucky enough to be there. Best 25 dollars ever spent!!!!!
Pino1986 25 dollars??!!
Pino1986 I thought this was a metalloca concert not Eminem singing at a country club
This is why I love Metallica..when James is talking to the crowd, he's James..but as soon as the music starts..THEY ARE METALLICA..
This is better than studio version
MAN! THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME, I'M HAVING EARGASMS
love to hear the demo.. got a link?
besides the solo
I agree, but mainly because the album mix is so freaking overprocessed and sterile. Lars doesnt play all of his fills though.
They tuned it down and they just fucking released it.
James’s right hand is a freakin beast for chugging along for 3+ hours a night with no breaks. So glad I got to see them on this tour and am going to have the opportunity to do it again in May
Otis Moran what about Kirk?
@@RyderHaas Kirk takes breaks when he's soloing but James still chugging it non-stop throught the song. Guy's a machine.
2+

Nice to see the guitar tech actually tuned their guitars together this time.
After seeing this played live you feel it in your chest for days.. the guitars.. it’s great!!
People think this band have had it now because they're old. But let's all be honest now...this is some good, head banging shit.
D'you see em lately?! 😳

alex vaits best since black album for me!
Olivier Bertrand I respect that. 3 days now, i realize that this is a great year for Metallica fans!

nigel fairweather great times comming!
Guitar, bass and drums sounded perfect! Those vocals had that live Metallica feel you can't match or beat!
man, this song is so heavy, very catchy also... can't wait to hear whole stadiums to sing it along
still in love with the song
So good quality on this video, holy shit
Yeah its metallicas on sound guys working

At Home Hendrix F'd Up👆 All of Us! 🤘
Drew Bkk dudes 50 and still kicking ass
James is amazing, Kirk is goals, Robert plays flawlessly and Lars is back in business
It's so awesome to finally hear James' voice in top form again.

I love since I was 15, I'm 37 today
James: let's see if we can play it live...

😂😂😂
Der Schlagzeuger ist immer schuld 😂
he did pretty good job now tho
All sounds so perfect !! And the drums maaaaaann....So sweet ! Congrats to the one that mixed this.
My favorite of the album, besides Spit Out The Bone of course !
Big Mick has done all of Metallicas live sound since '86, awesome dude, pretty much the 5th member!
big mick may mix the live sound, but i think who recorded this and mix it till we can hear this on youtube is Mike Gillies, their archiver.
kreshBACON yea this and Bone are instant classics
drum samples!! They edited and mixed Webster which came out a month later: Not a live mix guys
kreshBACON except he missed the fill after the solo..oh well, first time playing it live..guess I can't be critical
Drums sound fucking amazing here. The mixing ruins the drums so often, so whoever mixed this, keep it up!
Probably venue plays a role here.
Greg Fidelman mixed this show.
Think Fedelman mixed it. I agree with you, I was about to purchase it, and saw it was mixed by him. Sounds great!
Fonzy Brookestone where can I puchase it?
Gregory Geithner Pre order CD at Metallica.com or download now at livemetallica.com
Might be the best James has sounded. These guys are still pushing, shows a lot of love for the fans and the music. Thanks Dudes \m/
The sound of bass guitar's in this song is so plump. Perfect! \m/
This show sounded REALLY good!!!!! I heard it on XM, and I could have sworn it was from the 90's! James sounded great this night, everyone sounded great! "Orion" was amazing that night too!!!!
0:23 "8 years run by fast, huh? *strum* Not for you guys, right?"
Some guy in the left ear: "No, not so much"
Metallica crowds are wild
Love the twin-guitar melodies on this one
This is how Metallica should sound live. Good mixing and sound quality in this one.
James’s down picking -
So HEAVY, yet so Light on its feet at the same time
God Damn
WOW, this shit sounds so fucking good. Love that guitar tone and the drums sound amazing as well!
james is the riff master and always will be
I will always remember and love the memory of this concert!!! Metallica you are AMAZING!
James sounds like he did back in the day!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!! The whole band Rocking!!!
- lets see if this guys can play it live
Lars: fawk you jaymz
maldito Mexicano
Lars, he sucks on the drums .. it's amazing

la persona orribile

Lars did well except for when he dropped the fill at 5:36

Been fan since 84 i think Metallica just got better every time they put out a new album can't wait for tour
This song is so good
Byl jsem na vás, když jste byli v Praze a moc se mě to tam díky vám líbilo. Za to vám dávám palec nahoru.
Is it just me or do they sound like they've gotten alot more better? I'm glad they finally released Hardwired after 8 long fucking years
new album production and playing is better than the last few album's they have done
This is why they're the best even after all these years! They just kill it live.
Killer performance by metallica, one of my favorite songs off hardwired to self destruct😝🎙️🎸😎😍🤘🤘🤘
this song is literally like a message to younger artists, especially pop artists
They fucking killed it, especially since they played it faster!
Omg love you James ❤
best song of the album

greatest concert i've ever been to. when they came out and played breadfan i lost my shit. then when they followed up with holier i found shit i didnt even know i had then lost that too
Awesome. Loved Metallica since 84, still love 'em now. I think the new album is great. Plain and simple. Goodnight everyone.

So happy for these guys, especially Rob. Another great song. Band came full circle on this album.
What a killer song!
Credit to ALL of these band members. Amazing
