I’ve loved every Metallica album from Kill Em All to Hardwired (excluding Lulu) and honestly, Hardwired is the best damn album since the black album. I loved Death Magnetic and ReLoad, but as an overall album, Hardwired is amazing.

The riff of the bridge at 6:38 is why James Hetfield was and is and will always be the greatest riff lord of all times...NO ONE else could have written that...after 1,523 EPIC riffs to write THIS one...be thankful to have been alive during his reign...Papa Het I salute you! GOAT!

What an epic song. Metallica is the best band ever. Many bands can make a few great songs, but the amount of great songs from Metallica is totally unmatched by other bands/artists regardless of genre. And most of them kinda run out of ideas. Being able to produce a song like this 35 years into your career is spectacular.

Man. I love Hardwired. It marks a new era of creativity of songs that have meaning and that sound awesome in concert! I've been a huge fan since I was 18 in 1989 and have watched them evolve from the thrash/speed metal genre to legitimate formidable musicians.

He put a cd in and was like check this out, he put on for whom the bell tolls and my mind was blown. We started listening to the rest of the cd and I couldn’t believe that every song was better then the last. 20 years later and Metallica is still my favorite band and ride the lightning is my favorite cd ever. Metallica has got me through some really rough times in my life, they are simply the best.

He's not. His timing amd his fills here are amateurish. Yes, you can recognise his style, you may find him entertaining, i don't have any problems with that - i don't have any problems with him - but from a technical point he sucks.

Lars is technically good but not perfect, most of the time he loses his timing, has serious problems with fills. But in the end, he managed to make those failures became a style, and to be fair, I think he is better this way. Everybody can play perfect, but nobody can make his mistakes which is a good thing because thats what makes him Lars Ulrich. also most of those fails doesn't sound so bad. to sum up, he is not a really good drummer by technical manners but if you don't seek technical perfection, he is one of the best drummers in the world..
What a composition! I know there is contention about the transition between timing and keys, but the way it's done is intentional and carries the feel and story of the song, IMO. And let's just talk about the bass!! Oh man, what a bass track! Four Horsemen was to me Cliff's highlight. This may well be Rob's.
I Think one of the reasons I love this band so much is because they adapt and morph to the current sound and at the same time they are the ones setting the trend. It’s funny sometimes when i feel like I’m losing my sense of self, the first thing i do is turn on MetallicA because that is not a trend for me or something anyone else imposed on me (although I’d love them anyway , imposed or not) but this band is something that even when i was 10, i loved. It er, they are something that just intrinsically grabs me and sometimes I’m dumbfounded by the brilliance and especially amazed at the song’s structure, and other times i just close my eyes, and i cannot imagine anything that sounds better!
Such an epic and flawless performance for one of the best Metallica songs. After 35 years in the game they remain on the top, trully remarkable and unique🤘
