      @Samuel Kevin thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
      Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    I very much appreciate this! Many years ago in a karate tournament my opponent attacked me with this throw, took me down, and scored the first point. He tried it again, but this time, I braced and had the better position and took him down and scored and eventually won the match. I'm not very big and he was my size also. I remember thinking when I saw that before we started that I would win easily as everybody I had fought was bigger than me. But then, everybody he had fought was bigger than him. I learned a lot of lessons that day :-)

    Thank you man..you’re the only judoka I’ve seen that isn’t concerned with Bjj vs judo instead how can judo become part of the Bjj game and vice-versa. Respect

      More practice. Don't look at the feet. Feel your opponent's reaction. I think that's good advice for all throws.

    so cool but if you can tell that he is putting his weight on the opposite leg couldnt you go inside on the opposite leg and take him down with an inside leg sweep? i mean youll end up in a different position but still

      @sway71 3 роки тому +1

      Yep! That's pretty much the concept he's talking about. It's about having the two techniques that are typically opposite in some way but still complimentary. Uchi mata and tomoe nage, kouchi gari and seoi nage, etc. Same thing goes with grip fighting, where your opponent's reaction to establishing a dominant grip can be used to facilitate a throw (Shintaro has a SUPER cool video on this). Just remember that it applies to literally everything (yes, even striking).
