That “Thanos is coming! He’s coming..” line from Bruce always gives me chills. Such an epic movie, the villain as the protagonist and everything is just so amazing. Not as epic as Endgame, but we’ll get to that…

Hey cmon now Most of the fandom doesnt even remember theese details on first watch and most of them get the details from chanels like new rockstars, canadian lad etc
GOD, I remember. A few months before Infinity War came out, I had never seen a single Marvel movie. My boyfriend was so hyped for the film, we got our tickets and I started binging ALL the Marvel movies to be ready for that (and we had to somehow find footage of Black Panther, because it wasn't home released yet, but also not in the cinemas anymore, that was difficult)
Watching this made me realize that Tony has gotten into it with every new person he's met 😂😂😂 It always feels like a fight for dominance with him. The only person Tony seemed to have liked right off the bat was Bruce, so it's fitting that he was the one made to convince him that Thanos was a threat.
I mean, who else could Heimdall send? Thor? He was the leader of Asgard, so he had to (and wanted to) stay with his people. Loki? Considering his past on Earth, people wouldn´t trust him immediately, which would cost them time. Some other Asgardian? They wouldn´t know who to contact as they don´t know basicaly anything about Earth. Bruce was the only logical choice.
@@veronikamajerova4564 Thor wasn't with his people. All other survivors had already been sent away with Valkyrie by that scene. Heimdall chose Hulk because he could only send one and Thor had more likelihood of surviving. And additionally I didn't mean in a script sense, but in a cinematic sense.
25:00 It's worse than most people realize. Thor lost his mom a few years ago, His dad about a month ago, his planet a week ago, and everyone else yesterday.. Considering he's 1500 years old, that might as well all have been this week for him!
as a nod to chadwick, keep in mind that for every marvel movie he played t'challa in, he was dealing with severe stomach cancer. and no one knew until he passed. absolute boss, he was. :(
It blows me away to think he was sick so that time making all of his movies and just pressed on. No one at Marvel k ew he was sick until the morning he died ☹️
@@corinnaburtchell3409 There were people that knew. They didn't know how severe it was. It doesn't mean they couldn't still be surprised with his death, because he may have told them he had it under control, or that it wouldn't affect his acting. Could have been a Tony Iommi or Eddie Van Halen 'I can just power through it and be fine' thing. He absolutely told people that knew about it that he didn't want it getting out, though. He didn't want his career covered with the asterisk of pity, and I find that laudable.
@@AdeptusCaeiusIII I'm with you, how could they NOT know! However, I can't find it anywhere that they did know. Black Panter was released January 2018, Infinity War April 2018, Endgame April 2019 (filmed Ma Rainey's Black Bottom July 2019 - Released November2020), his last public appearance was at the NBA Allstar Game in February 2020 , he looked thinner in the face but he covered his upper body with layers of clothes. The pictures/video of him with severe weight loss was about July 2020 and he passed August 28th.
@@corinnaburtchell3409 Supposedly, he had told people. A few stories came out after his death about him telling Make a Wish kids what the course of their treatment would be so they wouldn't feel alone. Raised a lot of eyebrows at the time, but he told people that he wanted it kept under wraps. I believe the people on-set when Endgame was filmed knew about the cancer, too. It would be INCREDIBLY hard to keep it from people you're with most of the day for months.
HE’S FINALLY MADE IT!! My god I have NEVER had a movie theater experience as good as this. Audience was into it and I went with all my (who I thought were) friends and it was a BLAST! The silence when the snap happen was crazy.
Fun fact, In Guardians of the Galaxy 1, the Nova Corp say Gamora is the last of her kind....so Thanos plan didn’t actually work for her species. Its also stands to reason he never went back to check and just assumed he was right. Crazy.
Reading through the comments here, I have to say and agree that, you should definitely without question watch them again! As I find myself that you'll always miss certain thing's that you will pick up on the next time watching! Plus awesome movies anyway! So worth watching again regardless! Take it easy Alex my man.
. . . and every other movie. He's too busy thinking up stuff to say, and showing off his supposed goose bumps, to actually pay attention to the movies.
Aww yes!! It’s finally here! “And for another, we have a Hulk” Loki used the same line Tony used on him in The Avengers. This and Endgame have a lot of callbacks “No resurrections this time” Thanos made sure we all knew Loki wasn’t coming back “Tony why do you have a flip phone for?” It’s the phone Steve gave to him at the end of Civil War with the letter saying he’d be there to fight if needed “Hey Doc, you wouldn’t happen to be moving your hair would you?” “Not at the moment, no” if you look closely throughout the movie Strange’s hair is constantly just moving even when it shouldn’t be so that line indicates he’s moving it on purpose for some reason Thanos’ lines in this movie are so fucken iconic. They get memed a lot but still they’re some of the coldest lines in CBM history. Which is only fair since he’s one of, if not, the best villain ever “Grimace?” The Grimace was this purple blob that used to be a mascot for McDonald’s way back in the day When Spider-Man meets up with Tony and says it’s his fault he’s there and Tony asks “what did you say?” If you look, Strange’s cloak moves in a way that makes it look like it too just asked the same question. I love these subtle little details Fun fact: the arms in Spider-Man’s suit are called waldos To answer your question, anyone can wield the gauntlet and use it. In the comics Nebula wields it but iirc she doesn’t have the same mental fortitude that Thanos has so it kinda goes haywire Fun fact #2: Dave Batista improvised the “why is Gamora?” Gamora wanted Quill to kill her so Thanos couldn’t extort the info about where the soul stone was from her. No one (aside from Red Skull I guess) knew that it requires a sacrifice Can’t wait for part 2. I’ll be here again to give a lot more random info and trivia about this movie 👉🏻😎👉🏻
Wanda wielded the Stones at one point, as well. She used them to cleanse the Universe and give each Avenger what they truly wanted as thanks for saving it. Tony got his parents back (and overcame his alcoholism), Steve got to be with Peggy, Banner achieved inner peace, Peter got Uncle Ben back, so on and so forth. It was essentially the event that soft-rebooted Marvel around... The early 00s? But it ended up getting borked and Wanda had to fix her fixing, which created a rift, IIRC. Also, Wanda is, herself, a Nexus Event. The Scarlet Witch exists across all facets of the Multiverse and is impossible to truly exterminate for that very reason. That becomes an important fact later.
Surprised you didn't go to theaters for this as it was the best cinema experience I have ever had. And to have no spoilers until now? Truly remarkable! What if you go to Vormir alone? How do you make a sacrifice?
That's because were sadists. Lol. Especially for watching new Yt reactions to it. Their tears feed us. 😈 But, not as much as GAME OF THRONES reaction videos do. Lmao.
Truly, this movie is a masterpiece. With all the characters, all the moving parts and the culmination of 10 years of individual films, the precision and perfection of this thing is truly remarkable.
The four new bad guys that the Avengers face in this are the _other_ Children of Thanos: Cull Obsidian - the big hammer/claw dude Ebony Maw - telekinetic Squidward Corvus Glaive - the elf guy with the big... glaive Proxima Midnight - the creepy chick. They're all kids that Thanos saved, just like Gamora, from their planet being culled, and adopted as his warriors.
Saved...... Right...... More like killed half of their people then kidnapped them. Saved my ass. What bs. Straight up bs. He is a psychotic mass murdering bully. With no other plan that to kill trillions FOR NO GOOD REASON. saved right 😂😂😂🤦
"I'll never forget (Heimdall) again" five seconds later he dies. "Even until his final breath, Loki talking trash" five seconds later he dies. Excellent timing.
So Thanos is indeed "noble" as in he is of "noble birth". Weather he's noble in nature, that's up for you to decide. He's a little more complex than some of the villains we've already seen (although the MCU is not known for super complex villains). Enjoy the sadness and despair! LOL just so you know, that burner phone is the one Steve gave him in the envelop with the letter with his apology, and letting know Tony can call any time. :) Steve's number is probably the only one in there, maybe along with like Sam or something?
While you have everything correct, I have to expand that the one big gripe I have with the MCU is the lack of properly fleshing out the villains. It was honestly the most refreshing thing that Marvel did in the original comics. It wasn't until the Bronze Age of the comics the DC started writing compelling villains, and even then, the best versions of that all came from Batman. Harvey being bipolar and self-destructive, Fries trying to save his wife from a debilitating illness (and being canned for it), Bane evolving into a thoughtful, caring person by the time he was fully developed (if you haven't read the Tabula Rasa comics where he becomes a good guy in canon, they're touching, actually)... They borrowed a lot of the beats Kirby and Stan set into motion with the original writings from the golden years of Marvel. They pretty much created Frank Miller, if you think about it.
@@AspieMediaBobby That doesn't fully negate the fact that he was a rightful heir to rule the Eternals. He is of noble blood, whether he was accepted or not. Elizabeth had Mary, Queen of Scots beheaded for attempted usurpation of the British throne, but that did not change the fact Mary was a Queen.
Yeah, whether Thanos is noble in nature is up to interpretation. Many would consider trying to wipe out all of existence a monstrous deed, but some would also say that doing something horrible for a seemingly righteous purpose to avoid something worse - in Thanos' case, wanting to prevent societal collapse caused by overpopulation - could be seen as a noble task.
It has been so much fun watching you enjoy these movies. It gives me a reason to watch them again and remember how fired up I was when I first saw them as well. Great work.
Phish is a traveling rock band, akin to the Grateful Dead; Ben and Jerry's being an ice cream company with a hippie-theme, has such flavors as Cherry Garcia (named after Jerry Garcia, frontman and founder of the Grateful Dead), etc.
14:59 I *loved* Wanda's fight against Proxima Midnight. It was so cool to see Wanda use her incredible powers in hand-to-hand combat, especially since it felt like a payoff from all her training w/ Cap & Black Widow between Age of Ultron & Civil War. 15:38 I'm also glad it was Cap, Widow & Falcon who came to her rescue tbh. Besides Hawkeye & Vision, they're probably the closest thing she has to family: 1) they were her teammates up to the Lagos mission in Civil War 2) they broke her & the others out of the Raft at the end of Civil War
Now we are here, this movie is the biggest one of our time because of the building for 11 year just for this one to come out. no one knew what’s was coming or what to expect. It’s a real Masterpiece everything about this movie is amazing from the dialogue from the characters and how everyone connected together. And don’t forget about how the first 5 minutes of the movie we had our biggest deaths Loki and Heimdall, so after this everything become possible and everyone was at the risk of getting killed.
Infinity War and Endgame perfectly translate the epic, universe-spanning storytelling that take place in the Marvel cross over events in the comics to the screen. A lot of critics tend to nitpick the small details, but I think these two movies are the perfect end cap to almost a decade and a half of interconnected stories.
When the Guardians reach Knowhere, Thanos already has the reality stone (got it from The Collector) so he was able to alter reality. Hence why Star Lord's gun shot bubbles.
Your marvel reactions are literally what I look forward to every Monday but maaaaaaaannnnnn I've never been so excited to see someone else experience something for the first time in my life.
I love films and tv shows in general and its amazing seeing people react so enthusiastically and positively to them. Love this channel hope to see more content soon.
The crazy thing you mention everything coming together, think of all the people who started watching when Iron Man came out in 2007, so 12 years of movies leading up to this then a year wait for endgame. what is insane for me to think about is I was a huge fan of MARVEL and ended up getting to work on infinity war and endgame, which I never expected when I was watching Iron Man
My personal head cannon on why thanos was able to beat hulk is that when hulk is fighting Thanos instead of anger it is replaced by fear thus hulk looses power (the angrier he is the more powerful he is), also the reason why hulk refuses to come out after going to earth is that he's embarrassed that he was beat by thanos
For me as a 12 year old in 1977, the COOLEST thing was the electrical sound of the lightsabers. Next, of course, was that utterly badass dogfight scene.
i swear, everytime alex says something, my reaction is "oh dude, you have NO IDEA" loving every second of this haha :) aww man, i thought part 1 meant infinity war, and part 2 was endgame.
It killed me very early on in the movie reactions when he was like "Iron Man and Captain America are my favorites. I cant wait for them to put their differences aside and work together". I was like oh no no no he has no idea that Civil War is coming XD
26:50 Thanos literally strains from all the energy surging through him, once a stone is added. he's the strongest being in the universe (for the time-being), but it still hurts him. IMAGINE WHAT IT'LL DO TO ANYONE NOT ON HIS LEVEL!
Now that spider man has referenced it, you should really watch the alien movies. They are all time classics, well at least the first two are, and those two hold up really well
I was an ok avengers fan when Infinity war came out but i never watched it, so I watched Endgame in Cinema without watching Inifinity but still knowing what happened then when i went back and watched Infinity war it was so good, such a good movie no ive been a huge fan of the MCU for 2 years
He didn't... Want to think about it. He tossed her so fast because if he dwelled on it he wasn't sure if he could do it. Thanos. Is complex. A bad guy for sure. But. Not any simple villain.
less people = less food/water needed = less of a mess they make = better world sounds cold but its true, technically morally and etc is a different story
Yeah only for him to have to do the exact same thing like every decade or so. Not a good plan or sound or smart or anything half way intelligent at all . You know all those things they make him out to be.....😂😂😂🤦
@@DarkKatzy013 every decade? if we consider billions if not trillions of creatures died in the mcu in the blip, it would take centuries for the same amount to be born again. and even if thanos ended up having to do it periodically the end result would still work every time, it doesnt matter that its not a good plan. it would just be really dark and depressive
At some point you need to start the X-Men/Deadpool movies, the previous Spider -Man movies, the Blade trilogy, and the Venom movies. All pre/separate from the MCU movies, but worth the watch. Just like with the MCU watch them in release order, especially the X-Men/ Deadpool movies as they connect to each other just like the MCU. Can’t wait for part 2! Have a good week!
The clue i had that Tony had not married. He was talking about a "Harry Winston" they are typically rings with gemstones- more likely to be engagement rather than wedding rings.
This was a great & genuine reaction! All of us were thinking “Just wait” and smiling, and laughing along with you. 😎 So great! Thank you for starting this journey, it gets crazy!! Just wait!🤪
This is what I was waiting since you started your marvel Mondays! I like endgame but Ifinity War is the best avengers movie imo and the best time I had on theater in many years. Great to see you excited for it as well and enjoying it!
"Tuna is one of those foods where I always think you are going to get food poisoning from it." Wow. Video after video, your brain truly gets smoother and smoother. It's actually impressive in a sad kind of way.
That scene when the Guardians bring Thor's body into the shit is a scene that I've always liked that doesn't get much notice but actually says a lot... Pretty much straight away the other characters can tell that there is something different about Thor, Drax and specially Gomora, with her extensive experience, can just tell that Thor is a heavy hitter... Hell, Gomora herself is enhanced and she's like 😶 "His muscles look like they are made of metal fibers"
Infinity War is so good, when this came out I was so tired of all the snarky silly Villains always cracking jokes that it was so refreshing to finally get a cold and calculated villain whose actually a threat, also was nice to finally get some deaths and have actual stakes, I love it aside from a Villain(s) I won't spoil he's definitely the best of the MCU a great complex and powerful villain.
I love how at teh starting of teh movie he was so relaxed making jokes about loki when being choked thinking he won't die because its amraval film like any other, but he died and he got so confused
in olden times all varmints were called rabbits, and with Thor being 1500 y/o he'd have been trained by an archaic teaching system, where everything was called rabbit..
Never slapped my gooch so hard or so fast. Seriously though, no other studio has ever taken the patient, slow time to build characters over multiple movies and through so many perils and learning moments... to come to this. This was something extremely special. And starting it with 2 back to back deaths of really loved characters sets the tone... no one is safe in this movie. Anyone could die. And to keep track of all the movie parts, and give everyone screen time that felt important and aided the story... that's impressive film making.
The Avengers messing up and Loki getting away was done because Disney wanted to make a Loki tv series. That explains why the Avengers didn't get the Cube from Asgard.
Seeing Alex's reactions is the best part of these videos!!💯 Alex: I can't tell if Captain America looks badass or like the dude who'd rock corduroy pants all the time... Answer: Yes
Doing a two part movie reaction and not dropping them on the same day is pretty brutal. There is no way I'm doing that to myself, so will be waiting for part 2 to drop before even starting.
@@SvenDeBinj I dunno what channels you been watching but every reaction channel I watch that do 2 part reviews drop them on the same day always if they can help it. Splitting up the reactions over multiple days is pretty scummy and disrespectful to your viewers making them wait multiple days to finish one reaction to one movie, especially if the entire reaction is already done and ready to drop.
@@SvenDeBinj literally none I have watched... and I have watched many... MANY reactors. The only time I have seen reactors not release multiple part reactions of the same episode/movie on the same day was if there was something wrong and they had to delay it. And even if what you were saying were true(it's not) that still doesn't change the fact that it is a shitty move that deprives watchers just so that the reactor can artificially keep his viewership up over multiple days doing the same amount of work.
This movie came out not long after I went through a bad breakup of a looong term relationship. First and only movie (so far) I've seen in theaters alone. It was opening night, I got to the theater over an hour early, got a great seat, and while the theater was packed I had a couple seats next to me and a father and son were looking around, I waved them over. More or less ended up watching the film with them. Wouldn't take it back for anything.
YESSS! Been waiting for this Alex!🔥🔥.. you've made it this far! Congrats! And what a clever way to make this reaction into 2 parts haha! Just make sure you won't get spoiled by anything! Just want to say, I was a bit late when this movie came out in theatres, and I got spoiled too much :(((. And turned out it reduces the magnificentness of this movie. And it was an experience and a lesson. So, the next yearI alonv with buddies watching Endgame on the first day of its premier and totally worth it! And I would say it was one of the greatest experience of my life! Can't wait to see the rest of the reaction Alex!!!
FUN FACT: The reason that thanos does the infinity snap in the comics is to impress lady death who both he and deadpool have a relationship with but in the movie it is implied that Titan (thanos's home planet) is 6 degrees off its axis which caused a shift that destroyed the planets agriculture and food supply thanos noticed this and thought it was due to overpopulation when in actuality the shift in its axis was causing the planet to slowly die

But they messed with time in the entire endgame movie though
@@BasedCompany Considering that 50 fucking percent of the universe gone, I'd say that it's worth the risk.
And Spider-Man.

@@cryptog3509 release order
7:54 The flip phone was from Steve at the end of Civil War, it was in the package that was delivered by FedEx Guy Stan Lee
Aww yes!! It’s finally here!
“And for another, we have a Hulk” Loki used the same line Tony used on him in The Avengers. This and Endgame have a lot of callbacks
“No resurrections this time” Thanos made sure we all knew Loki wasn’t coming back
“Tony why do you have a flip phone for?” It’s the phone Steve gave to him at the end of Civil War with the letter saying he’d be there to fight if needed
“Hey Doc, you wouldn’t happen to be moving your hair would you?” “Not at the moment, no” if you look closely throughout the movie Strange’s hair is constantly just moving even when it shouldn’t be so that line indicates he’s moving it on purpose for some reason
Thanos’ lines in this movie are so fucken iconic. They get memed a lot but still they’re some of the coldest lines in CBM history. Which is only fair since he’s one of, if not, the best villain ever
“Grimace?” The Grimace was this purple blob that used to be a mascot for McDonald’s way back in the day
When Spider-Man meets up with Tony and says it’s his fault he’s there and Tony asks “what did you say?” If you look, Strange’s cloak moves in a way that makes it look like it too just asked the same question. I love these subtle little details
Fun fact: the arms in Spider-Man’s suit are called waldos
To answer your question, anyone can wield the gauntlet and use it. In the comics Nebula wields it but iirc she doesn’t have the same mental fortitude that Thanos has so it kinda goes haywire
Fun fact #2: Dave Batista improvised the “why is Gamora?”
Gamora wanted Quill to kill her so Thanos couldn’t extort the info about where the soul stone was from her. No one (aside from Red Skull I guess) knew that it requires a sacrifice
Can’t wait for part 2.
Best part is they were all callbacks that mattered... that felt earned and important.
Ima be real honest with you, I have never seen such a long comment, I think you deserve some kind of reward for this, seriously
Always loved that when Thanos and Gamora first see Red Skull, Thanos very subtlety puts Gamora behind him. Showing he truly does care about her
I'm glad you've split it into two parts, but I'm gutted I can't watch part 2 now! 😭
Surprised you didn't go to theaters for this as it was the best cinema experience I have ever had. And to have no spoilers until now? Truly remarkable! What if you go to Vormir alone? How do you make a sacrifice?
Easy, you can't.
Is like going to a store with no money, how do you buy? You don't.
I love infinity war so much, I've rewatched this movie a lot and is my favourite marvel movie
I bet I’ve watched this movie about 15-20 times

@@MlKETSU I agree, I liked it better than Endgame if I’m being honest.
The four new bad guys that the Avengers face in this are the _other_ Children of Thanos:
Cull Obsidian - the big hammer/claw dude
Ebony Maw - telekinetic Squidward
Corvus Glaive - the elf guy with the big... glaive
Proxima Midnight - the creepy chick.
They're all kids that Thanos saved, just like Gamora, from their planet being culled, and adopted as his warriors.
Saved...... Right...... More like killed half of their people then kidnapped them. Saved my ass. What bs. Straight up bs. He is a psychotic mass murdering bully. With no other plan that to kill trillions FOR NO GOOD REASON. saved right 😂😂😂🤦
Proxima is played by Carrie Coon who is absolutely gorgeous.
Thanos is half-Eternal,half-Deviant and considered an abomination and pariah by both rival species!
Lol Thanos is just a simp in the comics

Besides Hawkeye & Vision, they're probably the closest thing she has to family:
1) they were her teammates up to the Lagos mission in Civil War
2) they broke her & the others out of the Raft at the end of Civil War
Even when the world is in jeopardy, Tony manages to land a number of jokes to lighten the mood.
Almost like it's a coping mechanism or something.
Infinity war my absolute favorite MCU movie!! I remember the theaters reaction of seeing Captain America appear was one of my favorite moments!

I am greatful I saw this opening night. Having no idea what was going to happen. The shock,
When the Guardians reach Knowhere, Thanos already has the reality stone (got it from The Collector) so he was able to alter reality. Hence why Star Lord's gun shot bubbles.

Infinity War is easily my favourite movie and I can't wait for the part 2 and emotional damage
