yeah, Garfield and Zendaya made it feel real. That scene is my absolute favorite scene, just thinking of it makes me wanna ugly cry... I have to admit, I love all the Spiderman movies, ''except for the one where Toby/Peter is a DUSH''. This is my favorite because Toby, Tom and Garfield are just so adorable together, the web scene cracks me up...
Makes it better that in homecoming and in beyond the spiderverse they showed that miles and uncle aaron do exist in the cinematic universe So technically miles as spiderman could be in tom’s universe

I managed too. Was very into the MCU till avengers, but stopped when that ended. I just got back, saw this reaction, saved it for later, went and watched the movie, was utterly surprised :D And I wasn't even trying to avoid the spoilers.
The reason Peter chooses 'Team Villain' is because deep down he has sympathy for *all* of his villains. That's why he saved Vulture in Homecoming, because he believes that everyone deserves a second chance, and honestly I find that admirable. That's why Spidey has been my role model since I was a kid!
Norman's one of the few people who can legitimately take Peter's punches even when he's not holding back due to the super soldier serum that gave him his insanity.

The youngest is four and in a Hulk-/Spidey-phase, screaming randomly „Hulk smash“ or jumping around like Spiderman and discussing how exactly the net-shooting works. Willem Defoe is legitimately terrifying. He can switch between the calm scared and goblin so easily. This whole movie was one gigantic nerdgasm. It was so well handled. It could hvae been sooo god damned corny, but they worked in the call backs so they felt earned and natural. Every single one of them got cheers and laughs from the audience rather than groans. This movie was just too damn good.
43:10 yeah Peter strength is absolutely broken but people also tend to forget the super soldier serum that Norman took makes him as strong if not stronger than Peter. So the scariest thing about that scene is how easy the green goblin is taking full power hits from spiderman

Spider-Man is insanely strong in the comics. In one arc he switches bodies with Octavius (no further spoilers but it was a pretty good story) and Doc has to become the new Spider-Man in that body. He tries fighting villains but realises immediately how strong Peter's body is after accidentally one-tap killing a few guys and literally destroying half of Scorpion's face with a single punch. He sees that Peter has been holding off this entire time, imagine how many times he punched Otto in the face and hasn't killed him
Seeing this movie opening weekend in a theater full of people that grew up on Tobey Mcguires spiderman and andrews, and seeing all the best villians return in one movie will be something i never forget, the energy and experience that was there was incredible.

Infinity War, Endgame, and No Way Home are some of the best theater experiences I will ever have. I went with the boys opening night every time and that experience with everyone in that theater will be something I’ll always remember. Each and every person in the room was just as excited and thrilled as me and my friends, and it felt like one big community. Super awesome feeling. Marvel has been stellar on these experiences.
So you mentioned that Tobey is the best Peter, Andrew is the best Spider-Man, and that Tom is the best combination of both. That is something that the studio said as well. If you notice in the movie, Andrew is completely Spider-Man when you meet him, Tobey is completely Peter when you meet him and Tom is in his suit with his mask off. Half and half. You nailed it
28:57 the way Tom Holland acted this scene, going from disbelief, to trying to help May and comfort her as she died, to disbelief again that she's dead - in a way that showed how he innocently just tried to make her feel comfortable and help her as much as he could, without realizing that it means she's dying, to the moment he understands she's dead.. was utterly a master class of acting
I'll never forget seeing this in theaters. My son who was 16 at the time was sobbing and freaking out when Andrew and Toby came into the move. That was literally his childhood and it was a chilling moment. Glad you enjoyed it, brother!
Tobey was the most human out of any of them. No genius family, no rich mentor characters, he was just some college kid who was really smart who randomly got super powers and had to learn how to live life with all the new chaos that came about because of it. That's also why he often seems the most relatable of the three.

Dude, I saw it on the opening week. I had people crying and sobbing when aunt May died and people screaming of excitement when Tobey and Andrew showed up. It was one of the best movie experiences I had.
This movie brings tear to my eyes because my best friend was a huge Spiderman fan and he passed away a year or so before this came out. He would have loved it as it brought all three together. It's a great movie. RIP Scotty
I’ve had similar feelings about shows and movies I enjoyed with my best friend before she died. But now it’s like watching it for both of us. And when you really know someone, at least you can imagine their glee, their expressions, when they would nudge you, what inside jokes they’d crack that would make you laugh and people look at you with disapproval. It’s not much, but it’s something.

I cannot stress enough how much I recommend the extended cut. It’s the same movie, but more Tobey, more Andrew, More Daredevil, more Tom, and finally Tom’s brother has a scene that didn’t get cut from one of the movies. So glad you chose that version to watch. Possibly the only UA-camr that’s reacted to the extended cut.
I didn't even know there was an extended cut! So thats where the interviews with Betty Brant came into it, I have no recollection of seeing that in the theater.
@@Jesse-lq1dv it was announced almost a year ago. It was called the More Fun Stuff version. They did that to help celebrate 60 years of Spider-Man. For now it’s only on digital. No physical copies yet. Hopefully other reactors working their way up the MCU ladder consider watching the extended cut, but they may need help from a second or third party so they don’t spoil themselves with the poster.

The whole trouble definitely can be avoided if Dr. Strange and Peter spend 5 minutes to discuss the spell and what it does before they begin 😂 But then there won't be a movie.
Why would Strange have that conversation though? His ego is way larger than anybody elses in the MCU and hes overly confident to the point he thinks he can control more than he can. That conversation wouldn't even have been a thought for Strange and the writing wouldve been much worse if they had went that route

The crowd reactions in theatres was insane for the daredevil cameo, once Andrew and Toby walked in the roar was crazy! As well the whole interactions between the 3 spidermen you could sense the ear to ear smiles on everyone Not to mention the moment that made everyone what to see Andrew get his 3rd Spider-Man movie Was one hell of an experience
Mine had a big enough reaction to the Daredevil cameo and Spider-men scenes, lol. The biggest and quietest one, was obviously when MJ fell. I, like many others (which I heard) gasped oh no's, and we were then silent until Andrew Garfield caught her. The air had been sucked clean out of the room.
Ock is, and always will be, my favorite of the film "villains". Even in Spider-Man 2, he was so hard NOT to like because even while he was doing "bad" things, he was still so polite and charming about it. And he wasn't bad so much as misguided because his entire thing was still trying to complete his work to give sustainable energy to the world.
Before this movie End Game was the best theatrical experience I ever had. This movie is now tied with it. The amount of cheering and laughing was amazing.

Watching this in theater was the best cinema experience ever. The rumors about all spiderman being in there were everywhere (even tho Andrew denied it so believable for months) I was so freaking happy. I always get goosebumps when Andrew takes off his mask. It's still unbelievable.
Never have I ever had a better experience in a theater, then seeing No Way Home. There was an electricity in the theater I’ve never felt before, and watching it with my friends, family, and a packed crowd genuinely was hard to process what we were experiencing. It was everything I wanted and more, I cried, we clapped and cheered. It was an experience I’ll never forget. What an exceptional movie.
yeah i think Endgame an No Way Home are the most exciting movies in the whole MCU everyone clapped and cheered in those 2 movies, such an amazing experience
I'll never forget the day I went to the theatre to watch this movie, so many people were clapping and cheering when we saw the villains and the spider-men on screen. this was such a awesome movie and is in top 5 of my favorite marvel movies.
I told everyone that I didn’t need anything for Christmas because going with me to see this movie WAS my Christmas gift and even though I still got stuff this was the most memorable part of December for me.
This movie was a perfect love letter to the Marvel and Spiderman fans. It gave us pretty much everything we could have wanted but never really dared to hope for while also just being a great film. The fact that Andrew and Tobey being in the film was kept secret until release really helped make this a great experience (a lot of people suspected but no one really had confirmation going in).
Dude, seeing this in theaters... holy shit. When Andrew walked through the portal I lost my mind and started clapping, then the whole theater erupted into applause, same for Toby. It was AWESOME.
The cheers in the theatre when the villains specifically green goblin appeared was insane.. Toby and Andrew got standing ovations literally and then from that point on the theatre just kept laughing and cheering, theatre when CRAZY when andrew's SP saved MJ. I seen it 3 times in theatre was worth it every time. It was an amazing way to bring in a new year.

The thing that hurt me the most is when Strange said "everyone who knows and loves you will forget you" he ends that with "we will forget you" (not word for word but still)
A scene most people miss and is probably the coolest shot in the movie is when all 3 regroup and then head back to the fight. As they're swinging off the scaffolding, they use each other's webs to keep each other in midair for a little longer.

I went and saw this movie 3 times in theatres and on my last watch, I dressed up as Toby's Spiderman and posed with a whole bunch of random people and small children. It was honestly one of the coolest things I have ever done just seeing those kids so happy.
It’s a shame you didn’t get to see it in theatres because the audiences reactions made it a whole lot better, it was much more emotional to get to share that experience with like 50 other people
I don't think anything will top the end of Infinity War, when the lights come up and we're walking out, and there's a kid in SPIDERMAN PYJAMAS who just says to their dad "Did they really kill Spiderman?" and starts ballling Kids don't understand that, no, there's a studio system and the heros always come back, and this is basically a two parter. No Way Home was one of the best movie theater experiences I've had in years, crowd was cheering, laughing, balling, the total package. It reminded me of why I love these characters and go see these films, its really a special movie. Depsite the MCUs lackluster streak, I'm always down to see a Spider-Man film. Hopefully they deliver with the Fantastic Four & X-Men.
The applause in the theatre when daredevil appeared and when the peters appeared made it even better of an experience. I think most people knew about Tobey an Andrew, but I don’t think anyone expected Charlie Cox.
A lot of us knew about Garfield and the others like a whole year before the movie came out, there were so many leaks and if you knew who to watch they had a ton of real leaks, we knew what Norman was gonna look like after the first trailer came out, and surprisingly after all the leaks and even the video of Andrew in front of the blue screen shooting the scaffolding scene none of diminished the movie in any way
I felt like my life was complete and I could die peacefully after watching this the first time in theaters. One of the best movies I had seen in a long time.
This, and Avengers: Infinity War, are the two MCU movies that I saw people legit crying in their seats after certain scenes, including my family and friends. When I saw both of them in the theater (No Way Home was for my birthday), I almost cried multiple times.
Saw this opening night and it was phenomenal! The gasps, cheers, laughs. And of course the tears. My brother put his arm around me when May stumbled bc he knew how I was going to react, and I started sobbing. It's a scene that still gets to me even watching the reaction. May is such a great character and mom-figure, and I love that she is his Uncle Ben. So happy this was somehow blind, since the internet posted this movie everywhere after I left the theaters.
I actually had to keep from yelling out "redemption" in the theater when that happened. It was such a great moment, and well deserved. Not just for the character, but for Andrew himself as well.
up there with "Bring me Thanos!", "You should have gone for the head", Cap catching Mjolnir and "and I am Iron Man" for me as far as goosebumps go. Actually scratch that, "Are you okay" made me legitimately cry and still waters my eyes every time I see it, hands down the best Marvel scene ever
And after wathing this scene multiple times you can see all the small deatails between saving MJ and losing Gwen. For example in TASM2 Peter shot the web from far away, trying to make it go through the debris but in NWH Peter (3) just went through the debris, pushing stuff out of the way and grabs her with his hands instead of the web. It's just shows how much it hunt him and he was constantly thinking of how he could save Gwen
Especially after you get the scene where Amazing is talking about what he went through with Gwen's death and how dark he got, his redemption was so well done.
Watched it over here in UK and nothing can touch the hype of seeing all three of them on screen together, we’re usually a quiet lot but the noise in that theatre was insane. As a 19 year old I pretty much grew up watching all of them but Andrew was always my favourite and to see him again, it was amazing.
In theaters this was by far one of the best days of my life, The crowd reactions to every joke, their reveal , every epic moment and the constant applaud to every callback was genuinely so perfect. Will always remember that day

OMG... the scene where Garfield's Peter saves MJ... gets me every time. I had just lost my fiancee a few months before this came out and seeing that scene just brings that back every time I see it.
WOOHOO !!! This one was SUPER awesome with an almost Endgame-level payoff. The only part that seemed out-of-character was after all that Dr. Strange had been concerned about the time stone and protecting realities during Infinity War and Endgame, you'd think he'd have pulled out a notepad and worked out the fine print on the spell before starting it. But of course if he did that there would be no movie so I get why he didn't. And props to Willem Defoe - he came back on the condition he got to do his own stunts - AT 65! I also loved that Andrew got some closure w/ saving MJ, and Tobey got closure with Doc Ock. There was also something very meta about the idea of what would you tell your younger self and it was really cool that Andrew and Tobey got to do that for Tom, both in character and out. Aunt May dying but saying the line also reveals something interesting. We never saw Tom's Spiderman origin story of getting bit, etc., but in many ways, THIS was the culmination of Tom's origin story as Spiderman - the moment he had to choose Spiderman over love and strike out as an adult. Connecting the larger dots - the events of Loki are what created the conditions for the multiverse to be exploited in this movie in the first place, and the chaos that ensued in this movie along with WandaVision set up the events for Dr. Strange 2 which is "Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness" which you'll also really like. This multiverse thing is also BIG for how they are explaining bringing all the characters from different franchises together - like X-men and Deadpool and all that, since "because multiverse" explains whatever they want it to. There is also some rumors that MAYBE they'll be able to bring back the "big 3" that way (Downey, Evans, Johansson), which they've not confirmed or denied but if it did happen, that would be so epic. The next big endgame-level event is a few years away with Avengers 5+6, but that will focus on the multiversal war that miss minutes eluded to in Loki, and so truly anything could happen with that. There is also mumblings of future spiderman movies/appearances with Tobey and also with Andrew, although they are still in the planning/talking stage so we don't have anything definitive yet, but after the response to NWH, there is clearly a market for more of them as well. (And YES - have kids. The world needs smart, good children raised by smart, good parents to grow up to be smart, good adults - that's you and Sarah - watch JBP talk about having kids if you need further convincing) Cheers
Your journey towards No Way Home was almost as hype as when the movie was coming. Man, what a dream come true it really was to see all three Spideys together! All the hate it gets that, "It's just nostalgia." "It's just fanservice" is bull crap. It's a masterpiece of a movie! So excited for Tom Holland's future in the MCU and thankful to have seen Tobey and Andrew teach and mentor him. Love Spider-Man No Way Home so freaking much!

Otto Octavius is without a doubt my favorite Marvel villian because of being not just a reluctant villain but also being a man of science whose goal was never to conquer, or make money, but to better the world. This movie being his redemption is one of my favorite things to happen in all of the sony-verse or MCU.
I wish I could see this in theaters again for the first time. It was the best experience. I didn't know that Toby and Andrew were gonna be in it and I legit cried when they showed up amd swung together. Toby is my childhood spidey so seeing this made me so happy

fun fact: the movie originally was about the hunt for spiderman as a public menace, and would've involved Kraven the Hunter. But now, they are making a kraven the hunter movie on its own, without a spiderman lmao.
I mean... Kraven was already a expert and famous hunter when he was fired to hunt spideman, it would be interesting if they make a origin movie and the post-credit is "did you hear about this spider-man? >:D"

Fun fact! Otto does have reason to know what nanotechnology is besides him being a genius. Norman Osborn had written papers on the subject, something Peter Parker had known about and understood, and Oscorp sponsored Otto. He also did mention that part of the technology of his robotic arms have nanowires in them. Norman isn't a normal human, he's been enhanced by the drug that drove him crazy. He was as strong or stronger than Toby's Spider-Man in the first movie
I remember when I had to drive to another country to watch this movie because my country went in lockdown day before the release. I was sat in a theater with mostly people from my country because no one was able to see it. It was a day I'll always remember, the crowd reactions were amazing and I cried when I saw Toby and Andrew
Fact is Spider-Man always holds his punches, because he can explode heads quite easily. Also the Green Goblin was always in the top 3 hardest villains for Spidey.
I am not even the biggest fan but we screamed and clap and whooped when Garfield and McGuire first appeared. I think some of us might have cried! I think we all cried when Garfield got to finally save MJ!!! Such a brilliant and satisfying movie for all Spiderman fans.
38:35 this moment with all 3 spideys on screen was everything. The whole theater for about the last 45 minutes of the movie was like watching the Super Bowl. Definitely some nostalgia, all the spideys and their respective villains are at their best. My older brother noticed I was damn near standing up in the 2nd half of the movie with a giant smile. 10/10 movie going experience easily.

So, Endgame is still the best experience ever for me. 38:55 look at the JOY on Alex's face, its contagious or maybe Im a variant of Alex from another universe! 43:10 Norman's serum made him very strong, the mask was just a prop 46:15 AGAIN, greatest point of ALL TIME! Alex got a lot of complaints about Doctor Strange's power. 46:40 wouldn't it be great if that will be the plot for the 4th film? Peter chasing MJ, and for some reason Peter will fall in love with Betty Brant while both of them working at Jameson's Daily Bugle? And Ned will become his rival since he's Betty's Ex, and he doesnt know Peter at all, and that will be the start of him becoming the Hobgoblin? God I sucked, Thank you for this Alex, You Are Amazing! (Ps. I will wait for the X-men, Deadpool, Daredevil Season 2 & 3, Punisher Season 1 & 2 as long as im alive!)

He was talking about the death as most emotional not the line itself , and he's right , Uncle Ben's is just the perfect classic delivery , this works well as another version but it's just not the same , although the death is more emotional cuz Goblin just brutalises her with the glider and immediately after Spiderman has to run away .
I love your watching the extended version. Especially in the final act you notice that the action is allowed to breathe a little more & I swear the dialogue between the Peter's was sped up in the theatrical cut or seemed to be. Now I just want it on 4K Bluray, for now it's only digital
Watching this movie was the best theater experience ever, sitting in a crowd surrounded by fans, excited and full of joy was one of the most beautiful moments of my life.
OK, it's an answer and a story to your question at (21:12) on "having kids". Having kids is it's own special kind of torture. But i wouldn't change it for the world. I am lucky to have two in my life. One of them is a professional improve-comic and her first "job" after being hired by the owner of the worldwide comedy thing was to pick up someone at the airport. That person turned out to be Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers. Love that mask you got behind ya...had to share. Yep, my daughter had the actual "Michael Myers" in her ve-hickle! Hahaha, my 10 year old self would crack up knowing that truth. ✌
Alex, I gotta say it's been an amazing ride and I wanna thank you for taking us with you on this journey that has been the MCU. My experience was the best so far. Packed theater, so much excitement when the moments called for it and wasnt over done. Every single person was respectful for everyone else. It was amazing a day i will love forever.
The three-way hug at the end was Tom's idea as a way to thank Andrew and Tobei for making the movie. They are thinking of making another trilogy since Tom just signed one of the biggest Marvel contracts ever. Plus there are rumours (a grain of salt) that there are going to be multiples variants of all the heroes and villains in the Kand Dynasty Avengers movie and the Secret Wars (one of my favorite comic storylines ever)
Saw this opening day in my theater and it was unforgettable. UNFORGETTABLE. Getting chills right now writing and thinking about that night. I don’t think I ever cried, screamed, laughed and loved harder for a movie ever. One of my favorite franchises, movies, EVERYTHING ever. Everyone was so invested and emotional. Ugh. I miss that night

yeah, Garfield and Zendaya made it feel real. That scene is my absolute favorite scene, just thinking of it makes me wanna ugly cry... I have to admit, I love all the Spiderman movies, ''except for the one where Toby/Peter is a DUSH''. This is my favorite because Toby, Tom and Garfield are just so adorable together, the web scene cracks me up...

I managed too. Was very into the MCU till avengers, but stopped when that ended. I just got back, saw this reaction, saved it for later, went and watched the movie, was utterly surprised :D And I wasn't even trying to avoid the spoilers.
The reason Peter chooses 'Team Villain' is because deep down he has sympathy for *all* of his villains. That's why he saved Vulture in Homecoming, because he believes that everyone deserves a second chance, and honestly I find that admirable. That's why Spidey has been my role model since I was a kid!

Willem Defoe is legitimately terrifying. He can switch between the calm scared and goblin so easily. This whole movie was one gigantic nerdgasm. It was so well handled. It could hvae been sooo god damned corny, but they worked in the call backs so they felt earned and natural. Every single one of them got cheers and laughs from the audience rather than groans. This movie was just too damn good.

Spider-Man is insanely strong in the comics. In one arc he switches bodies with Octavius (no further spoilers but it was a pretty good story) and Doc has to become the new Spider-Man in that body. He tries fighting villains but realises immediately how strong Peter's body is after accidentally one-tap killing a few guys and literally destroying half of Scorpion's face with a single punch. He sees that Peter has been holding off this entire time, imagine how many times he punched Otto in the face and hasn't killed him
Spiderman is still stronger than Green Goblin, but yeah, Green Goblin is no slouch in the super abilities department.
Seeing this movie opening weekend in a theater full of people that grew up on Tobey Mcguires spiderman and andrews, and seeing all the best villians return in one movie will be something i never forget, the energy and experience that was there was incredible.

Infinity War, Endgame, and No Way Home are some of the best theater experiences I will ever have. I went with the boys opening night every time and that experience with everyone in that theater will be something I’ll always remember. Each and every person in the room was just as excited and thrilled as me and my friends, and it felt like one big community. Super awesome feeling. Marvel has been stellar on these experiences.
So you mentioned that Tobey is the best Peter, Andrew is the best Spider-Man, and that Tom is the best combination of both. That is something that the studio said as well. If you notice in the movie, Andrew is completely Spider-Man when you meet him, Tobey is completely Peter when you meet him and Tom is in his suit with his mask off. Half and half. You nailed it

I'll never forget seeing this in theaters. My son who was 16 at the time was sobbing and freaking out when Andrew and Toby came into the move. That was literally his childhood and it was a chilling moment. Glad you enjoyed it, brother!

No genius family, no rich mentor characters, he was just some college kid who was really smart who randomly got super powers and had to learn how to live life with all the new chaos that came about because of it. That's also why he often seems the most relatable of the three.

Dude, I saw it on the opening week. I had people crying and sobbing when aunt May died and people screaming of excitement when Tobey and Andrew showed up. It was one of the best movie experiences I had.
I was SO not prepared for Aunt May to die.
This movie brings tear to my eyes because my best friend was a huge Spiderman fan and he passed away a year or so before this came out. He would have loved it as it brought all three together. It's a great movie. RIP Scotty

And when you really know someone, at least you can imagine their glee, their expressions, when they would nudge you, what inside jokes they’d crack that would make you laugh and people look at you with disapproval. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend the extended cut. It’s the same movie, but more Tobey, more Andrew, More Daredevil, more Tom, and finally Tom’s brother has a scene that didn’t get cut from one of the movies. So glad you chose that version to watch. Possibly the only UA-camr that’s reacted to the extended cut.
I didn't even know there was an extended cut! So thats where the interviews with Betty Brant came into it, I have no recollection of seeing that in the theater.
@@Jesse-lq1dv it was announced almost a year ago. It was called the More Fun Stuff version. They did that to help celebrate 60 years of Spider-Man.
For now it’s only on digital. No physical copies yet. Hopefully other reactors working their way up the MCU ladder consider watching the extended cut, but they may need help from a second or third party so they don’t spoil themselves with the poster.

Still bitter that my theatre barely reacted when Matt showed up.
Mine had a big enough reaction to the Daredevil cameo and Spider-men scenes, lol. The biggest and quietest one, was obviously when MJ fell. I, like many others (which I heard) gasped oh no's, and we were then silent until Andrew Garfield caught her. The air had been sucked clean out of the room.
Ock is, and always will be, my favorite of the film "villains". Even in Spider-Man 2, he was so hard NOT to like because even while he was doing "bad" things, he was still so polite and charming about it. And he wasn't bad so much as misguided because his entire thing was still trying to complete his work to give sustainable energy to the world.
Before this movie End Game was the best theatrical experience I ever had. This movie is now tied with it. The amount of cheering and laughing was amazing.

Never have I ever had a better experience in a theater, then seeing No Way Home. There was an electricity in the theater I’ve never felt before, and watching it with my friends, family, and a packed crowd genuinely was hard to process what we were experiencing. It was everything I wanted and more, I cried, we clapped and cheered. It was an experience I’ll never forget. What an exceptional movie.

This is absolutely a Christmas movie. Came out around Christmas, and it felt like one giant Christmas present to every Spidey fan ever
I told everyone that I didn’t need anything for Christmas because going with me to see this movie WAS my Christmas gift and even though I still got stuff this was the most memorable part of December for me.
I actually watched this in theaters Christmas day.
This movie was a perfect love letter to the Marvel and Spiderman fans. It gave us pretty much everything we could have wanted but never really dared to hope for while also just being a great film. The fact that Andrew and Tobey being in the film was kept secret until release really helped make this a great experience (a lot of people suspected but no one really had confirmation going in).
Dude, seeing this in theaters... holy shit. When Andrew walked through the portal I lost my mind and started clapping, then the whole theater erupted into applause, same for Toby. It was AWESOME.
The cheers in the theatre when the villains specifically green goblin appeared was insane.. Toby and Andrew got standing ovations literally and then from that point on the theatre just kept laughing and cheering, theatre when CRAZY when andrew's SP saved MJ. I seen it 3 times in theatre was worth it every time. It was an amazing way to bring in a new year.

This movie was really a dream come true Alex. Seeing this movie opening day with full packed crowd was one the best theater experinces ever.
A scene most people miss and is probably the coolest shot in the movie is when all 3 regroup and then head back to the fight. As they're swinging off the scaffolding, they use each other's webs to keep each other in midair for a little longer.
And they all land with their own signature pose.

I went and saw this movie 3 times in theatres and on my last watch, I dressed up as Toby's Spiderman and posed with a whole bunch of random people and small children. It was honestly one of the coolest things I have ever done just seeing those kids so happy.
It’s a shame you didn’t get to see it in theatres because the audiences reactions made it a whole lot better, it was much more emotional to get to share that experience with like 50 other people

No Way Home was one of the best movie theater experiences I've had in years, crowd was cheering, laughing, balling, the total package.
It reminded me of why I love these characters and go see these films, its really a special movie.
Depsite the MCUs lackluster streak, I'm always down to see a Spider-Man film. Hopefully they deliver with the Fantastic Four & X-Men.
The applause in the theatre when daredevil appeared and when the peters appeared made it even better of an experience. I think most people knew about Tobey an Andrew, but I don’t think anyone expected Charlie Cox.
A lot of us knew about Garfield and the others like a whole year before the movie came out, there were so many leaks and if you knew who to watch they had a ton of real leaks, we knew what Norman was gonna look like after the first trailer came out, and surprisingly after all the leaks and even the video of Andrew in front of the blue screen shooting the scaffolding scene none of diminished the movie in any way
I felt like my life was complete and I could die peacefully after watching this the first time in theaters. One of the best movies I had seen in a long time.

This, and Avengers: Infinity War, are the two MCU movies that I saw people legit crying in their seats after certain scenes, including my family and friends. When I saw both of them in the theater (No Way Home was for my birthday), I almost cried multiple times.
Saw this opening night and it was phenomenal! The gasps, cheers, laughs. And of course the tears. My brother put his arm around me when May stumbled bc he knew how I was going to react, and I started sobbing. It's a scene that still gets to me even watching the reaction. May is such a great character and mom-figure, and I love that she is his Uncle Ben. So happy this was somehow blind, since the internet posted this movie everywhere after I left the theaters.

I actually had to keep from yelling out "redemption" in the theater when that happened. It was such a great moment, and well deserved. Not just for the character, but for Andrew himself as well.
up there with "Bring me Thanos!", "You should have gone for the head", Cap catching Mjolnir and "and I am Iron Man" for me as far as goosebumps go. Actually scratch that, "Are you okay" made me legitimately cry and still waters my eyes every time I see it, hands down the best Marvel scene ever
And after wathing this scene multiple times you can see all the small deatails between saving MJ and losing Gwen. For example in TASM2 Peter shot the web from far away, trying to make it go through the debris but in NWH Peter (3) just went through the debris, pushing stuff out of the way and grabs her with his hands instead of the web. It's just shows how much it hunt him and he was constantly thinking of how he could save Gwen
Especially after you get the scene where Amazing is talking about what he went through with Gwen's death and how dark he got, his redemption was so well done.
Watched it over here in UK and nothing can touch the hype of seeing all three of them on screen together, we’re usually a quiet lot but the noise in that theatre was insane. As a 19 year old I pretty much grew up watching all of them but Andrew was always my favourite and to see him again, it was amazing.

This one was SUPER awesome with an almost Endgame-level payoff. The only part that seemed out-of-character was after all that Dr. Strange had been concerned about the time stone and protecting realities during Infinity War and Endgame, you'd think he'd have pulled out a notepad and worked out the fine print on the spell before starting it. But of course if he did that there would be no movie so I get why he didn't.
And props to Willem Defoe - he came back on the condition he got to do his own stunts - AT 65! I also loved that Andrew got some closure w/ saving MJ, and Tobey got closure with Doc Ock. There was also something very meta about the idea of what would you tell your younger self and it was really cool that Andrew and Tobey got to do that for Tom, both in character and out.
Aunt May dying but saying the line also reveals something interesting. We never saw Tom's Spiderman origin story of getting bit, etc., but in many ways, THIS was the culmination of Tom's origin story as Spiderman - the moment he had to choose Spiderman over love and strike out as an adult.
Connecting the larger dots - the events of Loki are what created the conditions for the multiverse to be exploited in this movie in the first place, and the chaos that ensued in this movie along with WandaVision set up the events for Dr. Strange 2 which is "Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness" which you'll also really like.
This multiverse thing is also BIG for how they are explaining bringing all the characters from different franchises together - like X-men and Deadpool and all that, since "because multiverse" explains whatever they want it to. There is also some rumors that MAYBE they'll be able to bring back the "big 3" that way (Downey, Evans, Johansson), which they've not confirmed or denied but if it did happen, that would be so epic. The next big endgame-level event is a few years away with Avengers 5+6, but that will focus on the multiversal war that miss minutes eluded to in Loki, and so truly anything could happen with that.
There is also mumblings of future spiderman movies/appearances with Tobey and also with Andrew, although they are still in the planning/talking stage so we don't have anything definitive yet, but after the response to NWH, there is clearly a market for more of them as well.
(And YES - have kids. The world needs smart, good children raised by smart, good parents to grow up to be smart, good adults - that's you and Sarah - watch JBP talk about having kids if you need further convincing)

Your journey towards No Way Home was almost as hype as when the movie was coming. Man, what a dream come true it really was to see all three Spideys together! All the hate it gets that, "It's just nostalgia." "It's just fanservice" is bull crap. It's a masterpiece of a movie! So excited for Tom Holland's future in the MCU and thankful to have seen Tobey and Andrew teach and mentor him. Love Spider-Man No Way Home so freaking much!
It's funny that Alex mentions watching this movie every Christmas. I watched this movie for the first time in theaters Christmas day. I'll never forget it.

Saw this in cinemas and when Garfield's and McGuire's Spidey showed up, the whole room cheered which was a fantastic thing to experience!

Otto Octavius is without a doubt my favorite Marvel villian because of being not just a reluctant villain but also being a man of science whose goal was never to conquer, or make money, but to better the world. This movie being his redemption is one of my favorite things to happen in all of the sony-verse or MCU.
The day this came out the theatre was even more hype here then it was during endgame it was truly a once in a lifetime experience
I wish I could see this in theaters again for the first time. It was the best experience. I didn't know that Toby and Andrew were gonna be in it and I legit cried when they showed up amd swung together. Toby is my childhood spidey so seeing this made me so happy
Watching this in theater was incredible. I was crying, and my throat kinda hurts because of the screaming from excitement.. everybody's screaming and cheering and clapping

Having kids was one of the best decisions of my life ! I’m 32 with three kids and couldn’t never imagine my life without them ! Definitely a blessing

fun fact: the movie originally was about the hunt for spiderman as a public menace, and would've involved Kraven the Hunter. But now, they are making a kraven the hunter movie on its own, without a spiderman lmao.

I have been following you since you started the MCU & I cannot believe this moment is finally here!! I am so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. The cinema experience was something I can never forget too, I saw it first day... people were sobbing, cheering & clapping .. unforgettable.

Fun fact! Otto does have reason to know what nanotechnology is besides him being a genius. Norman Osborn had written papers on the subject, something Peter Parker had known about and understood, and Oscorp sponsored Otto. He also did mention that part of the technology of his robotic arms have nanowires in them.
Norman isn't a normal human, he's been enhanced by the drug that drove him crazy. He was as strong or stronger than Toby's Spider-Man in the first movie
I remember when I had to drive to another country to watch this movie because my country went in lockdown day before the release. I was sat in a theater with mostly people from my country because no one was able to see it. It was a day I'll always remember, the crowd reactions were amazing and I cried when I saw Toby and Andrew
Fact is Spider-Man always holds his punches, because he can explode heads quite easily.
Also the Green Goblin was always in the top 3 hardest villains for Spidey.
I am not even the biggest fan but we screamed and clap and whooped when Garfield and McGuire first appeared. I think some of us might have cried! I think we all cried when Garfield got to finally save MJ!!! Such a brilliant and satisfying movie for all Spiderman fans.

38:35 this moment with all 3 spideys on screen was everything. The whole theater for about the last 45 minutes of the movie was like watching the Super Bowl. Definitely some nostalgia, all the spideys and their respective villains are at their best. My older brother noticed I was damn near standing up in the 2nd half of the movie with a giant smile. 10/10 movie going experience easily.
seeing this on christmas day, opening night, ill never forget screaming when tobey came out, my favorite movie of all time. it’s genuinely a masterpiece

"It's more powerful coming from Uncle Ben." 5 seconds later. "That gave me goosebumps." "The most emotional one I have seen in the Spiderman movies." Out of all the Spiderman movies, this one hit out of nowhere. To me, the most powerful version of the famous line.
He was talking about the death as most emotional not the line itself , and he's right , Uncle Ben's is just the perfect classic delivery , this works well as another version but it's just not the same , although the death is more emotional cuz Goblin just brutalises her with the glider and immediately after Spiderman has to run away .
I love your watching the extended version. Especially in the final act you notice that the action is allowed to breathe a little more & I swear the dialogue between the Peter's was sped up in the theatrical cut or seemed to be. Now I just want it on 4K Bluray, for now it's only digital

Watching this movie was the best theater experience ever, sitting in a crowd surrounded by fans, excited and full of joy was one of the most beautiful moments of my life.
The reason Norman can take those punches was because the goblin serum was basically the super soldier serum for the rami universe
OK, it's an answer and a story to your question at (21:12) on "having kids". Having kids is it's own special kind of torture. But i wouldn't change it for the world. I am lucky to have two in my life. One of them is a professional improve-comic and her first "job" after being hired by the owner of the worldwide comedy thing was to pick up someone at the airport. That person turned out to be Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers. Love that mask you got behind ya...had to share. Yep, my daughter had the actual "Michael Myers" in her ve-hickle! Hahaha, my 10 year old self would crack up knowing that truth. ✌

Alex, I gotta say it's been an amazing ride and I wanna thank you for taking us with you on this journey that has been the MCU. This movie really brought so much excitement for the kid in our hearts and seeing this for the first time is a once in a lifetime experience. Here's to many more adventures!!:D
My experience was the best so far. Packed theater, so much excitement when the moments called for it and wasnt over done. Every single person was respectful for everyone else. It was amazing a day i will love forever.
The three-way hug at the end was Tom's idea as a way to thank Andrew and Tobei for making the movie. They are thinking of making another trilogy since Tom just signed one of the biggest Marvel contracts ever. Plus there are rumours (a grain of salt) that there are going to be multiples variants of all the heroes and villains in the Kand Dynasty Avengers movie and the Secret Wars (one of my favorite comic storylines ever)
Saw this opening day in my theater and it was unforgettable. UNFORGETTABLE. Getting chills right now writing and thinking about that night. I don’t think I ever cried, screamed, laughed and loved harder for a movie ever. One of my favorite franchises, movies, EVERYTHING ever. Everyone was so invested and emotional. Ugh. I miss that night
