When I watched this at my theatre, it was packed. By the end of the movie and walking out to our cars, no one really had anything to say. This one hit a lot of people in the gut. Unreal how they got us to care deeply for these fictional characters.

Exactly! Leaving the theatre, it was SO QUIET! A packed theatre, a really good movie, but . . . Silence! It was kind of bizarre. Only one other time did I leave a movie theatre and it was that quiet.

Some of the most memorable theater going experiences I had watching this:
    - The crowd cheering when Groot made Stormbreaker's handle, only to be topped a few moments later when Thor arrived in Wakanda a minute later.
    - The gasps as more and more folks got dusted.
    - Talking with my friends on the walk/drive home and every few minutes we have another Oh Crap moment as we think who else in the MCU may or may not have been dusted offscreen (Ned and Aunt May, Daredevil and the Defenders, etc.)

@10m - Hulk doesn't want to come out because he's afraid. He just had his ass kicked by Thanos and watched Thor also get tossed around.
@29:45 - Thanos is an idiot as well as a homicidal madman. There are plenty of other ways to deal with overpopulation and resource shortages besides killing half the population, and killing half doesn't even work. On Earth, our population has about doubled in 50 years. So on other planets where population is growing, you would be back to the same situation in two generations. Some advanced places, like Asgard, had already solved any problems - they had been around for ~15,000 years in a stable state. So they didn't need killing half.
Other ways to deal with the problems include sending advisors or technology to planets that need it, turning uninhabitable planets into livable ones, or moving to space. Thanos' giant ship and Knowhere show you can have large space populations, and there is plenty of space in space, and energy from host stars. I could keep going, but you get the idea. His answer isn't the only answer, and he never asked anyone else if they had any ideas.
The reason Thanos was trying to get other people (Ronan, Loki) to collect the stones for him was if the galaxy knew what he was doing, they would unite against him. He and his army are very powerful, but not powerful enough to fight everyone else at once. The end credit scene where he said "fine, I'll do it myself" was when he knew enough of the stones locations to do a speed run and collect a majority of them before the rest of the Galaxy could unite.
@44m - All plants absorb energy. Groot was exposed to celestial energy while placing the bomb on Ego's core. That's why he grew so fast from a baby to a teenager, and why his arm was strong enough to become a handle for Stormbreaker. So the axe combines Thor's powers with celestial energy, making it a god-tier weapon
@1h4m - Thanos' home planet Titan wasn't wrecked because he killed half the planet. It was wrecked because the people fought back against his attempt to kill half the planet, and it ended up killing everyone. He didn't have Infinity Stones back then. It was just an army of followers and spaceships and "conventional" alien weapons. A nuclear war on Earth could do the same thing. The bombs might kill half the planet at first, but agriculture with contaminated soil and destroyed critical infrastructure could lead to many more deaths in following decades.

The most heartbreaking thing about Spider-Man's death is that not only was his healing factor trying to keep him together but also due to his spider-sense he knew that he would die. That's the in-universe explanation why his death took longer than the other ones.
What happened behind the scenes was that Tom Holland in order to cry tends to repeat the lines in his head, so in the scene he actually said the lines repeated and everyone really liked it.

I mean his eyes glow orange and he's literally said he can see 3 trillion souls. Plus it would have completed the cool trend of all the stone hiding places spelling out the word thanos

This first scene set the tone for the entire film,Thanos boxes the Hulk up-EASILY. LOL. Then kills Loki and Hemdall-EASILY. Then Thanos kills Gamora and the Vision,at the end he snaps half of people in existence outta existence. Thanos was dropping bodies everywhere. LOL. This is the only MCU/Marvel film where the villian wins at the end.

And yet, he gets almost bodied by a bunch of people and a wizard. I always questioned why he never harnesses the power of Stones to the fullest in this film. He has so many abilities, literally reality-bending on a scale of a kilometer at least, and he uses it before battle, but almost nothing during the battles. He could literally tear them to shreds before.

And still, that worked. Precisely because almost no superhero movies before didn't do that before. Also because they didn't leave any "rational" way out. We, the viewers, are left with information that Thanos is now an all-powerful being, and many powerful heroes are DEAD. They were so good in cornering themselves that they literally had to invent new bullshit out of nowhere for the Endgame to have a semblance of logic to work.

The Hulk doesn't want to come out for a reason and contrary to popular belief, it isn't because he's afraid. The situation happening with the Hulk in this film is part 2 of a 3-part character arc. The prelude to the Hulk's arc started in Age of Ultron. He left after the fallout from his unintentional rampage in the film. The Hulk ended up on Sakaar and for the first time in his life, he actually had a life. If you pay attention to the Hulk's appearances up until Thor: Ragnarok and listen to how the other Avengers talk about him, The Hulk has been used as a blunt object. He was just a tool to be used and then put away after he was no longer needed; hence, the Black Widow Lullaby. So basically, he has never had a life since the day he first manifested in physical form. Banner had a life, but the Hulk didn't.
In Thor: Ragnarok (Part 1), the Hulk was loved and respected. He had friends, a home, and an actual life for about 2 or 3 years. When Thor found him, he ended up back in Banner and lost the life he had up until that point. So just like that, the Hulk goes right to only being released when he's needed. Banner attempted to release the Hulk again, but the Hulk didn't come out at first. Banner would've died on the bridge and so would the Hiulk, so he had no choice but to come out. The Hulk allowed himself to be used again when Thanos attacked and yes, Thanos beat him down.
The Hulk isn't afraid; the Hulk is frustrated. That's why he won't come out, and he's determined not to come no matter what happens. Banner is forced to save the day himself; he then tells the Hulk they need to have a long talk with each other. Basically, they need to talk to each other and settle their differences. Banner then goes on to lose to Thanos. Hulk and Banner's character arc ends in Avengers: Endgame. What's really going on between them will be explained.

A steroid version of Empire Strikes Back cliffhanger. Thor was counting on Thanos not finding where the soul stone was since “nobody has seen that” but since Gamora didn’t speak up Thanos won.
In homage to Infinity War, watch the Simpsons episode from Season 31: Bart the Bad Guy. On Disney Plus
I was ecstatic when Aliens (1986) was mentioned and used as a rescue plan to save Dr Strange! If your girlfriend hasn’t seen it, make sure she watches the Special Edition. And the first movie, Alien (1979)
Vision being impaled out of nowhere startled me as well.
I think James Gunn directed the scene of the Guardians meeting Thor
Favorite line by Tony Stark: “Dude you’re embarrassing me in front of the wizards.” 😆
Think Wong was invited to the wedding b/c he saved Tony’s life in a very cool and awesome way.
The whole world was traumatized by the outcome of the movie. Everyone spent almost a year in therapy.
When I have to deal with an over crowded parking lot it makes me think that Thanos had the right idea, lol

Reasoning of Thanos has literally no sense. Overpopulation can be controled by sterilization or just laws. But even if... there is almost infinite amount of resources in every part of universe. If earth had system of mining satelites that gather resources from local asteroids we would have enough stuff for eons. With this amount of resources we could planed building a dyson sphere which would resolve our power problems forever. With infinite power and resources food and space isnt problem anymore.
So if Thanos really would want to bring balance he would just give races more advanced technology. Hes way of resolving it is like covering shit in the floor with a rug.

Why not snap your fingers and multiply Universes resources by a million!?🤷‍♂️ Because then we wouldn't have had a brilliant movie.😅

37:33 When Thanos says he ignored his destiny once, I believe he meant when he sat idly and sent Loki after the Space Stone (the Tesseract) and Ronan after the Power Stone instead of doing the work himself. It was shortly after Ronan's defeat that he had the Infinity Gauntlet made and said, "Fine, I'll do it myself."

Love all the reactions, but perhaps don't spoil things in the title?

You should have spared her from this film.

Not me getting emotional in the Wanda & Vision scenes already. After everything we've been through in the MCU after Infinity War and Endgame, there's some scenes that hit harder now. :(

Your Marvel reactions are so damn good, but right from the start this is the one I was looking forward to the most. And here we are.
What they did with this movie is just phenomenal. All the movies before, all the characters, all the arcs, all the relationships got to this point - and it balances everything perfectly. It really is one of a kind.
    Love you guys.
