I don't understand how to feel when looking back at the last like 10 years of my hobbyist self-taught musical journey, you have always been one of the more consistent content creators whose tips stick with me, yet whose humor forces me to pause your lessons multiple times to regain composure. You're a gem dude
Its proven that our memory is more effective with remembering things that are funny so implementing comedy into your tutorials is genius. Neil Tyson has a comedian on his podcast every episode for this reason. Great work man. I always have anxiety trying to learn all this overwhelming production stuff and this was relieving
I was actually wondering why this thumbnail shows up so many time to my home screen today, until I realized that he is the guy who taught me how to do the drum programming, and I actually subscribed to this channel by myself.
Nice tutorial with humor mixed in. When I was in my twenties I used to be a tour kid and go from festival to festival all summer and show to show during the winter. This character reminds me of the many wookies and lot rats that populate those types of events. So kudos for nailing the vibe and thanks for teaching a little bit about modulation here.
I haven't released any tracks in like 4 years, but every time I catch one of your new uploads I can't help but make new tunes. Honestly, thanks so much dude. You kill it every time!
this reminds me of early producing days when i was a high school teenager. i still make this music from time to time. it is really fun from a sound design stand point. this is why its extra funny. not to mention that im high as shit rn
You have studied the "dudebro just did acid once in a rave" character that I was laughing and cinging all the way through your video. Then I learned how to add reverb and stereo enhance the harmonics of bass. !
Kinda just realizing I spent 10 years of my life listening to this music, and now I can spend 20 years making it and have my friends not listen to it thanks Kelly Underbelly also god help me
honestly might be the best "in character" UA-cam channel. love that you play it straight with all the jokes, adds so much to it 👍 plus the contents great too
So funny, and so useful. I've learned more about ableton functionality watching these than hours of videos about mixing, etc. And his music is amazing...
his combination of comedy & music production is unmatched anywhere else
you are a legend underbelly
P.S. i would love to see some more live looping tutorials with the Push i just got one and it’s so much fun
exactly.
i wanna like your comment and shit but like im high af and your comment has 420 likes dont want to disrupt that shit man

This channel is one of my absolute favorites.
"i learned thats honestly key"
Thank god Kelly made it again, can never be too sure about that guy. He's a dingus.
This man is the greatest music teacher of all time, I understood everything once the laugh was over.
I always have to watch these twice. First time for the laughs and second time for the lesson. Three times.
The Alex Grey on the wall is the icing on the cake or cherry on top. Absolutely love your characters
Nah real talk this guy is a legend. Still remember him having 40k subs like it was yesterday

My dude, you just solved my baseline issue for this jungle track I’m working on, many thanks!
Hahah man what a god, I send your videos to my friends that know nothing about music and have them watch every intro
Best one yet. Kelly needs his own channel.
More of this kind of sound design please.
i hope not bahahaha
